NW2004s installation haul at Config SLD

Hi,
We're installing SM4.0 and NW2004s with EP7 in Windows 2003, Oracle 10.2. The installation is in a Workgroup, as there's no network domain. At "Define parameter"
stage, we've choosen to install local SLD.
For both installation, the installation steps haul at step "Configure System Landscape Directory" for a long time, more than 2days. At the bottom of the screen, it say 'creating SLDDSUSER user'.
Appreciate your advise in advance.
Thanks,
Jocelyn

Hello
I am in the same error place during Solution Manager 4.0 Installation. System detects that SLDDSUSER exists and failed with the password. Where can I delete the user? I have used SU01 and the user doesnt exist
Thanks in advanced

Adding more mystery to the distribution kit error discussed above.  I have found that the kit installs successfully on Win 7 x64 machines as well as WinXp x32  machines.  However, the installation error message still exists on Win 7 x32 machines.  On one of these Win 7 x32 machines the error message infers that there is a .dll file  that cannot be found, with no mention or hint as to the file's name.   Again, any tips would be appreciated.

  • How to check whether NW2004s-Installation is unicode/non-unicode

    Hi,
    I have to check, whether our NW2004s-Installation (ERP 2005) is a unicode-installation or a non-unicode.
How can I check it? - the sap-admin I can ask is on holiday.
    Thanks
    Wolfgang

You can go to the Backend and click on System -> Status, and under SAP System Data you should be able to see Unicode System (Yes or No)...
    Hope this help!

  • LDAP with a ABAP + JAVA NW2004s installation

    Hi,
    Can i setup a <b>LDAP</b> as a datasource to a ABAP + Java NW2004s installation ?
If yes please direct me to the procedure.
    Cheers!!

The simple answer is no. If you have installed the ABAP component then you have to use the ABAP user store through the UME. See <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/f5/8fdc3fca21eb06e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">this link</a> for more information.
You could have the ABAP users synchronising with the LDAP through a transaction in the ABAP stack called LDAP but this would be a scheduled activity. It may also be possible to buy a provisioning tool that does this as a more frequent (almost synchronous) update as well.

  • OIM 11g Installation - Oracle_IDM1/bin/config.sh : segmentation fault

    Hello,
I'm installing all the components on a single machine : CentOS 5.5 64bits (equivalent to RH5.5).
Here are the steps that I followed :
    1) I installed Oracle Database 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.1.0 and WebLogic Server Version: 10.3.3.0
    2) I applied the Repository Creation Utility ofm_rcu_linux_11.1.1.3.3
    3) I installed SOA Suite ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.2.0 then patched it using ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0 (Installation without configuration)
    4) I installed Oracle Identity and Access Management ofm_soa_generic_11.1.1.3.0
    5) I created a Weblogic domain using +$ORACLE_MWHOME/Oracle_IDM1/common/bin/config.sh+
    6) I started Weblogic and the Node Manager
    7) When I run the configuration tool cd $ORACLE_MWHOME/Oracle_IDM1/bin then +./config.sh+ I had a segmentation fault error :
Preparing to launch Oracle Universal Installer from /tmp/OraInstall2011-03-08_02-13-15PM. Please wait ..../config.sh: line 159: 11022 Segmentation fault      $INSTALLER_DIR/runInstaller -weblogicConfig ORACLE_HOME="$ORACLE_HOME" -invPtrLoc $ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc -oneclick $COMMANDLINE -Doracle.config.mode=true
when I run it using strace, I saw that the installer can't find a libc.mo file :
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US.utf8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en.utf8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    write(2, "./config.sh: line 159:  8897 Seg"..., 209./config.sh: line 159:  8897 Segmentation fault      $INSTALLER_DIR/runInstaller -weblogicConfig ORACLE_HOME="$ORACLE_HOME" -invPtrLoc $ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc -oneclick $COMMANDLINE -Doracle.config.mode=true
    +) = 209+
So I made a symbolic link to one that actually exists :
    sudo ln -s /usr/share/locale/en_GB/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo /usr/share/locale/en/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo
Now the installer can find it, but I still have a segfault :
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US.utf8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en.UTF-8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
open("/usr/share/locale/en.utf8/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)
    open("/usr/share/locale/en/LC_MESSAGES/libc.mo", O_RDONLY) = 3
    +fstat(3, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0644, st_size=1474, ...}) = 0+
    mmap(NULL, 1474, PROT_READ, MAP_PRIVATE, 3, 0) = 0x2b2d76c27000
    close(3)                                = 0
    write(2, "./config.sh: line 159:  9160 Seg"..., 209./config.sh: line 159:  9160 Segmentation fault      $INSTALLER_DIR/runInstaller -weblogicConfig ORACLE_HOME="$ORACLE_HOME" -invPtrLoc ORACLE_HOME/oraInst.loc -oneclick $COMMANDLINE -Doracle.config.mode=true
    +) = 209+
Any idea on what would be the reason for that ?
    Thanks in advance !

Not certified means in case of an error, you are on your own. Usual advice, try the same with a certified OS. If the issues persists, you can file a support ticket.

    What is your Windows version?
Can you try to right-click on the downloaded installer, then select Run as Administrator.
If that still does not do the trick, can you try downloading the MSI installer (10.1.0, French version) from http://ardownload.adobe.com/pub/adobe/reader/win/10.x/10.1.0/fr_FR/AdbeRdr1010_fr_FR.msi

  • NW2004 Installation - MaxDB error

    Hi,
I am using win xp prof(SP2)laptop system and trying to install ABAP NW2004s. I keep getting below error message.
I did follow the guidelines as mentioned in the document.
But stuck at 17 of 24 phase(Import ABAP) with below message heading as "Reload.exe - Unable to Locate Component"
    with error message as below:
"This application has failed to start because libSQLDBC76.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem".
Did anyone experience the same problem. Please share your solution/workaround with me.
    thanks,
    partha

    Hello Partha,
As of NW 2004s, the new MaxDB DBSL (dbsdbslib) and therefore the
disp+work uses the Library libSQLDBC76 of the MAXDB 7.6.00 installation
    client.
The Reload tool can't find the libSQLDBC76.dll which needed to connect
    to a 7.6 MaxDB database.
(The MaxDB client on application servers must always be on the same
major release version as the database server)
Please update with the following information:
    1) Run the command
    sdbverify
if you have the packages are marked as corrupted.
    2) What is output of the 'sdbregview -l' command?
    3) When you will run 'xinstinfo' you will get <IndepPrograms>.
If you installed the MAXDB version 7.6, please check libSQLDBC76.dll
       in the directory <IndepPrograms>\pgm.
Please check that the PATH variable was adjusted by <IndepPrograms>\pgm
       & <IndepPrograms>\bin.
    4) Run the command
    DBUPDATE.BAT -client
from the MaxDB RDBMS CD to update the Client software
       Or
Using the SDBINST tool, proceed as follows to install the client
software < as administrator > with the following options:
SDBINST -profile "Runtime For SAP AS"
from the directory where you unpacked the MAXDB SAR file.
( Please run with 'SDBINST -l' to review the existing profiles & packagenames. )
    5) The xuser data have the correct user/pwd/server/database name
information from the connected to the <SID> system database.
As you know, as of Version 7.5, you must only maintain correctly the Xuser
entries for the users <sid>adm (UNIX/Windows) and SAPService<sid> (Windows only).
You could find more information about xuser tool:
    Run command 'xuser -h'.
At link - MaxDB documentation: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/maxdb/
MaxDB Library -> Tools -> Utilities -> XUSER

  • NW2004s Installation fails in High Availability Environment

We are installing our Production Server
SAP Netweaver 2004s with High Availablility.
AS per the inst guide, we installed the Oracle 10G in Local Disk of both the nodes.
Then Installed the OFS and the SCS Instance successfully.
Then we created the Oracle Fail Safe Group.
After this when we try to install the Database Instance, During the Prerequisites Check, we are getting the message as the

But we have the Oracle installed in the Server into local disk.
    Any Ideas?
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Benny,
Thanks for the info. We recieved a reply in OSS stating that NW2004s in HA is note tested.
It will only work with NW2004s SR1.
Now we are plannign to go with Distributed System installation without HA because we will not get the NW2004s SR1 DVD.
Where can we get the info about how to Convert the System Landscape from the Distributed System to HA System. Is this possible as part of the migration or as a seperate installation.
Can you please help me in your views on Converting from Distributed Environment to HA Environment.

  • Nw2004s Installation

    Hi All,
I am trying to install nw2004s in a distributed system scenario on a windows platform and sql server 2005. Since we don't have a windows domain in place, we are trying to install this as a local instance. Now, if my Database instance has to be on separate host, should I run sapinst on the database instance or it can be run on the SCS and CI instance.
For now, since our CI and SCS instance is located in the DMZ and sapinst cannot access the global profile while running sapinst at the db host, I am trying to run sapinst at the SCS and CI host.
But when I run sapinst for distributed system db instance, it always says, provide a local installation of sql instance.
Please let me know if this is the correct way of running the installation.
    Thanks

    Hi Hendrik,
I also want to know if Trial version of ABAP NW2004s can be installed using Windows 2000 Professional !
Your reply is bit technical to me! Also are you telling that it can be installed but we have to use different version of JDK then the one which comes with NW2004s files?
Which version of JDK is with files and which one should be used?
It will help if you can give out detailed steps.

  • Steps to create a SOLMAN key for NW2004s installation in AIX Machine

I have installed a  SOLMAN in a Windows system
I need to install SAP NW200s in a AIX Machine.
Pls let me know the steps to create SOLMAN key for the installation.

    Hi Balaji,
Before doing the steps said by Kanthi, you have register that system. Please follow the steps to do:
    SMSY>Server>Create new system with assistant
