NWA application service in Visual Administrator

Hi,
does anybody know what is the service to start/stop NWA application from Visual Administrator? for example, if I want to stop the usermanagment on J2EE engine the service is sap.com/com.sap.security.core.admin, similarly I would like to know the exact service for the NWA.
Any kind of help is grealy appreciated.

Please let us know the version of your system, as from NW 7.1 visual admin is replaced by NWA.
If its an earlier version please check with the CIM Client Generation settings. you can find this in Visual Administrator, choose Cluster> Server>Services > SLD Data Supplier>Runtime-->CIM Client Generation Settings

On such datasources, for each one there is one .xml entry (the DS definition file)and below that, the datasource settings can be reached. If you mark the first one - the xml definition file - you get a blank screen right-hand, but at the same time, the "Stop" button (tooltip: "Stop Selected Standalone Application"; or the corresponding "Start" button, depending on the DS state) gets clickable.
This does not hold for the preconfigured default DS (which also has no xml entry).

Configure Memory Info service in Visual Administrator

Hello All,
I need to configure Memory Info service in Visual Administrator.
I am looking for a service/tool which will give me a summary of used/free and total memory in portal.
Ive read a little about Memory Info service and i think this will help me fulfill my requirement.
1. If you know of any other tool which will help me in my requirement, please give details.
2. Please guide me to configure Memory Info Service in Visual Admin. Currently its appears as its not configured. When I right click on it, the Start and Stop commands in the context menu are disabled.

In the Visual Administrator, there are few services like:
1.Memory Info - The context menu for Start / Stop is greyed out.
How can I start this service?

Monitoring service in Visual Administrator

Hello all,
In my Netweaver 04 SP 24 portal system, I start Visual Administrator and go to Cluster --> Services --> Monitoring. Under tab Runtime and then Monitor Tree, I expand the Root node. Under it, nodes Applications and System are in white ( and all their sub-nodes read "No value has been reported yet"
Under node Kernel, Licensing Manager and Locking Manager are in White Status while all other nodes are active ( have green , red or yellow colour)
Same situation for some nodes under node Performance and node Services
Any idea how I can activate those monitors so that they actually report data?

From what I read in the link you sent to me, if the status is white and there are no values reported, then the monitors do not work, which is my case. How can I activate those monitors? I tried to right click and update or click on configuration and Edit and then Save, but nothing happened

I lost Polcy Configurations in Security Provider service in Visual Administrator.Now Iam not able to login to Visual Administrator its giving an error.But portal is up and running .when I check in visualadminconsole log saying "logon module not suceeded"
Is there anyway to recover Policy configuration ?

NWA Application - Not Found in Visual Administrator

The NWA App does not appear in Visual Administrator under Cluster > Services > SLD Data Provider > CIM Client Generator Settings--
sap.com/tclmwebadminmainframewd/webdynpro/public/lib/app.jar" and

call it via <server>:<port>/nwa. I never did it on a full server, but it should work on the standard http port of your server.

Unable to connect to NWA and Visual administrator

HI all - I have Java stack installed i at its own database which coexists with another ABAP stack on same virtual machine.
I am not able to connect to Visual administrator to install the saplicens. connection error is as follow
Unable to connect to hostname:50104.
I have checked the value of p4 using configtool and it is 50104.
I have 2 extra emergency users that I have created to make sure if do not face user errors. Since DNS is not resolving FQHN, I have updates /etc/hosts file in my pc to make sure there are no network issues.
The only error I see is in ms_dev which is indicating saplicense has been expired.
Any idea, how to solve this problem?
DB= Oracle 10.2.0.2
CRM JAVA 7.0 EHP1
CRM ABAP 7.0 EHP1
Instances CJX(Java instance) and CSX (ABAP)

Hi Sunny, Thx for taking a look. I think I am in right direction after checking the logs. I did not have a chance to configure UME afterthe install. I am not sure if I should use APAP stack as the source. In the same time, My license is expired and can not connect to NWA or Visual admin.

I'm getting the below error in My SHarepoint 2013 search Administration page.

When i check the search status
Get-SPEnterpriseSearchServiceInstance, it shows all the components are online.
As of now search service application is online and search is working.But not sure why it throws the above error.
I have restarted timer service,search service in services.msc and cleared the sharepoint cache as well.
But no luck,This is happening in my prodcution environment.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please try below mentioned steps:
1. Central Administration > Monitoring > Review job definitions > Look for following timer job "Application Server Administration Service Timer Job" > Disable
2. Then open windows administrative services (services.msc), stop SharePoint Timer Service
3. Clear SharePoint Timer configuration cache by following steps mentioned in below blog:
http://blogs.msdn.com/b/jamesway/archive/2011/05/23/sharepoint-2010-clearing-the-configuration-cache.aspx
4. Start SharePoint Timer Service and give it a few seconds so that the new XML files from the location you deleted then are re-populated.
5.Central Administration > Monitoring > Review job definitions > Look for following timer job "Application Server Administration Service" Timer Job > Enable

Hi,
I think that your are mixing things up.
A client proxy in SE80 is in the Abap stack.
Visual Administrator is used to configure the Java stack.
Don't forget that the Netweaver application server is mostly a marketing myth.
In real life there are a Netweaver Abap application server and a Netweaver Java application server.
These 2 application servers are sticked together with some "software glue"...

I don't see Web Services Security in Visual Administrator

Iu2019m setting up ADS and when I start the Visual Administrator and select the node Server <x> / Services / Web Services Security from the Cluster tab, I donu2019t see any web service and the tab runtime is completely in gray and it doesnu2019t show me any data.
It only show me, in the status bar, the message u201CGetting schema to java mapping for Web Service: AdobeDocumentServicesSec, style =u201D

How to start/ restart the service in visual admin of SAP WAS 6.4?

I have installed the sneak preview version of SAP NetWeaver WAS 6.4 for default Database MaxDB. While developing a simple application to manage simple database table citymaster with 2 columns in jsp I am getting error as
Exception e com.sap.engine.services.jndi.persistent.exceptions.NameNotFoundException: Path to object does not exist at : java.comp.
Looking at visual admin tool for WAS 6.4 all the entries are in color blue but the last entry for 'DATASOURCE' is in RED color where 'java.comp/env/JDBC/DATASOURCE' is the jndi reference created for default DataSource.
Can any one help me that why the last entry is in RED and it that say that some error has occured or that entry is not started then how to start that?

I have checked the Visual Administrator's JNDI Registry service entry in the ejbContexts node but there is no entry for the project which I have created.
It get deployed while I right click on the project's ear file and click on "Deploy on J2EE Engine". But same as before while checking in Browserthe site gives the same error...

How can I remove the applications from the Content Administrator

I had undeployed the applications from Content Administrator in two ways:
A:
1. Start the tool using the go.bat located in \usr\sap\<SID>\<Instance Name>\j2ee\admin folder
2. Log in with an Administrator user.
3. Under the Server node click Services-> Deploy.
4. In the runtime tab, on the right hand side screen click on the Applications checkbox. The list of all deployed applications appears.
5. Select the application and click on the Remove button.
B:
Undeploying using SDM remoteGUI.
after I finished that,the application still exist in the browse of Content Administrator Web Dynpro.
But it is'n invailable.When I click the application name,it throws exceptions:
Failed to get the list of names of referenced deployable objects for deployable object 'local/Welcome'.
Failed to get list of defined JCO clients for deployable object 'local/Welcome'.
Failed to get the list of names of referenced deployable objects for deployable object 'local/Welcome'.
Failed to get enable state for 'local/Welcome'.
No resource bundles found for development component ''local/Welcome''.
My question is , how can I remove it form the list.
