NWBC for Desktop - pop-up inaccessible in background

We’re using NWBC 4.0 for Desktop on Windows Terminal Server 2008 R2 and facing since two weeks the following problems:
When I open NWBC PL11 (full desktop or seamless) I’ve about 5 seconds to choose from connection entries before pop-up is hiding behind main window. Same problem exists afterwards with IExplorer license warning or NWBC login window.
With NWBC PL14 the connection entry window stays on top but the problem with the hiding license windows still exist. You cannot recover from it as NWBC pop-ups are hidden for Win task bar.
We’re not aware of any changes on the terminal servers (Windows patches or SAP updates) but suddenly it stopped working.
Very similar problem exists when we connect with DameWare Remote Control to a Windows 8 Client. As long I’m connected you cannot use NWBC for Desktop.
Does anyone know a workaround for these problems?

I've also seen this issue in our Citrix environment.
After working with SAP Support, they have confirmed this is a known issue in NWBC 4.0 PL13 and PL14. Expect a fix in PL15 due in the third week of October 2014.
The only workaround I'm aware of is pressing the ESC key one or more times, you will be returned to the System Selection screen.

Is it possible to use the webgui and therefore screen personas for HTML in NWBC for desktop. We are using a theme in webgui which we would like to use in NWBC in combination with a theme for WDA using theme designer.

Both SAP Screen Personas stacks are heavily based on the internal ITS of AS ABAP. SAP GUI for HTML aka webgui is one service, granted a major one, within the internal ITS. SAP Screen Personas seems to have separate theming options which would suggest incompatibility with UI Theme Designer. Maybe the UI Theme Designer and Screen Personas experts from SAP can comment, pinging Uwe Klinger and Tobias Queck. That said I think you should be able to use UI Theme Designer for webgui, as long as you use Unified Rendering Lightspeed controls. See SAP note 1852400 for details. You may have to use the sap-theme parameter and make sure you have the latest Unified Rendering corrections.

Try trashing the .plist with CharacterViewer in its name in Home/Library/Preferences. To get to Home/Library you may need to hold the option key down while you do Finder > Go.

I am trying to install Creative Cloud app for Desktop and it's shutting down

Trying to install the Creative Cloud app for Desktop but every time I try the Adobe Application Manager shuts itself every time. I have OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
If it is automatically installed, where do I find it? I don’t think it has installed because the Application Manager shuts itself so fast every time.

I went into Applications> Utilities but there is no Adobe Installers folder or icon there for me to do anything with. I went back to my Adobe account front page and tried to download Illustrator again seeing as it hasn’t installed but when Application Manager tries to open (the little spinning icon) it spins about 3 times before I get a pop up saying that Adobe Application Manager has failed to open. This happens every time I attempt to download Illustrator. Any other options for what might be the issue?

Workers in AIR for desktop

My question here specific to AIR apps for desktop, not for the web. I have Flex 4.6 and AIR 3.5. I've beed Googling for days with no joy.
There are no code errors but does anyone know where and how to initialize workers in the main mxml file or hat appliaction handler should be used to get the worker thread to set the mainToWorker and workerToMain MessageChannel's, as there is no class initializer like there is in web flex projects.

1.Make sure you understand the big differences between video and stagevideo, its tempting to think that stagevideo is the better videosoultion in any case, but its not.

2.In a performance heavy environment the combination stageVideo+greensock might not be the optimal solution, if you have time to reprogram Starling/feathers will probably give you a much better performing combination:

3.I don`t know how you encode your Backgroundvideo, there are literally dozens of viable codecs that should differ extremly in how they stress the gpu/cpu. Maybe you have to experiment with a lower than HD resoultion and see if scaling up the background is a good compromise.

Fixed header working fine for desktop but not for windows phone

I have my website in asp.net with master page. I have used below css for header div of my website to make it fixed.

This is working fine for desktop. But on mobile, I can only see my 50% of width of the header. On the right side of 50%, nothing is cmg. As in just white background is cmg. On the right side, I have a button which when I click is working. To say, controls are
not visible but they are working if u manage to click at the exact place. Any fix for this?
I want to add that this problem is coming only in windows phone. So need fix for that.

My guess here is that your site may be running into a compatibility mode or different versions of IE on desktop and on Windows Phone, but you don't provide enough information about which versions of IE you are using. Windows Phone 8 uses IE 10 (similar to
Windows 8).

Windows Phone IT Pro forums are likely to know more about the Windows Phone IE specifics, and the folks in the IE or ASP.Net forums will know more about how to target your HTML for different versions.

NWBC for HTML troubleshooting - stuck at splashscreen

Hi all gurus,
I'm quite new to NWBC for HTML and I'm trying accessing to an SRM system via transaction NWBC.
Notice I'm just a guest on that system so I cannot go for note applications directly; I could eventually direct tech staff in order to approach any problem but I'm trying anyway to figure out what could be the issue.
Shortly; launching the NWBC transaction, the usual IE window with role selection pops up. I can then select a "node" (say, the root one, /nwbc). Then the splash screen appears but when the progress bar reaches more or less half of the lenght, it freezes and remain stuck'd.
I can see from ST22 that after a while, a dump for TIME_OUT appears due to (I guess) an infinite loop in method GET_BREAD_CRUMB_HTML:

I guess there's something that should be fixed in terms of configuration; I checked in SICF transaction and /sap/bc/nwbc node is active (and all the subnodes); however, testing nwbc_test, an empty IE page pops up.

Highly possibly the Runtime Environment and/or the Unified Rendering is too old. But in case the test page is empty, first is more possible. You can check the Runtime Environment with KBA 1864151 - please use section 2. Most current is PL37.

I too was having the same problem However, I could access both the menu bar and the dock by hovering my mouse over them so it wasn't a huge problem but I prefered having it there anyway. I was not in full screen mode and I could still go into full screen mode if I wanted to. I found the easiest solution was to just quit safai and restart it, but it might not work for you considering you couldn't access you menu bar either way.
I found this article that allows you to hide/show the menu bar and the dock through TextEdit (didn't work for me) http://www.mactricksandtips.com/2009/07/hide-the-menubar-or-dock-in-specific-app s.html It is pretty old so it might not work for lion and a bit risky if you don't know what you're doing so I wouldn't really recommend doing it this way.
And KSheppard, I know it's not really any of my buisness, but the way to get answers to a question isn't by insulting others and being quick-tempered. How do I disable "Exceptions" button for "Block pop-up windows" in Content tab?. I am able to Disable other Exception buttons in this tab using about:config preference.

That button doesn't have a pref associated with it, so you can't disable that button with a pref on the about:config page or a lockPref call.
That only leaves the choice to remove that button with code in userChrome.css

Unable to sign in to Creative Cloud for Desktops

Can anybody please help me identify the requirements to be able to sign in to Creative Cloud for Desktops?
We are supposed to deploy CC within our organization but our desktop security environment apparently prohibits to launch CC for Desktops.
- Windows 7 Professional 64bit
- Internet connection via proxy with PAC file
- CC for Teams
- CC for Desktops version 1.9.0.465
- valid Adobe ID (works in unprotected environment)
- no firewall rules block port 443
- went through all the documentation available on the net, including

Adobe air with flex, file new, open and save for Desktop software program

I already have a headache from all the searching. I cannot believe this to be such a confusing topic as every software program we create must be able to save user input, right.
Here is the problem:
Novel writing software program Main window has tabnavigator with four navigatorcontent pages 1. characters, 2. worlds, 3. objects, 4. Editor
Each navigatorcontent page has user input fields in the form of textinput component, textarea component, richtexteditor component, etc.
problem 1:
The user needs to be able to open a new project and give it a name and state where it must be saved. All user input in the Novel writing software program must be attached to the file name the user specified - cannot give sample code cause I don't even know where to start looking anymore.
Problem 2:
If the user has now defined a new project name, all his input from the different input components has to be compiled into a single file that can be saved. (Dan Pichelman gave me a satisfactory answer on using the file.borwseforsave funtion.) That makes sense, but I first need to get all the user input into that single file. I was convinced that it must be an xml file and that there would be a guide on how to do this but...
Problem 3:
This brings me to another problem. All the pages I've researched so far tell me how to load data from an xml file into a component, but not how to write the text from the component into the xml file. And this xml file cannot be the prefs file in the storage directory, it has to be named by the user and then after filling in all his text in the different tabs of the software, must be saved in this xml file and saved where the user chooses.
Problem 4:
now that the user put in his text and it is written to an xml file that he has named and set the path to, he goes on vacation and in two weeks opens his saved file to work on his project again. All the data that was stored in the xml must now be written back into the different user input components so he can continue working on his project, truth be told, there are some samles and tutorials on this subject, but again from only a single page perspective not a multiple tab perspective.
Problem 5:
Now the user has deleted and/or changed some text he put in when he started, he wrote some more text in the textareas and texteditor and he clicks the file - save button. The xml file or whatever needs to be used must be updated and saved with all the changes overwriting the old file.
Problem 6:
The data entered by the user will end up being a book of say 400 pages. This data will obviously be mostly in the richtexteditor component, so whatever method of saving is used, database or xml or whatever, needs to be able to contain all this data.
Thought, if you are working with for instance, microsoft powerpoint, it has multiple pages all containing different user inputs and when you click flie - save, it saves all that input into one file. When I as a user opens that saved file it loads all that content back into its place and I can change and manipulate the input and save it again. I would have thought this would be one of the first things adobe or any other software would teach as this is what sofware programs are all about. But alas, the tutorials on this subject for adobe air for Desktop application is extreeeeemely rare.
My promise is, if someone can help me with this or there is a tutorial out there that covers this properly I will write a tutorial on this for other newbies as I progress step by step.

Take one integer value attribute in the context of view
when you r performing action on POP1 set it's value to 1
when you r performing action on POP2 set it's value to 2
create one method which receives integer argument, say diaplay(int a)
In the action call display(wdContext.currentContextElement().get<intvariable>()) by passing the value in the context attribute
in display() method, Check the value of integer variable..
if it is 1 then perform action related to POP1
if it is 2 then perform action related to POP2

u can use the method SUBSCRIBE_TO_BUTTON_EVENT of the IF_WD_WINDOW interface ... to handle the event fired by the popup .....used this method after creating the popup window ...

know how to do it.
Where can I find a good tutorial on creating views in SQL Server in Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop? I think Visual Studio Express 2013 for Desktop doesn't have some view designer that
exists in the non-express version of Visual Studio (if I'm not mistaken). So I think I'd need a tutorial on how to do the actual SQL, unless there is some tool I don't know about.

According to your description, if you install SQL Server SQL Server 2014 Express and SQL Server Manager Studio tools (SSMS), if you want to create a view, you can use SSMS. Then if you want to connect to and Diagram your SQL Express Database in Visual Studio
2013, you can attach the database file by using the .NET Framework Data Provider for SQL Server in Visual Studio, and create a database diagram via expanding the “Database Diagrams” node.
