Everytime I open iTunes to play music, NOT to access the iTunes Store, I get the password sign in box for the iTunes Store. If I click cansel the box pops up a second time.

When you say 'changed my email with the itunes store and have a new password' do you mean that you've changed the email address on that old account, or are you referring to a different account ?
If you've updated the old account then try logging out of the account on the phone by tapping on the id at the bottom of the Featured tab in the App Store app and then log back in with the updated version.
If they are different accounts then all apps (and other content from the store) are tied to the account that downloaded them, so only that account will be able to download updates to them. For apps like Twitter and Facebook you could delete them from the phone and redownload them via your account so that they are linked to that instead.
If there are apps that have content in them, and you can't copy that content off (so that you can delete the app, buy/download it on your account, and copy the content back), then you will need the password to the old account to be able to update them. You should be able to get it reset via http://iforgot.apple.com -
I just received a replacement iphone (4s with ios7) but whenever I try to log into my itunes store, after I enter my password, it acts as if I never logged in. If I enter an incorrect password it tells me so, but no error message at all when I enter the correct password - nothing happens. My itunes is up to date.
Have you tried going to Settings>iTunes and App Stores (or just Store) and signing out and then signing in again?

Changing the password works for some people but not all. This is reportedly a problem with the iTunes Store that they are aware of and working on.

My i touch wont let me in the itunes store. Keeps asking for my password.
I have a few issues going on...... My i touch is a few years old. The battery wont hold a charge, I can not plug it directly into the computer... not a strong enough charge.
I havent used it in about a year now. I found it this week, tried to use it...every thing works fine..... emails, home security alarm, games,photos, music.All good. Even did updates on apps. But i can not purchase any thing or get into the app store at all. I know my password is correct cause I tried an old one just to check. Different message came up ...wrong password. All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.

If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

Itunes store does not see my account balence
I have a balence in my account from a gift card but Itunes does not see it? This has never happened.
First, make sure you're logged into the iTunes Store using the account ID and password you set up, or used, when you redeemed your card/gift. If you are, try signing out of the account and back in.
If you're sure you are using the correct account and that you're signing in to the iTunes Store, and signing out and back in doesn't help, go to the Purchase History and review your purchases to make sure that you should indeed have a balance left. iTunes doesn't always refresh the balance it shows, so it's possible you spent the money and it just wasn't being reflected in the display. This display error can usually be corrected by logging out of the iTunes Store and then back in.
If you confirm that you should have balance left but the iTunes Store isn't showing it correctly, send a message to the iTunes Store customer service department through the form you'll find by selecting the most applicable section of their Support page and explain the problem to them.

I am using a newly purchased Apple TV in a hotel room that has free wi-fi, the Apple TV has detected the network automatically, I am signed in to the Apple iTunes Store, using my Apple ID, and password, but the screen always says "cannot connect to iTunes Store"
Try streaming other content.
If the hotel's network requires login via webpage then it won't actually be connected and you will need to contact the provider to gain access. -
Cannot create ringtones in iTunes Store.
Hi all... I just got an iPhone and setup/activation all went fine. Then I signed in to the iTunes store to buy some ringtones and it won't let me. I can see the bell icon on ringtone-eligible songs, but when I click it I get a page entitled "Learn more about ringtones for your iPhone" which basically just gives step-by-step instructions on how to do it. At the bottom of the page is a "Go back" button which takes me back to the list of songs. I do not get the ringtone editor.
So I tried it another way... using the "Create ringtone..." command in the Store menu. But I can't click it because it's grayed out.
So then I tried this: i go to my own music library (not the store) and choose a song I already purchased from iTunes that I know is ringtone-eligible. I right-click on the track and choose "Create ringtone..." from the contextual menu. The ringtone editor appears for a like half a second, then disappears and I'm prompted to log in to the iTunes store. So I enter my password and click Sign In and the login prompt appears again. So I try again and the same thing happens yet again. The only way out is to click cancel and give up.
Can someone help me???? It's totally frustrating.I had the same problem until I realized that I first need to buy the song and then create the ringtone from the already purchased song. The instructions could have been made clearer on this, and it would be great if you could use the ring tone creation tool to check if the song really fits before you buy the song…

I can hook to Internet. I can go to iTunes and buy stuff. I can do everything except update aps. I get a message that says cannot access iTunes store after I put in my Password to update anything. The same password works when I go direct to iTunes store for a purchase. Can I reload just the ap store ap?

I've been having the same issue since Friday, just before I updated to iTunes 8. Whenever I try to connect to the store, it says:

My internet is working perfectly with all other applications. This is incredibly frustrating! There's a specific album I want to purchase but it is not available anywhere else for download. -
TS1368 why can't i purchase tunes from itunes store
After i have signed into the itunes store with my apple id and password, i can't purchase any tunes. When i try to, it ask for my apple id and password again. Whe i supply this information AGAIN, i get directed to a page that ask me 2 security questions. I do not know the answers to the questions, because i have never set up any security questions for purchasing tunes fron the store. I have had no similar problems in the past, at least not until this latest itunes store upgrade.
