NW CE71 SR5 and SR3 + stack0x

Hi,
I'm looking at Marketplace and found new SR5 version and stack05/stack06 availables.
I need to install SR5 but I have SR3 with stack04 installed.
I need to know if SR5 is the same that SR3 + stack06 or I have to uninstall SR3 and install SR5.

Hi,
That SR5 is just an installation of NetWeaver CE Support Package 5. If you have updated to SP stack 6 your system is actually newer than the download.
In CE releases SR stands for "Service Release" and the number is the support package stack that is installed. Once you have updated you can forget about this number (7.10 SR3 after installed SP06 is acuatlly 7.10 SP6).

Hi all.
I have downloaded the NW CE71 SR5 trial version for Java EE from SDN. I am being prompted to point to the SAP System JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Archive. I have downloaded JDK from SUN's website and when I try to point to that path its not taking it. Someone please tell me where to download the required policy files (JCE Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy File for JDK vendor SAP AG and JDK version 5.1) from? And I do not have an S-user id.

You need to download the JCE policy file from java.sun.com
Go to this link: http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index_jdk5.jsp and at the bottom on the page, in the "Other Downloads" section, the first item is Java Cryptography Extension (JCE) Unlimited Strength Jurisdiction Policy Files 5.0.
Click on the Download button and Continue on the next page to get the file.

Difference between ECC6.0SR2 and SR3

Hi experts,
Could you please tell me what's the difference between ECC6.0SR2 and SR3?
Is the difference just Support Package level after installation?
And how can I check whether my ECC6.0 is SR2 or SR3?
I checked component version in system status from system memu in SAPGUI.
The component version is "SAP ECC 6.0". I could not get the SR level by
t-cd slicense and SM51.

Go a step further: Click at the magnifying glass; you will see SP level of SAP_BASIS and others.

How to Copy a Non-unicode ECC 6.0 SR3 to WIN2008 and MSSQL2008

Good morning,
how can I make a homogeneous system copy of my NON-UNICODE ECC 6.0 (Nw 7.0 SR3) to a new machine running Windows Server 2008 and MSSQL 2008?
According to OSS note 1152240 to install SR3 on SQL2008 I have to generate and use a "SR3 modified installation master DVD".
My problem is that SR3 installation disk doesn't allow non-unicode installations.
Can I use SR2 installation disk, and modify it the some way I should do with SR3 installation disk?
Note 1054740 says "SAP products prior to NetWeaver 7.0 SR3 are not supported on Windows Server 2008", but I would
not run the SR2 system, just perform the installation and copy my "SR3 database" back. This should not be a problem as the
diference between SR2 and SR3 is at support package level. Is this correct?
Can the SR2 installation disk be changed in the some way of the SR3 disk, as described on note 1152240, and be used with
SQL2008?
Is there any way to move non-unicode ECC 6.0 to WIN2008 + SQL2008?

Hi,
If you are copying you can create a NON Unicode system, The installation for NEW systems is only permited for Unicode but if you are using SAPInst for copying your system, then it will ask if you are copying an Unicode system or not and will left it Non Unicode in the Target. So you could copy your system with no problem I´m pretty sure about this because we are running some copies (8 systems) and we have non unicode systems and we are using SR3 master DVD.
Just do the chages to the master DVD so you could use it on Win2008

I am trying to learn ESOA.
For this I have installed CE 7.1 SR5 and NWDS.
How could I view the Enterprise service repository?.
For the SR3, SDN had the ESR as a separate download item but now it is not available.
What has to be done for the CE SR5.

Finding hard time to install SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR5 on Vista

Hello Every body,
I am trying to install NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR5 and i getting issues can any body tell me can i install NetWeaver CE 7.1 SR5 on Vista OS???

You can find PAM for CE 7.1 in www.service.sap.com
And in that he did not talk about vista corresponding to SR5 and
EHP1 is compatible for vista..

IMovie 08, Sony HD camcorder and a Power PC G5

I'm considering buying an HD Sony camcorder. My husband insists on the HD. I've got a powerpc G5, 2.0 Ghz, 1Gb Ram, and iMovie 08. Which camcorder should we choose? I keep hearing negative things about the HDR-SR5 and models like it when trying to download and edit in iMovie 08. Should we pick another brand camcorder?

When you wrote "..I'm considering buying an HD Sony camcorder.." I'm not sure if you mean Hard Disc or High Definition.
The Sony HDR-SR5 is a hard disc camcorder. It records in AVCHD format, which can NOT be handled - as multithx mentioned, above - by a PowerPC Mac unless you download and install an extra program called "Voltaic" (..click on that blue link..) to 'unscramble' the AVCHD format video into a format which can be edited in iMovie.
So if you want to buy a Hard Disc camcorder, you need to make sure that it doesn't record in AVCHD format ..or you need to use that Voltaic program, which may be a bit cumbersome, and I don't think it performs well with rapidly-moving things, such as a train passing by, or cars whizzing past, etc.
If you want to use a High Definition camcorder, I'd suggest that you get one which records in 'HDV' format. Your G5 may just about be able to import hi-def HDV straight into iMovie in 'real time' ..otherwise there may be a bit of a lag during import, with imports taking perhaps twice as long as the actual video footage.
NOTE: Hard Disc is usually abbreviated to HDD (Hard Disc Drive), and High Definition is usually shown as HD.

CAD Agent blinks in and out of Supervisor Desktop

Got a problem that started yesterday. Running UCCX 7.0(1)sr5 and I've got this agent that comes and goes from the supervisors desktops. Cadence is about every 2 seconds she appears then disappears.
Any ideas?

Cisco Agent Desktop agent appears and disappears from the Cisco Supervisor Desktop.
Intermittently Agent begins to disappear and appear on the Supervisor Desktop under Team Agent state Report.
Solution
This problem is caused when multiple threads do not exit correctly under Agent desktop PC. When the CHAT communication on TCP Port 59000 and 59020 between Client and Server has been lost due to network interruption/outage. CAD is unable to recover from this and creates multiple Agent.exe instances.
Exit out affected Cisco Agent Desktop application and launch CAD again.

Import from Sony HDR-SR5?

i love imovie and always use it with my Sony HDR-SR5 and it works seamlessly, but today whenever i tried to import my videos to my computer it would "unexpectedly" close and i tired it multiple times, and reported it to apple. Any suggestions?
Please help!

I'm having the same problem with certain clips imported from my Sony HDR-SR5. While importing certain clips, iMovie "unexpectedly quits". Sometimes I can import those same clips that shut down iMovie, but when they do import successfully, they are very jittery.
Any solutions? Is it iMovie or the camera?

IPCC (GILA) Wallboard w/ UCCX 7.01 SR5?

We're planning a new deployment of UCCX 7.01 SR5, and wanted to confirm if anybody out there is using the GILA Wallboard? The latest release here
seems to be dated 2008-03-04.
I found a previous thread about upgrade problems (https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3062163) so just wanted to see if anybody was still using it? Or is there a newer opensource web based wallboard?

Required SCA files NWDI on CE71 SP5

I installed CE 7.1 SP5, i want to install the NWDI on this , Normally for NW04s we need DI_DTR,DI_CBS,DI_CMS and DI_BUILDT SCA's for setting NWDI. But i was not able to find these SCA files for CE71 SP5. I found only BUILDT SCA file for CE71 SP5 but not others.Can some one point me to the location where i can download these SCA's to set up NWDI on CE71 server and also if any documentation to set up nwdi on ce71,I think it should be same as on nw04s.

You can't to install NWDI on NetWeaver CE 7.1, it will available on CE EHP1, for now you can use NWDI on NW 7.0 (2004 S). See this document to setup your environment to CE.

UCCX CAD,CSD and CDA Versions

Does anyone know of a document which lists the CAD, CSD and CDA versions which are downloaded by default from UCCX. My UCCX version will 7.0(1) SR5, and I'm trying to determine this detail in advance of the install to satisfy the customers desktop SOE requirements. I don't think the desktop 'versions' are in synch with the UCCX app release version, hence the question..

They're listed under CAD/CAD-BE/CSD Client Version on the second page for whichever version you are looking at. There's a new 'feature' in 8.0 and above where the version numbers will now apparently match...

Question on differences in development of webdynpro in ce 71 to nw04s

A webdynpro developed in NWDS 7.0 SP15 which runs on NW04S SP15 ,will this be able to run in CE 7.1 without any changes.Can I import the project file (of webdynpro developed in NWDS 7.0 sp15 )to CE7.1 SR5 and deploy it and run in CE7.1 without any changes.If not what are the changes needed to run it on CE71.

There are changes in Netweaver 7.1
1. Interface controller is abstract and component controller implements interface controller
2 also there is addition on window controller implementing interfaceview which is also abstract
when you import application from NW04S to NWDS CE 7.1 . Repair application first , then you have to migrate it using cheat sheet too . Right click on wendynpro component and select migrate , cheat sheet window will open and u can follow the instructuions there.
