NW04s WAS 7.0 displays some texts in chinese language

I have installed NW04s ABAP instance (WAS 7.0)with all the default settings. When I logged in to the SAP system, I noticed that all the text messages are being shown in some Chinese language. Later I realized that, not only this screen but also all the screens have the same problems.Has anyone seen this kind of weird problem? Do you have any idea what is causing this? Any help in this regard will highly be appreciated.

Are you saying that different language pack is installed in this system?. I checked through SMLT and noticed only two language support packages of GERMAN and ENGLISH are imported.Also verifed through I18N , the system has ENGLISH and GERMAN only. This is the default install and I have not installed any other language at all

Sure. If you use a field (button, text field) to display the text, the Mouse Up script of the Yes check box could be:
getField("button1").display = event.target.value === "Yes" ? display.visible : display.hidden;
Change "button1" to the actual name of the field and "Yes" is the export value of the Yes check box. You can use whatever you want, and you'll probably want to make the button read-only as well.

Firefox doesn't display some text on certain pages.

I've noticed that on some pages, Firefox doesn't display certain text. I have the newest version of Firefox installed and my flash and java are updated. The text displays fine on Chrome and IE. Please see my example in the screenshots of the stevenson.edu webpage. Does anybody know what I can do to fix this problem or if there is some sort of plugin I am missing to display certain content? Thanks.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache.
Note: ''This will temporarily log you out of all sites you're logged in to.''
To clear cache and cookies do the following:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

How to text using chinese language?

I actually have a Nokia 6500 slide. Recently I found out that I can't actually send a text messages using chinese language (mandarin). However, I could receive msges in mandarin. I tried changing in the 'Language Setting', however only English, Filipino and Vietnamese are available. Is there anyway I can install the language without formatting my phone?

Search Help in Webdynpro displays specific text in German language

We have created a custom search help which is being displayed using a custom Webdynpro application. We found that for this search help, although all other texts are displayed in English, a specific text ( 'Show filter criteria' ) is being displayed in German. Also, the same problem exists for search helps used in certain standard Webdynpro applications as well ( eg. WDT_FLIGHTLIST, TEST_DDIC ). Is there any SAP note to address this issue?

Finder displaying some location in chinese font

Hi,
First time poster here. I have done an extensive search of the community but am struggling to find anything that specifically relates to me. Anyway, I ran the upgrade to Yosemite over the weekend and I am now getting some location in my Finder displayed in Chinese fonts. There is no pattern to what changes and upon reboot it may change what is shown in the Chinese characters. I have included a screenshot below:
Anything I can do to fix this?

Here's a funny thing - I thought that the fix of changing to one language had worked. It has, for most views.
However, when I look at the finder under 'Today', 'Yesterday' or 'Past Week', I find quite a lot of files either have their names or types in Japanese - when I look at the same file in its home directory, the language is back to English.
I've tried rebooting and re-starting Finder, but it seems a pretty hard error.

Display As Text (Saves State) as a Link in an updateable report

I'm running into an odd problem when attempting to use display as text(saves state) in a report as a link.
I have an updateable SQL report with the following columns in this order
1) A checkbox column
2) A column as a link using the Link Text attributes
3) A hidden column storing a key for use in the form
As I expected the checkbox is given a form name of f01 and the hidden column is f02
However, when I decide to switch the second column to be Display As Text (saves state) which also has the Link Text attributes set, so I can submit the value of that column in my form, something odd happens.
The checkbox is still submitted as f01. The hidden column becomes f03, however the Display As Text (saves state) value appears nowhere in the form. Neither does the text name="f02". It just stays as a link like it was before.
I'd really like to be able to submit the value without duplicating the column in the query(and making it a hidden value). Does anybody have any ideas about how I could do this?
Am I doing something horribly wrong? Has anybody else experienced this behavior?

Just to flush out my examples, and as a test for myself, I copied the "broken" example to a fourth page.
After copying the example page, I left the "display as" in "tabular form element" as 'Display As Text (saves state)' and deleted everything that was in the "Column Link" section (removing the link)
Once the link was removed, the Display As Text (saves state) behaved exactly as I would expect it to.

Regarding showing of some text with one parameter.

Here is an example of handling it manually in your program. You still need to create the data element and the documentation of the data elment, in this example, it is ZTEST.

To Display in Different Languages:
Smartforms:
In the Smartform you create:
In General Attributes, in Translate, select the radiobutton 'Into Selected Languages' and specify the lang for which you want the translation to be available.
To translate:
Go to SE63.
In menu, Translation -> ABAP Objects -> Other Long Texts.
In the Object Type Selection window that appears, expand FS ( Forms and Styles) and choose SSF (SAP SmartForms)
Specify your form name in Object Name and select the source and target lang and click on Edit button.
In the editor screen specify translated text in the lower half.
After you are done, click on Save Active button.
To view your form in the translated language, specify that language when you login.
SAPscripts:
Goto SE76.
Specify the script name, source and target language. Click on Create/Change button.
Specify all the translations. Click on release.
It will prompt you to translate window contents.
Double click on the window and translate the contents. When you are done, the Translation Status will become COMPLETED. Click on Release again.
(You can edit and check too)
Now when you preview by choosing the desired language, the translated script is displayed.

As I thought if I metion as 'Urgent' it will be answered quickly. Hereafter I wont do this...
Do we need to do the specified setting for each user separately? Is there any other way of doing it all together?
Also will this setting also applicable for workflow in the logon language??
Also the setting is changing only the translated texts & not the standard text like 'Cancel and keep workitem in inbox'.

Lion text problem: Some text does not display properly in Safari and Firefox

Hello
Some text in Safari and Firefox is seriously degraded, making it useless. I changed to Firefox because Safari was displaying wrongly, but Firefox displays the same way, so it seems to be an OS problem. See image as an example:
I cannot see subtitles on BBC streamed movies, and the timing of the movies on the bottom ribbon do not display correctly.
I am using Lion 10.7.5
Is there a solution for this problem?

Unbelievable (and I still cannot believe that) - is wmode="transparent/opaque/etc" - not supported by safari ? then how do you suggest we go about transparent flash elements on web pages? why isn't it working on safari while on every other browser on earth it does?

PDF file is missing some text while displaying on the iPad

I have sent a PDF Invoice to my customer, he called me back and said that I must be joking because half the important text is missing.
I have opened up the PDF on my computer and everything was there, so I was scratching my head... Than he called me back and said that
he also opened up the file on his computer and the missing text was there. That way we have discovered that the PDF file is for some strange
reason not displaying some parts of the text. I have checked on my own iPad trying to display it in iBooks, Adobe Reader, directly in a mail app,
everywhere I could only see a part of the text.
Can someone please explain to me how to fix this on the iPad or within the PDF itself?

I have what may be a related problem. I created a PDF file from InDesign's "Export" to PDF feature. (See it at http://www.mydfz.com/pot20/2046today.pdf). When I went to that web page and opened it, I noticed a problem on page 2 as follows:
The ad for "Duds-N-Suds Laundromat" should say "20, 30, & 40lb Dexter machines" between the company name and their hours. If I click on the icon to show the whole page, that space is blank. If I increase or decrease magnification the text appears. The whole page setting is shown as 86.5%. If I type that specific percentage in the box, the text appears. It is only when I use the whole page icon that the text vanishes. If I try to access the original file on my own machine, the text in question is visible under all the conditions I tested. I couldn't get it to vanish.
I just tried to access the web version again and this time the text is missing no matter what I do! I uploaded a fresh copy of the file but it still won't show the text. Very strange!
Evidently there is some bug in the rasterization routines but it only manifests under certain non-obvious circumstances. I grabbed screen images of the two states (visible and vanished) and will be happy to email them to anyone interested in pursueing this further.

I did a COPY of some text from a web page, and then did a PASTE into notepad.exe (Windows). The text from each line was duplicated -- on the line! Instead of "Fred", it became "Fred Fred".

I just recently installed Firefox for the first time. It seems nice and quick. The version is reported as: "10.0.1".
I wanted to save some text from a web page, so navigated to that page, selected the text, and pressed the Control-C combination to COPY the selected text to the buffer. For example, the text I selected looked something like this:
Harry
Ron
Hermione
Hagrid
Albus
NOTE: Each line of text has a small icon to the left of the text.
It is not reasonable to COPY and PASTE each line individually, as there can be hundreds of lines of data. I recall, however, that
doing a COPY and PASTE on this data into Microsoft's Excel will produce cells which have the icons included in the cell, but unfortunately one cannot can't get rid of them! At least I've never found a way to remove them, but that's another issue. :)
Once I'd done the COPY operation I switched to a Notepad window and did a PASTE operation. To my surprise, the text from each line was duplicated. It looked like this:
Harry Harry
Ron Ron
Hermione Hermione
Hagrid Hagrid
Albus Albus
Thinking that there might be something unusual about the web page I looked at the source, but it appeared "normal" -- that is, as expected.
Note: I have done this operation several times before, and have never seen this occur before.
Note: In the actual data some of the lines have quoted text in them. Curiously there is weird behavior on these lines. In some cases the entire line is shown only once. (These occur at the top of the line, and the quoted text is at the beginning of the name.)
When quoted text appears "later" in the name, in some cases the quoted text is duplicated, and in other cases the quoted text is missing altogether! I have also noticed an error with the quoted text, and so will be reporting that to the web site which generates the HTML.
Note that each line of "text" is "anchor text", so if I click on a name the browser navigates to a page for that name.
I believe that the problem is that the COPY operating in Firefox is not simply copying the visible text, but also the ALT=

Some Text Messages do not display when using large font on iphone

When using increased font size (accessability function) on iphone some text messages will not display. The iphone just seems to lock up. If normal font size is used text massage displays with out any issue. When font size is increased, text message will not display again.

Actually, Captivate does have an essentially unlimited number
of undo levels. But that number may appear to be different. The
number of levels starts when you begin editing the project. If you
close and re-open a project, that starts the undo process over.
I've tested and I gave up after about 280 or so undos.
Where Captivate doesn't allow an undo, it normally warns you
with a rather catastrophic looking dialog.
