Nvidia Failed, Apple fixing free of charge.

I have a 2007 Mac Book Pro. The nvidia chipset failed, no display and the external nothing as well. It would boot with the chime and hard drive chattering away like normal, but nothing on the screen (nor external).
Made a appointment with genius bar and they ran some tests, tried everytying, and said it was covered under some nvidia whatever and everything will be fixed no charge to me.
I was very impressed, I arrived on time and was called up to the bar on time.
I miss having my laptop, but oh well.
Anyway, just a good experience to relate.
That darn store was so crowded, i was sure that i was in for a long wait no matter that i had a reservation. But it all went smooth.

Unfortunately I can't see my MacBook Pro with the System Restore disc inserted on my internal network using Remote Desktop, possibly because it doesn't load a network driver from the DVD/CD startup system?
Anyway, I booked a genius appointment. I described in detail what had happened and the methods I had used to try a fix - the assistant knowingly nodded and plugged in what looked like an external drive with a nVidia sticker on it into my MacBookPro. A dialogue box popped up and he was able to determine immediately that my mac was eligible for the replacement of the whole motherboard - at nVidia's expense. He said that they had seen many of these Macs coming back recently and had a back order on the parts taking between 7-14 days.
I asked about the graphics card and what the replacement would be, but he was unsure. I originally bought this MacBookPro from the Apple refurb store. I'm just glad that I'm not having to pay the 750+ UK pounds he guessed at for an out of warranty motherboard replacement :–)

If your problem is deemed to be a hardware failure your phone will be exchanged free of charge. Apple won't fix it; Apple will EXCHANGE it.

You still haven't provided any useful information, the machine has a 1 year warranty and if it's less than 1 year old you can still buy AppleCare. If it is over 1 year old then you have missed your opportunity and will have to pay for any repairs. Known issues may only be known to you and a few others, it may not be wide spread at all. When posting you have to be very specific, we have no idea what you are thinking and cannot see or touch your machine so you have to be much more descriptive.

Will Apple replace NVIDIA graphics card for free?

I've read a lot of discussions on here about the failing NVIDIA cards and Apple having to replace the entire motherboard. Some users have had the experience of Apple replacing the card free of charge, others have had to pay a hefty price. Is there any logic to Apple's discretion of the charge? If so, how do I navigate the "genius" system to avoid a fee? I am, of course, interested in paying as little as possible as this is obviously a manufacturing defect and the costs should be covered by the manufacturer; if there is not going to be a TOTAL RECALL!

Non-the-less you can option click on the battery icon menulet in the upper right. What is the stated condition?

If you mean your iPad got stepped on and the screen physically broke, I think it extremely unlikely that Apple will replace it again for free. They weren't obligated to do so the first time, as apparently they did, and almost certainly not going to do so twice.
Sorry, but I think you'll just have to live without your iPad until such time as you can save up enough money to pay for repairs. There are independent iPad repair services that may be able to replace the screen for less than Apple's replacement charge, though I can't say with certainty. Do a web search for "ipad repair".

My Late 09 Macbook has a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free?

The screen randomly freezes up unless I push the screen slightly forwards or backwards. I'm assuming that this is due to a loose video cable. Will Apple fix it for free? I've tried disassembling it but I can't seem to locate the right screwdriver for some of the screws.

I was walking with my macbook open when suddeny i fainted, my macbook fell off my hands and i was unconcious so i idid not see it fall or where it hit, when i noticed it fell i paniced the system worked perfectly so i was okay. Later that day i was checking it to make sure and the bottom right corner is bended a little and seems broken with a bit missing, the black thing connecting the screen with the bottom is popping out and when i flip my mac it wouldn't stay shut, it would open a bit. one of the screw drivers is falling off. My mac screen cracked and they fixed it for free already one time, would apple fix it again for free. I am really worried because now my macbook will not close completly and im scared that the screen will start getting lose. Is there any way possible to fix this after i woke up from fainting i saw my computer closed and flip i think it fell on it's side. would apple care for this, it has less than 1 year of use so i have guarantee but i think it is only for system issues. Check for yourself as that article is complaining about OS X client, they openly state
they don't have server to test with. So the complaint is legitimate, but dangerously inaccurate.
Unless you have installed the server update and verified that it does not fix the issue.

Apple wil very likely charge you to exchange the iPOd. Acidental damage like a problen screen is not covered by the warranty.
