!!! OAS - URGENT !!!

I have installed Oracle,OAS,Developer Server on WinNT with Service Pack 5.
I am using IE5.0 & Netscape as my browsers.
I have configured the system as specified in the technical white papers.
When the base HTML file is opened in the IE browser, a message 'Cannot access file C:\WINNT\Java\lib\uimanager.properties' is flashed in the Java Console window.
This property file is not at all present in side my system.
If opened under Netscape browser, I don't get any message.
I don't whether my Form is getting opened/not. Sometimes I see the forms MDI window with the 'Window' menu alone giving FRM-99999 error.
Why does these errors occur?
I need an expert advise to solve this problem.

Deploying Applets on OAS (urgent help needed)

I have installed and Configured OAS 4.0.7.1 on Win Nt Server ( SP5)
I have created a very simple Java Applet using JDeveloper 1.1 and followed the deployment method as specified in the Work book (Student Work book).
I have modified the source to add the ARCHIVE line.Using the Deployment Wizard I have created the archive file (.jar).
I have the Java class files and the archive file in the same directory.
I have added a HTTP Listener with port 90 and set the Directory for Virtual path corresponding to the directory where the java class files and archive files are available.
Now when I enter the URL for the invoking HTML file from the Browser the Applet seems to be loading but it doesn't. The error message at the bottom of the Applet(looks like the Applet Window):
load: <packagename>.<classname> cannot be instaniated.
Please help me to resolve the problem at the earliest.

what i have done is:
1.i have a simple applet (with frame) with a button.
2. I have edited the html file and included the following:
CODEBASE="imtac" -the virtual directory name
ARCHIVE = "carclas.zip"
3.with Deployment Wizard I have created the zip file (carclass.zip);
Whe I run the Applet (in JD1.1) it is not running as it is looking for the path (imtac) but if i remove the virtual path (imtac) then the applet runs. You asked me to include the virtual path name in the CODEBASE parameter.
Please do let me know in steps so that i too can deploy the applets in the WEB.
It will be of great help even if u give me your telephone no with country code and area code so that I could talk to u and make things workable here. ( i am in Oman).

URGENT:Testing deployed OAS EJB Aplication (JNDI Problem)

Please I need urgently help on this subject matter:
Environment:
OAS 4.0.8.2a on NT 4.5 SP5
Jdeveloper 3.1
Oracle 8R2
After succesfull deployment of BC4J aplication on OAS I want simply test it. When I click to test on the appModule on the tree, the dialog asking the connection information appears..I choose OAS option from the drop down box.
The error message I get is:
"apps/ejb/ClientesProjectOAS/pkgClientes/PkgClientesModule is not the name of a registered component"
I have tried with other variants too taking into account what OAS Administration shows..but no luck!
Now, WHAT SHOULD BE PUT TO THE "JNDI PATH" and "CLIENT JAR PATH" options. This is the most confusing point to me and there are practically no valid/good information on online help.

Urgent: Form Compilation Error using frmcmp.sh on OAS 10.1.2, pls help..

I am upgrading from OAS 9.0.4 to 10.1.2 where Forms 10g application is deployed.
When I try to recompile with frmcmp.sh :

I get errors :

What cause this error ?
FYI, on the above compilation I connect to different database/schema, not the one
which is used by the Form, is this the reason of th error ?
During compilation, Do I have to connect to the database/schema I used when develop the form ?
DO I have to create all tables in the schema first before compilation ?

PS. When I compile the same Form with F90genm.sh on OAS 9.0.4, NO ERROR.

From my experience it's a really bad idea to install OCS into a AS IM. When it comes to upgrades and patches you'll pull your hair out!
Why not install OCS first and then install the BI into the OCS AS server... I have not checked the certification matrix but that might be a better solution to look into.

Oracle8i and Oas 4081 - PLSQL TOOLKIT - Urgent Please help.

I installed Oracle 8i and Oas4081 on different ORACLE_HOME on the Linux 6.1 . When I tried to install the PLSQL toolkit it giving me an Oracle Database error 63744.
But I am enabled the sql_trace and I found OAS is successfully connecting to Oralce8i database, but it failing for some reason.
Do we need to do anything special on Oracle 8i side to install the PLSQL toolkit ..??
.Please help ...

I use Jdev3.1 as my Java IDE.
I have to develop a server side java objects that will be deploy to OAS 4.0.8. My server side java objects will wait for client calls then perform certain business logics depending on each call? Please give me some advises about what type of java object should I develop.
From JDev help doc,I read about Application Module, EJB, Business Component, JSP..I am new to JDev and Java so I don't really undestand about the relationship between these copmponent, and what should be used since they seem to do the same thing. Using arrays instead of vectors, the Oracle WSDL toolkit was able to generate stubs/serializers for all my objects. Thanks for the tip! :)
For future reference though, is there any way at all for the Oracle WSDL toolkit to auto-generate stubs/serializers for objects wrapped inside a Vector?

Very Urgent - About Deploying the project on to OAS 10g

We are in a serious problem.We are done with our project which is done using oracle portal development kit (PDK). We are using oracle portal 10g release2. Our Application server is also 10g.
At the time of development we use to work on standalone OC4J server and deploy the files on to the server and then by running the index.jsp file the provider use to get running..
The we use to find our .jsp files in portlet staging area..
No we dont have any idea how to deploy this project at the server end OC4j.. as there are several modules in our project we need to integrate them and then deploy..
In Simple words i need steps to deploy a oracle portal web application developed using oracle PDK on to oracle 10g AS.. We need to go live ASAP.. please help me..

URGENT!!!! Deployment to OAS using connection wizard

Only when trying to deploy my application do I get a message. I'm using NT 4 for development. Deploying to OracleApp Serv 8 on Solaris.
The wizard runs fine but when I go to test the connection it stops with an error:
java.net.SocketException: setsocket() TCP_NDELAY
what does this mean?

Is it possible to run OAS 10.1.2 with JDK 1.6 ???

Well on the one hand we have Oracle ADF BC application that was developed with JDeveloper 10.3.4 and runs fine on OAS 10.1.2 JDK 1.4 on the other hand we have a 3rd party Map Server (servlet + java code) that is black box and only runs on JDK 1.6 because it needs JDK 1.6 features.
Currently the only available course of going forward is to introduce a new open source 1.6 compliant server to run the Map Server and use AJAX to cross domain communicate the two. Client would like to avoid this, would like one application on one server.
Restrictions are
1) To get the Map Server in JDK 1.4 format is not an option and
2) Upgrading to a Oracle Server that is JDK 1.6 and supports the ADF BC application is not an option. And not sure if OAS 11 can run the ADF BC application since I did a quick test by trying to compile the ADF BC application JDeveloper 10.3.4 code in JDeveloper 11 with out any success.
So to my question if I could run OAS 10.1.2 JDK 1.6 it might solve the problem before i attempt that I like to ask the ideas of others that might have faced such integration issues before.
This is urgent any help is welcome by anyone and everyone and especially the Gurus.

AFAIK, Oracle AS 10.1.2 is not certified with JDK 1.5 or higher.
Oracle AS 10.1.3 is certified with JDK 1.5 and 1.6 on some platforms. (Check metalink.oracle.com -> certify for details)
Oracle FMW 11.1.1.0.1 (aka WebLogic 10.3 plus JDeveloper 11.1.1.0.1) is certified with JDK 1.6
Not certified means use it on your own risk - no support.

Cannot deploy a EJB 3.0 Session bean to the OAS 10.1.3.4

Hi All,
I am unable to deploy a EJB 3.0 Session bean with no deployment descriptors to OAS 10.1.3.4 App server.This Session bean is also exposed as a web service using annotations. I am able to deploy this bean to a standalone oc4j 10.1.3.x containers and test it successfully.
i have written a simple stateless session bean ( exposed as webservice) and every bean is having issues with deployment having the same exception stated below
Can some one please help as i need to deploy this urgently.

I have performed following steps to overcome the problem :
This is what i have done on the first attempt :
1) replaced port 80 by 7777 in webcache.xml
2) added 'Listen 7777' in httpd.conf
3) restarted opmn
Following steps done on the second attempt :
1) replaced port 80 by 7779 in webcache.xml
2) added 'Listen 7779' in httpd.conf
3) restarted opmn
My webcache and webcacheadmin shows down in the opmnctl status.
Both above attempts were unsuccesful, Please support with a solution to above issue. We are on Windows 2003 R2, OAS 10g r2 (10.1.2.0.2). My webcache has been down for past 3 days and one thing i have noticed is that it is not writing any logs to $ORACLE_HOME\webcache\access_log. Access_log file was way too long when i checked 2 days ago so i moved the access log to a different location and re-created access_log by editing webcache.xml, i dont understand whether existing problem is due to port conflict or it is an issue with webcache unable to write to access_log. The current size of access_log is zero.

OAS 4.0.8.2 installation problem

I tried to install OAS 4.0.8.2 on a WinNT4 server with SP5 and got no luck. This is my home PC with Enternet card.But did not conectted with other PC. Installation seems OK. When I try to start OAS, The error message I got is
