NWDS 7.11 ceclt nwcetool is missing

Hi!
After installing NWDS 7.1 EhP1 I now urgently miss the ceclt tool which was formerly (in NWDS 7.10) located under ...SAP\IDE\CE\eclipse\tools\nwcetool\
I need this tool urgently to convert my EAR project to an SDA file using the ceclt function createsda, because at customer's site deployments are only allowed using JSPM.
Where can I find this functionality in NWDS 7.11?
Despite from the format conversion from ear to sda I need this tool to explcitely set vendor and version number. A direct deployment form NWDS always sets sap.com as vendor and a timestamp as version.
Please help!
Thanx in advance!
Regards,
Volker

Hello Volker
As of 711 the tools are located inside the DICLIENTS.SCA (also the
nwcetool you are looking for).
From 7.11 onwards the DI commandline tools are not provided in the
eclipse/tools folder anymore.
Instead they are provdided in NWDS as an eclipse application and in
DICLIENTS SCA as deploy archive tcdicmd_tools~sda.sda
This SDA is deployed per file system deployment. Alternatuvely  this SDA
can be extracted from the SCA and then unzipped to get a ZIP archive
that contains the DI command line tools.
You find the SCA here:

  • No Quick PAR Upload in NWDS 7.10 ?

    Hi,
I installed the new NWDS 7.10, but I'm missing the upload function to the portal for my Portal Application. In previous version I used the Quick PAR Upload & the Backend System Configuration.
In the new Version 7.10 I've done the Backend Config too, but I didn't find any button or menu managing the deployment to the portal.
I checked out other treads on SDN allready, but only found hints relating previous versions of NWDS.
(e.g. How to deploy PAR File on portal??)
    Does anyone have a hint?
    Thanks.
    Michael

    Hi Paraveen,
thanks for your fast reply. O.K., back to the roots. Think I have to use the uploader in the portal..
    Have a nice day.

  • Changes in lea component.

    Hi Gurus.
    Please help!!!!!
We are on portal 7.0  and we have to make some changes in the leave request application.
I have the DC for lea component. If I try to import it in nwds directly it gives error of missing libraries and many other  references.
Please suggest if it is possible to do this without NWDI.
Also is it possible to get this dc directly in the track created instead of importing the whole ess business package in the track.
    Regards;
    Anzar

You import a SC from track.
    With SC comes all DCs
Now until and unless you do not create a project for DC they do not come in your local workspace for modification.......
You can opt to only create "lea" project DC in workspace.
Wise decision would be to also create all dependent DCs project. (they will come as filled green triangle on DC name)
If your NWDI has been recently set up and you are the first person modifying it...then make sure it has been correctly set up.
For this refer to SAP note : 872892 (attached NWDI cookbook pdf)

  • Running ant build scripts from cmd fails on Windows Server

    Hi all!
I'm trying to build and package ME on a Windows Server calling the ant build script targets from cmd. This works fine on a Windows XP machine. On a Windows Server machine however the ant internal calls to nwcetool.bat are failing because -files are not found in DEPLOYARCHIVES. And these files are really not there although they should have been created by nwcetool.
Does anyone have a clue why calling ant build script in cmd on a Windows XP machine will work but fails on Window Server?
    Thanks a lot!

  • TreeByNestingTableColumn UI element

    Hi,
in the "Web Dynpro UI Element Reference Guide" there is
description of the TreeByNestingTableColumn UI element.
However, in the NWDS I could not find it in any group
of UI elements. Is the NWDS support for this UI element
    missing?
    regards
    Sasa

This is a special type of table (master) column. It can only be aggregated to a table, not used standalone.
You find it in NWDS in the <b>outline view</b> of the view designer. Open the context menu on a table elment and select "Insert MasterColumn".

  • Reg. files  missing in NWDS

    Hi all,
I am having an issue regarding NWDS i.e. when I took backup  of the applications for reinstallation of  NWDS, .classpath,.metamodel,.project,.tssapinfo etc files are missing from my applications. Now I am unable to open these applications in NWDS ,its giving an error that .project is missing .I reguest  kindly to  give your valuable suggestions for getting these file back in my applications   so that i can proceed further in developing my application.I am inneed of it.
    thanking you
    Aravind

    Hi Aravind
When you create an "empty project you will get those missing files e g .project, .classpath. Then you just import your backuped files that contains your views, component(s), windows etc.
Of course you probably need to modify your buildpath if you have dependencies in your project that is not standard.
Maybe I'm not understanding you correctly?

    Hi,
based on this help [Simple Sample Installation and Configuration|http://esworkplace.sap.com/socoview(bD1lbiZjPTAwMSZkPW1pbg==)/get_mime.asp?id=B135A510223D467B89186B000A89F777&filename=Simple%3FSample%3FInstallation%3Fand%3FConfiguration.pdf&packageid=DE0426DD9B0249F19515001A64D3F462] I try to config the prerequisites to get the samples running.
Like described at chapter 3.3 SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio (NWDS) in NWDS under "Web Service Configuration" two destinations ERP and ERP_META should be created.
In my case the option "Service Registry" at "Destination Type" is missing.
    May anybody help me?
    Best regards

    Hi John,
I think the screenshot is wrong.
You can use WSIL to configure the backend system.
The WSIL url for ABAP systems is http://[host]:[port]/ sap/bc/srt/wsil?sap-client=[client_no]

  • XMAU 3.0 project export from NWDS missing jar-s???

    Hi experts.
I would like to modify a standard xMAU3.0 source code. I installed MI sp 21, NWDS + MDK plug-in.
I imported the xmau 3.0 war file which contain the original source code.
I can't export the new code, because of there are some missing jar file. I found some in MI directory. (mbscore.jar ;datetimepicker.jar  etc.), but I could not find the mpa.jar. This jar contains the com.sap.mbs.push.... packages
I cannot rebuild the project and create a new war file without this jar.
Where can i find this file. Or what would be the problem?
    thanks a lot

    Solved.
The mau_eclipse.war contain the missing jar file.

    Hi,

  • Imported par file to NWDS, jar file missing. Where find par file structure?

    Hi All,
We want to implement idle session timeout on the portal.  We found a wiki here on the subject.  In order to implement the solution we need to make adjuestments to com.sap.portal.navigation.masthead.par.bak.  When we import this par file to Netweaver Developer Studio, the libraries and jar files are missing.  So obviously it errors then in portal as files are missing.
So I could add them manually but I don't know what the file structure is on this par file so don't where to add what.  Does anyone know?
Also when I export the file after manually adding the missing files, will it export all the files or will it behave the same way as the import and leave out the additional files?
If anyone could help, I'd really appreciate it,
    Kind regards,
    Liz.

    Hi Bala,
I thought of that just before you responded and it worked!!  Thanks for the response..

  • Missing Jars in NWDS

    Hello,
I am using the Navigation Service in a PAR component. The jar for relevant classes like NavigationNodes.classs is in com.sap.portal.navigation.api_service_api.jar . I can find this jar on the WEBAS engine under irj but the jar does not exist in my local NWDS eclipse/plugins folder.
I can get around the problem by taking a local copy of the JAR but should'nt the jars match between engine and NWDS?
    Thanks
    Tahir

    Hi Tahir,
NWDS doesn't come with all the JAR files. Time to time you have to grab the jar files from portal installation directory.

    Thanks

At the website http://sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/nw-ce-downloads it is possible to download multiple versions of the Netweaver Developer Studio with different capabilities.
SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 SR5 Developer Edition.  Download/Install for Netweaver Developer Studio has download file SDN_Preview_SR_5_IDECE71.rar
EHP1 for SAP NetWeaver Composition Environment 7.1 - Preview Version includes SAP Business Process Management Download/Install has download file  CE711SP1_IDE_SDN-Preview.rar
In the details (ie not on the overview on http://sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/nw-ce-downloads ) it states version information what to use each type of download for.

  • IJCOClientService class missing in NWDS

I imported some portal 5.0 projects by using the PAR-import of the SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.9. After the import I had some classpath problems. Some I could fix, but I can't find the class com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.jco.IJCOClientService or any of the com.sapportals.portal.prt.service.jco.* classes. I used WinRAR to search the JAR-libraries.
Can somebody please tell me in which JAR-library and in which plugin-folder these JCO-classes can be found in NWDS 2.0.9. Thanks in advance.

  • NWDS 7.0 Error during Quick PAR Upload and while trying Exporting PAR-File

    Hello,
I am trying to use the functions "Export as PAR-File" and "Quick PAR Upload" in NWDS 7.0.
Unfortunately I got an error every time when I am trying to use this functions. I am using the package explorer in the Java perspectiv in NWDS for starting this functions. The error tells me the following:
"Unable to connect to the Portal"
"Operation failed: Please make sure the server "XY" is running or check the log (sap-plugin.log) for more detail"
    Thats all.
When I am looking in the log-file I can read the following messages:
    "ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE resource [keystore-view.TicketKeystore: view-actions: GET_VIEW:ALL]"
    "ACCESS.ERROR: Authorization check for caller assignment to J2EE resource [keystore-view.TicketKeystore: view-actions: IS_VIEW_EXISTS:ALL]"

    LOGIN.ERROR|null|| Login Method=[default] UserID=[user_Admin] IP Address=[192.168.xxx] Reason=[Cannot authenticate the user]
I have tried this with several users and their passwords. All of the users have admin-rights at least in the portal. One of them even in the SDM.
I can sucessfully deploy webdynpros from NWDS into the same Portal with this users.
We are using SAP Logon Tickets and SSO is configured working fine between Portal and backend.
We have imported Key Store File in NWDS unter Window --> Preferences --> Java Development Infrastructure.
And we are not using the NWDI.
Who knows why I cannot even export par-files? Are their any configurations missing?
    Best regards,
    Iris

    It is mentioning about authentication.
check whether you have access to deploy directly or not ? maybe direct deployment into portal disabled .
I think you have to follow the procedure of checkout and activate procedure.
    Can you clarify few things
    1) Are you using NWDI Based Transports in your landscape?
    Login Method=default UserID=user_Admin IP Address=http://192.168.xxx Reason=Cannot authenticate the user
http://192.168.xxx  is it your development portal?
Did you clarify with admin people whether direct deployment disabled?
