OAF : Unable to compile OA project

Hi,
I have started using Jdev 10G quite recently for developing OAF applications. However i have hit a road block right in the start. i'm unable to compile my just newly created OA project. following is the error message that i'm getting.
"Include file not found: /jsp/fnd/aolj_check_cookie.jsp"
Any idea why this is happening.

Cannot compile Library project in Flash builder 4: Unable to locate specified base class

I am migrating from Flex builder 3 to Flash builder 4, during that process I found that Flash builder could'nt compile Flex Library projects which contains components in the form of mxml files. Compiler throws "Unable to locate specified base class".
I have narrowed it down to by creating a flex library project named test library, below its screenshot with its package structure

when i compile this project, mxml compiler throws this error

To further test it, I have made another library project with same package structure using pure AS3, and it compiled without errors

It might be this happens and other errors if you forget to Run Flash Builder 4.5 Buritto and startup the other version FB4.
It uses the same project listings and that can be confusing since you're not expecting the old version to be aware of new Buritto (MobileApplications) projects you added (thinking) only to the BETA version installed elseware no doubt.
Well it might not be your problem but worthy of noting for other's I'm sure.
Otherwise you've double checked you're using SDK 4.5 Hero with it too! right?

Unable to compile class for JSP

Please can anyone help me to solve this.
Actually,this is the condition.
In my db,there is a table called UserPassword, which has 4
fields(empNo,UserName,password,level). Now I want to do these things:
When the user submits the data to create a new account via HTML form, it submits the data to the file called CreateAcc.jsp. In this file it perform some logic,here are they.
1)To check the empNo,if it is already exist in the DB,
     if empNo =exist then display error.(record already exist)
     if empNo =notexist then do task 2).
2)check the UserName,if it is already exist in the db,
     if UserName=exist then display error.(because it's a primary key)
     if UserName=notexist then do task 3).
3)Create a new user account and save it to the db.
To do these tasks,I never create a new objects for the tasks 1) and 2).
only for task 3)create an object.
Is it the right way?

I try it that way, but it don't compile.

So,I comment them only in the UserPassword.java file,and compile it again.
Then it compile well.I goto the directory to get the .class files.
But there is only UserPassword.class inside the data folder. There is not
UserAccManager.class in the core folder.

ER unable to compile using javac with java 1.3.1 library (JDEV 10.1.3.0.4)

Hi !
When I try to compile in JDev with javac and the java 1.3.1 library, I get the following error :
Error: javac: invalid flag: -source
The command line generated by JDev looks like :
C:\jdk1.3.1_03\bin\javac.exe -J-mx512m -verbose -deprecation -source 1.3 -target 1.3 -encoding Cp1252 -g -classpath [...] -sourcepath [...] -d [...] @C:\DOCUME~1\user\LOCALS~1\Temp\javac54193.tmp
It seems that -source and -target flags do not exist in this version of javac.
But it does not seem possible to remove these flags generated by JDev, so I'm unable to compile with javac 1.3.1 and JDev.
So i'm looking for :
- A workaround to prevent JDev from adding the -source and -target flags.
- A future release of JDev where you could disable these flags, or, much better, where JDev automatically disables these flags when it detects a 1.3.1 library (there may be other incompatible flags I did not mention).

when you open the project properties and choose the compiler option to tht the compiler to "javac" and then the "source" and "target" to 1.3, wouldn't this compile it for Java 3? I don't think that it is necesary to use JDK 1.3 for compiling the sources
Cross-Compilation Options
By default, classes are compiled against the bootstrap and extension classes of the platform that javac shipped with. But javac also supports cross-compiling, where classes are compiled against a bootstrap and extension classes of a different Java platform implementation. It is important to use -bootclasspath and -extdirs when cross-compiling; see Cross-Compilation Example below.
-target version
Generate class files that will work on VMs with the specified version. The default is to generate class files to be compatible with the 1.2 VM in the Java 2 SDK. The versions supported by javac in the Java 2 SDK are:
1.1
Ensure that generated class files will be compatible with 1.1 and VMs in the Java 2 SDK.
1.2
Generate class files that will run on VMs in the Java 2 SDK, v 1.2 and later, but will not run on 1.1 VMs. This is the default.
1.3
Generate class files that will run on VMs in the Java 2 SDK, v 1.3 and later, but will not run on 1.1 or 1.2 VMs.
1.4
Generate class files that are compatible only with 1.4 VMs.

Unable to compile add.jsp

I am able to run the examples in the tomcat, but unable to run my own add.jsp which tries to connect to oracle9i. The following error is displayed. add.jsp file is copied at the end of this error message.

if you want to know how to declare a package for your classes
Follow the steps to make your application work
Make this as the first statement in your DbConnect1 class
package DbConnect1;
Compile the class and place the DbConnect1.class file into
Tomcat/webapps/<yourapplication>\WEB-INF\classes\package\ directory
for eg : if your package name is test then place the class files under
Tomcat/webapps/<yourapplication>\WEB-INF\classes\test directory
This is where Tomcat looks for class files
If you have any doubts regarding directory dtructure to be followed in Tomcat please refer to some of the example packages under Root directory
In your JSP say
page import = packageName. DbConnect1

hi :-) this is not eclipse forum and not that sure about your problem but i'll try to answer :-)
i'm not sure how you create your war but there something wrong with your web.xml. kindly check it :-)
by d way, you can deploy your project in my-eclipse by
- right click on the project then select my-eclipse > Add and Remove Project Deployment's
- a new window will open and you can now configure how you deploy your project :-)
other alternative edit your jboss-service.xml then put something like this
<attribute name="URLs">deploy/, file:/D:/workspace/deploy</attribute>
(note, change the path according to your needs)

}I read in one blog (actually - the only page which was returned by yahoo - so - this should be very rare error!!!) to try to use Sun server's verifier.bat - and - it reported 0 errors and 0 warning. Build was succesfull as well and also - deployment was without errors - but - above mentioned error appeared during the automatic compilation of jsp pages/servlet when newly deployed jsps are first accessed from remote browser.
So - is it possible, please, to receive some advice - what to do further? I feel that my invoice.jsp page can be with errors, - however - the original welcomeJSF.jsp should be working without errors even the erronwous JFS jsp page is added to web application.

OK - I have made 'clean and build main project' from NB menu and the deployed the resulting *.war and the error messages have disappeared... So - it seems to be bug...

OPM - Unable to compile Excel documents

Hi,
I get the error "Unable to compile the document '<file location>' because it does not contain the Oracle Policy Modeling macros" everytime I compile an Excel document and Oracle Policy Modeling add-in is not present in Excel even when I open the file through project explorer. OPM shows the following error: "An error occurred while opening the document '<file location>': Unable to set the Installed property of the AddIn class". Please help me with this.

I found this in another link showing where to check that Oracle Policy Modeling Add-in is available.
For Office 2003 I found the add-Ins under Tools-Add-Ins
Take a look at the Installation Guide for Oracle Policy Modeling 10.3.1. There is a topic at the bottom that has some steps that might be relevant for your situation. For convenience I've copied some of the details:
The following is a possible workaround that will enable you to manually activate the Oracle Policy
Modeling AddIn for Excel:
1) Open the Excel document outside Oracle Policy Modeling.
2) Select Excel Options from the Office Menu (circle at top left). Select Add-Ins, then find
Manage: Excel Add-Ins, and click on Go...
3) Place a tick in the Oracle Policy Modeling Excel 2007 check box (if it is already ticked, try unticking,
clicking OK, and ticking it again).
4) Click on the OK button.
5) Try opening the workbook again in Oracle Policy Modeling.
If the Oracle Policy Modeling AddIn for Excel does not appear in step 3, you should be able to locate
it in the templates directory of the Oracle Policy Modeling installation. The default location is:
C:\Program Files\Oracle\Policy Modeling\templates\Oracle Policy Modeling Excel 2007.xlam

Unable to compile ( not creating class file ) java file

Hi
I am unable to compile java file in eclipse. I am using Tomcat 5.0 and eclipse 3.0. I am able to compile the file from command prompt. I installed eclipse and did all settings including Build path ( WEB-INF\classes). But I donot see any class file getting created.

Are you seeing errors when eclipse compiles you classes? Have you tried to build your project using; Project -> Build All? If you have and it looks like no errors are generated you may need to change your perspective. Try changing to the resource perspective to see the built class files; Window -> Open Perspective -> Other -> Resource. By default built class files end up in the bin directory of the project. i usually change my built classes directory to classes, just makes more sense to me.

Error in compiling sample project of Indesign CC 2014

I am trying to compile sample project of Indesign CC 2014 using VC++ 2013. but it is showing me following error:

Build result is also showing "Unknown compiler version - please run the configure tests and report the results".
I have added following path in "Project properties->VC++ directories->Include directories"
D:\Adobe InDesign CC 2014 SDK\external\dva\third_party\boost_libraries
D:\Adobe InDesign CC 2014 SDK\external\dva\third_party\adobe_source_lib
Please let me know if any kind of settings I need to change in VC++ 2013.
I am using application Indesign CC 2014 and VC++ 2013 and OS is Windows 8

Error in compiling sample project of photoshop CC 2014

Hi,
I am trying to compile sample project "Outbound" of Photoshop CC 2014, but it is showing me error, "Parse Issue: Unknown type name 'DialogPtr' " in DialogUtilities.h file .
DialogUtilities.h is part of "samplecode:common:include" folder. I have also added this path in header search path, but it is still not working.
Application I am using is "Photoshop CC 2014"
and Xcode version is "Version 4.6.3 (4H1503)"
If anyone have idea about this then please let me know.

Are you using the CC 2014 release of the SDK?
The DialogUtilities.h for mac do not work. They are the old Carbon API's. See the Dissolve example for an Objective-C UI.
I would comment out the DialogUtilities.h include and other associated headers for Carbon UI. Some Carbon calls still work that are unrelated to UI.

I do not recall if I asked previously. Even if you cannot open all your saved/closed projects, can you still open a new project and save/close it? Maybe even reopen it?

I am unable to run ADF Project on Weblogic Server 9.2. I am created Sample Project with ADF Control. This was when we create jsp at that time i am selected libraries ADF. After created war file. This war i am deploying into Server. At that time i am getting error java.lang.noclassfound error.
so please tell me how we can run these application.

Hard to help you here. JDev 10 used to work with OAS 10g as application server. This does not mean that you can't use Weblogic9.2, but because it is not the default configuration you may have some problems doing this.
One problem is that you need to install the ADF runtime libraries in the WLS 9.2 server, but there is no installer I know of. You can try to deploy the needed libraries together with your app, but you have to figure out which libraries you need.
Next thing is that you should deploy an EAR instead of a WAR.

You told "NI Support has not responded yet to the solution." Do you already have a service request number of the NI support?
Can you post your project? Which RT-target do you use? Which hardware?
You can also post a MAX report of you windows computer and one of your target:
1. Start -> Programs -> NI MAX
2. File -> create protocol -> choose technical support and my system (development computer) -> next -> next -> choose path -> next -> finish.
3. File -> create protocol -> choose technical support and your RT-target (real-time system) -> next -> next -> choose path -> next -> finish.
