I have not had any issue with Itunes on my PC until very recently. Every now and then my Itunes library appears on my screen? I have not clicked the itunes icon beforehand nor plugged in my Ipod Touch? Why does this happen please as it is driving me crazy!.

Thanks for responding. Since I upgraded ITUNES to IOS 6, my IPOD Touch no longer works at all. I had numerous apps, music and videos on this touch. It made me restore to factory reset and it still does not work!!! Nothing I do will work on this touch now. I have so much data on this, I don't want to loose or have to restore!

Recently, U2 music appeared on my ipod without my requesting it or wanting it. I was able to delete all of the songs except for one. How do I delete the last one from my ipod? Do you have the latest version of iTunes for Windows installed? I would turn on the sidebar and the menu bar just to make sure you are seeing everything. If the iPhone is still not recognized in iTunes, follow these troubleshooting steps:

my computer hard drive died rather suddenly so i had no chance to do a back up or any thing. i put itunes on my new computer and got my purchased music but my ipod will not sync and i cannot get my playlists onto the computer. is there any way to get my playlists on my new computer and also get my ipod to sync. it is a waste of time to purchase new music and i do not want to purchase a new ipod since i have so much memory left on this one.
Thank you all for your replies. Here is what i ended up doing. I cannot afford any 3rd party software so i went to itunes and manually entered all my playlists. As I had indicated my purchased music was on my new computer just not the playlists and I could not sync my ipod. After I rebuilt all my playlists I tried to restore my ipod to factory defaults/new. All of the steps called for in apple support and elsewhere were not available to me. I connected my ipod, went to my computer, right clicked my ipod, and formatted. That wiped my ipod so when I connected to itunes it then gave me a restore option. I did the restore and all is good in the empire again. I can now buy new music and sync my ipod so I am a happy camper.

My iPod Touch does not display as a device on laptop(s), although it works fine in ITunes.
I have Windows 7, using latest version of Itunes, problem occurs on 2 different laptops, USB cord is good, Apple Mobile Device is recognized, running. Stopped and restarted AMD. I believe I have completed all available troubleshooting.
My intent was to transfer songs from my iPod to my Itunes library. I found a video on uTube, but the first step is to work with iPod device.

This iPhone is not currently setup to work with carrier you're attempting to use. Please insert another SIM card from a supported carrier or request that this iPhone be unlocked.It sounds like you or someone else hacked the phone to unlock it. Updating it locked it to the original carrier.
How did you unlock it? The ONLY legitimate way is to ask the carrier it is locked to to unlock it. Any other way requires hacking or jailbreaking the phone. -

Itunes freezes when connecting and ipod does not show up
When I connect my nano 3rd gen in windows vista using itunes 9 my ipod does not show up and itunes freezes. the ipod remains with the connected screen and I cannot close out of itunes. Any help would be wonderful... Thanks!!
I have (finally)solved the problem with my iTunes freezing! Here's what I did:
1.I backed up my entire music library to an external hard drive.
2.Then I completely uninstalled iTunes 9 from my computer.
3.After a re-boot I then completely deleted my entire music library. (this can be a little scary so I double checked my music library back up on the external drive)
4.I Googled iTunes 8 and found it at

5. I downloaded it but before I installed it I copied my music library back to my computer. I did not copy everything that was in my original iTunes music folder however, I only copied the music,album art work, applications,games,Tv shoes, and podcasts folders. I placed those folders in a new folder called iTunes on my computer. I did not include any of the iTunes database files eg: .itl / .xml / or .itdb files as these were created in iTunes 9.
6. Now I opened iTunes 8.2 and added all of my music and other media content.
7. Next I attached my iPod nano to my computer. Then Windows automaticly open a window asking me if I wanted to scan for problems or continue without scanning. I had windows scan for problems and once that was done my iPod nano began to sync. Oh what joy!
I think, and this is only a guess based on what I've read here on Apple's discussion pages and my own experience, that there is a problem/conflict or bug with iTunes 9, Windows Vista and the 3rd -4th generation iPod. I will NOT be upgrading to iTunes 9 until Apple has addressed this issue. It seems to me that there are a lot of people having similar issues. -

Windows 7 and counter-strike source shuttering.
I have concluded this is caused by creatives driver by disabling the card in device manager the shuttering is gone. Is there a work in progress for this or some kind of work around until it is fixed?
