Numerous glitches with A2DP and AVRCP Bluetooth

I am seeing numerous glitches with the new BT profiles. I have two stereo headsets that support these profiles. Both show serious problem. Most are occasional. The 3G is supposed to support these profiles.
- Constant: the skip forward and back controls do not work at all, ever.
- Pause/Play did not work at first, at all, on either device. Now it seems to work.
- I get audio problems. After connecting one headset, then switching to another, I got no audio at all, although Pause/play worked!
- Another audio problem was that when the Sony BT100CX was connected, it would work fine when the screen was active, but when the screen went dark, the audio would get chopped up. In this chopped up mode, I seemed to be getting about every other quarter second of audio. This problem would go on and off as I switched the screen on and off with the top button.
Are other people seeing the problems? Is Apple aware of them (other than my calls)?

The headphone controls are not designed to work with the 3.0 update, however the controls on the screen I haven't experienced a problem with yet. I have noticed that if you have Wifi connected and bluetooth active at the same time you will get a distorted signal sound on the headphones and wifi will be weak. Also note that even with your headphones off and bluetooth in discovery mode if you switch from that to Airplane mode and try to switch back I have not been able to get a signal neither from 3g, edge or wifi, it just says searching and never finds anyting. I let it search until the battery went dead. I turned bluetooth off and switched to airplane mode and back again with no problem. If you turn wifi off and just use 3g you should be fine with using the headphones as far as sound quality and no cut offs when screen goes off.

I just updated my iphone 4 from iOS 4.3.5 to iOS5.0.
I' m using it a lot to stream audio from the iDevice to my car radio through Bluetooth using Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP profiles.
For info, my car is a Renault Scénic with build in Bluetooth radio.
This was working perfectly with iOS 4 (up to iOS4.3.5):
- Audio streaming was going smoothly
- Audio automatic suspend/resume when some alarm from the embedded navigation TomTom based system suspended the audio streaming
- AVRCP commands for "next track" and "previous track"
Since I switched to iOS5.0 in the exact same material configuration:
- Audio streaming is still going smoothly
- But audio automatic suspend/resume when some alarm from the embedded navigation TomTom based system suspended the audio streaming is now pretty bad: it takes several second for the audio stream to resume when suspended
- AVRCP commands for previous track" is not working anymore
Hope the iOS dev team reads this an correct the stack ASAP.

I think now the limitation of the ID3Tag display on the car radio is not coming from Apple but from the devices which is connected to.
Bluetooth standard is defining several profiles:

1 - Audio streaming is performed using Bluetooth A2DP profile: stands for Advance Audio Distribution Profile.
This one is the one to really stream the sound. To me, there was an issue on this profile with iOS5.0 and iOS5.0.1, but solved with iOS5.1 on the fact that some delay was present when resuming some song stream, etc.
2 - iDevice control from car radio is based on Bluetooth AVRCP profile: stands for Audio/Video Remote Control Profil.
This is the one also used to transfer ID3 Tags since release 1.3 of this profile.
To me, there was an issue on this profile with iOS5.0 and iOS5.0.1, but solved with iOS5.1 on the fact that rewind, and audio file control was not working correctly.
But now the fact that ID3 Tags are not available on some car radios is due to some limitations on the car radio side, as they may not support AVRCP1.3, but only AVRCP1.x (lower than 1.3).

Forum Glitch with copy and paste

So I've discovered a glitch with the forums that I'm not sure if anyone else is experiencing...
If you copy anything from the posting window while creating a new discussion or if you paste anything into this window, it causes a message to be displayed saying "are you sure you want to navigate away from this page? Your content will not be saved." when you press the Post Message button.
I have a habit of hitting select all and copy when I'm making posts just incase anything goes wrong. If I do that on these forums, I cannot post and loose all of my info.
If I try to paste in a link from the clipboard, the same thing happens.
I thought this is something quite serious that I should bring to everyone's attention.
This happens in both IE 8 and Firefox 3.5.7

TP Yoga numerous issues with screen and digitizer

Summary:
I bought a 20CD0001IV about two months ago (Demopool). I need it for work and drawing, but so far I have numerous issues. And right now I'm kinda lost: What should I do? Send a support question to lenovo/IBM EC? Contact my retailer? Are these common problems? I'm also not sure about my warranty. The Lenovo Solution Center says, I still have warranty. The different parts of the website say different things. I'll assume worst case: My warranty is likely expired.
I tried:
Fresh Installation Windows 8.1, newest drivers, newest Wacom drivers. Tried different settings. Calibration, Pressure Curves, all the stuff. Have 3 different Pens. Searched google, searches this forum...
Problems:
Massive Ghosting, I know, there is a solution on the forum. It says to replace the old screen with a newer model, but is this possible if the warranty is expired?
Calibration is a mess! The digitizer point wobbles under the pen, this is most obvious near the screen border, where straight lines turn into curves. But it's also an issue in the middle of the screen. In some places the cursor is 2mm top left of the actual pen tip, in other places it's bottom right UNDER the pen. I tried all kinds of calibration already... I know about a "dead spot" issue, but this was fixed with a firmware update and my issue is all over the place, not just one spot.
The screen is not very solid. Even medium pressure with the pen leads to dark and light display glitches near the tip.
Pen pressure "clipping". The 100%-Pressure is reached waaaay too quickly when I actually press with medium force. This leads to a very screwed pressure curve, where drawing lighlty or drawing medium is a lot harder, because there is not much scope. Basically, I draw with 100% Pressure 90% of the time. 100% should only be reached when I press intentionally hard.... I tried this with different pens, it's not an issue of the pen. (This is also not the first wacom device I use, so I can compare... I'm not just heavy handed...). The wacom settings themselves are not of real use, they only influence to curve from 0 to 100, but can't move the 100%-Point itself (maybe someone has a better understanding of the wacom settings and knows how to do it)

To be honest, this is terrible quality for a lot of money. I could live with one or two issues, but this is almost unusable. I wonder if those are common problems and all Yogas have a screen like this. I had a Samsung Slate before and the screen was like solid glass and did not dent at all and I never had so many problems at once.
I don't expect solutions for those problems. But I hope that someone can point me into the right direction like "Yeah, this is a known hardware thing, read this...". If someone knows a good tool to troubleshoot/analyse Wacom Input let me know (I only tried the Pressure Curve Tool).
Is there any hope at all if my warranty is really expired?

I did some more testing with the maximum pressure issue. And it might be related to the pressure level of pens. As far as I know the Yoga supports 1024 levels. I have a new Wacom PL-900 and it has only 512, and the pressure problem is strongest. It is the same with the original Yoga pen, I'd say - even though this should have 1024 levels? But with an old Samsung Series 7 pen I need to press harder to reach 100% pressure - although it is still not really "hard". I'm not entirely sure how many pressure levels the Samsung Slate pen has, thought it was 510, but have seen some reviews mentioning 1024...

Iphone 3G support for A2DP and AVRCP

Hi guys, I recently got a Jabra bt3030 bluetooth stereo dongle to listen to my music wirelessly from my Iphone 3G. Only wish it was as simple as I hoped it would be. After pairing the two via bluetooth and playing a song, I realised that the next/previous buttons on my bluetooth unit do not work. Nor does the volume control on the iphone itself! As a result, the playback signal is at full blast-causing buzzing in my earphones continously throughout the song. Are there any apps out there that fix this 'volume bar' issue? If not, I do hope that Apple will fix this problem with their next update-3.2. I'm quite disappointed as I have tried playing music on other bluetooth devices, and the music is flawless! If they do fix this, iphone will be, in my opinion, perfect...

I tried pairing the jabra unit on a Blackberry Bold and there was no distortion or buzzing. I also tried using my Sennheiser headphones with the Jabra unit instead of the stock headphones provided but that didnt change anything. Nope, no boosting of the volume when I imported the music into itunes. The Jabra BT3030's track record is excellent.
I have tested the Iphone and bluetooth unit everywhere. Brought it for several walks in parks and even placed the unit on top of the iphone with the phone face down (hoping to get it the closest i can to the Bluetooth radio chip and there was still the buzzing present.
I guess I have to wait for either an app that solves this issue or a permanent fix from Apple. I'm hoping to my wits end for the latter.

Strange glitch with keynote and iPad

I have been using Keynote files created on my Mac and transferred to my iPad3 to go over problem sets in my physics classes. I tecently ran into an odd glitch. Sometimes, an arrow pointing upward on the original slide, shows reversed on the iPad, and vice-versa. I don't see a clear pattern yet of when it happens. Has anyone seen it and have an idea of what is going on?

Actually, all of my builds (scale, scale up, wipe in a bunch of diections, appear) work fine. This phenomenon happens on some vertical arrows in the absence of any builds. It really is odd. As I'm importing the file, it shows a preview with the correct orientaion, but as I watch, it flips just before the import is complete!
It's not very hard to fix in Keynotte, on the iPad, just irritating.

Glitch with Firefox and Adobe Reader.

I wasn't sure whether to post this in the Adobe Reader forum or the Mozilla Firefox forum, but decided to post here.
I am running the latest versions of Adobe Reader X and Firefox on Windows Vista.
Open Firefox. Open a new tab. Then open an Adobe Acrobat document within the new tab. Now it won't let you highlight text in the urlbar with the mouse for copy/paste. You have to click the "Go back" arrow, or go into another site, and then return to the adobe document in order to copy/paste. I tried the same thing with Internet Explorer and Chrome, and the glitch didn't seem to happen in those. It seems to be only an issue with Firefox.

I am using the latest version, 3.6.15.
Admittedly it's a minor glitch. I discovered it when I was trying to copy the url for some show's TV listings that were in pdf format in order to help someone on another forum, and I couldn't get it to highlight the text.

Artefacts/Glitches with Gnome3 and Intel X3150

Hello everyone,
I've been using Gnome3 on my Asus 1215N for a while but I've noticed Artefacts/Glitches when using some functionalities of Gnome Shell like "Activities" or the integrated Chat with Empathy.
Is this a driver problem or is there any type of workaround to solve the problem ?
PS : I have a similar bug with Libreoffice there is some pictures of the problems (While the graphical problem only appears when moving the mouse with Activites, in Libreoffice the problem appears when libreoffice is open...)

I'm not really sure if it's the same bug (how can I be sure of it ?). but from the description it looks a little different from my problem, since (as far as I've been able to test) my problem is restricted to gnome and KDE, and doesn't look like a XORG issue by itself as my arch installation which I'm running right now using XFCE DE has no issues so far with video driver and KMS fully configured.

Problems with IOS7 and my Bluetooth

Every since I installed IOS7 on my iPhone 5 all 3 of my Plantronics Bluetooths (so I know it's not the Bluetooths) get a lot of static and the go off the air. Just voila, I'm disconnected.
I've re-booted, uninstalled and re-installed the bluetooths.
Open to suggestions, provided they are not illegal and I will consider immoral.

Glitch with Tempo and Pitch Setting

I set up a couple of tracks to follow tempo and pitch. When I close a file and then reopen it, the box to do this is still highlighted but the tracks have been resized, causing them to overlap and have their ends cut off. Is there a way I can stop this from happening?

Does it happen with only one project or all projects?
If it happens with all projects, I'd try to delete the Preferences, that usually helps, if settings don't stick:

A2DP API for bluetooth?

I want to send a sound to a a BT module. This module is like a headset.
I searched everywhere for a BT example for WP8 but I can't find any help.
I have this code:

Why "1"? In the sample, RFCOMM is selected. If I want A2DP, what should I write?
Another question is: is there an API for A2DP? The protocol is really hard to understand. And I don't know where to begin if I have to write all without any library... All with socket.OutputStream()?

May start my own thread, but I'm having similar issues.
I've been using an old iMac (running 10.7.5) and Apple TV for years with no issues. Last week I bought a new Macbook Pro running Yosemite and have had audio issues multiple times. The weird thing is that sometimes it works flawlessly, other times (like now) I spend half an hour just trying to get a song to play.
My issues are: When I got to "computers" in Apple TV to stream my music, my music is sometimes chopper or intermittent, and I seen to know when it's going to happen based on the status wheel just before it plays. When I choose a song, the status wheel will spin for an unusually long time, usually an indicator that the audio is either not going to work, or stutter.
When it does finally pull up a song, the playhead sits at the beginning of the song for a good 3-5 seconds before actually playing. Then, when it starts playing, it's all downhill. It will play a few seconds, drop out, play a few more seconds, drop out, and then ultimately the playhead will keep moving across the song as if it's playing, but there's no audio.
Again, this is a new phenomenon never experienced by me. I've tried everything I could think of, some of them all at once:
• restart Apple TV
• restart Macbook Pro
• quite iTunes/open
• turn off Home Sharing on iTunes then reconnect it
• unplugging and cycling both my modem and router
None of these have alleviated the problem.
The odd thing is, like this morning, the audio started up perfectly and never gave me any issues. It wasn't until later in the day that it started. Perhaps after the macbook pro had been put to sleep? Not sure.
Regardless, this is an annoying trait, one that's new to me and my system (as stated, worked flawlessly until my new purchase), and is 100% limited to either a) the macbook pro b) Yosemite or c) both of them.

My Z10 is set to link with the Bluetooth in my car when it starts so that I'm not distracted when a call comes in. My Satellite radio plays when the car starts. It appears that the phone may be trying to stream the radio (which I wouldn't want it to do)?
First I get a box that says:

When I select OK to clear that message, it takes me to the Music Player Screen, which says:

Not a Glitch.
Turn off Media streaming, I tried it and it works.
Network and Connections - Bluetooth - touch and hold 'Car radio' - side panel appears - touch 4 bars at top - Audio streaming - Off.

I just bought an iPhone 3G yesterday. The activation process went very quickly.
So far the only problem is with Bluetooth. I have tried to pair my phone with a BT headset and the audio system in my car ( 2006 Infiniti M35). The phone recognizes the devices by name but will not pair with them. I've used these devices with two other Motorola phones and they worked perfectly.
From what I'm reading here the blame seems to be in the firmware.
Here's hoping they fix it quickly.
