NVIDIA Vision 2 3D Issues Qosmio 875

Its been 4 days since I purchased my Qosmio X875-7290 and 3D first worked out of the box and set up was a breeze. 2 days ago the 3D started to not display correctly producing a distorted 3D image which looks like 3 images converging into one. It seems like it wants to do the 3D render but can't finish it? Shutters in glasses are working and they are charged. Green light on notebook active. Have search multiple forums with no success. Unplugging and plugging the glasses in using USB was temp fixing the issue, but now nothing works. Can't even complete set up because the 3d images are no longer clear. Can see both green triangle and blue circle overlapped. Are the glasses defective or is it the notebook? Someone help

Did you follow Mod's instro by re-installing the "original" video driver from the provided driver link, as that latest driver from nvidia unfortunately appears to be  unsupported for the laptop and will cause many issues like those you have described, and if you'd actually earlier updated to any nvidia driver beyond the orginal 296.31, then that is mostly likely the cause of your reported 3D woes, as the orginal video system driver seems to be the only one at this time that Toshiba supports for 3D Playback for Blu-ray disks.

  • NVIDIA display driver for Qosmio X300-156

Aight guys, Im really getting frustrated with this
Im clueless about what version of the drivers for my GeForce9800M I should use.
I already tried to use the recommended drivers from Toshiba website at:
    http://pt.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=PT
Needless to say they are outdated as hell, plus, games such as Skyrim for example, give me quite some problems, such as flickering shadows and not being able to alt-tab from the game.
If I use the most recent drivers from Nvidia website, those problems are fixed, but instead, I get huge frame rate issues
The worst thing is, before being forced to format my computer (ages ago) I could run Skyrim without any problems at all ~ I just cant remember the bloody version of the drivers I was using.
I would be really grateful for any useful information you could provide =P

Kay! Took me forever, but I bloody found it ~ !
If you guys are having the same issues, use the following drivers:
    http://forums.laptopvideo2go.com/topic/26984-toshiba-qosmio-triple-hybrid-sli/
Working great with those, make sure you follow his guide ~

  • Non NVidia graphics card issues with Adobe and Mountain Lion

It took me a while to figure it out, but now I am certain. If using a Mac with a non nvidia graphics card there will be issues in Mountain Lion while using Adobe products. I tested this with Illustrator CS6 for over a year on 5 different Mac computers.
    Here is what happens
As soon as I open Illustrator on a Mac without a NVidia graphics card and I attend to apply an shadow effect, Illustrator crashes. If I do this procedure on a Mac with a NVidia inside, all works well.
I tested this on the following Macs
MacBook Pro (Early 2009) with NVidia 9600M GT - it works
MacBook Pro (Early 2011) with Radeon 6750M - doesn't work
Mac Pro (Early 2009) with Radeo HD 5770 - doesn't work
The same Mac Pro (Early 2009) with NVidia GT120 - it works
MacBook Air (Mid 2012) with Intel HD 4000 - doesn't work
iMac (Late 2012) with NVidia 680MX - it works
Since I owned all these Macs, I could test it several times with different kind of software updates. 10.8, 10.8.1, 10.8.2 and 10.8.3 did deliver the same result. Everytime the same result.
Already got in touch with Adobe
With Illustrator CS5 it worked like a charme, so I assumed it could be an Adobe issue. But Adobe support told me, it's Apple's fault since 10.8 uses different processes for the graphics performance.
What can be done, to resolve this issue? I cannot buy only Macs with NVidia inside, since the small portable front of Macs is only coming with Intel graphics cards. And is there anybody out there, having this issue? I cannot be the only one, using shadows in Illustrator.

A typical response.  IMO it's most likely a combination of Adobe's reluctance to fix the issue combined with Apple's desire for advancement and change.  I've personally experienced several things that've become broken owing to Apple changing fundamental aspects of the OS, and the developers of the third-party software in question have either never fixed their software, or are taking their sweet time.  WireTap Studio and Snapz Pro from Ambrosia are a case in point, though they eventually fixed Snapz Pro.  Eventually…
Frankly, good luck getting either side to do anything about this.  Your best bet is probably getting in touch with AppleCare and seeing if you can get this escalated to Engineering, but I wouldn't hold your breath for a fix from either party.  Or perhaps one of the Apple mailing lists will prove useful.

  • I can't see my photos opened with CS6 - Help with Nvidia GeForce GT issues?

I just bought a new Toshiba Satellite P855-335 laptop running Windows 8 with a Nvidia GeForce GT 640M video card, but I am only able to open my photos when I disable the Graphics Processor from within CS6 Preferences.  When the check is active, I see a black screen and the photo is shown only in the Navigator. Is really anoying to have a useles yet powerful video card for my photo editing. My guess is that I am still able to work with my photos because the integrated intel HDGraphics400 video card jumps in when I disable the GPU within photoshop.
What I have done so far:
1.- Updated to the latest driver for my set up.  I went to Toshiba website and latest driver was already active. Version 305.46 dated July 2012
2.- I called Nvidia and tried unsuccesfully to install a newer driver (310.90) because is not compatible with my card, they also suggested to install an older driver 304.709 but the operating system just did not want to update to an older driver
3.- I went to Photoshop help and followed instructions and none seemed to work:
3.1. made sure I had latest version of Photoshop CS6 Extended version 13.0.1 x64
3.2.- Set GPU settings to basic
3.3. Reset preferences (Crt+shift+alt) while starting photoshop
3.4. Checked Cache levels to 4
Maybe the biggest and unacceptable issue is that the reported NIvidia cards tested with Photosho CS6 doesnt include the 600 Series. It is quite annoying because all the other series are reported: nVidia GeForce 8000, 9000, 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 series
    any ideas to help?

Unfortunately, it seems that Toahiba has not improved their driver releases. As they repackage the nVidia drivers, a straight nVidia driver will seldom install properly. I had a Toshiba Satellite (biggest, baddest in its day), and it never got a video driver update. No nVidia drivers would install. I found this Web site, and for the five years that I used that laptop, it rewrapped every new nVidia driver, to install on the Toshiba: http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/drivers.
Predicated on a similar Toshiba thread, I checked for that old Satellite, and Toshiba had not issued a new one, four years later - so their one driver was about 9 years old at that point.
    Good luck,

Random reboots about twice a week.
Freeview randomly switches to menu view with a red banner warning that there is no broadband. This banner is only on for a few seconds. This has only started during the last software update.
Samsung TV will now not recognise the HDMI output without toggling through the AV inputs. Prior to the last couple of software updates you could get round this by switching the vision box on prior to the TV. On the classic software it didn't matter what was switched on first, I could immediately view vision through HDMI. (I'd be interested if anyone else is experiencing this or whether it is just a shortcoming with my TV)

  • MacBook Air/nvidia GeForce9400M/driver issue  font installation fails on xp

xp sp3 on a MacBook Air (bought 04-2009, 2x 1,86 GHz, 128 GB SSD) fails to install otf type fonts with an error message. Also Adobe Photoshop 10 (CS3) will crash upon trying to insert writing into a jpeg, tif, psd etc.
Source of problem: The nvidia graphic driver needs some more memory allocation than xp expects.
Remedy: open the registry editor (START>RUN>regedit)
    navigate to the following key:
    HKEYLOCALMACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SessionManager\MemoryManagement
    add a new REG_DWORD Value
change the name of the value to
    SessionImageSize
    set its value (decimal) to
    20
    reboot
-- this problem would only seem to affect xp sp3 systems with nvidia graphics
-- be sure to backup your registry before changing it and
be sure to know what you are doing before editing the registry
Apparently this problem has been recognized by nvidia and implemented in their latest driver release. This is not suited, however, for Apple products, since they have further customized the nvidia driver (and apparently NOT included this fix!).
The fix will resolve the problems mentioned above with installing otf type fonts and inserting writing into pics in photoshop. Photoshop, however, continues to crash upon exiting, an issue not yet resolved.

    Hi and welocme to Discussions,
use the SafeBoot options of XP as described here http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B315222&x=10&y=11
Use Safe Mode (=Minimal) to startup XP with a minimal set of drivers and from there uninstall the not-working Nvidia drivers.
The reinstall the drivers that worked.
You might wanna tryout if 'Last Known Good Configuration' works.

  • W530 Nvidia 2100m Projector Issues

    Hi,
I am having problems when connecting to projectors. For some projectors, it only allows me to connect to them when I choose "only projector" mode, not extended or duplicate. Even when I can connect, videos often are unplayable because intense video artefacting occurs. I just purchased a DLP projector and the projector will not display any picture no matter the settings. I've tried chaning both the nvidia settings and the settings through windows. My projector's name will come up in both dialogues but the projector will not output any picture.
Any ideas on what's going on here?
    Best,

    bluesupremacist wrote:
Any type of advice here? Being able to use projectors for presentations is essential for my work.
I know the people on these forums are most likely not Lenovo employees, so anyone with some honest advice would be appreciated. I've read of these problems going back to 2011 with the w520, and it seems Lenovo never fixed the issue.
Should I honestly just give up on Lenovo? It seems that these machines are fatally flawed and the company doesn't act to do anything about it.
The W520 always worked.  But only when the BIOS Display setting was set to Discrete.
The W530 "should" work on Optimus or Discrete.  The NVIDIA GPU drives the external connections.
If you have tried more than one VGA cable and more than one external display type, then I think you have done all you can do from a troubleshooting perspective.  It should just work.

  • W540 Thinkpad Nvidia Quadro K1100 Issue

I bought a new W540 Laptop, I disabled Intel Graphics card and I tried to open NVIDIA control panel.
It gives me Error NVIDIA Display settings are not avilable. you are not currnently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU.
I tried to uninstall and install the driver agian. I check dvice manager and the driver is installed proberlly.
Any advise how to solve this issue.
    Thank you

You can't actually disable the Intel graphics. The display is always driven by Intel graphics, and the Quadro just renders frames when it is on, sending them to the Intel graphics to display them.

  • MBP Screen goes black and then restores.  NVIDIA graphics card issue?

    I've got a mid-2007 MBP, 2.4 GHz, 4 GB RAM, running 10.6.2.
Over the past couple of days I am having random losses of video screen. I will be on a webpage, doing nothing with it, and the screen will go momentarily black. It normally lasts for a few seconds, then restores. Nothing I do seems to affect the blacking out or the restoration.
I have the NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT graphics card.
Any suggestions / input on whether I am experiencing the failure? FWIW, computer is still under Applecare.
    Thanks

    See this KB article:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2377
I have similar issues with my MBP. However there is also a widespread issue on the forums in which the trackpad and keyboard stops responding, and it may be difficult to tell if the problem is loss of video or loss of input ability when the display goes to sleep automatically. I'm currently in this boat. I'm not quite sure if I have a video problem of if this is the issue with the trackpad/keyboard connection.
The video card issue appears that apple will pay for out of warranty but they are not addressing the widespread problem with trackpad and keyboard loss of function and if you are out of warranty you are out of luck.

  • Going from Vision 8.2 to Vision 2011 issues

    Hi,
I have been updating a VI wrote with Vision8.2 to the 2011 version.  My main issues so far were a number of broken VI's due to different datatypes connected together- use of the "IMAQ image cluster to image datatype" & "IMAQ image datatype to image cluster" sub VI's appeared to solve this problem, and the main program was able to run without errors.
However, when using the "IMAQ select rectangle" part of this VI, no image appears on the screen, so there is no rectangle to select...  This vi is part of a larger main VI with other "IMAQ select rectangle" functions in it, that appear to work ok (An image appears)
I have never used NI Vision before, and have to debug this quite complex VI without really knowing anything about it (i've just had training in LabVIEW the main program) so if anyone has any ideas why an image isn't showing up that would be great.
Attached is the VI and a picture of it
Also there's a sub VI called "ROI select" contained with it so i'll include that as well
    Regards,

    Hello,
Thank you for submitting this enquiry, my name is David and I am an Applications Engineer at National Instruments.
It seems slightly strange that you are using other instances of this VI and they work, this would indicate to me that the reference that the image is receiving is invalid. I have tried to run the VI and created a probe on the input to the IMAQ Select Rectangle VI and noticed that there is no image being inputted. This now implies that the issue is not with the VI itself but the way in which you are creating the IMAQ image. Currently it's hard for me to tell why this might be the case as I do not know what is happening within your DLLs but if I were you I would back track a little and just ensure that the image is being inputted at each point correctly and you are able to see the image on the other side.
I hope this is useful to you.
    Kind Regards

  • NVidia GeForce4Ti Performance Issues

It is my understanding that there is an issue with the nVidia Drivers included in the 10.4.3 that affects frame rates in several games, in my case World of WarCraft. I have been told that a new version of the driver that fixes this issue is currently under development.
Does anyone know of any workarounds for this issue? Or have any update as to the progress being made to resolve the issue?
    Thank you.
    PowerMac G4 Quicksilver Dual 1GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.3)

Im using a powerbook G4 with 1.25g of ram and NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200 graphics card with 64MB DDR memory. Now World of Warcraft being the only game i play i was expection top quality from this powerbook since the game requires a lot of hardare on my side. im getting decent frame rates. Not terrible, but there is DEFINATLY major room for improvment. Sometimes i get like 2-3 Frams per sec. And i average about 15 regularly. Thats not what i should be getting with a top name brand computer/graphics card. and 1.25 gigs of ram. People said mac and nvidia are aware of this and working on an update....so WHATS THE DEAL??

  • Nvidia 32bit driver issue when starting steam

When ever I start steam I get this error.
OpenGL GLX context is not using direct rendering, which may cause performance problems.
    For more information visit https://support.steampowered.com/kb_art … -EYZB-7457.
I decided to run it from terminal to see what was happening when it was starting and I got this.
libGL error: unable to load driver: swrast_dri.so
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
This lead me to looking through loads of forums and it seems to be that swrast is some kind of fallback driver, so I installing every 32bit library for my graphics card(Nvidia gtx 970) and the error still perists.
then looked at some more forums and they and the post i found said it was a path issue and that i need to add the path to a config file in this folder /etc/ld.so.conf.d the config file taked about in the post wasnt there but there was a config file which i checked and it had the correct path.
Also when i use the glxinfo command I get:
    glxinfo
    name of display: :0
    display: :0  screen: 0
    direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
    server glx version string: 1.4
But when i use the 32bit version I get:
    glxinfo32
    name of display: :0
libGL error: No matching fbConfigs or visuals found
libGL error: failed to load driver: swrast
    display: :0  screen: 0
direct rendering: No (If you want to find out why, try setting LIBGL_DEBUG=verbose)
server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
    server glx version string: 1.4
Need any more information just ask.
Edit: decided to give up and reinstall.

Vista Ultimate 64-bit recognizes 8 cores. 32-bit recognizes one physical cpu.
I've had very little trouble in two years. And now I do like Windows 7 but also eager for the RC.
I've been using the latest Nvidia. There is a method to the madness of how to uninstall/delete and install graphics drivers, or madness in the method. The W7 drivers are easier.
Nope. Something else. More sensitive to disk errors. You aren't running a program to boost fans. Something.
And some AV software is more prone to causing trouble. But all you need is a good AV/malware program, and even Norton AV 2009 is acceptable, or Avast or one of the others.

  • Nvidia driver setup issues

I just got home with a new MSI 6600GT (AGP) that I picked up cheap, I've installed the card, that went fine. The computer booted fine so I figured I put it in the right slot (;)) and I wasn't sure how the Nvidia drivers worked so I pacman -R'd them and reinstalled. That went fine, then I started X and ran glxgears and it sat at about 900 fps My FX5200 smashed that...
I figured I did something wrong so I checked the symlinks in /usr/lib, they're all fine. X.org is using the nvidia driver and all the modules are correct in xorg.conf cause I was using an nvidia card before without drama. So I figured I'd give Enemy Territory a go cause a lot of people say you can't use glxgears to benchmark a card. It was barely playable in 800x600...
I guess I've done something wrong somewhere but I can't find where. I've followed the wiki instructions etc. Here's some output from commands that should prove helpful:

I'm at a loss, hopefully I've missed something stupid. Do these cards need power from somewhere or does the AGP slot supply enough? The instructions didn't say anything about a power connector cable thing but it came with one. I didn't find it until after I had the card installed and case put back together but I pulled the side off quickly and couldn't see anywhere it'd hook up to... would this be the problem?
    Thanks for any help

I think I remember it saying something on one of the sites about it being plugged in the top right hand side of the card if I remember right. Sorry I'm not of more help, but I do not own a 6600gt.
EDIT: Heres a picture that I found that might be where it plugs in (labeled that way anyways):

  • GT70 (Any 7xx series nVidia card) Graphic Issues?

I just purchased the GT70-2OC with the nVidia GTX 770M.
So far as it is a gaming laptop, obviously I want to play games on it. I have NFS: Most Wanted 2012, WoW, Diablo 3, and a few other games by different companies installed.
I am quite frustrated as this brand new gaming system is completely incapable of rendering graphics properly. Attached below are the screenshots that display the graphic dysfunctions. I get long sticks of faulty rendered graphics across the screen by the handful at a time. The photos below will better justify my explanation.
To solve the issue, I tried turning off nVidia's PhysX, I tried rendering all games in Direct X 9 API mode, I disabled Intel's HD graphic optimizer functions in Intel's Video enhancing software, and I am running HWMonitor to make sure I'm not spiking due to heat/overheating the GPU. So far, no luck.
In addition to all of this I had similar issues in the past and changed the video driver over from the video card board manufacturer driver to the video card chipset manufacturer driver ie: from MSi 770M driver to nVidia 770M driver. However MSi has disabled this option as there is extra coding in the MSi driver that associate the card function to this laptop that are crucial. I highly believe that the video driver is at fault.
Any similar issues out there? Or any solutions?

    Dear Ares_Constantinou:
Sorry to let you feel bad on this issue, I think it's the problem from Graphics card, more like GPU or graphics memory overclocked issue, so if you did not overclock it, update a new driver and try to use Graphics tool "Afterburner" from MSI VGA product line download website to down clock it.
Every gaming notebooks have the possibility to get this issue, I think MSI and the place you purchased will more than happy to help you to switch a new graphics or even to change a new one, next time once you have this kind of issue, just need to know it's from Graphics GPU/Memory.
Sorry for the inconvenience and wish you enjoy your game time, please keep your confidence on MSI, we keep our gaming notebooks for top gamers and will try to provide better service for you.

  • MBP nvidia(??) issue but it's functional (kind of)

I own a MBP a1261 early 2008 and about a month ago the following problem appeared.
After powering it on it wouldn't boot up normally, it was stuck at the logo screen. I thought it might be the nvidia issue, but yesterday after about an hour that I had it turned on it went to sleep. When I woke it up the volume and keyboard brightness buttons where working. Also I managed to start the iTunes through the keyboard buttons and I was stunned when the music started. I thought it was dead. On the screen was still the logo screen even when I woke it up.
In order to get it to the nearest authorized service I have to pay a lot of money and I am not willing to do so if it's the nvidia issue.
So my question is: Is there any chance that it might not be the nvidia issue, so I can repair it with less money than the 700+ Euros they are asking for this??

its not that noone cares its that anything related to the proximity sensor has been beaten to death and frankly there is issues with it that may or may not be software related could be hardware related apple said they fixed it and they didnt fix it
