NW 7.3 EhP1 for SLD

Hi everyone
I am looking into upgrading our SLD from 7.30 to 7.31 SPS 11; but I do not see any documentation on that. Did anyone do this? What are the specific preparation and post steps for SLD?

Hi Nader,
You need to do the following things.
1. If the SLD is connected to PI system , then there will be no activity regarding to PI system.(such as PI transports , Integration Builder )
2. SLD upgrade is similar to any java system upgrade.
After upgrade , you need to check couple of transaction regarding PI ,sldcheck , sxmb_ifr , IB(only if PI is added to the SLD and CTS+)
Also update the CR Content and CIM Model if required.
All the pre and post activities will be similar to java system.

Please let me know the steps I followed is right:
1. http://<host>:50000/sld/ -> Set up the SLD and it started running.
2.http://<host>:50000/sld/fun -> Enabled the "CM services","NWDI using CMS" and NWDI using CM services - recommended","SLD" and "service Registry".
3. http://<host>:50000/nwa -> configuration->scenarios->Config Wizard
and tried to run the "DI CMS - create application skeleton" but I am getting error as
"Error: unknown exception: Cannot find software component release (Vendor/Name/Release valenet.net/MYCOMPONENTS/1.0) in CMS. UpdateCMS Server or/and check SLD component content.Error: unknown exception: Cannot find software component release (Vendor/Name/Release valenet.net/MYCOMPONENTS/1.0) in CMS. UpdateCMS Server or/and check SLD component content."
same error I am getting when running "Integration of MII with existing NWDI".
I guess the information filled in the create track is wrong. Can any one tell me the step I followed is right and also where can I get the information about the Software Components?

How to deploy BI on EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1

i have installed SAP NetWeaver 7.01 SR1 SP3 ABAP Trial Version at home on vista 32 bits.
it's running well...
next i have installed EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - Preview Version
and follow this guide :

i create my report with the query designer,
and i see my bi report with transaction RSRT and ABAP WEB tab ( http://localhost:80000)
it's running well....whaooouuu !!!!
Now i'm lost, i would like to deploy my bi report on the portal, but i don't know what i must do.
( and when i try with the query designer or rsrt + java web i have a error message )
- perhaps create an user communication between portal/bi abap where ?
- how to deploy bi java on portal (EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1)
by the way, i can't find the bi post install template in the configuration wizard on the the portal...

How to change host name for SLD

How is possible to change host name of SLD configuration?
I want to change my portal host name used for SLD configuration from aaa.bbb.net to aaa.ccc.net.

Hi,
you can change it in System Landscape directory.
Go to the http:yourportal.com:50000/sld
then click on the Landscape and update the new host name.

I am in the process of downloading software for PI7.1 including EHP1. But I identified below two links in service market place. Which is one is the correct link for getting combined pack of PI 7.1 including EHP1 for fresh installation?

Where is the Content-Update for SLD?

Hello SDN!
where I can find the Content-Patch for SLD?
In documentation I found: the following path Support Packages ->SAP->Technology Componennts-SAP-Masterdata for SLD.
But there is no such a path in SMP. There is a Path:
Support Packages and Patches -> Entry by Application Group-> SAP Technology Components-> SAP CR CONTENT-> SAP MASTER DATA FOR SLD 2.0. But under this link I found only some ZIP's from 2007 ????
If I should take the SAP CR Content - what should I take for my NW 7.01 - SLD from 2009 or earlier?

Why to you want to update CR If you have latest anyway? If there is latest available at later date then just go for the delta.

Server Log for SLD / IR / ID

hi,
While in SLD you can keep track of user activity using the 'server log' link. This basically shows you who logged in and what function were performed.
Wanted to find out if there is a similar log for repository and directory as well in XI. If so - how can i execute it and display the log.
Is there a similar version of error log for SLD / IR / ID.

IDOC setup for SLD

Dear XI experts,
I woule like to ask you when I want to do the PI setup for IDOC sending and receiving in the SLD, as to what steps I have to take for this. I had done the setup and chosen ABAP as a choice in the Technical and Business system, however, I am not clear where I should define the Integration server to be able to choose this when I create a Technical and Business system and do the assignment of the Integration server.
Perhaps I need to do step by step the SLD setup for IDOC sending and receiving from SAP Backend and viceversa to find what I am missing.

Our Client is plannig to implement SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NW PI 7.3 & SAP Enterprise Portal 7.3.I have been asked to find out any component version dependencies or pre-requisites for these 2 SAP products.I am not getting it from anywhere.If anyone has any information please do reply me back.
Note : Currently there is no PI,EP system in our landscape.

EHP1 for ecc 6.0

guys,
i am trying to find the release notes for ehp1 for ecc 6.0 but cant find them. The marketplace contains only the links to ehp2, 3 and 4. Does this mean there was never an ehp1 for ecc 6.0 or are all the functionalities included in ehp2 now ?? please advise. thanks

Each Enhancement Package is cumulative, meaning EnhP 2 will contain the enhancements of 1 and EnhP 4 will contain the enhancements from 3, 2 and 1 etc
I recall SAP mentioning something about 1 being discontinued but I may stand corrected. Use the latest as already mentioned.

Error CIM_ERR_FAILED - Configure the integration server for sld

I´m running the Configuration Wizard SLD in "PI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration for the PI Usage". In step 33/142 Configure the integration server for sld, I got following error:
Error: CIM_ERR_FAILED: Qualifier MAX(1) violated for property reference SAP_XIIntegrationServerLogicalIdentity.SameElement

The version is 7.0. I skip this step and finished with sucess. No run the step:
PI_00_This wizard will execute Postinstall steps of technical configuration for the PI Usage Cancelled

No HTTP port defined in Exchange Profile for sld

Hi all,
During the BI and portal connectivity, we successfully executed the template installer, however, we have not yet imported the abap and related sp from SAP note.
After successful execution of template installer or CTC, we ran the supportdesk tool resolved errors and are left behind with two errors as below.
ERROR 1. RED BI Mastersystem
Message:
Error while connecting to BI mastersystem via RFC: Checks related to ABAP information cannot be executed because an outdated version of function module RSPOR_SETUP_CHECK is implemented. Please implement the recent version of note 937697.
Solution:
Check connection properties in Portal Systemlandscape for the property category 'Connector' (Systemlandscape/SAP_BW)
Issue: Now looking at connector properties that are set by CTC are complete and set. Connection Test for both Connector and SAP Web AS Connection are successful, only ITS is neither setup by template nor by us. Please suggest how to resolve this.
ERROR 2. RED Error in Check Class: com.sap.ip.bi.supportdesk.checks.impl.MultipleUserMappingCheck
(Error during retrieval of inverse user mapping for ABAP user 'null': No backend user ID provided for inverse user mapping. com.sapportals.portal.prt.runtime.PortalRuntimeException:...)
Looking at log file server<#>/log/defaultTrace.trc it points the following error:

Issue: Checking we find that ICM is running with correct dns and port 8000 (http), only smtp is holding port 0. Where do we maintain http port for sld? Kindly suggest.
Finally the support desk tool is leaving the following checks with status UNDEFINED, would this impact the connectivity?
1.   UNDEFINED Deployed Components
2.   UNDEFINED Export check (PDF lib, ADS, ...)
3.   UNDEFINED Synchronized Clocks on WebAS Java and ABAP
4.   UNDEFINED URLs Prefixes Customized on Both J2EE and ABAP Side
5.   UNDEFINED WebAS ABAP Certificate and Login Modules Configuration
6.   UNDEFINED WebAS ABAP Settings
Looking at support desk tool and RSPOR_SETUP I notice the errors in RSPOR_SETUP appear green in support desktool such as User mapping (step 12) appears green in support desktool but red in RSPOR_SETUP.

Hi,
If Support desk tool is showing some of the components undefined, than there may be posisbility that your ABAP BI and BI JAVA patch may not in sync.
ABAP BI and BI JAVA works only with specific patch set combinations. I will suggest that please refer to below note and correct the patch level, if required. Once the patch level is corrected, please run the support desk tool again, you will see new picture in support desk tool.

as Siva already mentioned - just to add the screen - if you enter service.sap.com/swdc and drill down to download the EHP support package for mobile, you get the following warning right at the top:
Important Note:
SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 contains changes mainly targeted for use by the mobile applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 and SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0. Therefore SAP recommends to install SAP enhancement package 1 for SAP NetWeaver Mobile 7.1 only if you want to use one of the corresponding applications SAP Mobile Defense & Security 1.6 or SAP Mobile Direct Store Delivery 4.0.
Due to that, you should go with usual MI7.1 stack.

I don't have DVDs. I can only download from the SAP Software Distribution Center and there I can find 51036014 NW CE 7.11 Appl., Dev.WP 32bit, Doc. 1 of 6.
In the Requirements for the training SAP wrote we have to install SAP EHP1 for NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP4 and Oracle 10.2 or SQL-Server 2005.
If I look to the downloaded 51036014 kit I find the following directories:
