Nvidia/MSI 61.77 Drivers

Hi
I just downloaded both the Nvidia and MSI 61.77 Drivers, I have the MSI 5900XT VTD 128MB Card, and this card is not even listed in the Readme.txt. How safe is it to use the above mentioned drivers. Currently I'm using the Drivers which came on the CD along with the card i.e 56.xx version. Any help is appreciated.

  • Missing MSI Clock using 64bit MSI 77.77 drivers

    Hi,
I'm on a freshly installed copy of XP64bit (AMD).
Downloaded and installed MSI's 64bit drivers for my MSI NVIDIA 7800GT card and I'm missing the MSI Clock tab with the Dynamic Overclocking bits.
Any ideas where it went or how to get it back? I don't want to use the coolbits or Nvidia's tuning utils, just the plain old MSI tool.
I had it pre reinstall, but now, is missing. I get MSI Information but not the tools!
At my wits end after an hour of googling for an answer.
    Any help greatfully received.
PS. I've narrowed the components down to SW20.exe & SW24.exe which are both present on the install dir for the x64 drivers.

    Kieron,
x64 hardware Driver Support is spotty at best for any hardware out there. You can set your Fan Speeds using the ForceWare Drivers combined with Riva Tuner.
    Take Care,

  • MSI Live update Drivers

How come MSI doesn't use the latest Catlyst drivers in the live update?

Good question...I have an nvidia card and their drivers are often very old, too (though just today, by coincidence, they updated them).
My guess is this: MSI needs to take extra time to "customize" the drivers, which causes the delay. For example, video cards with VIVO need (?) a customized MSI driver in order to use that feature. Just a guess, really...

  • IMac Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS Drivers

I am running XP Professional via Boot Camp. I run XP so I can play America's Army since it is a Windows only based game. The problem I am having is when I expand Americas Army full screen it completely locks up my iMac and I have to hold down the power button to reset it.
I have been told by several people that the problem is from the Nvidia GeForce 8800 GS drivers. I tried to up date the graphics drivers from Apple's and Nvidia's website with the latest driver. When I try to install the graphics driver from the setup file, it gives me the following error.
"The NVIDIA Setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. Setup will now exit."
Here is the location where I downloaded the driver from.

    Hey guys,
I encountered problems renaming the nv4 disp file that allen sent me (drivers still would not install)...so instead of replacing the original nv4 disp.inf file in windows, I opened the nv4 disp file allen sent me, copied the text, and pasted it in the original nv4 disp file in the NVIDIA folder after deleting the text of the original file and saved it...after that, the new drivers installed without a hitch...have yet to test whether or not the infinite loop is gone or not in Age of Empires 3 though...will keep u updated...thx for the file allen!

  • MSI GT735 VGA drivers update (HD3850).

    Hi,
VGA drivers for the MSI GT735 Ati Mobility Radeon HD3850 are now out of date...
The ones available on MSI download site are catalyst 8.5 :
    http://eu.msi.com/index.php?func=nbdriver&maincat_no=135&prod_no=1517&driver_os_no=2#os
The ones provided by Ati on their offcial site are not working (10.5).
Some of the latests games I'm installing are crashing and when I'm asking for support, hotliners ask me to use the latests drivers for my video card, mines are nearly 18 monthes old, which is a long time, especially for drivers, and mostly for video drivers.
It seems a little bit strange for a notebook of "Gaming Series"...
More, modders like Mobility Modder.NET do not work...
    Can you help?
Does MSI think about its fans and hardcore gamers?
    Best regards.

    Sorry!
I just downloaded Ati Catalyst 10.5 for Ati Mobility Radeon HD 3850 and they work perfectly!!!
They now have a section for notebooks on Ati website.
My games are now working great, and I'm scoring 3810 in 3DMark 2006, with benchmark by default.
This post can be removed, I didn't look at "[IMPORTANT!] Modified Vista and XP drivers for laptops with ATI & NVIDIA GPU" section of the forum before posting.
    Best regards.

  • Problems installing nVidia WDM video capture drivers

I have a  MSI MS-StarForce GeForce4 Ti 4600 (NVIDIA GeForce4 Ti 4600) video card installed on my computer and I can't seem to figure out why when I try to install the WDM video capture drivers - I always get the same error message "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" Can someone...anyone please explain to me what code 10 means and why I'm having this problem?  My OS is Windows XP Pro.
I would be so appreciative for some support of any kind
    Thanks

Funny you should ask about the Vivo connector...When I originally purchased the card, Upon arriving home,  I opened the box and after reading the manual for a few minutes- I noticed I didn’t see the TV out Video 4 in one connector that the manual said should be in the box.  I unpacked the box completely and searched my house entirely and there was no 4 in 1 connector.  Well….having purchased more than my fair share of peripherals from Fry’s Electronics, I already knew that I had more than likely purchased unknowingly a previously opened box and then repackaged to look new except with one flaw….a missing video connector.  The following day, I attempted to get Fry’s to claim some type of liability and after a heated discussion with the manager - I ended up leaving Fry’s without a new un-opened box or a replacement for the connector that had been missing.
Then months later I was on the PC Club’s website and came upon a Vivo connector that I thought might work with my card.  I ordered it and two months later! Literally! It arrived. (That’s another horror story!!!) The Vivo video in/out connector arrived and to my disappointment, didn’t work with my card.
So to make a long story short (TOO LATE!)  No the card doesn’t work with a Vivo connector but rather a MSI named TV in/out 4 in 1 connector.  But since I don’t have it anyway, my plan is to try capturing video with an S video cable and give that a whirl!

Just an update- I have now downloaded the software you have suggested and plan un- installing and then re-installing the drivers you had recommended  I'll let you know
Thanks again for all you're input.

  • GTX970 questions - MSI Apps and drivers

    Hey
So... I bought an MSI Gaming 970 4g and installed it.
I unninstalled the old nvidia drivers that I had, since I had a Gigabyte 660ti OC. But everytime I unnistalled the graphics driver through the control panel, windows automatically installed some video driver. I installed the latest nvidia driver after that. I dont know why, but geForce Experience's Shadownplay wont work after that (I also reinstalled GE).
I'm not sure if I did everything correctly. I did everything again (uninstall and reinstall) yesterday, iinstalling the drivers through GE, but it got stuck after installing PhysX drivers.
The card seems to be working propperly, except for the fact that it doesnt seem to stress at all. I was playing Witcher 3 on Ultra and it never went above 60C even though I had arount 40 ~ 50 fps (shouldnt it stress more and try to run with 60 fps or something?) everything I read about the card shows that it should be around 70C on load.
    So there's that too.
Also... that MSI gamming ap. Everytime I try to set it to OC mode (tryed just to see if I could stress the card enought to see the fans turning on) the driver crashes. Same goes if I try to OC it through Afterburner.
And that Auto Update 6 thing wont work. It says that my platform is not supported.
Another thing. I also cant minimize the game after the VGA change.
So the question is: did I reinstall the drivers properly ? how to I know?
Why are shadowplay and GE all buggy?
Why is my VGA not using 100% of its capacity?
What's all that with the MSI apps?

    Hey!  So...I did everything accodingly.
Unninstalled all the drivers, reboot (cuz it didnt let me reinstall them without rebooting). Windows then installed automatically a generic video driver I guess. I then unninstalled that said driver and installed Nvidia's.
I have nice performance gamming as long as dont mess with MSI's Gamming App. I open Afterburner and set the Gamming App profile and then the game gets unstable and the driver crashes after some time. I read some stuff as to Gamming App being unstable. Maybe the fact that I have both the gamming app and afterburner open is causing conflicts (like the gamming app trying to set the clock or power limit at the same time that afterburner sets them to be stock values). Is it possible?
Anyway, as to the fans not turning on and the board being constantly at 60C I saw that I was reading the wrong graphs all along. I was reading something right above fan speed that is something like fan tachometer or whatever. What happens is that the fan really turns on when the board reaches 61 and the temps get back to 60. I guess that's normal behavior.
Anyway, stresstesting it went ok with kombustor and the one you suggested. No crashes. All the problems start with this specific game and only when I use gamming app and afterburner.
    darkhawk
My only fear is not diagnosing any eventual problem now that I just bought the VGA and find out in the future when I actually want to OC it that I cant because of something that I missed today. Yes, I'm a little paranoid lol, hardware prices are a bit high where I live. And warrantry is something that doesnt work always as it should too sometimes.
Any opinions on my PSU? I bought it recently and I spent a along time chosing a good one. Read everywhere that this model was one of the best and it had some awesome reviews. I dont think that it's not delivering or it's falty, but who knows. Maybe the model doesnt have that feature of delivering more power on demmand and then stuff crashes when the VGA asks for more power.
Anyway everything could still be a problem with the game itself.
EDIT: Here's the link to the model I have

  • MSI GeForce2 GTS Drivers will not install

When trying to upgrade drivers for MSI 8815 VGA (GeForce2 GTS) using either the Nvidia or MSI download Windows 98 stops booting and displays this error in the dos screen:
    While initializing device IOS:
ERROR: Real mode system memory allocation failed.
I have tried all the drivers available for Nvidia cards and nothing will install later than version 21.85. I don't have any versions later than that except what is available now for download.
Is there any way to get around this problem?

No, but RAM is 512MB though I don't have any problems with the cache size, etc. or recognizing all the RAM. I considered testing removing one of the sticks of ram just long enough to install the video drivers but wonder whether the same problem would happen as soon as the stick was put back in. The note on Microsoft web site refers to Windows ME and the cache size which again don't seem to be a problem here.

  • Problems in installing msi k9n6gm-v drivers in sun solaris

I have problems in installing drivers of my msi motherboard. Please help me. Also im new in using sun solaris. I dont know how to run executable and .ini files format which is windows compatible.

You are new to the forum, so some advice:
Do not post the same question to multiple forums.
Pick one and place it there.
You will get a response or you will not get a response.
Cross-posting will not get any answer, any faster, and it is considered bad forum manners.
ini and exe files are for Microsoft's OS.
    They don't work in *NIX.
Your motherboard drivers are for Windows and cannot be used for Solaris.

So, Fedora 11 is enabling KMS on Nvidia video cards via the open-source Nouveau video drivers: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/ … odesetting
I've spent quite a while trying to get it to work myself, but have gotten nowhere.  Has anyone else gotten it to work?

  • NVIDIA GeForce 2 Ultra drivers for Solaris 8

I am having trouble making the GeForce 2 Ultra drivers from NVIDIA. I have the latest gcc and make from GNU, but I keep getting errors. Has anyone been able to successfully load them and get them to work with the GeForece? Thanks in advance.

    unixforall,
I had the same problem under linux. I can only tell you what I did for Linux as I haven't had a chance to download Solaris yet. Get the following file:
    ftp://ftp.xfree86.org/pub/XFree86/4.0.2/Install
If you follow this step by step (it is very self explanatory) then you should end up with a few binaries that are compatible with the GeForce. In particular the XFree86 X server module. I don't know if there are any other catches with Solaris but with Linux (RH7) this worked like a charm (except I overwrote my previous config files and had to reinvent the wheel - be careful backup all config files if you are going to overwrite them). Anyway I hope this is of some use.

  • Updated nVidia GeForce FX5200 U drivers

Does anyone knows where can I find any updated drivers for my iMac G5 64Mb nVidia FX5200 U video card? I checked the nVidia website, and they don't have drivers for Mac.
Specifically, the current Mac drivers don't support the OpenGL 2.0 Extensions completely (such as texture compression).
I've later learned that these updated drivers are released with every OS X update, when is the next update (10.4.3) due?
Does anybody know how can I request such drivers to Apple?
Thanks a lot and I appreciate all your answers!

I recently upgraded to Yosemite on my mid 2009 MBP and now I have maximum resolution of 1080p - so i suspect its the nvidia Graphics card that needs essential updates. Also after extensive search Im starting to get the feeling Apple have cut us off ...  no surprises there.
