NW7.0 Enhancement Pack1 and BI7.0

Gurus:
I am installing a BI7.0. However, the sapinst on the DVD reads:
"As of SAP NW7.0 with enhancement pack 1, you can install dual stack ONLy with usage type PI and MI."
But I want a dual stack BI7.0.
What should I choose? PI or MI?

Bi7.1 is not a completely new release. Its almost same as BI7.0.
BW7.3 will be the next release with some changes.

How can I get the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver installed on Win7 LC master?

We recently migrated from a Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2012 print server. When recomposing a linked clone pool with the old 2003 server, drivers were taken care of for the printer when the user printed for the first time after desktop recompose. With 2012, any printer using the Point and Print driver doesn't seem to obtain the driver again from the 2012 server. All of our clients are running Windows 7 which means the Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver is not installed in the OS natively.
I apparently need to figure out a way to get this installed on the host image so it trickles down to snapshots when recomposing the linked clone pool but I haven't been able to dig much information on doing this. Does anyone out there have any insight on how to accomplish this? If I recompose a pool now for a user who is using a new Point and Print driver, they get the following message that is resolved by removing the printer from their account and re-adding it:
"The 'Microsoft enhanced Point and Print compatibility driver' printer driver is not installed on this computer. Some printer properties will not be accessible unless you install the printer driver. Do you want to install the driver now?"
I figured the easy solution would be to just install a printer using the Point and Print driver and then remove it...leaving the driver behind (unless it cleaned up after itself). The problem with this is in my testing, even after removing and re-adding a printer that set off installation of this Point and Print driver on the client, any other printer that was using it still required the remove/re-add process in order to work, else I got the same message. That tells me that the driver may be custom for each printer installed?
Color me a little confused. I do NOT like the way that Server 2012 handles printers. I've come across a few other issues as well (such as duplex capabilities not being remember on the print server for a printer) that I never had with the 2003 server.

Anywhere to find newly added countries in enhancement pack and support pack

Our HR wants to proactively identify the new countries being introduced through enhancement pack and support pack, so configurations such as V_T503Z (country assignment for employee group/subgroup) can be updated accordingly.
How can I find such a list?

If you have ever tried downloading the notes delivered under CLC or HRSP for SAP-HR Component, you would see that the sub-component names are generally based on country abbreviations example PY-AU, PY-SG etc. Also the country names are mentioned there. So if any new country comes up you would know it from the sub-component name. However, whether you need to configure anything in your system for these new countries depends on the fact whether your client has operations in that country or not and whether your project is supporting that country operations for the client or not.
It is more likely that we keep checking the CLC and HRSP for any new functionalities introduced by SAP for the countries that we are supporting for the client instead of checking for new countries altogether.

Hi, i am enhancing 2LIS_03_BX and 2LIS_03_BF
as i added to the cube 0MAT_PLANT.
In order to get the value i update the UPDR (3.x)
with formula: RIGHT( 11, 0Material )
which is correct.
So far is fine.
The UPDR get activated.
And if i load the cube gets fine.
But i face an issue when transporting it to QAS as, despite the Transport going fine and the UPDR being fine, when i load data using BX or BF it does not add records.
I already set up all necessary stuff in RC, MCNB, LBW, OLI1Bw...
I tested it with and without such little enhancement and without enhancement works perfect.
With enhancement described here does not add records.
Did any face a similar situation ?

is all a bit weird.
The scenario is as follows. having a cube copy
from 0IC_C03 fed from 2LIS_03_Bx and 2LIS_03_BF.
I enhanced the cube with 0DISMM and 0MAT_PLANT
on UPDR from 2LIS_03_BX I included
0DISMM is updated with a small rotine
0MAT_PLANt updated with brief formula
I saved + activated.
Was working on DEV.
But once transported to QAS all was fine (activated and so on).
All preliminary steps were done on ECC side (tnx BF11,... LBWG, then mCNB,load...)
But when loading data was transfering records but not adding them
I went through all the custo on R3 side.
Loaded and delted several times from cube and loaded again.
I finally tried to undo the changes in DEV thus leaving the flow to its original status.
Then loading again -in DEV.
All went fine but in DEV even with the changes all was fine.
I decided to move the flow that put it to its original status to QAS.
Loaded BX => went fine
added records to cube.
So basically i removed the changes (a formula plus a little routine)
Transported to QAS.
Then added the changes again.
Transported including changes to QAS.
All is working fine now.
Just lost few days going through the entire pieces Stocks is entailed of.
Hope this weird solution comes to someone´s mind if in a similar scenario as a last resort.

HD Enhanced program and multiple old set-top boxes

HDenhanced. Sounds like a step forward and should be a good technological advancement. I have been frustrated with the process of getting the equipment. I got the letter in the mail. It's geared toward providing no human intervention. All of the instructions say, "Turn your desktop box to channel 1995 and follow the instructions." I have 2 desktop boxes--a DVR and a basic box--and neither of them is capable of 4-digit channels. So I went online--less-desired option 1--to order a replacement for my boxes. Online it asked for 4 pieces of information: name, account number, phone number, and zip code. Right above the "Submit" button is text that states: "Yes, please send me the correct number of cable boxes." One box was shipped. When I saw the shipping information and that only one box was shipped, I called--less-desired option 2--and got to a human in the HDenhanced department (after being told by a recording to turn my box to channel 1995). I spent several minutes trying to explain that only one box was shipped but the web page told me that "the correct number of cable boxes" would be shipped, so what about the 2nd box? (And in the process was asked to turn my box to channel 1995, part of the script, I'm sure.) The call ended with me having the impression (with a lot of uncertainty) that the other box would be shipped also. Today I received the one DVR box and I installed it. (The instructions say, "install all devices before activating". If only...) I attempted to call a few mins after 7:00 tonight to follow up on the 2nd box, but apparently I need to call back "during business hours". What's the worst that could happen? HD Enhanced is turned on and I don't get one of my boxes replaced for the cutover. It's really not that big of an impact. What bothers me is that the user instructions and support script do not identify HOW the multiple boxes will be handled, leaving the impression that it will happen in one shipment. But it didn't happen that way.

What happened when you attempted to tune to Channel 1995? I have been told that your area does support 4 digit channel numbers and this feature specifically.

Enhancement spot : It is the point where you can add your code. It can have multiple implementations. All the implementations can active at a time but the sequence of executions of the implementations can be anything.

Enhancement points are regions where can insert our code to suit customer needs...Spots are subsets of points and created inside these points..for an enhancement point multiple active spots can exist.
For enhacement-sections : the main idea is to provide a spot to customise the existing process..eg:SAP has done a select criteria..but you need to filter it more by adding a where condition..in that case SAP suggests using Enhancement sections..At any time the first active enhancement section works...even if multiple sections are created(though ideally multiple sections are not allowed to be created)..if you do the procedure below you can see that enhancement-section when a spot is created for it...the code in the parent section is copied and given in the editable mode
Creating spots implementations for points/sections are given below................................................................
to Create a spot in the standard code...click on the spiral icon..screen changes to a different color...place cursor on ENHANCEMENT-POINT/ENHANCEMENT-SECTION keyword of the spot you require to create implementation for...righ click -> "enhancement implementation -> "create" -> a table control comes -> at the bottom "CREATE" button to be clicked" ...give a name and text in customer name space and save -> select the same name just given in the table control ..press 'Tick' .....you will get a space where code can be written..write the code.....save and activate

Purchase Order Header enhancement - ME_GUI_PO_CUST and ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST

I have enhanced CI_EKKODB in EKKO to add 12 new fields. I've created a custom subscreen in SE80 with those fields.
I've implemented ME_GUI_PO_CUST (ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST was already implemented previously) and put the appropriate code in SUBSCRIBE and MAP_DYNPRO_FIELDS methods. I also put code, which I thought was appropriate in the other methods in the Interface.
I have copied function group MEPOBADIEX into ZMEPOBADIEX and changed the Function Modules to use the Z versions.
When I run ME21N / ME22N / ME23N, I do see my new tab and the fields. I can enter data and switch back and forth through the tabs and my data stays. However, when I try to SAVE, I get the No Data Changed popup.
I have put breakpoints in each of the methods. The breakpoints are only stopping in SUBSCRIBE, MAP_DYNPRO_FIELDS and EXECUTE.
Methods: TRANSPORT_FROM_MODEL, TRANSPORT_TO_DYNP, TRANSPORT_FROM_DYNP, and TRANSPORT_TO_MODEL aren't getting called.
And, by not getting called, it seem my data isn't being transferred back properly.
What's going on? I see this issue over and over online, but no solutions.

Enhancing black and white photos

I have some old washed out black and white photos that I would like to improve. What are the best steps to use with Elements 10 that will sharpen and enhance my old black and white photos?

As hatstead mentioned, you can go about it with a levels adjustment.
Here is a faded b&w where I invoked a levels adjustment. The "rule of thumb" for enhancing many pictures is to move the left & right sliders to where the histogram starts to rise. Then move the middle slider to darken or lighten the overall picture.
After moving the sliders:
If you then invoke levels again to see the result, it is the optimal bell-shaped curve:
You can so the same simply by invoking Auto Levels. Here is what the histogram looks like after Auto Levels on the original picture. Again, you can then fine-tune the result via the middle slider.

Enhanced receiver determination to have a mapping program determine the receivers of the message dynamically at runtimeInstead of creating the receivers in the receiver determination manually, you assign a mapping to the receiver determination and this returns a list of receivers at runtime.
A typical usage case is if you do not yet know the names of the receivers at configuration time. In this case, you can define a mapping program, for example, which reads a list of receivers from a table or from the payload of the message at runtime.
2.Standard Interface Determination :You can specify to which inbound interface at the receiver the message is to be sent at runtime. You also have the option of specifying a mapping and (when multiple inbound interfaces are defined) a condition for each inbound interface.
2.1 n an enhanced interface determination, you do not enter the inbound interfaces manually, but first select a multi-mapping. You get the inbound interfaces from the target interfaces of the multi-mapping. The inbound interfaces are determined at runtime during the mapping step.
You typically use an enhanced interface determination if the source message has an element with occurrence 0 ... unbounded (for multiple items of a data record) and you want multiple messages (for the individual items) to be generated at runtime.

How Do I Enhance Black and White Images in Elements 4.0?

On PhototshopTV, I saw a tip for enhancing B&W in PhotoShop CS: Select Layer-New Adjustment layer-Channel Mixer; click the Monochrome box; change values to: Red +74, Green +26, Blue +48, Contrast -12.
I don't see Channel Mixer in Elements 4.0.
Is there a way to do this in Elements 4.0, please?

The absence of Channel Mixer adjustment layers is an intentional design decision -- one of the differentiating features between the consumer-level Elements and the pro-level CS.
There have been posts, here, intimating that Richard Lynch, the author of "Hidden Power of Photoshop Elements" for versions 1-3, is said to be working on stuff for v4, which may include a Channel Mixer tool -- but that is still in the future.
