Nvidia Quadro drivers

I was able to get going using the Vista drivers on Windows 7 on my T61 discrete graphics (NVidia quadro nvs 140m) to get going on the RTM.
I've checked the driver matrix and haven't found any driver marked Windows 7 yet.  Any tips?
Much thanks!

  • I installed a NVIDIA QUADRO K2000 card and downloaded the most current drivers. AE does not accept

Can anyone offer a solution for this? I installed a NVIDIA QUADRO K2000 graphics card. I downloaded the latest drivers for the card. AE reports that this GPU is incompatible.  This is one of recommended listed cards for CS6. Any suggestions?

    > This is one of recommended listed cards for CS6.
Where did you get that information? That card is not on this list:
    http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html
What is the exact message that you're referring to when you say that After Effects "reports that this GPU is incompatible"? Is it just saying that it won't use this GPU for the CUDA acceleration of the ray-traced 3D renderer? If so, the only thing that you'd be missing is GPU acceleration of one feature.
See this page for details of how the GPU is used in After Effects:

  • Nvidia Quadro NVS280 Drivers lost...

The Nvidia Quadro NVS280 graphic drivers don't exist, windows recognizes this hardware as generic VGA, and it's not possible to see the video and the photos in correct way.
It's an old hardware, automatically recognized by XP and by Vista.. because with Windows 7 don't work?
I have tried to install the XP and Vista drivers in compatible mode, but don't work or it goes to crash.
    Does someone have a solution?
    Thanks

    Hi,
From NVIDIA’s site, I find the following:

  • Kernel Panic Nvidia Quadro Pro 4000 CC14 MAC PRO 10.9.4 mavericks

I get kernels panics constantly when using CC14 lightroom and photoshop.. And this is causing  me to loose thousands of dollars. I have searched for months have lost thousands of dollars in work, have trued to contact support only to be sent to community forums which i get no response...o
    THEREFORE.....
Allow me to waste more time by contacting this unresponsive company.
i  constantly get Kernel Panics when using CC14 associated with my NVIDIA Quadro 4000 2048  while using cc14 photoshop and lightroom since I updated to Maverick 10.9.4.
I have been searching for fixes for months, i have updated everything, every driver,  and this has costed me THOUSANDS of dollars in pay i am unable to receive because my %^&* computer keeps crashing.
Now i am pissed! I have consulted APPLE and  even after pushing me up to the top level.  they still read off a piece of paper. ! i just wanted to go back to osx before mavericks which i was having NO ISSUES but no one seem to have a clue at apple how to even turn one on.
    1. i am NOT doing a master restore and I NEVER had a problem before Mavericks and CC14!!!
    2. Every driver is updated every firmware is updated
    3. there is NOTHING RUNNING IN HTE BACKGROUND
    4. i did an smc and reset pram
    5. ran disk utility -- no problems
    6. searched for answers for months.
    7. and by the way..... photoshop cc14 does not save your work on a crash. it saves what you already saved
I AM TIRED OF WASTING MY TIME TRYING TO GET ANSWERS WHEN I ONLY GET IGNORED.
this is an issue with my nvidia quadro pro 4000 video card and -- adobe and - mavericks.
MY system is high end, mac pro 5,1 Processor  2 x 2.93 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon Late 2010 20 gig ram, quadro pro 4000 and an APPLE SSD TS512B
    solid state
and i spent 10 gran on this system. I am a professional and this is my BUSINESS... my only income.  not a kid playing games.
The video card was over a 1000.00!  Nvidia? ADOBE?
This needs to be fixed. this is my livelihood

Thanks for responding....of course I mean adobe. A community forum is NOT a company.
I read the link to the thread and this person says an application CANNOT cause kernel panics -- well Apple begs to differ. http://support.apple.com/kb/PH14063
I have my own photography studio, ive spent over a half million dollars on my education (2 masters degrees) my equipment, and traveling the world to various workshops. I spend some evening researching new technology to stay on top of my craft but what I dont do and dont have time to do is follow forums regularly.
Therefore i dont know that this person has repeatedly said the same thing over and over in different threads about applications causing KP.
You suggested that I take my trouble shooting somewhere else...trust me this is not the first place ive tried to get answer.s I have been trying to resolve this issue since i updated to 10.9.4 and CC 14 and Nvidia Quadro pro 4000. It  has been months of phone calls research, forums, talking to anyone i know that knows anything and  I have lost thousands of dollars.  My digital lab ran perfect before the updates.
    so......
First...I DISAGREE with the guy in the thread because what he wrote is just his opinion. It doesnt matter wjho he works for, it a person converses a fact with NO REFERENCES then it looses credibility.  I always include a reference when I make a statement to anyone
second: as i said in my discussion -- i have done everything and the only time i get kernel panics is when using photoshop - nothing else running in the background, and the issue is with the video card drivers , 10.9.4 and photoshop and lightroom CC14.
lastly; I know my video card is fine because Ive had photoshoots where i tethered (as I alwasy do) to Phocus software for my Hasselblad H4d and there is never a crash or kernel panic issue. ever.
I ONLY GET KERNEL PANICS WHEN I USE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP OR LIGHTROOM  CC14 AND IT HAS ONLY HAPPENED SINCE I UPDATED TO 10.9.4 AND CC14
apple told me to do a restore --  they were just reading  me what they were supposed to say.

  • NVidia Quadro 4500 for mac and pc question

I am thinking of purchasing a new Mac Pro 3.0GHz Quad-Core desktop with the nVidia Quadro 4500 graphics card. I want to run Solidworks on Windows XP SP2 and also be able to boot into Mac OS X. I have done hours of research trying to make sure it will work but can't seem to find any posts that suggest my system will work as I intend.
I have found out that the nVidia Quadro 4500 needs to configured for the mac (firmware) and that you just can't buy one from eBay and install it. There are PC versions and Mac versions. Also, flashing it to work with a mac is very difficult and may damage the card if you get it wrong. Not something I want to do.
So, my question is: If I buy this Mac Pro from Apple with the nVidia Quadro 4500 card already installed, will I have any problems with it working on the window side of things when I boot into Windows XP? Does anyone have the setup that I am talking about and also running SolidWorks on the Windows side?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
    Yee Ha!

    Hi,
Mac OS X Leopard has Boot Camp included with the software. I have read online (Apple site amongst others) the BootCamp bundled with Leopard has all the drivers for Windows included, so you no longer need to create a disc with the drivers needed for Windows (as you did under the BootCamp beta version).
That being the case, Leopard should have the required drivers for your Quadro FX 4500 to function under Windows.
    See here for details:
    http://www.apple.com/uk/macosx/features/bootcamp.html
    Hope this helps

  • Driver please! NVidia Quadro NVS 140M Windows 7 64-bit

Installed Windows 7 RTM (Professional, x64) on my T61.  Surprise!  There's no driver for my NVidia Quadro NVS 140M, and I can't install the one that I downloaded from NVidia.  I'm stuck in 1024x768.  Ouch!
    What's the plan, Stan?
If there are any driver hackers out there who could help me install NVidia's driver, please speak up.

I'm running now using the NVidia-provided driver for Windows 7 x64.  I was able to install it by running the installer in Vista compatibility mode.
For Windows 7 newbies, the specific steps are:
     * Download the installer (186.81_notebook_win7_winvista_64bit_international_whql.exe)
     * Run this file to extract the files to C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO
     * For the two files nvudisp.exe and setup.exe in  C:\DRIVERS\WIN\VIDEO, do the following:
     * Right-click the file, select Properties.
     * Click the Compatibility tab
     * Check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:"  Select "Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)
     * Click OK.
Then double-click setup.exe to run it.
So far this is working for me.

  • Mac Pro 3.1 (early 2008) and nVIDIA Quadro FX5600

    Hi all,
I am triying to install nVIDIA Quadro FX5600 on a Mac Pro 3.1 (early 2008).
Well, indeed I have been using this graphics card in this computer already, however, a few hours after installing the card, I updated the Mac OS, and there began the problems.
    Characteristics:
    -Mac Pro 3.1 (early 2008)
    -2 x 2,8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon
    -12GB 800 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM
    Graphics cards:
-slot 1: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT
    -slot 2: nVIDIA Quadro FX5600
The story is a little bit long, however I think it is important to give the maximum information:
1-I purchased the nVIDIA Quadro FX5600, and took the computer and the card to an apple reseller to install it.
2-They installedit, physically, in slot 2, and left in slot 1 the ATI Radeon, the card included in the computer when I purchased it.
3-They told me that after installing the drivers in Mac OS 10.10.2, when restarting the computer after installing, they had kernel panic problems.
4-They installed the card in another Mac computer with Mac OS 10.9.5 to check if the card was compatible with Mac, and it worked perfectly.
5-And finally, "they say", that they repeated the same operation than in point 2 and 3, also in my computer, and this time they didn't have kernel panic problems. So I took the computer at home, ready to use my new graphics card
6-When I arrived at home, I worked about 4/5 hours with the computer, and before ending the day and closing the computer, I installed two Mac updates. One of them was a security update and the other one an iMovie update. The first one worked, however the iMovie one didn't, it gave an error. I decided to give no importance and close the app store.
7-Just after closing the app store, it appeared a message from nVidia controller, saying that there was a new update. So I install it, and once installed, it recommended to restart the computer, so I restarted.
8-When the computer restarted, before loading the Mac OS desktop, they appeared the kernel panic problems, and seconds after the computer restarted automatically again. The same thing continuosly, all the time.
9-The computer's disk is divided into two parts, Mac OS and Windows 7 professional. So I decided to erase all the content in the Mac OS part and install the OS 10.10.2 again from zero (I have a copy in time machine of all my documents).
10-Once Mac OS 10.10.2 (14C1510) installed again, I have installed the Quadro & Geforce Mac OS X driver release 343.02.02 again which is the driver compatible with the operative system.
11-The same problem has occured, when restarting the computer after installing the drivers, the same problem as in point 3 occurs again.
12-I repeated the same operation as in point 9 and 10, however, this time, before restarting the computer after installing the nVIDIA drivers, I installed the CUDA 6.5.46 driver, and the same problem has occured.
The key is that the computer has been working with this graphics card, however, the story has turned crazy...
Anyone has experienced the same problems? Any clue about it?
    Many thanks in advanced!

You probably read how that 10.10.2 security update changed the build number of the OS, how Apple is still using really old Nvidia driver from 10.8.2.
So called "Security Update 2015-002" from today will purposely break nVidia drivers! ( 1 2 3)
    http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1853748
Mixing ATI and Nvidia in older versions of Windows was a no-no.
With 10.10 I would ditch the 2600XT, it is doing nothing for you except taking up a slot.
you really just could ask and no need to drag 60 lbs and have someone else put a GPU in and attach the 6-pin aux power.
Another site along with MacIntouch to check daily and keep your eye on:

    "New in Release 343.02.02f03

See linked page for more info. (As of March 12th post date still links to Cuda 6.5.46 from January 28th but that could change.)

  • T61 will not boot with nvidia quadro 140m driver

    Hi all,
A couple of weeks ago, after allowing MS update to install some FTDI driver updates, my system will not boot up and hangs shortly after the initial vista loading screen. The screen goes black with some HD activity and eventually reboots. After trying a couple of restore points with no luck, I started to remove the latest driver updates and other software to my system again with no luck.
If I uninstall the nvidia driver and use the Standard VGA driver, it will boot and come up properly. I've done a bunch of web searches and searches on this site and can't find my exact circumstances. Its hard to believe that it could be a  hardware issue since it started after a software update, but since it hasn't been a problem for anyone else, I'm just not sure at this point.
I've tried earlier versions of the nvidia driver, removing other drivers and services trying to find a coincidence, but nothing seems to work. I'm kind of at a loss at this point. Does anyone have some suggestions?
    Thanks in advance,
    Dave

    More info on my system:
OS Name    Microsoft® Windows Vista™ Business
    Version    6.0.6001 Service Pack 1 Build 6001
    System Model    6459CTO
    System Type    x64-based PC
    Processor    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T8300  @ 2.40GHz, 2401 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 2 Logical Processor(s)
    BIOS Version/Date    LENOVO 7LETC5WW (2.25 ), 11/14/2008
    SMBIOS Version    2.4
Installed Physical Memory (RAM)    4.00 GB
Also, does anyone know if using the Standard VGA Display driver without problems on this system means that the video card hardware is working? In other words, I'm trying to rule out a hardware problem with my nvidia quadro 140m card, so if the system works fine with the standard vga driver, would that mean the hardware on the card is ok?
    Thanks,
    Dave

  • TECRA S5 Nvidia Quadro NVS130M - Sudden BSOD - Win 7 Pro 32-Bit

Having moved from Vista to Windows 7, everything was working fine until two days ago, when suddenly my Laptop stopped working. I was forced to hard reboot it, and then all hell broke loose.
    The problem is as follows:
    Part Number info: PTS53E-00S009EP - Toshiba Tecra S5 - 2GB Ram Intel Core 2 Duo T7300 2.0 Ghz - Nivdia Quadro NVS130M
Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit begun to suddenly report and error code 43 for the graphic adapter (Nvidia Quadro NVS130M). I had the latest nvidia drivers, so I uninstalled the previous ones and rebooted the machine and installed the new ones. After reboot the Laptop crashed with a bluescreen.
I reverted to last known good configuration (default vga adapter drivers from windows which does not recognize the Nvidia Quadro NVS130M) and the Laptop booted up normally allowing me to enter Windows again.
I went back to the previous Nvidia drivers, and the same issue happened, bluescreen, revert to last known good configuration (default windows vga adapter driver).
I went back to the latest drivers for the Nvidia Quadro NVS130M found on the Toshiba downloads site, same situation as before.
I went all the way back to the oldest drivers on Toshiba Support Downloads site, and still the issue remains.
I have Windows 7 Professional 32-Bit since August and everything was working fine, it is fully updated, and have always used Nvidia's drivers both wit the factory default Vista and Windows 7.
I have not installed any windows updates recently, the last being early november 2011.
The only recent change, about 15 days ago, was that I finally found the drivers for the SD Card reader, they where for windows XP interestingly enough, but Windows 7 immediately recognized the SD Reader which it had not done until then. It couldnt even identify the sort of hardware it was.
I tried uninstalling the toshiba drivers for the SD Card Reader, but even then with that uninstalled, and the hardware disabled in the hardware management, when i try to use the factory drivers downloaded from Toshiba the bluescreen still happens.
One other symptom I've noticed is that if the bluescreen does not occurr ( when it does it specifically lists a file from the nvidia drivers as the cause), the computer will stay with a black screen and the fan will be running at extremely high speed, but there seems to be no HDD activity, as the HDD activity light on the Laptop does not light-up at all.
I have read there is an issue that may lead to the computer blocking or freezing unless the latest version of UPEK software is used. However it does not mention anything about a Bluescreen. Also since the Bluescreen error message specifically states the name of a Nvidia driver file, it wouldnt make much sense that he problem was the UPEK Fingerprinting software the one that was causing this.
It wouldnt make any sense at all since if I leave the default vga adaptor driver operating only and do not install any driver for the graphics board everything works fine, SD Reader, UPEK Figerprinting, etc....
I had everything working, including the fingerprinting software until exactly two days ago, so thats also puzzling me.
I have run Symantec's Endpoint Protection AV Software and the computer is completely clean, there are no virri, and nothign shows as abnormal.
I am now totally out of ideas and I cannot seem to find any information on this subject.
Your help highly appreciated and urgently needed, because if all else fails, I would be forced to rollback to Vista, something I really really really would not like to do, due to the usual hassle of reinstalling OS,Office, and Software for a grand total of over 50GB, and due to the fact that Vista is vastly inferior in so many aspects to Windows 7.
Thank you in advance for all your help and support.

    Hi Jorge,
I also read about fingerprint driver which cause a freezing on Tecra series but as far as I know it was related to A11 and M11 series the S5 should not be affected but to be honest the described issue sounds more like a graphic chip issue
Possibly its not graphic driver related issue but graphic chip issue
But did you try to test the notebook with fresh preinstalled OS? Try this and use the OS which was preinstalled by Toshiba in such case you could check if its really a driver problem or chip issue

  • W540 Nvidia Quadro K2100M Code 43

I bought a new W540 a few days ago and have been setting it up; upgrading to Windows 8.1, installing software, etc.
Today I noticed in the Device Manager that the Nvidia Quadro K2100M disreet graphics has stopped.  This is the error message:
"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)"
    The problem code is 0000002B.
The onboard Intel HD Graphics 4600 is working fine.
I am certain that the Nvidia card was working before, but I don't know exactly when it stopped working or why.  I've attempted to reinstall the graphics drivers multiple times, but no result.
When I try to access the Nvidia Control Panel, it says "You are not currently using a display attached to an Nvidia GPU".  Not surprising since the device has been stopped by Windows.
When I try to disable then re-enable the device in the device manager while the onboard graphics is active, the computer will crash (or appear to crash) without a BSoD or any error messages.  The screen will show the desktop background colour with some broken windows (fragments of borders), and nothing will move.
If I disable the onboard graphics, the Nvidia card's error is the same.  Then if I disable and re-enable the Nvidia card, it will say that it is working, but the computer does not use it.  On reboot, it will have the same error.
I'm aware that hardware failure is a possibility.  I'm hoping to exhaust other possibilities before getting this thing serviced.

"Just did a factory reset. Same problem. Looks like a confirmed hardware problem"
The joy of Optimus (see also Dell's M-series)... Let's hope that Lenovo will fix this together with Intel and nvidia, rather soon - the 540 is quite late on the market already.

  • Nvidia Quadro fx2800m on w701ds with Win 7 64 update problem

Hello, i had a couple of crashes with blue screen and i knew it was the graphic driver because several times i saw the windows warning Graphic driver restored.
I decided to update it from the lenovo site by downloading the latest one, it was 307.xx and on installation it gave the error: This Graphics Driver could not find compatible graphics driver.
I downloaded the driver from the official nvidia website but it kept crashin after long time running, so i went to lenovo support and downloaded the latest one: 6md647ww.exe released on April 1st with driver version 311 and it gives the same error. I had a lot of troubles with this, installed lenovo system update but it doesn't help too, so npow i removed everything with device manager disable and uninstall, and automatically using windows driver update i have some version from 2011, no nvidia control panel and the other features.
Please let me know how can i install the official up to date lenovo driver, i even tried disabling the driver integrity check but it failed again.

In the meanwhile Rev 04 of the driver was published. This version is binary different to Rev 03 and - surprise - it now says correctly after unpacking it will install the 64-bit version. But after that same problem as before, "no compatible device found".
I did some searching into the files of 6md647ww. I guess the file Display.Driver\NVLT.inf contains a list of compatible devices - in this file the sections labelled NVIDIA_SetA_Devices.NTamd64.* list a lot of device-ids, for example PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0A3C&SUBSYS_214517AA and many more. The device id of the graphics card for a system can be found in the hardware/device manager of windows, I obtained that for my card and this id doesn't show anywhere in NVLT.inf. So if my guess is correct, it is no wonder the installer says "no compatible device" since the device id of my card is not listed in NVLT.inf.
Please note again that all previous versions of lenovo drivers for my NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M did and do install without absolutely any problem!
This is strange, readme of the current driver version definitely says NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800M is supported by this driver, but the driver doesn't seem to contain the device id for it. Looks almost like the wrong driver was used / bundled into 6md647ww.
And again the question to the board / administrators if lenovo technical support is reading here and is there another contact at lenovo where I could direct my problem to? I am still having the sporadic heavy crash issue which is very dangerous since it can happen any time if displaying whatever graphics in whatever software and which therefore has a high risk of data loss. Also, installing the plain NVIDIA driver directly in the current version still has the problem of flickering and color errors, so this isn't a solution either.
    Best regards, Michael

  • Nvidia Quadro 4000 not working properly

    Hi all,
I am really hoping that some one can help me with a very frustrating issue with my new Mac Pro and Nvidia Quadro 4000 card.
I purchased my Mac Pro from an Apple store and added the Quadro 4000, I need that card as it is supported by Adobe Premiere CS5 to enable the GPU acceleration. The reason I went to the store to buy instead of online was to get advice about the card as I have not used a Mac for 5 years now. I was told that they are not familiar with the card, but put it in and run alongside the ATI card.
When it arrived I put it all together, except for the Quadro 4000, and it all worked perfectly. I have 2 x 27” Cinema Displays attached. I installed production studio CS5 and then extremely carefully added the Quadro card.
Without going on about all the drama with it not working with the ATI card and then removing that and installing only the Quadro, it is not doing what I bought it to do. Adobe is not recognising the device, I have updated to version 5.0.3 of Premiere Pro, which supports this card.
I think I know what the problem is, but I have no idea how to resolve it. I put the Quadro in and then installed the drivers. My research says this is wrong (there were no instructions in the box and the read me file on the disc just said I need a specific cuda driver), so I removed it, put the ATI in and hunted down all the Cuda (Quadro stuff) files, deleted them, reinstalled drivers and reinstalled the card. No change, it drives one display and Premiere still cant see it.
I have tried to find answers on the internet, Apple are not very helpful as it was a third party item they have no training on (although purchased from Apple).
The only thing I have read is it may need to be on OS 10.6.5, I updated to 10.6.6 and/or because I installed the card before drivers. I have read that I need to sort out ‘Permissions’ but can’t find out how.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, I really need to get this thing working as I have a very expensive computer I can not use.
    Thanks
    Phil
Oh, one other thing, it is supposed to run two displays, one via display port and the other via DVI, but I am having no joy here either, and there seems to be no DVI male to MDP female adapter????

You are making it (sounds like to me) harder than it is.
You do not mention which ATI card, but you should use both side by side unless you have the 5870 which is using the two pci 6-pin power connectors on it.
With Mac OS people generally never need to delete drivers by hand.
ATI 57x0 and Quadro work better together. Or even ATI 4870 and GTX 285 in the past. Use the ATI for monitors and Quadro for CUDA and Mercury.
FYI for Quadro 4000 Mac Owners upgrading to 10.6.6:
Included in today's 10.6.6 related apple docs is one noting new Quadro 4000 owners need to Reinstall the Nvidia Quadro driver update after updating to 10.6.6.
To save you a lot of clicks (the doc links to the nvidia product page) - here's the page with the current (as of this AM) Quadro OS X 10.6.5 Driver page which still shows the 11/16/2010 driver date/v256.01.00f03. But the file I downloaded this morning is named "Retail_256.01.00f03v5.dmg" (28.9MB) - dated Dec 17th. The file I downloaded back in mid-Nov does not have the "V5" in the filename and is larger (37.3MB). I don't own this card and not dug into the pkg to see what changed (i.e. did they remove the extra kexts for other models perhaps?) but just a FYI.

Reinstall the 10.6.6 combo update manually is sometimes a good idea (some of us use only combo updates when it comes time to update OS X).

  • Strange: NVidia Quadro 2000 freezes after the 6th video mode switching

Asus P8P67 with NVidia Quadro 2000 and some 24" Asus monitor (SVGA/DVI/HDMI; DVI being used) and the most strange behavior:
    1. if starting with display manager: after 6th sequence: Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctr-Alt-F7 or 6th logout from my DE,
    2. if starting with no display manager: after 6th `startx' and logout
my monitor and keyboard freeze (the monitor gets dark gray or black, sometimes with `no DVI signal' message). If I connect remotely and kill all GUI applications it unfreezes but I'm unable to start GUI once again. The most strange thing is that there are absolutely no error messages in logs.
    Tried 295.53 and 295.49 drivers,
    tried `vga=normal' boot option
    tried `acpi_osi=Linux' boot option
tried changing USB ports and the keyboard
    tried removing any `*hdmi*' modules
    tried...
I have no idea how to deal with this problem. Seems like some video resource exhaustion but ...
    *any* help welcome!

    Solved by https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Nv … s.22_issue
    A new file: /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/20-nvidia.conf :
    Section "Device"
    Identifier "Device0"
    Option "ModeValidation" "NoTotalSizeCheck"
    EndSection
    fixed it.

  • Windows XP SP3 Freezes After Installation of Nvidia Quadro FX3000

Greetings to all!  I have an older Dell running Windows XP SP3.  It had an Nvidia Quadro FX1000 which began going bad and I replaced with a Quadro FX3000 model.  The drivers I downloaded from Nvidia's web site were the most recent qualified
drivers (yep, they were old, but still the correct drivers).  After of the installation of the card and the drivers Windows boots normally to the logon screen.  After typing in my password Windows tells me its loading my personal settings, then freezes
with no further activity.  I'm unable to use the mouse at that point and can't shut down gracefully.
I can boot successfully into Windows via Safe Mode and log on using my password.  However, the system always hangs after logging on when I just boot straight into Windows without using safe mode.
Can anyone weigh in with a possible reason for this to occur.  It's driving me crazy.  I'm sure the answer is right in front of me, I'm just not seeing it.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi!
I know its almost a month since you posted, but I would boot in to safe mode, remove the display drivers and install an older version of the driver. For instance the driver that was released before the latest one.
This has done the trick for me a few times with other hardware!
    Best regards

  • T61 with Nvidia QUADRO: DVI on Advanced mini doc don't work

    Hello all,
I have a very annoying problem with lenovo T61 with NVidia quadro nvs 140 (type 7664-1GG, 1400x900, 7200rpm wdigital hard upgrade, Vista Ultimate x86, 4 Gb RAM (2 Gb upgrade)). The external display (ViewSonic VP2030 20") on DVI does not work after turning reboot or undocking/docking again. Usually a reboot resolves the issue, but not now: finally it doesn't work even after rebooting. If I plug it (or another display) via D-SUB, it will work. The monitor's DVI definitely in excellent condition.
It happend several times previously with various drivers and BIOS versions, better with one BIOS version and worse with another. Now I have the latest BIOS and latest NVidia driver.
    Please, help!!!!
