Welcome to BlackBerry Support Forums
Can you explain your issue briefly ? Are you unable to type those or when you type those don't appear on your device . For Example On our BlackBerry keyboard if we have to type singh1987 then we have to type it like this :
s > i > n > g > h > Alt > 1 > alt > 9 > alt > 8 > alt > 7
Then on on device we will get singh1987
Can you try this and see if you are able to enter .

  • Why is my numeric keyboard not working on windows 7 via boot camp?

    What ever I use the numeric keypad on the Apple Wired Keyboard on Windows 7 boot camp. It does not work. I have to use the number on the above of my letter case part. I tried using the numeric keys on calculator or games. It functions more like fn, home, page down, page up. WTH? Why is it functioning like the keys between the numeric keypad and keyboard? The drivers installed just fine and I got all the windows updates along with apple updates. I even went to keyboard options in boot camp control panel and it still does not work.

    Here is your answer - just found it on MacRumors as I was experiencing the same problem. Ready - got a pen and pencil available: Hit "Clear" lol, yup, that is your on off button for the numeric pad. :-) Be sure to share with others.
    The "Clear" Button is located above the number  7. 65431354684318643516879 <---- numerica keypad fun.

  • Numeric pad not working correctly mainly in Microsoft Word

    I have an Apple keyboard with an integrated numeric pad integrated on the right.
    Since a while I have a problem that some of the keys on the numeric pad do not work anymore. The + does not work at all and the * toggles show/hide ¶.
    It is not in all programmes, Microsoft Word has the problem but Filemaker Pro does not.
    I tried an other KB same result.
    Any ideas how to fix this?

    Hi Ray
    If you look n my original post you will see I covered that.
    +I tried an other KB same result.+
    So answer is yes.

  • Numeric keypad not working

    The numeric keypad no longer functions with my Apple keyboard when trying to input numbers with Excel or AppleWorks. It has functioned in the past. The screen just freezes. Not sure what might have caused the change. Trying a different known working keyboard with keypad does not work either.
    Would doing a SMU reset help?
    Any suggestions?
    Disk Utilities corrected permissions but the problem persists.

    Thanks for the hint, I found the following:

    My numeric keypad doesn't work
    The way the numeric keypad works depends on your computer, the keyboard you're using, the application you're working in, and whether the Num Lock key is engaged. Usually, the numeric keypad is used to enter numbers in a document, but in some applications you might be able to use the keypad to navigate (move around in) your document.
    Press the Num Lock key to switch between the ways the numeric keypad functions.

  • Hp pavilion dv7 notebook numeric keypad not working

    The numeric keypad on my hp pavilion dv7 notebook does not work.  I can't get the num lock to work or any of the number keys to respond.

    Hi,
    While this could be a hardware issue, it's always worth trying the following.
    Open windows Control Panel, open Device Manager, expand Keyboards, right click the entry 'Standard PS/2 Keyboard' and select Uninstall.
    Shutdown the notebook.
    Then unplug the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.  Hold down the Power button for 30 seconds.  Re-insert the battery and plug in the AC Adapter.
    Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to launch the Start-up Menu and then select f10 to enter the bios menu.  Press f5 to load the defaults ( this is sometimes f9, but the menu at the bottom will show the correct key ), use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.  Press f10 to save the setting and again use the arrow keys to select 'Yes' and hit enter.
    Note:  If the keyboard doesn't work when trying to access or navigate the Bios Menu, then this is probably a hardware fault.

  • 2011 MBP with Win7 on BC and numerous drivers not working

    I'm working on a tech project and have run into a problem that i can't fix. <grr> I followed the Apple directions for installing a second OS on Boot Camp and found some good tips from other online walk throughs, but am still having a problem with a number of the drivers.
    I have a 2011 MacBook Pro 13" with the most up to date version of Snow Leopard. I have installed Boot Camp and Windows 7 Pro on a 50 Gb partition. I have installed Windows 7 and activated it. Once Win7 was up and running I updated the Boot Camp drivers with 3.2.0, the latest version that I know about. Initially I had no recognition of either the wired or wireless controllers even after the Boot Camp 3.2. I was able to determine that I had a Broadcom wired ethernet card and found the driver and installed it via USB so that I could use Win7 to access the internet.
    The drivers that, as found from the Device Manager, are not working are as follows:
    Network Controller - Wireless
    PCI Simple Communication Controller
    SM Bus Controller
    High Definition Audio
    Apple Keyboard -> Bluetooth USB Host Controller (though the USB ports are active and operational)
    Facetime HD Camera (1 of 2 not working)
    I have been able to use the wired internet to download and install all of the available Win7 updates, but nothing can be found on the above drivers. I even manually installed the drivers for each of these components from the Snow Leopard disk for Boot Camp and they would not install.
    From all the information that I can find on the Win7 Boot Camp install, nothing more recent than early 2010, everyone seems to have everything just install and work. I have not seen anything from anyone about the wireless and wired network cards not working or any of the other issues that I'm having. The majority of the issues were with the optical audio LED staying on or some other more trivial issue.
    Anything you can suggest would be great so that I can use the internet in Win7. The rest of the drivers are second to getting on wireless.
    Thanks in advance for your help. If you have any more detailed questions please let me know and I'll get answers back.

    I have a 15" MacBook Pro, built July 2011. It came automatically with Lion. No OS X disc provided in box with Lion, due to it being a download only OS.
    I followed the boot camp process to partition the hard drive and format the appropriate partition, to then install Windows 7 Pro Upgrade (clean install - works fine). Just like the original post, the following drivers that will not install properly include:
    - trackpad
    - keyboard
    Even when trying to re-install the drivers again manually off the boot camp disc, a window pops up to stating that the drivers may not have installed properly and gives you the options to either re-install the drivers 'using the compatability settings', or 'no the drivers installed ok'.
    It's almost like it thinks Windows 7 is an old program....weird.
    The keyboard and trackpad is missing from the Boot Camp control panel, so I can't change the settings for the keyboard and trackpad, to get them functioning the way they're meant to - like it does in Mac OS X.
    I thought that this page would help: http://www.reviewmylife.co.uk/blog/2010/06/08/windows-7-on-macbook-pro/ but no it didn't. The boot camp control panel screen dumps shown in this link, looks nothing like mine, due to the fact that the drivers refuse to install properly.
    I have spent hours trawling many mac and windows forums with not luck.
    Anyone with a MBP running Lion OS and Windows 7 Pro have these issues?
    Does anyone have a solution?

  • Numerical keyboard not working yosemite

    Hey All,
         I bought my iMac last year, and I also bought an Apple numerical keyboard at the same time. I was not happy with the one the computer came with. When I updated to Yosemite, my Numerical keyboard no longer works unless I plug it into my 2010 Toshiba laptop.
         This is a Problem.
         Does anyone know how to fix this permanently?
         Thanks,
         Jennifer

    Please read this whole message before doing anything.
    This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
    Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
    While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
    Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
    After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
    *Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
    The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
    Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
    Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem.
    Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
    Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
    The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
    Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
    After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Numeric Keypad not working with Forms6i and Netscape4.7 with Linux ??

    Hello everybody.
    trying to make things work, just found that can't make work numeric keypad while using Netscape 4.7 with forms in Linux.
    Does someone can help me??
    Thanks in advance..
    Oxiel

    That's bizarre. I don't think there are any OS X settings that will solve your problem. I would first check to make sure the "Num Lock" key on your keyboard is not set to disable your number pad. Then have a look at the Logitech support website. It's possible you need to download a driver or a patch of some sort. Or your problem might be covered in a FAQ or a knowledge base article there.

  • Compaq cq60-418dx Numerical keypad not working

    Ok I a friend gave me their laptop after they dropped it and broke the screen. I removed the screen and hooked it up to my LCD monitor and everything was going fine until I upgraded from Vista to WIndows 7 (legitimate version). Now my numerical keypad don't work. Which isn't that big of a deal since the numbers are elsewhere on the keyboard but I want the volume keys and I play online game where I input numbers a lot and would love to have it working again. Any help would be appreciative.
    PS, If you know how to turn the touchpad off that would be awesome. I have a USB mouse that I am using and am very tired of my thumb hitting the touchpad while hitting spacebar and stopping my typing.

    Have you installed the Win 7 Keyboard drivers, HP Quick Launch? If you did an Upgrade install of 7 you probably still have older version installed. Uninstall it first.

    There is a little button to turn the touchpad off, right beside the  light at top of touchpad. It is shown in the manual for 'Pointing devices & keyboard here:

  • Numeric keypad not working, mouse in weird state

    I've got a user with a mac mini, and this morning it started behaving really strangely. The numbers on the keypad don't work -- although the + - * / = 'enter' keys work. And they don't work as arrow keys or page up page down keys either.
    Also, when launching excel, the cursor turns into a plus sign, and then when you select a field it highlights, but no key works to create input -- on the regular side or the keypad side of the keypad. And the mouse no longer works to click out of excel, quit the program, click on another window or click on a menu option or the apple menu. We have to use force quit from the keyboard (THAT still works) to get out of excel, and then we go back to the state where the keypad keys don't work but the rest of the keys do.
    Started with a magic mouse, plugged in a regular mouse. Started with a non-apple keyboard, plugged in an apple keyboard. Started with the keyboard and mouse going through a usb hub, and now they are plugged into the back of the mini. So I'm pretty sure it's a software setting! I can't find anything on the System Preferences keyboard or mouse settings that looks remotely like a candidate for producing this behavior.
    Oh, and yes, did zap the PRAM.

    Try +System Preferences > Universal Access > Mouse.+
    If the +Mouse Keys ON+ radio button is on, turn it off.
    That allows you to use the numeric pad instead of a mouse to move the cursor.

  • Numeric Fields not working the way I expected

    I have tried both pieces of code in the click event, but nothing happens with the WearRing_CaseClearance (numeric field) Field.
    var ringDiameter = topmostSubform.Page2.Span[7].WearRing_Case_Diameter.rawValue;
    WearRing_CaseClearance.rawValue = ringDiameter;
    var ringDiameter = topmostSubform.Page2.Span[7].WearRing_Case_Diameter.rawValue - topmostSubform.Page2.Span[8].WearRing_ImpellerHub_Diameter.rawValue;
    if (ringDiameter < PM_CaseClearanceMIN.rawValue || ringDiameter > PM_CaseClearanceMAX.rawValue)
    //WearRing_CaseClearance.rawValue = ringDiameter;
    ///WearRing_CaseClearance.fillColor = '255, 0, 0';
    else
    //WearRing_CaseClearance.rawValue = ringDiameter;
    //WearRing_CaseClearance.fillColor = '255, 255, 255';

    I found an odd but working solution.
    It seems when I converted the Word Document to a PDF, it made each section in my form a span block. Adobe seems to treat span blocks as subforms. So when I right-click (in the hierarchy tab), the span tags, an option of "unwrap subform" is available. Unwrapping all the subforms/spans allowed my fields to see each other regardless of which span block they were in.
    Hope this helps anyone else.

  • Presario numeric keypad not working

    I've had a Presario CQ61-422 for about 18 months but never bothered with the numeric keypad before. Recently my daughter came round and borrowed the machine and she is used to entering numbers via the pad. Pressing the NumLock key gives a high pitch beep and turns the indicator light on but has no effect on the keypad - each one still acts in the navigation mode. Pressing NumLock again switches light off with low pitch beep but no difference to key functions.
    I've updated the BIOS from F.20 (when purchased) to F.23 to no effect. I'm satisfied there is no physical malfunction to the keys but can't understand why they won't toggle between navigation and numeric entry. I've not played with any other system settings since purchase just used it out of the box as setup by HP. Anyone had a similar experience?

    At last fixed the problem. I found out that Mouse Keys had been set on allowing direction arrow keys to move mouse pointer. Switched this feature off and Num Lock keys all now do what they should.
