NW04 liscense key renew

Hello,
My sneak preview SAP NW04 ABAP will be expired within next a few days. I used to sent my hardware key to SAP try to get renew liscense key but the return email still give me the old liscense key. How do I renew the liscense key for my NW04 ABAP sneak preview? For previous version, I just sent my hardware key to SAP and the return email will give me the new liscense key. Is this one has been changed? Any ideal?
Thanks,

Hi..
Send the hardware key to SAP with different e-mail id( the one u havnt used for getting license key previously) , u will get new liscense key

  • Minimum Key Renewal Time

    Hello
I'm using a WRVS4400N 802.11n wireless router with WPA2-PSK security. I would like to change the default key renewal time of 3600 seconds to something shorter (preferably 600 seconds), but I want to avoid connection problems. Are there any guidelines to setting the key renewal time?
I am using a maximum-entropy password made up of 63 printable ASCII characters, no SSID broadcast, MAC address control and a static IP for the (only) wireless client (which connects to a proxy server through an SSH tunnel). With the availability of programs like aircrack-np, kismet, etc. I would like to renew the encryption key as often as possible without causing any connection problems. With the safeguards already in place, I would imagine that changing the key every 10 minutes would do the trick. Does anyone here have any guidance on key renewal times?
    Thanks!
    S

Thanks for the great info...actually, I am getting drops occasionally but I haven't really timed them. I think it could quite possibly be hourly, so I'll check more carefully. I did experiment with a 1200 sec key renewal time once, and I noticed that it did drop more frequently, so I changed it back (and posted this thread).
For now, I will take your advice and leave the key renewal at 3600 sec. I have also upgraded the firmware a number of times since I purchased this Wireless-N router, but I've never configured it from scratch afterwards! I will do this and see if my dropped connections go away. I never had this problem until I bought this new computer for the kitchen which has a built-in wireless card. (Dell XPS 1). Before, I was using a Sony VAIO with a Linksys WPC4400N PCMCIA wireless adapter (which is a Linksys product match for my router), and it had no problems. I would love to find some resources to set-up this new built-in Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter - maybe it's not configured optimally for the WRVS4400N Wireless Router I'm using.
Anyway, It's not that I'm protecting anything so critical, but Linksys makes it so easy to secure wireless communications properly. I say, why not? And by looking at all of my neighbors' SSIDs, I wonder why they don't at least take some basic precautions!
You're right though, 63 printable ASCII characters hashed down to 256 binary bits is probably plenty secure enough for a password. Plus, this computer is the only wireless computer I use, and it's using a static IP on a network with a subnet range of 1-6 addresses, which are all taken by my other LAN devices. The DHCP server is disabled, and my network is monitored by software anyway, so I can see a real-time network map of devices connected to it.  I live pretty close to MIT, though, so you never know who's out there! The pseudo-random password I used is probably even stronger than you suggest, because it was generated using a Rijndael (AES) block encryption of never-repeating counter values in Cipher Block Chaining mode. Sure, maybe this is overkill, but what I love about setting up a wireless network is that you only have to configure a password once and then not worry about it!
Thanks again for the good advice, and now I'm off to upgrade my firmware again, and this time I will configure it again from scratch! Now, what was my password again?
    Best,
    Scott

  • Recovering keychain and application liscense keys from a crashed disk

My OS X partition is too corrupted to boot from or repair with disk utility. I have a windows bootcamp partion that I can boot from and the files on the OS X partion can be read from windows and copied to an external hard disk (NTFS if it makes a difference) but it's very slow to copy large amounts of data (as in days for the application folder).  I'd like to recover both my keychain and whatever liscense keys are used to tell applications that I own them.
    My plan is to
copy everything important. Including what I put above
    Reformat the OS X partition
    Reinstall Snow Leopard
transfer Keychain information from back up disk
tranfer liscense information files if they exist
    reinstall Applications
I'm not sure where the liscense information is stored or if the Keychains file and folder will actually work like this and if I'll have access.
I can try and copy important applications directly but windows doesn't recognize them as applications so I'm not sure if I'll be missing important information when I try and transfer them back.
Is this a very bad idea and should I just have a professional try and fix this?
    Thanks

  • Key renewal

What the heck is key renewal? And why does it change every 3600 seconds? Does that mean my password will change? If so how do I connect additional devices to my Wi-Fi after the 3600 seconds?

    What router?
The encryption key used between the access point and the client is renewed every 60 minutes. It doesn't mean that your passphrase changes.
The passphrase is fixed. It's pre-shared. The passphrase is used to authenticate and to negotiate the (random) encryption key. After that the encryption key is used. After the renewal period a new key is negotiated.
The group key is used for broadcasts. It has its own renewal interval.

  • License key renewal 2004s ABAP

    Dear all!
I've got a NW2004s ABAP demo system on my pc running. After the first installation I updated the license key as recommended in SAP How To Guide for License Keys of NW2004s ABAP demo systems.
Right now I have ONE license installed, running until 2006-09-05!
I like to install a license renewal before expiration of the current license. Requesting a license key on www.sap.com\technology\minisap, I received an email that my license key is still valid...
I read about huge problems after expiration of current licenses...
Is there a way to install a valid license in advance?
How can I avoid problems with my license in the next days?
    Thank you!!
    Christoph

You can not do it this much in advance.  I have been doing it on the last day of my current license and it has been working very well.  You just have to set up a reminder in your outlook to remind you.

  • Fcp liscense key

hi i have an upgrade license key from final cut studio pro 2 and am traveling and need to install the program on my new laptop. my question is if the FCP Studio 2 full version install DVD's will work with my upgrade license key or are the license keys for the FCP Studio 2 upgrade discs different?
    thanks
    adam

The Final Cut Studio Full Retail, Education, Upgrade, and Not for resale installation DVD's are all the same. The difference is the serial number. If you are upgrading then you will need a previous retail serial number in order to complete the upgrade installation.

  • License key renewal

    Hello,
I've made the usual request for a new 90-day license for my NSP, but unlike previous requests I don't get the e-mail with the new license key... has this service been suspended for some reason? I've tried providing two different e-mail accoubts, but still no reply...

  • BT Home Hub 2 - WPA key renewal timer

Does anyone know how to find out the timer which governs when the WPA transmission key gets updated? I encountered an issue with one particular laptop dropping wireles connection every 10 minutes; if I revert to no security on the home hub it works just fine. Maybe this is a client end configuration issue rather than a router one, especially as another WPA configured laptop works fine. Any ideas welcome.

Navigate to Network and Sharing Centre - you can simply click start and type network, then look for it in the results
On the left look for Manage Wireless Networks
See if you've got multiple networks that are for the same Homehub (ie BTHomeHub2-A1B2)
Right click on all bar one that are the same and remove them or remove all hub connections (if the same) and start a fresh connection.
If you opt for the latter, when the connection is made, tick the box that says save this network.
    Any joy?

  • How to install renewed feature key to cluster Ironport C170

Our email gateway use two Ironport C170 cluster, recently the feature key expired on both C170 and we are in the process of getting this feature key renewed.
I am new to this cisco ironport, I would like to know once we get this renewed feature key how can we install it on both Ironport C170. the feature currently expired is: "Centralized Management, IronPort Anti-Spam, Sophos Anti-Virus, Outbreak Filters".
After the feature key expired several changes has been made to ironport incoming content filters, because the "centralized management" feature expired these changes are made to both C170 ironport, does this have any impact on installing the renewed feature key?
    Thanks.

    Hi Rugang,
You can manually install the keys via Web UI or CLI.
In the Web UI, please log in as admin and go to :
System Administration -> Feature Keys -> Section named: Feature Activation
Paste the key string you received in the field named: Feature Key: then hit the button Submit key. You may need to accept the User Agreement. After that the system will validate the key and if everything goes well, you will have the feature ready to use.
In the CLI, please log in ad asmin and run:
    > featurekey
    then run:
    activate
then paste the string for the key you want to install
There is no need to commit changes. You can finish the featurekey command by pressing the ENTER key in your keyboard.
It would be advisable to do not make changes witht he boxes not running Centralized Management due to key expiration, but it seems you already did that. The devices will try to synchronize the settings and it is possible that you will find inconsistencies. You can use the command:
    > clustercheck
to view/fix the inconsistencies. This command/action can only be executed via CLI.
I would recommend that you save the configuration from both devices; apply the keys and save the configuration again. Run a diff (linux/unix) or windiff on the files (before and after installing the keys) to see if you find anything which requires your intervention.
As always, please contact our customer support in case you have any questions or have any issues with the whole process.
    I hope this helps.
    Regards,
    -Valter

  • How does one create product keys when developing 3rd party Addons

    HI
DOes anyone have experience in developing 3rd party addons? How do you manage liscense keys, is there a function module which can generate the key?
and buildingin a expiry date so that a customer can note hack a table entry to continue?
    Thanks
    Henry

woodwing seems to have a nice toolset to make it easier for sure... but I'm not sure that is the correct direction for
us.  As we don't want to have to submit anything to Apple.  Our needs are for internal use only and we would not be creating content for the public.
I don't follow the ePup process fully...  PDF's we can load right onto the iPad.  It's a real shame about flash not working as we can make some very slick flash content right out of indesign with little effort.  (maybe the direction should be a Flash to HTML5 converter?  Goto page commands assigned to buttons would be wonderfull if they worked but when you export the doc to PDF Acrobat complains that it is not compatible.  When we export to flash it works like a charm on a PC.
Haven't found a good gudie for bookmarks yet... and if that would give us buttons on each page to move the user back and forth through the document.

  • Computer Certificate Renewal - Failing

    Greetings,
System setup:  Server 2008 R2 with "Network Policy and Access Services" role configured to hand out wireless machine certificates to Windows 7 workstations.
This has been set up for a year and has been working well. We have a groups policy which allows for auto-enrollment and all our workstations which are in the correct OU receive a certificate when thye connect to the network.
The machine certs are good for a year.
We are now approaching the end of the first year since we implemented this system and we are starting to see some of our workstations failing to connect to the wireless network.  When we look at the certificates on the workstation we see 2 certificates
now (as opposed to the one that was there previously).  One of these is expired and one is current with an expiration date a year from now.  When we manually delete the expired certificate, we are able to connect to the wireless.
Apparently when the certificate is renewed, a new certificate is dropped down, but the old certificate is not removed.  When the machine tries to connect the old cert is found and the connection fails.
What I think should be happening is that the certs should be renewed not replaced, but I can't see anyway to enforce this.
I know that when I manually renew the certificate on the workstation I have 4 choices:
    Request Certificate with new key.
Request NEW Certificate with the same key
    Renew certificate with new key
Renew this certificate with the same key
What appears to be happening is that the workstations are doing a request, not a renew.
I have been through my Radius config and the GPO and can't find anything that should affect this.  I know that the GPO is being applied to the machines, and I'm about 99% sure that the GPO is correct.
Any ideas where I should be looking?
    Thanks,
    John Morgan

    Hi,
Check your configuration, confirm that the following option is checked.
Renew expired certificates, update pending certificates, and remove revoked certificates
    Configure Certificate Autoenrollment
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc731522.aspx
You can also manually revoke the expired certificate in CA.
    Hope this helps.

  • For Users of WRT350N - My experience

For all you WRT350N Users out there, I thought I'd post my experience and tips gained over the past 7-8 months using the WRT350N since my WRT54G died.
I purchased the WRT350N obviously as a replacement for the WRT54G with extremely high expectations. Though I did not have any -N equipment as yet, I was planning on it. I did like the fact that it had the USB port. It was also a Linksys product so I expected the same good, reliable experience with it as I had in the past. I was upgrading some of my home office equipment and wanted to embrace wireless for all my peripherals (ie. get rid of the wires).
In the beginning, it was hell.
I suffered from all kinds of bizarre and cryptic events. The WRT350N was at 1.03.2. I had all manners of dropped internet connections, extremely poor wireless performance (WEP and B/G Mode). You've read the threads, I've experienced them all. I almost threw the unit out in total frustration. I upgraded to 1.03.7 about a month after purchase following the procedure outlined by other contributors on this forum...(You must follow the instructions to the letter).
Since then, the unit has worked as advertised in wired modes: internet connection has been solid and stable with no re-boots. The wireless piece has been a bugger running WEP and in B or G... still had 54MB/s when close to the WRT350N but this dropped considerably when the wireless device was moved to other parts of the house.
Well, I fixed the problem... and wireless piece is now running at 270MB/s (-N Mode) flawlessly throughout my house. See below.
So, what have I learned and is it of any use to anyone else?
First off, everyone's configurations, equipment, environment, needs and expectations are different, so take the following with a grain of salt. This is my experience.
    My Network and stuff:
    Cable Broadband - Cable modem
DellXPS-3.4Ghz (Desktop), 1 TeraByte drives configured for RAID 0, 1 GB Network card, lot's of USB devices hanging off it - everything running on MS XP - System is wired to the WRT350N.
Dell8100-1.5Ghz (Desktop), 500GB Drives, 1GB Network card and a bunch of peripherals - everything running on MS XP - System is wired to the WRT350N.
1 Terabyte USB External Drive used primarily for backups. Originally purchased to hang off the USB port of the WRT350N as a quasi-network drive... It can be configured and it does work. However, I had trouble with Norton Ghost 12 doing backups to the drive via the 350N USB port. I removed it from the 350N USB port and re-attached it to a spare DELL XPS USB port - no problems since. I also have a number of printers, three of which are directly connected to the Desktops.
I purchased a HP Photosmart C8180 All-in-one (good unit BTW) as a network (wired or wireless) color printer and for photo printing etc. It worked intermittently with the 350N when configured for wireless using WEP and in B/G mode. The printer, unfortunately does not support wireless in -N mode using WPA2 Personal-AES. So it is now wired with network connection at 1 GB.
Dell Latitude D600 Laptop... Frustrating!!! With the on-board Intel Wireless B/G, I never really got consistent, solid network or Internet connections via the 350N. It worked poorly with the 350N - wireless. It worked fine wired to the 350N.
Solution: I disabled the on-board Intel Wireless and purchased a Linksys WPC300N - It is a -N device. I really crossed my fingers with this purchase. Well, the card works. I get solid, repeatable wireless connection to the Network/Internet anywhere in the house at 270MB/s. I have had absolutely no interference from any of my neighbor's B and G routers. I have yet to experience any degradation in speed or signal. Use: WPA2 Personal-AES for security. Faster than all the other settings I've tried.
So the 350N works in my case, as advertised. My first -N appliance - the WPC300N card for the Dell laptop also works as advertised. I haven't hooked up XBox or fully utilized/explored all the other features nor have I set up the router for VPN (one step at a time).
So here's what I have in the configuration:
Under SETUP/Basic Setup: Internet Connection Type: Automatic configuration - DHCP
DHCP Server: Enabled - Use DHCP Reservation and assign your devices (MAC Addresses) to IPs
Under SETUP/MAC Address Clone: Enable. My DELL XPS MAC is cloned here (Must do)
    Under SETUP/Advanced Routing:NAT Enabled
    Under Wireless/Basic Wireless Settings:
    Network Mode: Mixed (b/g/n)
Network Name (SSID): Put your SSID here (anything other that linksys!) Radio Band: Wide - 40MHz Channel
    Wide Channel: 3
    Standard Channel: 1 - 2.412GHz
    SSID Broadcast: Enabled
I've experimented with the Auto settings here... it works but I got better results in my case with the above.
Under Wireless/Wireless Security: Security Mode: WPA2 Personal
    Encryption: AES
Passphrase: I put a name in here
Key Renewal: The default I believe is 3600 (works). I put in 7200 (works)
Under Wireless/Wireless MAC Filter: (Kind of up to you. For added security, I enabled it and put in my Laptop and other wireless devices MAC addresses here.
    Wireless MAC Filter: Enabled
Access Restriction : Permit PCs listed below to access the wireless network.
MAC Address Filter List : Fill out your applicable MAC addresses here. Under Wireless/Advanced Wireless Settings: AP Isolation: Disabled
    Frame Burst: Enabled
    Authentication Type: (Default: Auto)
    Basic Rate: (Default: Default)
    Transmission Rate: (Default: Auto)
    N Transmission Rate: (Default: Auto)
    CTS Protection Mode: (Default: Auto)
    Beacon Interval: 50
    DTIM Interval: 1
    Fragmentation Threshold: 2307
    RTS Threshold: 2306
    Under Security/Firewall:
Firewall-SPI Firewall Protection: Enabled Everything else - default
Under Storage: I had this configured to handle my USB Terabyte drive but since decoupled it for other reasons. It works and has worked as a Network drive in my case.
Under Access Restrictions: I left everything default here.
Under Applications and Gaming: I have done nothing here. Can't advise on port forwarding or the like.
Under Administration: Everything here is vanilla except under Management I have enabled Upnp.
    Hope this helps someone.
    Cheers!

My WRT350N has given me very little trouble, however the storage link does not work that great. I definitly like the WRT350 router over my old WRT300. Thanks for the tips and info. I just wished that LInksys came out with firmware updates for there products more often that fixed bugs.

  • SSO for MS outlook, OWA and Sharepoint using SSO 2.0

      Hi,
We have installed the secure login server 2.0. And configured SSO for SAP (ABAP, JAVA) systems using X.509 certificate. it is working fine.
We want to configure SSO for some non SAP applications like MS outlook, Outlook Web Access, Sharepoint.
I dont see any documentation in the implememntation guide of NW SSO 2.0 for how to configure these non sap applications to accept X.509 certificates.
Anyone please share the details of how to configure SSO for MS outlook, OWA and Sharepoint
    Regards,
    Yogesh Kumar D

    Hello Yogesh,
Secure Login Server generates short lived certificates, this means after a configured time (or even
after an logout, because the Secure Login Client does not persist the private
keys in the file system) the private key and certificate is gone.
So using this for long term encryption is not practicable (because decryption
will be very very hard after a certificate/key renew...)
For a signature only solution the problem would be the signature validation, because it needs the
public key/certificate from the signer. This is usually included into the
PKCS#7 signature format, but its not guaranteed (depends on the application settings as example in outlook etc.). So this would be theoretically possible, but unlikely.
For long term encryption/signatures you need persistence certifkate/keys.
So thats the reason there is not documentation about that use case in Secure Login Server.
    best regards
    Alex

    History:
I have 4 WAP4410N Access Points setup in a sorority house, one for each floor. The access points they had before were D-Link 2.4GHz POE APs. The reason for changing the access points was a lack of wireless coverage in the house. About 2 weeks ago I had a complaint that ALL apple computer users were only able to get to a webpage and if they tried to click a link they would get nothing, so they would have to disconnect and then reconnect to the SSID in order to get to another page. I contacted Cisco SB support and asked if they were aware of any issues with apple. The tech said yes and that I should update to 2.0.2.1 firmware, I was currently running 2.0.1.0. The tech also said that after upgrading the firmware reset the access point and reconfigure it, so I did this. I updated the firmware on all 4 APs and had one of the girls click a few links thinking that it was fixed since it worked. Well I have heard tonight that there still is an issue. I am having complaints for ALL apple computer users that after viewing 3 -5 pages/links they have to disconnect and reconnect to the SSID, then after so many more pages they have to do it all over again.
    Question:
I noticed that there is another firmware update released for the WAP4410N, will this firmware (2.0.3.3) fix the issue I am having?
If so, should I upgrade the firmware and reset the AP's again and reconfigure them, or can I just update them and not re-configure them?
If not, should I change some of my settings? Any other suggestions?

Did you try the firmware upgrade and reconfiguring the wap4410ns travis?  As a rule of thumb, I always factory reset and reconfigure the device just incase there is any glitches.
Also are you running all the access points through the unmanaged switch?  If so, try to take it out of the mix and plug directly into the ASA.  Try to eliminate all extra pieces in the mix so you can better understand where the failure is.  Your connecting wirelessly and able to browse, your getting intermittent connectivity.  Also approximately how many users are connecting to the access points at one time?  Try to isolate one wap4410n and a mac and test browsing with it and see what happens.

  • New 6500 E709n loses wireless connection when it or laptop sleeps... & other problems!

Just got this printer and am hoping we can get it to work because we really like it.  I believe we've done everything right - it is connected to PC via USB, and to laptop via wireless network.  Both computers are Dells running XP.  Our wireless router is a Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G.  We installed the disk on both.  Immediately after installing on the laptop by plugging in USB and then unplugging, we were able to get it to work.  We printed and scanned from both . . . UNTIL the printer went into power save mode.
When it sleeps it loses all the network connections (but will still print from PC).  Even the icons disappear from the laptop after it sleeps.  The only way to get it to work with the laptop again is to start all over, plug in the laptop, enter the WPA key again, and so on.  Then it's finebut for just a short while.  Now, when I registered my protection plan, I was on the phone with a techie guy and asked him if it's normal to have to keep entering the key every time you want to print, and he actually said that maybe I shouldn't let the printer sleep - wow! I want to conserve energy, so I may even want to shut it off, okay, and I don't feel I should have to go through this rigamarole every time I want the darn thing to just be available to the network.  Furthermore, what's the sense of having to turn "Wireless Radio" on and off all the time???
Anyway, there are other problems and the menus in the internal web browser is about as confusing as it can be.  Is the passphrase the same as a WPA key?  There's a passphrase in there which I did not enter, and I don't know what it is because it's been disguised with dots.  When I enter the WPA key on the front panel of the printer, it doesn't stick.  One thing I noticed in the instructions is to keep telephones away from it, so I moved ours (was right next to it) but it's still being ornery.
In addition, the scan function only works from the software, not as a standalone if I use the front panel.  When using the button on the front panel, sometimes it sees the laptop, sometimes it doesn't, and then it starts to scan, but a menu pops up on the computer asking to update the buttons, and then nothing happens.
Have we a clunker on our hands that should be returned, or is there a remedy?  All suggestions welcome!

Let me answer the easy stuff first:
Yes, the passphrase is the same as the WPA-PSK key.
No, it's not normal to have to re-enter the wireless security key over and over again.  Politely tell our service agent that he is mistaken on this point.
There's no sense in having to turn the radio on and off all the time to get the printer to remain on the network.
When the printer goes into power-save mode, can you still access the printer's internal web page by browsing to it's IP address?  When the printer loses wireless connectivity, can you wake the printer by pressing any of the buttons on the front panel?
I have a couple more questions:
What WRT54G HW version do you have (it'll be on the bottom label of the router)?
What version of FW does your router have?  You'll have to browse to the router's internal web page to find out.
Finally, change the WPA-PSK group key renewal period to the largest value possible.  Tell if this affects the frequency of printer losing Wi-Fi connectivity?
One more question.  After you have the printer connected to your wireless network and it's working, if you turn the printer off (via the power button), wait five seconds then unplug it then plug it back in and turn it on, does it connect to your network?
