OAS 4.0.8.1 (wrksf and Listener Admin)

Installed OAS 4.0.8.1 onto SUSE 6.4. Install fine but I am unable to start the wrksf process either through the OAS admin or directly with owsctl. It appears to start then stops ????. Also when I try to administer the Listeners the wladmin call fails to return a page. Intending to run this against 8.1.6 database. DAD construction Ok.

Congrats on getting Apache compiled. I am new to all of this, and the documentation is poor. The way I understand the documentation on www.olab.com, libapadp.so must be linked into Apache. Is this true? If so, I would love to know how to recompile it. I have downloaded and unzipped/untared 1.3.12, but I can't find out how to just link in a .so file. The only references I see are how to start out with a .c file. I have fould libapadp.so and ndwfapd.so in the Oracle install. I thought that just doing "LoadModule ows_module ndwfapd.so" would do the trick if I put ndwfapd.so and libapadp.so in the modules subdir of my Apache 1.3.9 installation, but I get the message...
"Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/ndwfapd.so into server: libapadp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory".
Do you have any ideas to help me over this hurdle.
Any help is appreciated.

Yes. As long as all your songs you lost have been Matched or Uploaded to iTunes Match you can download your entire library from the cloud.

Creating a Service and Listener

I have downloaded Oracle Developer Suite 10g and when I try to log on to SQL plus using scott/tiger I get tns:protocol adapter error which i've been informed is due to the service not running. If I try using LOCALHOST as the host I get tns:no listener error.
Can anyone provide me with the info I need to create a service and listener as I don't know what protocol to use and have tried using net manager to set these up but to no avail. Also is there a default database that is provided if so what is this called and what is the SID as this is required for the service and listener. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

Was your wife logged into the libray at the time you tried to log in? I have had a similar problem and it was because another user was logged into the library when I attempted to. I got the permission denied banner.

I have found with AppleTV that it is the IPV6 on the computer you want to access is the problem. The issue is that Homegroup on Win 7 or Win 8 requires IPV6 to work, but AppleTV won't work with IPV6. (So maybe double check you have IPV6 turned off)
So you have to make a choice - Homegroup or AppleTV.... but you can't have both, until Apple brings ATV up to date. (crazy that it does not recognise IPV6 - c'mon Apple!)
You can set up sharing individually in Win 7 or 8 and have the ATV access files that way.
Having said that, there is always the exception.. I have an old HP home server running Win8 and it services ATV - but is part of the Homegroup... have no idea why it works on both, but no other machine on the home network will talk to both ATV and Homegroup at the same time!

Organizing and listening to specific playlists completely..

I want to listen to my music by folder/genre. As in if I have a classic rock folder/playlist, I want to be able to select that "folder" on my ipod and listen to all the music I have denoted as "classic rock" then maybe move onto "pop" folder and listen to all the music that I have loaded as pop. I don't like how my ipod randomly plays/chooses the music I listen to.. The first song might be rock, the next pop, and so on. Can anyone please tell me how to organize and listen to my music by folder or genre.
When I download my music it gets assigned a specific name, usually with numbers. I know that it's for example a 38 special song, so I put into my classic rock folder on itunes. When I turn on my ipod and go to my classic rock folder, the song is not there.

Do you mean it is in a playlist you created in the Source on the left side of iTunes?
If you want to play a specific Genre, on the iPod select Music -> Genre, select the one you want and press pplay.

You can't browse the web on an Apple TV
You can view any content that is in your iTunes library on the PC via the Apple TV if it is in the correct format.

That has nothing to do with iTunes match. The Remote app on iPad can control the computer's iTunes but not play content from iTunes on your iPad.
To play for example iTunes imusic on iPad
You need to have Home Sharing On.
Check Settings > Music > Home Sharing (key in your Apple ID & password here, must be the same on computer's iTunes)
Start iPad's Music app, tap the ... More (bottom right), tap Shared.
Choose your iTunes' library and have fun.

I can no longer download any NPR podcasts I subscribe to. I can download and listen to other podcasts but none from NPR. I have tried on Windows 7 and Windows 8. Other podcasts, music etc. download fine.

I have tried uninstalling, reinstalling iTunes and I have tried unsubscribing and resubscribing to the podcasts.
I don't have trouble getting NPR podcasts from the store. I just can't play them in iTunes.

At the moment they're both on the external hard drive and also stored on the computer but I'm quickly running out of memory on my iBook G4 so I'd like to only keep them on the external hard drive and, if possible, delete them from my computer's hard drive. Sounds like your files are playing from the external drive already. To check go to iTunes - Preferences - Advanced and check the Media Folder Location. Change it to the external drive if you need to.

I realised that you just need to go to System Preferences > Sound > Input > and uncheck 'Use ambient noise reduction'. mmm answered my own question.

Scenario:
I have a session bean (EJB1) calling a session bean (EJB2).
When an EJB1 is called, EJB1 persists data on to Table1 in database.
And EJB1 makes multiple calls to EJB2 to create entries in three different tables. Trans-attribute is set as required on both EJBS.
Problem:
EJB1 gets a Runtime Exception while inserting the data into TABLE1 (ORA-12899: value too large for column), EJB1 transaction is rollback, but all other transactions related to EJB2 are getting committed. I assume that they should roll back too.
Also, I did JAD on external transaction controller and listener and noticed that there is a transaction associated to each call. Meaning EJB1 had Transaction T1 and EJB2 had T2, T3, and T4 for the subsequent calls. When EJB1 is getting runtime exception in the method beforeCompletion(), the it calls rollbackGlobalTransaction() which is calling T1.setRollbackonly(). But not on on T2, T3, and T4 rollback
Am I missing anything?

A couple of this appear different in your sessions.xml. To do what you want you need to configure TopLink to:
1. Use an external XT controller - requires flag to be set and controller provided
2. Use the OC4J data source - requires flag to be set and data source name provided
I notice that your sessions.xml has both a data source name as well as a direct connection URL.
