NX6600GT-AGP VIVO cable/adapter question...

I just bought one of these on eBay. Unfortunately it did not come with the VIVO cable/adapter for the card. I was planning on using the card in a HTPC I'm in the process of building, NOT using the Video-In feature as I already have a Hauppauge PVR-150 capture card, but I WAS planning on using the Video-Out (s-video) to output to my SDTV.  It appears that this card has a 10-pin VIVO connector.  I have a couple of VIVO cables/adapters from older generation Nvidia VIVO cards (one is from a 5900XT the other from a 4200Ti), but both have 9-pin connectors.  The 9-pin cable/adapters seem to plug in OK, the pins line up obviously one of the pins does not get connected, so I was wondering whether or not they will work properly in the 6600GT?  Does MSI offer these for sale separately?  If these two are not options does anybody have the pin-out schematic for the connector?
Thanks!

well you have to connnect it,a drive connector on the psu is fine

  • Cable Adapter Question

    Hey everyone,
Sorry for posting again, something is up with my thread and i cant reply in it. So I am reposting and adding this picture. This is the cable for the monitor that I want to hook up to my iMac. The model number once again is Gateway FPD 1500. The last guy in the other thread said I should get mini-DVI to DVI. Just check with you all to see if this is right. I like double checking. Thanks for all the help everyone, much appreciated.

Wow. That's a 20-pin DFP (Digital Flat Panel) connector. It was an early comptetitor to the DVI Connector, but lost out. It wasn't in use very long and only a handful of graphics cards support it.
Fortunately, you CAN get it to work by combining 2 different adapters. This one adapts DFP to DVI: http://www.computercablesource.com/detail.aspx?ID=69
Then use the mini-DVI to DVI adapter from Apple.

  • NX6600GT (AGP) & power supply

    Hello,
I bought a NX6600GT-VTD128 (AGP) (Europe). The sales package didn't include a power cord (cable). I can see in the instructions manual (general manual for all NX VGA cards) that only the NX6800 series sold with power cable, although the MSI global site have a photo of a power cable in the product  specifications and also the sticker in the sales box, which provides the VGA specifications, is written: " NX6600GT, 128M DDR3,   ...   ,HDTV/VIVO, Power Cable" !!!   Anyway, this is not a problem ( i will istall the VGA directly to the power supply, am i right?) but before i install the VGA i would like to know: I must connect the 4-pin connector with the power supply? I think that YES is the right answer, but i am curious, the 5900ZT & 5900XT which also have a power connector, do they need the extra power connection? You can also view the "note" at the site: The NX6800 series have a note:
    "NOTE:
    1. The supplied power cable must be attached to ensure the card worksproperly.
    2. Always connect or disconnect the supplied power cable when the system power is off."
    which the 6600GT doesn't have.
Some advice from a 6600GT owner about the right connection, would be desirable. Also, did you found a external power cable in your box?? (adapter, TV-out extended cable, HDTV/VIVO cable:OK)
    Thank you

  • What cable/adapter do I need to connect my MacBook Pro to a Sharp Aquos TV?

What cable/adapter do I need to connect my MacBook Pro to a Sharp Aquos TV?
I want to watch videos on youtube or read articles on my laptop, and I want a cable/adapter that will hook up the Macbook to the TV and display the webpage that is on the laptop.

Of course it doesn't. But you can buy an adaptor from HDMI to the Mini-DisplayPort port on the computer.

  • USB to Parallel Cable Adapter not working with New PC and Windows 8.1

With the demise of parallel ports on PCs, I purchased a USB to Parallel cable adapter several years ago.  I used this combination to successfully connect my Apple Laserwriter 16/600PS printer to my HP Pavilion Slimline s7600n PC (running Windows XP, SP3).  I've decided to upgrade, I now have an HP Slimline s5-1020 PC running Windows 8.1.  However, I cannot get the printer to printer properly.  When the print command is executed, the printer spits out page after page of 1-line jibberish at the top of the page.  This continues forever until either the paper runs out or I abort the document by opening the paper drawer.  Only after full shutdown of both printer and computer and reboot of both will the printer clear itself of the corrupted print instruction.
The printer is also connected to an Apple MacIntosh 7200/120 computer via AppleTalk and it prints fine.  Also, I reconnected the printer to my old Slimline s7600n computer and it prints perfectly.  I have to assume that either new PC or OS is the source of the problem.
Any and all help/suggestions would be appreciated.

    Hi,
You have to go to the maufacturer site to check is there any Windows 8.1 driver for it. I know many cable/adapter vendors stopped to develope from Windows 7.

  • HDMI cable/adapter causing feedback interference in studio monitors

Hi I just bought an HDMI cable/adapter to connect my MacBook Pro to my LCD tv and as soon as I connect my studio monitors through my MBox interface, I got really loud CPU feedback through my monitors. Any suggestions? really trying to have a nice studio set up here lol

Thanks for trying to help me out, rsannie.  I had actually figured it out earlier, didn't get a chance to post.  Under Sound, click Recording tab, click the device, click Properties, click Advanced tab, uncheck Enable audio enhancements.  This was what was causing the interference/feedback type noise.
Just for the heck of it, to get better acquainted with the settings, I went to where you suggested but could not toggle that feature on/off.  This feature looks like it deals with the external mic (the ones by the webcam) and not from a source fed through the minijack anyway.

  • Cable/adapter for external hard drive

    Hello,
I was wondering whether or not a cable/adapter such as this would work for connecting an external 2.5 inch hard drive to my ibook.
    Thanks
    12 In. iBook G4 (1.2 ghz)   Mac OS X (10.4.3)   512MB RAM

I see however, that most of them say that they draw power directly from the USB, is this possible?? The reason I am trying to go so cheaply is that i'll only be using it once, to clone my hard drive to a new one which will then go into my ibook.
    Thanks for any replies!

  • IPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter??????

Does anyone know where I can get an iPod Shuffle Sports Case Cable Adapter?
I purchased a Sports Case but it did not come with an adapter. I talked with Apple Support for an hour one day and they said they never heard of such a thing. I told them that it is on the Apple Forum and they still said it does not exist.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be most grateful!!

The adapter is to use non Apple headphones with the case.
The hole in the case is made to fit the Apple headphones, which have a very small covering over the plug.

Unfortunatly if you want to use headphones other than the apple ones, you have to use an adapter that comes with the package and it makes the cord extra long"

  • Is there any esata extender cable adapter for Mac Pro 3.1?

I have a Mac Pro 3.1 with two Quad-Core Intel Xeon @3GHz, and G-DRIVE0G00204 2TB External Hard Drive.
I was told the speed of sSATA cable is 3 times faster compared to firewire 800, but the Mac Pro doesnt provide eSATA port. Is there any solution to make connection with Mac Pro via sSATA cables?
    Thanks.

You do this with a pci slot.  Either the following,

  • Nx6600gt agp up in smoke !!!!!!!!

    warning !
i have buy an nx6600gt agp version two day ago and it already up in smoke ! i have see the fire on a chip trought the windows of my thermaltake case ! After 2 minutes in amd n-bench, the card make artefact. i have restarted the  bench and the computer stop after 2 minutes and the card up in smoke !!!!!!!!!! so i want to know if someone have see this problem on another place on the net ???????????????????????

Read this, maybe it's what happened to you:
    http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2295&p=9
The above article looks like a PCI-E card, but I think the AGP uses the same cooling solution.
The MSI AGP versions of this card are now the cheapest ones listed at pricewatch.com.
That might not mean anything though.
Any retailers reading this can give us the lowdown?
Anyone else have any experience with this card?

  • Cable adapter 183139-02

Does anyone have a pinout diagram for the 68F-50M DIO cable adapter 183139-02? Trying to use a PCI-DIO-32HS card (68 pins connector) to interface with hardware designed to interface with a AT-DIO-32F card (50 pins connector). I believe that cable adapter 183139-02 is the correct part. However, I would like to see a pinout diagram to verify the configuration but could not find anything on the NI website.

I have attached the pinout for you. Have a great day!

  • Cable adapter

what cable adapter do i need to connect G3 to a current cinema display?

What video card do you have have in your G3? You need one with either an ADC or a DVI output to use the current Cinema Displays unless you're willing to purchase a pricey VGA to DVI converter. The new Cinema Display will only work with the new MacBooks that have Mini-DisplayPort, so you can't use that one with your G3 at all.

  • [GeForce 6] Garbled screen on system startup...!!! NX6600GT (AGP)

    Hi,
My system is about 11 months old. Everything ran smoothly until 1 week ago. No idea what happenend then. I started seeing artifacts while playing 3d games. Later artifacts started to appear while playing movies in more than 100% of their original size. Two days ago my screen started to look weired even when booting....?
I press the power button. I see the initial black screen (hardware detection, mem check, bios etc). Strange random and colorful ascii-characters start to appear. Sometimes it becomes so crowded...it looks like a *&E$*^fractal! Once the system boots to OS (WinXP) the screen refreshes and everything looks to be fine. Stange huh? When i play 3d games it's atrifacts all over again. Movie playback seems to be working fine.
First I thought the cause to be a defective MOBO. But when I put my old VGA back in ... al troubles are gone!
What can I do? I tried upgrading the drivers. I checked al connections. I checked system temperatures and power-levels. Nothing!
