Nut loose behind keyboard.

Using LR3, I have been reviewing some photos and using the magnification tool, and somehow in the metadata section, this is reducing the size of my image. Any thoughts on a fix?

I'm still not clear on what you're seeing.
What do you see in the two marked fields in the Metadata panel?

IiPad reply screen disappears behind keyboard. This happens on a long message in email and I need to type "blind" if the message is even medium long. How do I get the typed area to scroll up as it did before the latest IOS update?

I,m having and identical problem. In fact when I went to type this my split keyboard is dead center on the page.
When I hold down the button on the bottom right corner when I'm in split mode I get the option to Dock and Merge or just to Merge. There is no option where the keyboard stays split once it's been docked and merged.
Help! I have small hands and it's so much easier to type in split screen.
    Thanks.

  • Objects behind keyboard

I been having Pproblems while in the text screen if a notification or the undo typing box appears its shows behind the keyboard to where I can neither allow nor cancel the action. I been having to press the lock button then unlocking the screen and reaccessing the message to continue because the key board will not function can this be fixed?

I think you're approach is a little bassackwards.  You cannot use Flash as a background element.  Moreover, Flash content always rises to the top.
The image you posted looks more like a Flash Player Skin than a suitable web page background. A common mistake among new web designers is trying to "fit" content precisely over a large, background image or photograph. This seldom works as planned because building for the web is nothing like designing for print. Owing to different browsers, user settings, text and display sizes which you cannot control, the web is an inherently flexible medium. No matter how hard you try, you cannot precisely position content over a big image and expect it to stick.
You would need to slice the image in Photoshop or Fireworks first then reassemble the pieces in your CSS or html table cells.  To give you an idea of what I mean, have a look at this basic tutorial.

  • Since 10.6 install typing lags far behind keyboard

Whenever I type now, after just a few words the keystrokes showing up on the screen are wayyyy behind what I'm typing on they keyboard. Any ideas?
Same problem with all blue tooth keyboards (used three different ones to test), and happens in all programs.
Nice update. Every time I use my imac something newwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww is wrong. Plus, did you see all those wwwwwwww's? That's because if I don't turn key repeat OFF, it just does it randomly.

So no one has any idea why I can't use ANY bluetooth keyboard in OS X 10.6?
I am now using a wired keyboard because not a single bluetooth keyboard works with 10.6. None. Not one.

  • "Choose input method" is behind keyboard so I can't use it

I just upgraded to Kit Kat on my Galaxy S4, and I can no longer pick my preferred keyboard because the "choose input method" dialog does not close the keyboard when it opens like it used to, and so half of the dialog is hidden behind the keyboard.  Normally I would hit the back button to close the keyboard, except this closes the input selector dialog instead.  How do I change my active keyboard?

OK, I can change the default keyboard from the settings panel, but that means I have to go into settings every time I need to change it (and I often switch back and forth between a few of them depending on what app I'm using because some keyboards are better suited for different tasks).  So the question then becomes is Verizon aware of this problem and how do I make sure they are so it gets fixed in the next update? (and how long before that update?)

  • Format menu behind keyboard

    Hello there,
There's this tiny bug in Pages that has been annoying me and I wonder if anyone else has it.
What occurs is that the "formatting menu" appears hidden behind the keyboard when I open it and I'm using the iPad in landscape mode.
Let's say I wan't to change the "Paragraph Style" in my document. So I press on the "brush" icon, and the format menu appears. However it extends to under the keyboard, so I can't access the paragraph styles, as they are hidden by the keyboard.
A workaround I figured is to split the keyboard and then "dock and merge" it again. As a result the format menu will fit to the screen, no longer elongating itself to under the keyboard, allowing me to properly scroll down to get to the bottom.
And by the way, the "split" function is excessively glitchy in all iWork apps, many times causing me to the splitting gesture more than once in order for it to work.

    Hi Edupacar,
For future reference, this happens when the keyboard is moved up from the bottom of the screen.
Almost hidden on the Enter key is a little move handle.  With that you can move the keyboard up and down to see what is behind it.  If the keyboard is not docked at the bottom of the screen, the function list can be obscured.
Use the handle to move the keyboard back down to the bottom and the function list will be above it.

  • Loss of keyboard

    Hi!
I have been experiencing something quite annoying on my MBP. I sometimes loose the keyboard. I have to put the machine back to sleep and wake it back up to get the keyboard back (pressing the CAPS-LOCK key does not even raise the green led when the keyboard is "gone"). I usually keep the keyboard for a few minutes, then it goes again. I ended up rebooting (something I am not used to do... I only reboot for mandatory updates that require this.... this rebooting business is something I left a long time ago behind me when I gave up on windows....).
So... Has anybody seen this behavior ? What can I do to mitigate?
    BTW,
    1) this never happened on Tiger (same machine).
    2) my wife has experienced this once on her macbook (leopard updated too).
    Any pointer is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks.
    Laurent

I posted this same response to a different topic, and one other user responded that they also had success by reinstalling Quicktime 7.3:
I've been having a similar problem for the past couple days with my MacBook Pro. My keyboard would intermittently freeze up. I'd keep hitting keys until it started responding again and then I'd continue what I was doing. I also noticed that my computer no longer asked for a password when waking up from sleep.
Last night, I remembered that I had installed the iTunes 7.5 and QuickTime 7.3 updates about the same time I started having this problem. I downloaded QuickTime 7.3 from http://www.apple.com/quicktime/download/ , and since I reinstalled QuickTime, I haven't had any problems with my keyboard.
    Hope this helps,
    Ken

  • Thunderbolt display-connected keyboard fails to wake MacBook Pro

I'm having intermittent problems with my keyboard when I use my rMacBook Pro in clamshell mode attached to an Apple Thunderbolt Display. With increasing frequency, when I sleep the Mac, close it and attach it to the display, I cannot wake up the computer using the Apple keyboard that is attached (USB) to the display. Unplugging and repluggin the keyboard does nothing.
I can wake up the computer with a Bluetooth keyboard & login (screensaver), and the Bluetooth keyboard continues to work fine. Nut the wired keyboard never works.
However, if I simply restart the Mac, the display-connected keyboard always begins working again.
I belive this rules out a hardware problem, but I'm open to suggestions. (It's happened repeatedly—maybe ten times over the last several months. But with increasing frequency.)
I can post console logs if that would help.
    Any ideas?

    Clinton,
Thanks for your interest in my question. I actually own a 27" Apple Thunderbolt Display, which works with other Retina Display Macbook Pro, but not mine anymore... That's why I suppose the problem comes from my laptop's thunderbolt ports.
    Any clue?
    Thanks very much in advance.
    Dominic

Before i just reboot my MPM. But if i will push all buttons, swich my desktops go here.
After a while everything starts to work again.
I have this problem about 3-6 times a day.
    How i can fix it?
And how i can have my MBP open and one active external screen?
    Thank u

The "wireless mouse/keyboard firmware update 1.1" is for the old white plastic wireless mice and keyboards , Sean. Is the one you are trying to use one of these, or is it one of the aluminium ones?
If it is the aluminium one, then the update you might need is Aluminum Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0 - http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/aluminumkeyboardfirmwareupdate10.html
None of the updates should be needed to prevent the sort of problem you report though.
Is this keyboard newly purchased, or one that you have had for a while and that ahs worked in the past? It may simply be defective.
The only other thing I can think of, apart from conflict with a third party keyboard driver or the like, is a corrupted system file of some kind, in which case an "archive and install" of the OS might be needed to fix it I'm afraid.
    Cheers

  • Miix 2 11,6 new keyboard

hey, managed to loose my keyboard for miix 2 on the bus....
is there any possibility to buy a new one?

Hi aid-Lenovo and welcome to the community,
If it is indeed a Windows login problem, your only recourse is to do a factory reset.
Page 23 of your User Manual shows how this is done.

  • Imac keyboard

I've had my imac for almost two weeks now and was wondering if anyone had any info on alternate keyboards that would accommodate the computer? I've been a laptop user for the last five years and would like something bigger.
Also, this is my first Mac i've ever dealt with and so far i'm pretty impressed. However, the one thing that's driving me nuts, are the keyboard combinations. I don't have a clue. Are there any web sites out there that would help me with this?
    A1207   Mac OS X (10.4.9)

I just got my 24" iMac yesterday.
I am happily using a Microsoft Naturual Keyboard 4000... It even came with a CD that had both PC & Mac software!
The key is to get a keyboard that has a USB connector.

  • Two different keyboard layout issues

I have two computers, each with a separate issue that's been driving me nuts:
    1. My G5 PowerMac (running 10.4) is set to use the Dvorak layout. That's it. It's the only one selected in the input menu list. Not even the standard US layout is selected. However, what kills me is that if I have to start up the computer holding down keys (like booting to a CD, resetting the Pram or PMU, etc.), or when I logout as one user and have to enter a password to log in again (yes, I know fast user switching bypasses this, but I still have to do it this way on occasion), the computer defaults to the US Qwerty keyboard layout. Is there a way to shut that off completely? It's driving me nuts because my keyboard doesn't show me the Qwerty layout and I have to rack my brain trying to remember where the letters are.
    2. On my G4 PowerMac (running 10.4) I have to toggle between Dvorak and Qwerty (my wife uses one, I use the other, and I don't want to set us up on different accounts). The problem is, the system toggles it back and forth all the time without warning--going to form fields, switching between apps, etc. There was a time (back with Panther for one of the updates), when a layout would stick the whole time until I switched it to the other, but it hasn't done it for a while. Is this a bug, or is there a workaround?
    Thanks.

Here is a solution to problem 1, i had this problem a couple of months ago and eventually managed to figure it out.
    1. Go to: System preferences->accounts->login options
    2. Turn on: Show input menu in login window
u can now use whatever language for login
if u want it as default
    1. log out
    2. change language
    3. sign in
    4. Turn off the thing u just turned on
    it is now the default
it seems to be another setting entirly
As for the second issue i am currently having that issue and as yet have not found a solution.
let me know if u figure something out for it
