NWBC report 404 error
Hi All,
When I tried to log on our portal system via NetWeaver Business Client today, it gave me the error "Failed to load content from connection EP Dev! (error: page not found (404))".
I tried to type the portal address in the IE address bar, everything seems to be okay.
Any idea how could it happened?
Thanks in advance,
YiNing
I'm geting the exact same error so if someone has any help with this issue it would be great.
Cheers
John

Getting 404 error when trying to create a powerview report from a BISM (SharePoint 2013)
When clicking on the BISM file, I would get a 404 FILE NOT FOUND.
But when I go through the menu of the BISM file and click on Create Power View Report, it will works, but not when i left click on the file. Please help. Thank you.Hi,
According to your description, you have a .bism file in your library, when you left click it, a 404 error would be thrown. However, when you use the context menu of it to do
the same job, it works without error.
As you can create a Power View Report with this file successfully, the file would be ok.
Please check that whether the library you use had been modified.
You can also create a new Document Library and do the test there in case it is a library issue.
Feel free to reply with the test result if the issue still exists.
Best regards

404 Error when opening Web Analysis
I have just finished setting up a System 9 test environment (my first environment), which includes Reporting and Analysis System 9 release 9.3.1.2.00. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble getting Web Analysis to open. When I go to the URL (http://localhost:16000/WebAnalysis/WebAnalysis.jsp), I get the following 404 Error:
Error 404--Not Found
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
+10.4.5 404 Not Found+
The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent.
If the server does not wish to make this information available to the client, the status code 403 (Forbidden) can be used instead. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address.
The strange thing is, if I open up Workspace on the same server (http://localhost:19000/workspace/), it comes up just fine. I'm very new to Hyperion System 9, so I'm not even sure where to begin. I've already stopped/restarted all of the services and rebooted the servers. I've also tried re-running the Configuration Utility to re-deploy the application server and re-configure the web server, but that didn't fix it either. And for what it's worth, I've tried using the actual server name in the URL instead of 'localhost' and I get the same error. I also tried launching Web Analysis from Workspace -- same error.
Can you provide any suggestions on where I can start to look?I don't know what the cause of the problem was, but a reinstall of Reporting and Analysis - System 9 UI Services (Web Analysis) fixed it.

No connection to new install of WSUS, 404 errors in log
I am attempting to move WSUS from a functional Windows 2008 R2 server to a Windows Server 2012 R2 environment. There are no connection problems to the old server. However, I cannot get clients - including the Win2012 server itself - to connect
to WSUS. The logs on the two machines I have been testing with show 404 errors, and the connection attempt ends with an error code of 80244019. I have set up WSUS in a test environment, as well, and receive the same errors. Any assistance
would be very welcome.
This is the log from the last connection attempt on a Win7 machine:

consistent 404 errors...
I don't see the initial WUA service startup messages, so I'm guessing that based on the errors thrown, you haven't configured the WUServer correctly for WS2012R2 WSUS 6.3
WSUS used to use http/80, and http/8530 was optional, but, now http/8530 is the default, so if you aren't setting WUServer (through registry or GP) with the port specified, the client will default to port 80, and it won't get much on that port other than
constant 404's.....
If you are setting WUServer=http://hvdata02, you should be setting instead: WUServer=http://hvdata02:8530

XDB Web Service Feature - Getting 404 error
Hi,
I have successfully setup the native WS servlet in XDB (orawsv, 11.1.0.7). But when I try to invoke the URL: http://<DB Host>:<Port>/orawsv?wsdl , I get a 404 response.
I checked the servlet config file, and here is the entry for orawsv:

<description/>
<role-name>XDB_WEBSERVICES</role-name>
<role-link>XDB_WEBSERVICES</role-link>
</security-role-ref>
</servlet>
I seem be running out of debugging options. Any help will be appreciated!

Osb cluster- HTTP proxy service 404 error
Hi All,
I have a cluster set up with 2 managed servers. I crated a Any SOAP proxy from sbconsole to test If I can reach managed server form an external service. I do not have front load balancer set yet.
osb server1: rdoelapp001011:61703
osb:server2:rdoelapp001013:61703
admin server : rdoelapp001011:61701
when I am trying to access http proxy using any of osb server host and port I am getting 404 error ( From the admin console I could see all the servers are running)
surprisingly I am getting success (200) when I am using admin server host and port.
That means the proxy is not got deployed to the managed server, it deployed to admin server
I looked into few weblogic/OSB document, I could not see anything specific regarding deploying HTTP proxy to osb servers in a cluster
How would I make sure to deploy to the cluster not to admin server
I also tried creating a file poller proxy to see if I get "Managed server" option to set. But I do not see that option here.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Edited by: 818591 on Feb 21, 2011 8:52 PMAccording to your suggestion, I created a domain from scratch using config wizard with a cluster with two managed server
I started admin server then started managed server
I do not have any JMS stuff created/configured yet
while starting up managed OSB server I am getting below error. I think it is related JMS reporting stuff. In my scenario we do not need any reporting feature.
How would I disable it? while creating domain I did not select the ckeckbox for reporting. Then where did it come from?
Please suggest.

OBIEE 10.1.3.2 version : 404 error when presentation services started
Hi ,
Installed OBIEE 10.1.3.2 in windows 7 in compatilibily mode
And the BI server and presentation services started.
then started the ocj4 instance and then started the presentation services but it resulted in a 404 error webpage instead of answers.
Page referred is :
http://user-pc:9704/analytics
Normally its a localhost is what I see but this is different.
Please guide me in identifying what went wrong
Thanks,
Karthik MI have the identical error message.
It is definitely a bug. If anyone can prove me wrong, I'd be interested to hear.
It comes up under certain scenarios.
I have four metrics:
"Sales" from sales table. Normal Summing Aggregation.
"Markdown" from markdown table. Normal Summing Aggregation.
"Test Metric" from inventory table. Normal Summing Aggregation.
"Stock on Hand" from inventory table. Dimensional summing. LAST for time. Sum for all Other dimensions. (You don't add up the stock on hand for each day during the month, you look at your final position)
I can do anything with the first three metrics and never see the error message.
If I try to create a report:
Product, Time, Stock on Hand, Sales, Markdown
Then I see the error message.
I can force the error to disapear by doing either of the following:
A) If I move the Stock on Hand to the right so the report is:
Product, Time, Sales, Markdown, Stock on Hand
B) If I put "Test metric" anywhere on the report, then I no longer see the error message.
There is a bug with the LAST aggregation function. I think the LAST time function would be a similiar sort of logic to YTD, AGO, etc... as noted above.
Given from what I've seen, the only temporary workaround seems to be to add an extra metric to the report or to move certain metrics to the right side. -

Published Flash module and 404 errors in the web server log
I’ve created a Presenter module, published it to my computer, and uploaded all the files to a web server. And it plays fine via the web.
The odd thing is a bunch of 404 errors in the web log:
10.1.2.104 - - [29/Jul/2009:10:36:00 -0700] "GET /repository/university/courses/3/flash/data/spk10821.1.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 255 "-" 1166 419
10.1.2.104 - - [29/Jul/2009:10:36:29 -0700] "GET /repository/university/courses/3/flash/data/spk10821.1.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 255 "-" 1166 419
10.1.2.104 - - [29/Jul/2009:10:36:57 -0700] "GET /repository/university/courses/3/flash/data/spk10821.1.jpg HTTP/1.1" 404 255 "-" 1166 419
In the data directory there is a file named spk10821.jpg that was generated by Presenter. The image is actually the presenter bio photo that would normally show up in the sidebar -- but no photo is there. The browser never requests the valid spk10821.jpg file, only the non-existent spk10821.1.jpg path.
Anybody know why this would be happening? I see in data/viewer.xml there is a tag for <image>spk10821.1.jpg</image> but I don’t know why Presenter would mention that file in the XML but generate a differently-named one in the publish folder.
I’m wondering if I should have the web server rewrite requests with the ".1.jpg" ending to get rid of the ".1" part so they will work.
By the way, this is with PowerPoint 2003 SP3 and Presenter 7.0.1.Hi Daniel,
I am assuming that you are using Visual Studio 2010 to target the .Net framework 4.0
Crystal Reports 2008 is not compatible with VS 2010. Use [Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010|Crystal Reports for Visual Studio 2010 Production Release Now AvailableCystlR%2528SAPWeblogs%253ACrystal+Reports%2529] to target .Net framework 4.0.
Deploy the application using the methods specified in the 'Deployment' section of the [CR for VS 2010 .Net SDK developer guide|http://help.sap.com/businessobject/product_guides/sapCRVS2010/en/crnet_dg_2010_en.zip].
See if you can reproduce the issue after redeploying the application as mentioned above.
Few questions-
- Is it the dev machine or production machine causing the issue?
- OS version?
- What does the application do? i.e. view, export, print report?
- Issue is with some reports or all the reports.
See if there is an image on the report, remove the image and add it as a picture object ' Insert --> Picture' from the CR designer.
Hope this helps,
Bhushan. -
Troubleshooting 404 errors discovered through dynaTrace
I'm using RoboHelp 9.0.2.271 on a Windows 7 64-bit machine to generate a WebHelp project. Everything appears to be fine in the source files and in the output files when I test locally and/or in a build.
I received a message from development that they used something called dynaTrace to test for errors in the build. They sent a list of seven 404 errors logged by the application. The list looks similar the attached screenshot of two (fake) examples.
When I look at the folder where I deliver the output files to development, I see all of the files that are listed under the URI column and the Referrer column, with only a few exceptions for two of the entries. I'm not familiar with troubleshooting the help in this manner and was hoping someone else can shed some light. There are no apparent broken links in the project.
In case these details are helpful, I work exclusively on my hard drive when using RoboHelp. I store the source files through Tortoise SVN. I deliver the output (WebHelp) files to development by copying the contents of my WebHelp folder from my local output folder and pasting them to a location on the network for development to retreive.
Thanks for any help!Adding some updates in case any of this rings a bell for anyone. Development did another build last night and ran dynaTrace again. The graphics I re-linked yesterday no longer appear as missing. However, in today's report, additional graphics appeared to be missing (that didn't show up in yesterday's report). One was in a topic that was impacted yesterday for a different graphic (which didn't appear as an issue yesterday). Another one was in a different topic that was not impacted before. Again, when I open RoboHelp and look at the topics and images, they appear to be linked properly. I am not familiar with how dynaTrace actually tests for missing files. RoboHelp shows no broken links or missing images. Not sure yet if it makes a difference, but most of these "missing" images are located within expanding hotspots.
I did find some info on the one file that showed up yesterday and today. The /test/testhelp/contentlist.xml file is missing from the /test-samplesite/test/whskin_mbars.htm referring page. From what I understand, this file is only needed when DUCC is used in a project. We are not using DUCC in this project.

same user account, same session - running Firefox as a standard user, there's one particular website where I get a 400 and 404 error. Closing Firefox then reopening by right clicking and running as administrator it works. Why? I have no extensions and all add-ons are either up to date or if not, have tried disabling with no resolution of problem.
Hello,

#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.

Switching theme gives WWV_FLOW_DISP_PAGE_PLUGS HTTP 404 error ORA6502
I have a default theme of Blue and had customised one template for the Reports theme and named it 'Customised Theme'. I had created 2 themes Sand and Business. After I switched theme to sand I get an error in the pages that I created the customized template.
[Mon Feb 27 10:20:22 2006] [error] [client ] [ecid: ] mod_plsql: /pet/f HTTP-404 ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW_DISP_PAGE_PLUGS", line 907
ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW_DISP_PAGE_PLUGS", line 360
ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW", line 9307
ORA-06512: at "FLOWS_020000.F", line 236
ORA-06512: at line 10
I changed the template from 'Customised Theme' back to 'Reports region', tried switching it back again. Still the same error. I no longer use the 'Customised Theme', but still it gives me an error in the same page.
It gives this error in both the Sand and Business Theme. I deleted the themes and recreated the themes and still get the same error.
I created a new theme Theme 10, and switched it to this theme. There is no error and it gets displayed correctly.
How can I switch theme to Sand now and what is that error?
ThanksWhenever you make any changes affecting the behaviour of the page, the page gives a HTTP 404.
For example, I just changed the authentication to use my customised authentication, then I get the error. If I change it to database, then it works.
But again, after that if I change it back to customized authentication, AND change it to enable security, then it works.
In my local when I removed the Security it worked, but now when I add one more parameter to the URL Redirect for example add P30_EDIT_FLAG with a value of Y, it starts giving an Error.
If you want to simulate this behaviour in HTMLDB, just keep toggling between the SSP and Authentication, then you can get the 404 error. For example, first time if it works, then make any change - for example the SSP or Authentication, then it fails, if it fails, Make one more change (again either SSP or authentication - anything) then it succeeds. -
As you can see, this problem is evolving. Now, I can download Firefox (thanks to Amistree -- sorry, I know that spelling is wrong) but once I close Firefox, I cannot re-open it. I get that same Google 404 error message. So I need to keep downloading Firefox. I will say that, once downloaded, I do have all my tabs, ext. still in place. This is so weird!
Thanks for any help anyone can suggest.Hello,
Certain Firefox problems can be solved by performing a ''Clean reinstall''. This means you remove Firefox program files and then reinstall Firefox. Please follow these steps:
'''Note:''' You might want to print these steps or view them in another browser.
#Download the latest Desktop version of Firefox from http://www.mozilla.org and save the setup file to your computer.
#After the download finishes, close all Firefox windows (click Exit from the Firefox or File menu).
#Delete the Firefox installation folder, which is located in one of these locations, by default:
#*'''Windows:'''
#**C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
#**C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox
#*'''Mac:''' Delete Firefox from the Applications folder.
#*'''Linux:''' If you installed Firefox with the distro-based package manager, you should use the same way to uninstall it - see [[Installing Firefox on Linux]]. If you downloaded and installed the binary package from the [http://www.mozilla.org/firefox#desktop Firefox download page], simply remove the folder ''firefox'' in your home directory.
#Now, go ahead and reinstall Firefox:
##Double-click the downloaded installation file and go through the steps of the installation wizard.
##Once the wizard is finished, choose to directly open Firefox after clicking the Finish button.
Please report back to see if this helped you!

404 error when I try to access OpenDocument on BO XI 3.1
I'm using (HowToViewWebiReports) sample provided by ([SAP Business Intelligence Developer SDK Library|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/boc/sdklibrary])
In few words, it lists reports names from my repository and then it builds a URL to view that report using OpenDocument .NET implementation
here is an example of what it gives:
http://boxi:8080/OpenDocument/opendoc/opendocument.aspx?iDocID=1491&sType=wid&sWindow=Same&token=BOXI.acc.com:6400@550712JI2C0FsC1GEjYlZF220711JtYx5Qcmne53rzlz
which leads to 404 error page!
Why?
How can I verify that OpenDocument (.NET) is installed properly ? 'cause when I logged in to my BO server I didn't find (OpenDocument) web application listed in IIS manager !? does that mean it is not installed? !
if yes, then how can I install it ?
Thanks in advance

HTTP 404 error occurs randomly when navigating to HTMLDB pages
Oracle support have asked me to raise this issue here (ref TAR 4248522.999).
Environment:
Windows 2003 server
Oracle DB version 10.1.0.2.0
Oracle HTMLDB v 1.6.0.00.87
Problem:
When navigating to an HTMLDB page using a list item, an HTTP 404 error occurs randomly. There is no error in the database alert log BUT the following error is reported in the Apache log file which is recorded whenever the HTTP 404 error occurs:
[Thu Jan 20 09:58:48 2005] [error] [client 10.25.22.163] [ecid: 1106215128:10.25.22.53:3576:3352:23759,0] mod_plsql: /pls/htmldb/f HTTP-404 ORA-00001: unique constraint (FLOWS_010600.WWV_FLOW_DATA_IDX1) violated

A list item is being used for navigation. It has been setup with a target type of 'Page in this Application' and a Page number of a page in the application. The checkbox 'reset pagination for this page' has been
checked. The problem occurs when launching the application directly in a new browser or
when running the application using the Application Builder's run application.
The error occurs intermittently.I'm from support , The customer has open an SR
TAR:4248522.999 to this issue.
He updated the SR with following.
I have not been able to re-produce this problem with the sample application.
