Nvidia 56.6 driver

anyone can tell me about this driver plz, why i can't do settings for directx or opengl anymore, or memory allocation, mipmap.....as the old version 53.03 and before.
any informations plz.

MSI drivers are Nvidia drivers...basically, if you have an MSI card then you want to get MSI Nvidia drivers, otherwise the normal forceware on the nvidia site will work fine...theres nothing wrong with them...there just not specifically written for YOUR MSI card...thats all...for the most part you shouldnt have no problems...if you decide to install them let me know how they run...otherwise im waiting for MSI to either come out with there own or say there not and to use the ones presented by Nvidia.
ps. and if you want to try out some good 3rd party drivers go here:http://www.omegacorner.com

  • Xorg 1.8 - nvidia 96xx legacy driver

Since a few weeks I use Archlinux and I'was happy with it until my last upgrade. After this (incl. kernel 2.6.34 and xorg 1.8) I was lost in the dark. Googling learned me that the nvidia 96xx legacy driver (I have an old Geforce card) cannot cope with xorg 1.8 (yet??). Could this be better coordinated in the future?
If not, can someone please explain (in simple terms, I'm a newbie, what to do if such things happen).
    Thanks in advance.

    Lets see (long post)

    Good luck with the mistery.
I didn't use anything else to install nvidia-96xx, it was with pacman. nvidia-96xx is no longer on repos but it was when i made the setup. I dont see why they removed it. Works 100% good here on my SD plasma. Even with games and xbmc.

  • Nvidia 41.09 driver--- GF4 MX440??

    hi
    I ve GF4 mx440 and I m using nvidia 41.09 driver...
I m not satisfied the performance...
Do you know a better driver...??

If you want to try newer drivers newer than the 41.09, then you may want to take a look at the NVIDIA drivers at Guru3D and try the 43.00 driver. I am trying it out right now and it gave me a slight frames boost in a few games. I am running DirectX 9.0 by the way.

  • NVIDIA Optimus Display Driver 8.17.12.7658 has a problem

TVSU spends a long time downloading the package and then close with the message that the update did not install. Going to Lenovo's driver matrix the following link results in a Page Not Found.
This driver is a valid update for my T520.There is an obvious cataloging problem here.

I always avoid Optimus, it's historically been way too buggy and very little performance bump over HD4000/4600.  I either opt for Quadro machines or just run Intel integrated.  That being said, it's a blessing in disguise for you since Outlook is hideos.  Consider something else, so many better options exist.

  • Nvidia Open GL driver error when Photoshop CC is open

New PC, bought predominantly for Photoshop use. Downloaded trial of Photoshop CC and it keeps closing with this message -
"Nvidia Open GL Driver detected a problem with the display driver and is unable to continue. Tha application must close. Error Code 3"
This has happened with Photoshop just being open, as well as when in use.
If I untick "use graphics processor", I have no problems. My use of Photoshop is fairly basic (processing and editing photographs from a Nikon D7100), so I don't know what I will miss if I don't use the graphics processor.
    Intel i7-3770 Quad Core (3.4ghz 8mb cache)
    16gb DDR3 1866 mhz
2GB Nvidia GeForce GTX660 graphics card
    Windows 7 professional 64 bit
I have updated the graphics card driver, which made no difference. Can anyone help with suggestions of why I'm getting the error, and what I can do about it please?
    Thank you
    Chris

Had to re-install windows and all drivers for other reasons, and having downloaded Photoshop CC again, I no longer have the problem.

  • After updating to Firefox5.1, Nvidia kernal mode driver frequently "not responding & crashed then recovered", along with crashing of the Firefox browser.

After updating to Firefox5.1, Nvidia kernal mode driver frequently "not responding & crashed then recovered", along with crashing of the Firefox browser.

I have the same problem. I just upgraded to Win 7, no problems. Then I upgraded to FF 4.0, and I kept getting Nvidia Video Card crashes. I always undo my last computer change/install when something like this happens, so I immediately uninstalled 4.0, and went back to my older version of Firefox. No problems ever since.

  • Dv6809wm nvidia Ethernet Controller driver help me please.

My notebook is a dv6809wm. I am Korean, but also the This is South Korea.
After installing Windows 7, nvidia Ethernet Controller, driver can not find.
Windows xp, Vista, 7, installed it several times, nvidia Ethernet Controller driver can not find. Chipset nvidia 630a, installing, and even install sp37730, the Internet should not.
What should I do? You help me please.

This used to be a sticky post but should have your answers. Install the AMD chipset driver for the dv65zz and higher AMD models. This is a Vista driver and may have to be run in compatibility mode but will provide ethernet functionality:
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebook-Operating-Systems-and-Software/Windows-7-Upgrade-Guide-for-dv6...
It is a long post but the AMD chipset driver is near the top. I see you already tried SP37730 and it is not working for you so you may have to do a manual install by pointing the driver installer to the subfolder where sp37730 unzips, containing the ethernet and make it take the ethernet driver .inf file.
You may also want to try one of these drivers:
    http://www.win-raid.com/t15f37-NVIDIA-Optimized-nForce-Driverpacks-for-Vista-Win.html
Use the ones labelled:    3. "Special MCP65-67 nForce Driverpacks for Vista/Win7"
Post back if you need more help with this.

  • Nvidia (Quadro K2000) Driver isn't installed during OSD (Task Sequence succeeded) - HP Z620

    Hi everyone,
I have added a driverset (HP Z620) in SCCM for the first time using our internal procedure (Importing Drivers to SCCM, Create Driver package with specific category, apply driver package in TS using WMI to query for the model).
The Task Sequence succeeded, but the NVIDIA K2000 Graphics driver isn't installed (only HD Graphics 4000 driver).
Looking at the drivers in the Driver Package, this should normally apply since the driver is compatible with this specific GPU.
At the forums, I can see that some people have created a seperate package for the GPU driver installation using command line switches.. But looking at the environment at the customer, we have never done this and in the past, we have succesfully installed
the driver for this GPU before.
PS: The driver for the GPU in my new driver package (HP Z620) isn't the same as for previous models (HP Z220, Z230, Z600).
Could you please advise me what to do? Should I have added something in the driver sources before importing the driver to SCCM?
    Thanks in advance!
    Kind regards

    Hi
I m installing Nvidia (Quadro K2000) Driver during OSD (Task Sequence succeeded) - HP Z420
Remove the Graphics driver for NVIDIA from the current driver database
Added below task in the existing task sequence as invidual installation based on the Condition (WMI query)
    Command Line
    HP_Z420_Graphics_x64\Win64_332_50\setup.exe -s -k -clean -noeula
This will install the desired driver and related configurable components
    WMI Query
select * from win32_ComputerSystem where manufacturer like '%hewlett%' and model like '%z420%'
Currently I m looking out for the Errors codes needed to add to this task . Success codes 3010 and 0 already added

    Hello!
I have same problem. I have tried to update it whit live-updata and for manually. When I install it, everything seems to goes okay, but after installing live-update shows that I still got v. 9.15.
I have allmost same mainboard than you, but ultra version. ( MSI nF570 ultra )
I have to ask, do you have had some problems while downloading? I have some problem in dual lan circuit. My computer shuts down if I download something in fast bit rate and do some browsing at the same time.
No, I'm not having the downloading problem.

  • Nvidia Ion Display Driver issues for S12

    I downloaded the Nvidia drivers
    195.62_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_international_whql
    and
    195.81_notebook_winvista_win7_32bit_international_beta
I tried installing the 195.81 first, but it didnt work so i tried 195.62 but it also didnt work.
    The error message says this:
"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware.  Setup will now exit".
I have a Lenovo Ideapad S12 with Ion.  What is the problem?  I was able to install Nvidia's 191 version of the driver, but these updated ones don't work.
    Help me...
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

If you do a search, you'll find several threads on these forums regarding this issue.
For some reason, as you've found, the current nVidia reference GPU drivers don't work.
Now, thankyou for testing the 195.81 beta drivers - nVidia support actually suggested these as a fix to the issue!
They also suggested trying to install the drivers (either set) from within Safe Mode. You may wish to try that.
However, as has already been stated, the S12 works ok with the shipped drivers.
I recommend installing the nVidia reference chipset driver (I found a marked improvement in performance with them installed) - BUT, only install the SMU component - I found the Storage component causes issues (upto and including a Blue Screen when running a HDD benchmark).
Also, apparently, the desktop GPU drivers from nVidia will work fine.

  • Modes issue after nvidia 302.17 driver upgrade

I use a laptop with a nVidia GeForce 8400M GS video card.
Long time ago (290.xx drivers) I used to add custom modes (from modelines obtained with cvt) with xrandr.
Then I wasn't able to do that anymore and some display modes vanished from "xrandr -q" list, plus tty broke (but it's stated to be an upstream bug).
With 302.17 drivers I have only native mode:
    $ xrandr
    Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1440 x 900, maximum 8192 x 8192
VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
TV-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
    LVDS-0 connected 1440x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 367mm x 230mm
    1440x900 59.9*+
DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
when I try so set a custom mode i get:
    $ cvt 1440 900 60
    # 1440x900 59.89 Hz (CVT 1.30MA) hsync: 55.93 kHz; pclk: 106.50 MHz
    Modeline "1440x900_60.00" 106.50 1440 1528 1672 1904 900 903 909 934 -hsync +vsync
    $ xrandr --newmode "1440x900_60.00" 106.50 1440 1528 1672 1904 900 903 909 934 -hsync +vsync
    $ xrandr
    Screen 0: minimum 8 x 8, current 1440 x 900, maximum 8192 x 8192
VGA-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
TV-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
    LVDS-0 connected 1440x900+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 367mm x 230mm
    1440x900 59.9*+
DVI-I-0 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
    1440x900_60.00 (0x262) 106.5MHz
    h: width 1440 start 1528 end 1672 total 1904 skew 0 clock 55.9KHz
    v: height 900 start 903 end 909 total 934 clock 59.9Hz
    $ xrandr --addmode LVDS-0 "1440x900_60.00"
X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
Major opcode of failed request: 153 (RANDR)
Minor opcode of failed request: 18 (RRAddOutputMode)
Serial number of failed request: 29
Current serial number in output stream: 30
Btw I already tried EDID override... (which resulted in a blank -black-, flickering screen no matter what custom modeline I put)
PS: I used 1440x900 to demonstrate that even if it's automatically set, it isn't recognized.

well, thanks, I actually didn't check the changelog...
I tried setting Metamodes (btw is usage that "simple" or I missed something?):
    Option "MetaModes" "1440x900; 1280x800; 1152x720; 1024x640; 768x480; 576x360; 1024x768; 800x600; 640x480; 480x360"
    but also that didn't work:

  • NVIDIA QUADRO NOTEBOOK DRIVER RELEASE 304 - Version: 305.93 WHQL

Has anyone tried the NVIDIA  QUADRO NOTEBOOK DRIVER RELEASE 304 - Version: 305.93 WHQL (released Sep 5 2012) yet?
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/quadro-notebook-win7-winvista-64bit-305.93-whql-driver.html
(Windows Hardware Quality Labs testing or WHQL Testing is Microsoft's testing process which involves running a series of tests on third-party hardware or software, and then submitting the log files from these tests to Microsoft for review. The procedure may also include Microsoft running their own tests on a wide range of equipment, such as different hardware and different Microsoft Windows editions.)
Anything one needs to pay attention to?
EDIT: I just installed it. It seems to work fine.

I've been running 301.42 for a while now. I'm going to install 305.93 tonight.
Update: This driver appears to work for Windows 8 as well as Windows 7. I'm not seeing much difference between 301.42 and 305.93.
