OAM Access System Error with AD

Hi,
I am trying to install OAM 10.1.4.3 with user and policy store as AD 2008.
I have patched all components to BP05 to be compatible with AD 2008.
After succesfully installing Policy Manager when I access /access/oblix and provide user directory type as Active Directory, the console hangs.
That is on clicking "Next" botton it does not go to next page.
However if I select any other directory console works properly. Infact on proceeding with other DS on policy store type also if I select AD same thing happens.
Can anyone please suggest why its not taking AD as directory type.

Hi,
I have done schema changes, reloaded schema and renamed setup.xml still the same.
For safer side I have also changed below entry:
<NameValPair
ParamName="dynamicAuxiliaryForOblixDS"
Value="true"></NameValPair>
to false in identity setup.xml and restarted everything. Nothing changed.
In oblog.log of access server  there is repetative below error:
unction^LDAPConfigDB::ReadOblixDBConfig

Please suggest.

  • Access Denied error with basic XML file operations

    Hi,
    I'm trying to set up a basic read, write and delete code for XML files which I can build upon in the future. The three methods are bound to three buttons on the page and all three calls are awaited. Here's my code:
    Write:
    XElement uservarnodes = new XElement("uservars",
    new XElement("uservar1", "1"),
    new XElement("uservar2", "2"),
    new XElement("uservar3", "3"),
    new XElement("uservar4", "4"),
    new XElement("uservar5", "5"),
    new XElement("uservar6", "6"),
    new XElement("uservar7", "7"),
    new XElement("uservar8", "8"));
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.CreateFileAsync("uservarfile.xml", CreationCollisionOption.ReplaceExisting);
    var stream = await file.OpenAsync(Windows.Storage.FileAccessMode.ReadWrite);
    using (var outputStream = stream.GetOutputStreamAt(0))
    DataWriter mydataWriter = new DataWriter(outputStream);
    mydataWriter.WriteString(uservarnodes.ToString());
    await mydataWriter.StoreAsync();
    await outputStream.FlushAsync();
    Read (outputs the data to a textblock):
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.GetFileAsync("uservarfile.xml");
    string readtext = await Windows.Storage.FileIO.ReadTextAsync(file);
    XElement uservarnodes = XElement.Parse(readtext);
    txtTarget.Text = uservarnodes.ToString();
    Delete:
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.GetFileAsync("uservarfile.xml");
    await file.DeleteAsync(StorageDeleteOption.PermanentDelete);
    When I tap each of the buttons once it all seems to work. But when I tap any of the buttons again within the same debug session I get an Access denied exception (E_ACCESSDENIED). Other people with this error had to await when calling their method, but I'm
    already doing that: private async void btnWrite_Click(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { await WriteToXMLFile(); }, etc.
    And the intervals between my taps isn't that short that you'd expect that the previously called method still had not finished completing. I don't understand why I'm getting the access denied error.
    Related to my question: I have added XML to the File Type Associations, File Open Picker and File Save Picker in the appxmanifest, but somewhere I read that you do not need to do this if you're working with local app data only. Is this true?

    var stream = await file.OpenAsync(Windows.Storage.FileAccessMode.ReadWrite);
    I think because of your file stream hasn't been closed.
    by the way, it can be easier  by using System.IO.OpenStreamForWriteAsync extension method
    async public static Task<bool> SaveTextFileAsync(string filename, string data)
    byte[] fileBytes = System.Text.Encoding.UTF8.GetBytes(data);
    StorageFolder local = Windows.Storage.ApplicationData.Current.LocalFolder;
    var file = await local.CreateFileAsync(filename, CreationCollisionOption.ReplaceExisting);
    try
    using (var s = await file.OpenStreamForWriteAsync())
    s.Write(fileBytes, 0, fileBytes.Length);
    return true;
    catch
    return false;
    (need using System.IO namespace)

  • "Internal System Error" with Envy 114 (110 series)

    I have tried repeatedly to set up web services with this printer, and I continue to get the "internal system error message.  It's maddening!  I have a mac system 10.7.4.  I have the printer set up to work wirelessly, but when I try to deal with web services feature, I fail every time--with this particular message.
    Has anyone had this problem?

    Are you receiving this error on the front screen of the printer after pressing the web services icon (piece of paper with rings behind it) or are you receiving this through the EWS (embedded web server) of the printer?
    The EWS would be accessed using the printer's IP address and a web browser on a computer.

  • [OAM] Customize System Error Page

    Hi all,
    we have a protected resource with an already implemented custom login form. This login form is not the one in the war, but an external (an static HTML).
    We also need to customize the System Error page (blue screen) that is thrown when an server error occurs. I am following the OAM documentation but it seems confusing with my scenario here. It says to open the oamcustompages.war, modify the servererror.jsp file and re-deploy it. But then, documentation establish to configure "customWar" in the context of the authentication screen. I can't do this because I would loose the login page (and this is mantained by an external development team so this is not an option).
    The customer wants to modify the blue screen not only for changing the look and feel, but also for catching error and perhaps make redirections (at now, the instruction is to know how to change that page).
    Any help?

    Hi Matt,
    I think the page you are being redirected to is servererror.jsp, which is deployed within oam-server.ear, within its own ngsso-web.war application. You could deploy your own version of this. I assume you could also modify the ErrorPage setting in oam-config.xml to define your own page, though I have not tested this. This would be a customisation, so you would be responsible for the system behaviour when doing this.

  • System error with 64MB MMC for 6680

    I have had my phone for six months and all of a sudden the MMC has packed in. It works in my wifes phone but when it goes in mine it reads system error and i cant access any saved files. I've only used 18MB so it cant be full. could it be a prob with my phone?
    Any help appreciated
    Richard

    Tools -> Memory -> Options -> Format Mem. card.
    If you are getting a system error you may have to format the mmc in your wife's phone, but I would try it in yours first.

  • Access Violation error with Diadem 2011

    I've started using Diadem 2011, and have run into an Access Violation error when loading some of my existing reports.  I've created a simple example which shows what's happening:
    I've created a simple Bar plot:
    If I change the left hand bar to be "Filled" instead of "Right Diagonal", Diadem throws up an access violation error.  I've attached the TDM and TDR files used to create the graph.  The error in the log file is:
    139  Error while executing "" command
         Error type: ACCESS VIOLATION
         Error address: 0004F5E5
         Module nameIAdem.exe
    Diadem: 11.0.3f4563 TDM
    USI: 1.9.0f4551
    DataFinder: 3.0.0f4556
    (By the way, it would be great to be able to copy those version details directly from the About page!)
    Attachments:
    Data.zip ‏7 KB

    I've tried this as administrator, and have exactly the same issues, so it doesn't appear to be a permissions problem.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled DIAdem and everything's the same.
    Here's another ZIP file with hopefully all of the required files.  I've created the data files from scrathc several times, and see the same problem.  One other thing I've just noticed is that it only occurs when filling the bars with the color Black, not blue or red or anything else.

  • N97 system error with photos

    When I go to photos on my new N97 it shows the icon of one picture I took earlier in the week (the others have all been transferred off onto my PC). However when I click on the captured area to open it, I get the broken image icon and a General: system error when I try to delete it. The picture isn't visible on the file explorer on the phone or when connected to my PC. How do I remove the image completely?
    If it necessitates a hard reset etc (nokias answer to control-alt-delete it seems but which takes 100 times longer) does this hard reset also wipe the mass storage memory or is it just the phone settings? Is there any way to protect the mass storage memory during a hard reset as having to back up several Gb of data and then restore it just to delete an icon seems completely OTT. Surely there is a database file somewhere that can be deleted/recreated?
    thanks
    Craig

    Hmm, not heard of that before. My N97 refers to captured "items" as opposed to "image or video", your phone seems to think there's a media file somewhere anyway. Try rebooting phone. Also if you rename the Private folder to "Private_old" or something, this will wipe all databases. Reboot, then open Photos and phone will look for pics (and hopefully not find the one you mention). Video and music databases will also rebuild when you access them. I've not had to do this procedure myself, but I've seen it work for others, up to you.
    I can appreciate it's irritating trying to get rid of such a thing without having to format any drives, if problem persists hopefully someone else can offer a simple workaround. Otherwise you'll need to back up and format I reckon. Sorry, all I can think of right now, mate.

  • E71 system error with meeting entry

    Hello everyone, I just bought my E71 and I have the following problem: when I try to add a meeting, after i do "done" it gives me:system error.
    when I try to insert a "to do" or memo, it works fine but when I write a meeting I have this error.
    I tried to add a meeting on outlook and then I syncronized, after this I have a "to do" or task on my phone and not a meeting.
    The sync works fine.
    Thanks a lot for your support.

    pippobaudo:
    Thanks for the info. After many redundant backups and original setting realoadings I managed by trial and error to work out that the error is caused by the backup utility whenever you backup calender or todo notes.
    So I fixed it by making a full backup of my phone, but excluding calender and todo notes. Then I reset to original settings, and loaded the backup. Works fine now.
    Its a bit of a hack that the backup utility cannot restore calender entries correctly...

  • N85: System error with Maps

    Hello
    I have a N85 for a few days now. Everything is working except the Maps: when I try to launch the Maps application I have an error message "System Error" ("Erreur système" in french).
    Does anybody know how to fix this problem ?
    Thanks

    Hello
    Thanks for your answer. In fact when I have a look to the installed apps, Nokia Maps is not in the list of installed applications (which is probably the cause of the error). I have already noticed this and I have tried to install Nokia Maps but the result is the same: Nokia Maps not in the list of installed apps and "System error" when I try to use the maps. The Nokia support has sent me some steps to perform (among them reinitialize the phone to its primary state or even format it) to fix the problem. I will try this.
    I'll let you know if it is has worked
    Thanks

    I am seeing exactly the same error. I started seeing it after we started making extensive use of introspection in our code. It happens repeatably when we are load testing our software.

  • Post upgrade to Mountain Lion - no access and error with IPhoto

    Hi, I work on MacBook Pro 17 inch with operating system OSX 10.8.1.  Since I have upgraded to Mountain Lion, I am unable to access IPhoto.  Whenever I enter the programme through the icon, I receive start up message stating 'updating thumbnails'.  After about 2 of minutes, it crashes and I receive error message as below.  What do I need to do fully operational IPhoto?

  • Windows operating system error with a Zen Sleek and windows 2

    I have tried to install the creative disk that came with the Zen Sleek. After launch I get this message "windows operating system running on this computer is not supported by this product and can get no further. I am running windows 2000 pro. I have downloaded the creative media source program from the creative.com site and it will install beautifully but when you launch it, I get the error " CTCMS.exe has generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will need to restart program." I figure that these two problems are probably related. We have been able to transfer songs by using the play for sure, but I am disappointed otherwise.
    thanks, Kathy

    On the packaging it should say the player is Win XP only. I'm not sure if the Sleek ships with the Easy CD that allows MTP/PlayForSure based players to work with earlier Windows versions.

  • Systemic error with times and dates across all. please help

    So, having recently made the switch to the world of Apple, I am starting to get my teeth into things - however, struggeling on a couple of fronts. The first and most frustrating for me at the moment is the fact that the time on my messaging and calanders would all appear to be the same.
    When I send and receive messages on skype - they all apear with the same time on them.
    When I open my ical (tried to sync calendars with my ipad2 myself - and initially felt very please with myself) only to find that ALL events had sat as the time...throughout the entire day, and within the event box, the time (the same time as that which appears in skype) appears inside and at the begining of every entry.
    I have tried to change the date and time settings - the clock at the top right of my screen is correct and changes as the hours go by......but still no change in the skpye messaging or in ical.....so frustrating - I use skype as a business tool and at present I am not able to copy and paste peoples messages into anythign else as the time is incorrect.
    Please help
