I have download NWCE 7.2 Trial Version from SDN. By Default the service pack is SP01. Hence i want to install SP03 .Is that Possible...? Please help me..

JCo 3.0 connectivity issues between Java application on NWCE and ERP

Requirement: We have a Java application that would run on NWCE. This application will be invoked from ERP/SAPGUI via HTML Controller. With SSO enabled, the goal is to pass ERP credentials to CE application. This CE application in turn will use ERP credentials from Logon ticket to connect to ERP and invoke BAPI calls (JCo 3.0 destination)
System Information:
CE System: SAP NW CE 7.2 SPS 04
ERP: SAP ECC 6.04
Both systems are trusted using X.509 certificates
Current scnerio:
1) Destination (CE to ERP) - JCo 3.0 using Authetication method of u201CCurrent User (Logon Ticket)u201D
- Web application is unable to find the JCo 3.0 destination.
2) Destination (CE to ERP) - JCo 3.0 using Authetication method of u201CTechnical Useru201D
- Web application is able to find the JCo destination
Any assiatance in resolving the issues would be appreciated ....

Unable to Deploy and Run a WebDynPro Application in NWCE 7.1 DS

I have successfully built a test application in WebDynPro within the NWCE 7.1, but every time I try to deploy and run the application I get the following error:
No default system is configured in SAP System Registry [ERROR: Apr 24, 2008 10:32:51 AM /userOut/daView_category (eclipse.UserOutLocation) [Thread[Worker-19,5,main]] ]
It seems like a straightforward error, but when I go to the System Registry I cannot see how to set up a default system for the application. There is no "DefaultSystem" entry and so I am sure that I have to add one, but cannot find any documentation to help me do this.

First, thanks for the fast responses.
I had gone to SAP AS JAVA preference before, but couldn't figure out how to get my system to show up in the dropdown box. When you put in the server name and the 0 instance, it then finds the system and all instances under the system. That was my missing link.
I can now deploy and run and move on to my next (inevitable) problem.

Deploying a WebDynpro application from NWDS 7.0 on NWCE 7.1

Hi,
I am trying to deploy a simple WebDynpro application in NWDS 7.0. On the server there is NWCE 7.1 installed. When I try that, I always get this error:
Deploymenty Exception: Cannot determine the sdm host (is empty). Please configure your engine/sdm correctly.
I checked the settings in Window->Preferences->SAP J2EE Engine. Everything is set up and seems to work. When I check it either in SAP Management console or in NWDS at J2EE Engine View everything is lighting green.
I've already found about 5 or more threads, where people seem to have the same problem, but in none of them was any solution. And further more everybody was writing about SDM configuration, but in NWCE 7.1 there is no longer any SDM (as it is written in SAP Installation Manual for NWCE 7.1).
Did anyone solve this issue?

Never worked with NW CE. But my guess is that it is a issue with your NWDS which is at a lower version than the server.
As you know NW04's has a SDM.

Deploying MDM Web Dynpro Components on NWCE 7.2 - /wdconfig not displayed

Hi all -
I'm trying to deploy the MDM Web Dynpro Components Framework (the goal is to
have NW CE connect to and 'see' the MDM repositories) and according to the URL
http://help.sap.com/saphelpnwmdm71/helpdata/en/4a/8c20a0dc93203be10000000a42189b/frameset.htm,
one of the steps is to run the MDM Web Dynpro Configuration Manager application
(_http://<server>:<port>/mdm/wdconfig). However, I get an error stating the page
wasn't found (example: Error: Requested file /wdconfig does not exist).
Looking further, I see that WD Framework needs to be configured as a pre-req.
I'm in the JSPM and I see that MDM JAVA WD FRAMEWORK 7.1 7.11, MDM JAVA API Library
and MDM Java Connector needs to be deployed (JAVA API and Connector are first).
Under the 'Deployed Components' tab in JSPM, I see :

and install guide for both.

Hi - thanks for the followup.
I have the correct SCAs. I have done the following:
UNDEPLOY both components
Restarted the services
Deployed the JAVA_API first
Restart services
Deployed the Framework
Restarted the services
Yes, even though the docs said I can deploy them in order, I think there may have been
a few hitches that the error logs didn't catch.
Specifically, when I re-deployed the FRAMEWORK 7.1 7.11, there were now 19 components
listed instead of one.
I am able to go to ~mdm/wdconfig now.
However, I get a new message:
"You are not authorized to use MDM Web Dynpro Components Configuration Manager".
Even though I'm the Administrator?
I did see in the docs that I need to create a Project first and that the userID that logs in
should exist in UME and the MDM system.

I am looking into that now. I think I will close this thread and start a new one

Based on the Java trouble shooting guide 'error 2150' indicates that a core service failed to start. http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/(JSTTSG)(Kernel)ExitCodes. Based on the threads below it could be Oracle listener related.

so the installation was sucessful..

Update from NWCE 7.1 SR5 to NWCE 7.11 EHP1 SP3

Hi,
I would like to update from NWCE 7.1 SR5 to NWCE 7.11 EHP1 SP3 using ceupdatemanager.exe. Is that possible?
The server is behind a proxy with authentication, is the update manager able to handle this? What are other possibilities?

I've begun my upgrade of CE 7.1 SP6 to CE 7.11 SP3
I opened a Message with SAP and they suggested I use "SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 ‒ Update to SP03
or Higher of SAP Enhancement Package 1"
Of course SAP recommends you use consulting to help with the install/upgrade.
Basically download the packages from service.sap.com and follow ceupdatemanager executions.
I've run into a road block, the server0 node after the Offline JSPM deployment will not startup again (Phase 3 of 5), the upgrade has failed because the engine didn't start back up after a boat load of time.
com.sap.engine.services.dc.api.deploy.EngineTimeoutException: [ERROR CODE DPL.DCAPI.1041] Deploy API could not retrieve the Result after 7200000 ms.
Possible reasons:
        1.J2EE Engine cannot start.
                Please check in Sap MMC or jcmon the engine status.
                        -If the server is stopped please check the server log files why the engine cannot start.
        2.Engine is up and running but deploy controller could not be looked up due to some Runtime exception.
                Please start telnet session to the SAP Application Server , check if the tcbldeploy_controller service is started.
Archive with all relevant logs and traces is created in /usr/sap/DOA/J23/j2ee/JSPM/log/errorReport.zip
JSPM version is 7.11.3.0.15. Current JSPM log directory is /usr/sap/DOA/J23/j2ee/JSPM/log/log_2009_10_17_19_49_38.
So This is what I'm going through to upgrade the system to CE 7.11 EHP1 SP3, let me know if you started or are thinking about it and if you uncovered any more information that could be usefull.
If the OSS message I opened for my problem doesn't come back soon, I'll post my problem on this forum maybe someone did this too.

NWCE 7.1 - Layout's HoriszontalSashPosition and VerticalSashPosition

In NWDS 7.0 I can insert a T-layout in a window and control positioning of individual frames by specifying the layout's HoriszontalSashPosition and VerticalSashPosition propreties. How can I do this in NWCE 7.1?

In 7.1 you basically use containers.
In the design board drag a panel from the compose panel and set the layout property to horizontal flow or vertical flow. A small arrow in the upper left hand corner of the shape shows you the current flow. All elements inside the panel will be arrange according to the layout property.
For complex layouts you can use nested panels.

I'm trying to run a form on WebDynpro NWCE (Java only), and I receive the following exception:

I'm new to AdobeForms and the last statement ("Check the Resource Manager!") means nothing for me. I'm actually not sure the configuration of AdobeDocumentService is correct. The configuration check succeeds (as explained in the config guide), but then - why this problem appears?
Is there some simple WebDynpro application, which uses an Adobe Form, that can be used just for configuration testing?

1. check if you have made the changes in your EJB code after you changed the type of the data in the DB Table
2. Generated the Entities again for the changed table
3. published the EAR file which contains the changed EJB
As mentioned in my first post, the WSDL file is absolutely fine (the type of the respective attribute is 'String' and not 'boolean) so I think I adopted the EJB appropriately and published ( = deployed) it with EAR. If not I couldn't reimport the Adaptive Webservice Model with the correct attribute type, could I?
Are there more things I have to do with EJB beside deploying it with EAR that it runs correctly?
When generating the entities the Java-Files don't get the same structure as the current ones (in the head of the files) and I get even more errors.
One more thing: In the EJB there is a persistence unit mentioned but I can't find it anywhere? Perhaps I have to modify that unit too?

NWCE 7.1 Web Dynpro applications on Mozilla Firefox

Hi All,
I am worknig on Netweaver CE 7.1 . My web dynpro applicaitons works fine on Internet Explorer 7. But same web dynpro applicaiton when i run from Mozilla Firefox 3.0.7 , spacing between UI elements is changed. Also some UI elements like input fields, textview appear smaller than IE. I would like to know following
1. does NWCE 7.1 support Mozilla Firefox
2. If yes how can i resolve my issue
3. Do I need to change version of Mozilla Firefox
4.Do some changes from Application side

As per the PAM (Product Availability Matrix for SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1), Firefox 1.5 to 2.0 are supported.
The PAM can be accessed on the service.sap.com/support portal.

Hi,
I am referening an excercise from TechEd 08 contents. Is there any place from where I can get the solution contents for working the excercises?
For example the excercise "BPM360_Solution_Modeling a Business Process Using SAP NetWeaver BPM and SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1.1 EHP1" refers to a development component "bpm360_wd_sol" in page number 23. Where can I get these DCs mentioned in such excercises.

The development port of SAP NWCE 7.1 with EHP1

all,
can any one give me the NWCE71 port list ? Now My customer manage their internal network firmly, we can't operate the computer server fully, we must submit request to customer to open the NWCE71 ports whihc are required for development/deploy my program, but which port is required ? can you give me the full port list?
