hello there.i just purschaced msi nx6600 td256e and i tried to play the game that it was in the package (prince of persia sands of time).the card was successfully installed on the motherboard with the latest drivers and direct x.when i installed the game and tried to play a window occured that said that this card was not supported by the game and that i will have problems.what is going on please help me.

Download the latest patch for the game at http://www.ubi.com/US/Downloads/Info.aspx?dlId=727 (50 kb). That fixes the compatibility issues with the never GF6 cards .

Today i installed Prince of persia Forgotten sands in Xp Sp3.... The game sound is muffled[lack of detail & treble bass is good] while playing, but on cutscenes it's good but low audio output through out the game..... Installed drivers" Daniel Support pack 2.7"... But Badcompany 2 , Split a second and Blur has no problems sound was brilliant, had these muffled audio in some games too eg: X-men, Call of Juarez and most wanted.... But Tried these games on windows 7 no problems with sound quality... Direct X updated to latest... any idea is it with direct sound or anything.... Plz hel pme!!!

Prince Of Persia Sands Of Time Detection

I Have an MSI GForce4 MX440 with AGP 8x 64MB. i just bought Prince of persia sands of time, and the game is not detecting my graphics card. ive tried installing the latest drivers from MSI. but there is no difference. the game requires a GForce 3 equivalent card as minimum. so i dont understand why it isent detecting the gfx card. My system specs are given below. Could someone please please please help me out here.

Audigy 1 Platinum and Prince of Persia:Warrior Wit

Ok, I have an Audigy Platinum. I recently updated to the latest drivers and everything. I usually don't like updating the drivers for this card, but i recently had to due to PowerDVD6 sound not working correctly in 5.. Well I fixed the PowerDVD6 problem, and now have a new problem. I recently installed Prince of Persia :Warrior Within, and once passed the UBI soft logo, the sound shuts off, and I'm left without sound. I also noticed that when I ALT-TAB back to the desktop, I go to my AUDIO HQ, and check the EAX Control panel, and its empty, no presets, or environments.. All I wanna know is, WHAT DO I DO?!!!!
I would hate to have to purchase a new Card, even I understand this is an older card..
Please Help!!:angry:

[GeForce 6] Question about NX6600-TD256E

I've recently aqcuired a new AMD64 based system,the specifications are:
AMD Athlon 64 3000+
K8N Neo 4 Platinum
2x512MB Kingston PC3200
Seagate HDD 120GB(SATA)
NX6600-TD256E
I`m running windows xp sp2
I`ve installed the latest nvidia VGA drivers v71.89, but when i right click on the screen to see the advanced configuration for the screen it doesn`t show me the tabs: MSI Clock , and MSI information, i've tried installing the previous version 66.93 but happens the same thing.
Anybody knows how to fix it??

Yes, you're right. Msi add some features to its drivers and this is one of them. Actually that heppens to me, and even I don't have an MSI vga card, but my card support D.O.T enabled by MSI drivers.

pd and I guess that in the old case you didn't unnistall completely the drivers, you just performed an update... I guess.

Prince of Persia 3D on FX5200-128

Hi ,
:-]]]ALL games are fine, EXCEPT with Prince of Persia 3D(NOT sands of time), it crashes after the first movie logo . The only way to run POP3D is to disabling "direct draw" . the game grafics are still OK, but is soooo slow.

I tested the game with my old vodoo 3 3000 and the game goes perfectly . But with my Geforce FX 5200 the game crashes . I think it could be a "opengl" or "direct3d" configuration of my geforcefx5200, but I don´t know how options try first(so much combined options ).
:idea:One final question, Is that a problem if I put my old vodoo 3 3000 in the same computer with geforcefx5200???

Problems with NX6600 TD256E fan

I'm building a new PC win a NX6600 TD256E. I have no problems until I start testing 3D applications that hang. Then I noticed that the GPU fan of the VGA card stop working after the Windows XP logo get off the screen. First I was using the last driver I get in the Nvidia home page (ver. 71.84), then I download the ver. 71.22 from the MSI site with the same fan problem. I tried to install the drivers in the VGA cd drivers and I couldn´t install them. Then I tried a release 66.93 from the Nvidia site and this driver not turn off the fan.
What's going on here? Is this VGA card not compatible with the lates 7x drivers?

Hi! Same problem with my NX6600 128 PCI Express. This story is incredible. I tried the latest forceware and modified XG drivers but always I got the same result: the fan stops after the driver installation (after reboot, the fa stop immediatly after the Windows XP LOGO). The fan only works with the MSI version downloaded with MSI Live update. Is it possible tha I have to use only MSI drivers? If this is the answer I recommend NOT TO BUY MSI card at all!
Has someone solved the problem in some way?

Prince of Persia the NON HD version

Well I have both HD and nonHD versions, and considering the HD version wasnt intended for the 5800, it lags like hell, so I downloaded the 2D version from Ovi Store, and what do you know, the thing cannot load the 9th stage. Anyone know where to get a correctly running one? Also some games from the store doesnt work. Dont they test them?

[GeForce PCe] Help with TV-out and DVI on NX6600 PCI express

My NX6600-TD256E doesn't give me any output on TV-out (S-vid) or the DVI. The VGA is okay.
On my old Radeon card you had to switch the TV-out on in software. On the NX6600, I can't find anything in software to let me do this. Should the TV-out work all the time or does it need enabling somewhere. I've been through every tab on the Nvidia driver in the system tray and the display properties. The manual doesn't cover my card but a similar model and the screen shots are different.
The DVI doesn't work if I go DVI from the card to DVI on my monitor. The Card is DVI-I and the monitor is DVD-D. I would have thought that this should work. If I use the DVI out through the VGA adapter to go DVI from the card to VGA in on my monitor it works, but this just means there is an analog signal coming out the DVI.
Any help?

Not sure about your card but with most geforce cards, you have to go into the nvida control panel to enable tv out.

[GeForce 6] NX 6600 TD256e`s fun, don´t work with gforce drivers

I´ve un PIV, Intel D915PGN mother board, 1GB RAM and NX6600 TD256E Graphic card.
With the nVidia last drivers, the fan dosn´t work when windows XP SP2 starts .(previously, if i enter in the setup, the fun work every time).
If I replace the driver for standard VGA windows driver, the fun works OK. But, it isn´t the idea.
My power supply is 17 A for 12 W.
What can I do? The consecuences are , in heavy games, the screen freeze and I need to reboot the PC.

If you download and install Coolbits2 you can force the fan on the graphics card to remain on at all times. (Google for it.)

Yup like what Bosskiller say need more informations of your current rig including the PSU and bios revision so others could help you!! What drivers version are you using right now? Tried to used the version 8 as it much more stabile rather version 9. ALso tried to rised the PCi-e bus in the Bios to 104Mhz. Any ocing on your current rig as well as GPU? Gd luck.

Mac Pro 2006 gaming doesn't work

I just bought a 2006 Mac Pro with 2 processors 3.0 dual core each, 4gb ram, graphics card ATI Radeon X1900XT 512mb. It's a fantastic machine, but I'm a little bit disappointed as I can't run games on it. I tried to install Prince of Persia 4 and the gaming is very slow even at the lowest quality, Assassin's Creed II (from the Apple Store) doesn't even let me see the welcome page (I can see only the AC logo on the top left and all the rest of the screen is dark). I mean, this is really strange because the Mac meets the requirements and it should run these games very easily.
At the Apple store the geniuses couldn't (or didn't want to) help me. They tested the hardware and found out a couple of components unplugged, but the hardware was ok. They reset the mac and gave back to me, but the problem is the same as before. I read somewhere about Apple admitting problem with my graphics card, and I suppose the problem is the ATI card, but before buying a new one, (I'm thinking about the ATI radeon HD 5770 which I read is compatible with my mac), I would like to be 100% sure that this would fix my problem.
Is there a way to understand what is the reason of my gaming bug? What do you guys suggest? ...Thanks in advance, cheers.

Yes ALL Mac Pro models can use the 5770 only requirement is 10.6.5 and later.
Are there other options? maybe.
the x1900 at the time was welcomed but was also $399 or BTO for $250.
And it clogs with dust really really bad. So it had to be removed and cleaned regularly.
A lot of hope for a new Mac Edition 7950 but still some small hurdles.
And some go with a PC GTX card.
Mac Pro 3,1 2008+ are a lot better and easier

IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL Problem + Silicon raid issue

got 2 problems with a MSI K8N NEO 4 Platinum
when i play games (raven shield, prince of persia by example) everyone run fine and smooth, even for a long time. But windows crash each time i quit a game... (with an IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error)
i used the SI controller to create a raid 5 group of 3 sata disk. Everything work fine, but 1 time by day SataRaid5 starts automatically a "restore redundaancy" task wich last 3 hours and slown down my computer due to huge disk access. And there's no way i can stop it. Why does it make this so often (because of the windows crash after i played ??.

- MSI K8N NEO 4 Platinum
- corsair twinx 1024 2x512 pc3200 xl
- alim fortron blue storm 500 W
- athlon 64 3200+
- video card : msi NX6600-td128e
- 3 x western digital 80 Go Sata WD800Jd

latest driver from nvidia (video + nforce), bios 1.1, same problem with some overclocking and with the bios default (try a lot of configuration, always the same)
