... So if I want to save the same document to a different location, that doesn't appear to be an option. How can I, for example, save to my hard drive if I've already saved to the cloud.

I also don't remember what happens on 10.7.x, but here is what you could do with Mountain Lion...
First, your document is stored on your HD already, so that you can work offline. I mention that in case you think you can't work unless you are on-line.
If you want to save a separate copy for backup reasons, a very good idea, my suggeston would be to simply click on the Filename at the top of the Numbers window and choose Duplicate. You will be presented with a new copy of the document, with the word "copy" appended to the old document name, and it will be selected and waiting for you to customize the name. I suggest that you replace "copy" with "v1" or such to denote a separate version. Next, click on the filename again and choose "Move to...". In "Move to...", choose the alternate storage location of your choice on your HD.

Thanks Alex, but sadly I already tried that. Neither .docx or .xlsx files show up in the content list. They both show as a Chrome HTML document so changing how Firefox addresses those doesn't help since it thinks its the same type of file. I don't think I can manually add files into the "Content Type" left side nav.

Time Capsule which will only let me connect to one device at a time. Anyone else experience this?

I have a Time Capsule which I use with a Macbook Pro and an iMac, as well as my iPhone and an Airport Express. It appears as though it will currently only allow me to connect to one device at a time. I had my MBP and iMac sitting side by side and ran Aiport Utility on both. The Time Capsule would only show up on one or the other but not both. Anyone else experience this? It was working great until a day or so ago.

It sounds as if your Time Capsule is in "Bridge Mode", which would only allow one device to connect to the Internet at a time.
To check......
Open Macintosh HD > Applications > Utilities > AirPort Utility
Click Manual Setup
Click the Internet icon
Check the setting for Connection Sharing
If it is "Off (Bridge Mode)", change it to "Share a public IP address"
Click Update to save your changes

RESOLVED!!! I logged on to my Straight Talk online account, and did a Tech Chat. They immediately gave me a direct phone number and a Reference PIN number and asked me to contact their iPhone specialty support. I called (of course the gentleman's accent was very difficult for me to understand, but managed with asking continually for clarity). He walked me through several tests, setting changes and had me get on my wifi to obtain the latest APN settings. None of his efforts worked ad it was obviously NOT my Straight Talk iPhone 5, 64GB CDMA (no SIM) - it was something with their setting on their end on my account. I was placed on hold a few times and he would come back on to have me try to get on Safari and even Google... after the 3rd on-hold, he returned and asked me to try to use my data again without the wifi turned on and BINGO it worked... I still do not have my wifi turned on and I'm still receiving texts from YESTERDAY too while I was away from wifi service. IF you come across this issue - please call Straight Talk and/or log on to your Straight Talk online account and talk to an online customer service representative and get their direct line phone number for iPhone support and have your Reference PIN number available. There used to be a 'buy all' button on the wish list screen but for some reason that has been removed from the current version of iTunes so you will need to buy each item individually. You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe it'll be added back in a future update : http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

Do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to clear the "Browsing History".

InDesign CC will only let me place images from one directory

I am a print designer and recently switched from a PC to a MacBook Pro. I'm using InDesign CC and it will only let me place images from one directory. If I try and choose another directory, the Finder window just disappears.

Are you on Mac 10.9? There is an issue on mac 10.9 w.r.t finder window when try to open/pace file in "cover flow view" mode. The finder window dissapears then.
Workaround: Choose Icon View, List View, or Column View

Upgraded to Lion, CS3 programs will only let me open 1 photo per session, what gives?

Just upgraded to Lion from Snow Leopard. Now my CS3 Creative Suite programs will only let me open one picture per session. I then have to completely close out of photoshop or illustrator or whatever and reopen to open another picture. Any suggestions before I have to take my computer to the apple store.

I'm not sure the Apple Store will troubleshoot 3rd party software that is 3 versions old.

I have a Nomad MuVo2 4.0 gig and I can put music on it but it will only let me use 224 mb. I updated the firmware, drivers, and I reformatted it more than once. I've also tried using different programs to load music but none can put on more than like 50 because of the memory issue.... Please help, i dont want to have to buy another one. -matt

Other MuVo players have a problem if too many files are placed in the root folder of the device. I'm not sure if this applies to your MuVo2 as it has a HDD but if you do access it using folders (does it appear as a dri've letter in Windows Explorer?) then the solution is to create sub-folders beneath the root folder and put your files there. You don't have to go as far as creating separate folders for each album - a single Music folder with everything else inside it will work.
Apologies if I have got it wrong about the way the MuVo2 works.

A couple of thoughts. It appears there may be two issues--one is saving a PDF that Safari has loaded in the browser window, while the second (which is the one John was talking about) is saving a standard HTML page as a PDF document.
For the PDF loaded in Safari: Is it possible you might have loaded up a third party PDF ready (like Adobe Acrobat Reader) that might have installed itself to handle PDFs in Safari? I've not checked, but wonder if that might disable the "normal" Safari options that would be available with Preview.
If the PDF is displayed, you should get a black box at the bottom of the window if you place the mouse cursor there while Safari has focus. While not perfect, if you select the far right icon it will save the PDF to your Downloads folder. If you select the second from the right, it will load the PDF into a stand-alone instance of your standard PDF reader and from there you would be able to save the file anywhere you want using a Save As command in the reader.
For HTML to PDF--that is controlled with the Print command, using the option at the lower left of the print dialog to print to PDF (which is the menu John showed you). That works for all files *except* PDFs (since printing a password protected PDF to a new PDF would effectively strip the password and would also strip out other features of the PDF, you aren't allowed to print PDFs to PDF).

Yes, but if you delete the iCloud account and start again, don't you have to wait 90 days for everything to start syncing?? I've been having this problem for months and no one seems to be able to figure it out. I used to have one Apple ID (which was not an email address) and then when iOS came along....and iCloud, they force you to use your email address as ID ....which actually sets up a SECOND Apple ID. I have a Mac, iPad, iPod touch and iPhone. the Apple techs tried to delete the iCloud accounts so that they all said the same thing (email address ID) but then I had to wait 90 days. the 90 days just passed and nothing is automatically syncing yet. I still think there are 2 accounts but if I delete all again.....it's going to be another 90 days (for security reasons, I was told). This is a real pain in the butt.

Also Mountain Lion doesn't run any Power PC programs. To see if you have any Power PC programs go to the Apple in the upper left corner and select About This Mac, then click on More Info. When System Profiler comes up select Applications under Software. Then look under Kind to see if any of your applications are listed as Power PC. Universal and Intel will run under Mountain Lion.

I would say yes. I once had the same problem (iPhone 5, IOS 7) and first restored to factory settings and after that from iCloud backup.
It worked very well.
