OATS: How to return the number of tabs (tab count) in ADFPannelTabbed

Question: I have a ADFPannelTabbed Object wherein I want to validate whether a particular tabname exists or not. At present we have something like this: adf.panelTabbed(tabObject).GetText(1) and adf.panelTabbed(tabObject).GetText(2) and so on. However I want the count of the tabs that are available under adf.panelTabbed(tabObject), so that I can loop through it and check the tab existence based on the i value. something like below
For i=0 to tabcount
StrTabName = adf.paneltabbed(tabObject).GetText(i);
If(StrTabName.equals(MyInput){

How to get the tabCount in this case.

Steps: 1. Click on Concepts link
2. login with product_manager/Welcome1
3. Click on Create Requirement Specification
4. Enter Data and click on Save and close (Choose CreateNew radio button before saving)
5. The requirement gets created in a new tab and now I need to validate if the ADFPanel with tabName = "the one that is created in this flow" Exists.

The standard report is S_PH9_46000223 - EEs Entered and Left
If you want to obtain the numbers in the same screen you should do the following1
1 - access the report
2 - further selection button - select Action type and move it to the Selection fields (you will get it on the screen)
3 - select action Hiring and action Leaving (so that the report will only count these elements)
4 - Period - current month
5 - run the report
6 - you will now have to see the number of employees (unfortunately you cannot do Sum here as you could do in a Querry that you would build as you would add the Count field so we need to do a little trick)
7 - Change layout icon - View tab- select Preferred view instead of SAP List viewer ->Microsoft Excel
8 - Select a template - press save
9 - You will see now the report in the Excel format. You can do sums if you want, add formulas, or you simply delete the first line and just look at the latest line filled in (total number of EE who left or were hired during the month)
If you do your own Querry - you can skip the Excel part and make a screen variant with the Sums.
At least now you have 2 options that you can choose from

    I have an application with Tab Page group  with 8 tabs and the browser is displaying only 5 of thems. I have to scroll to display the remaining 3 although I have enough spaces on the screen to displayed all of them.

    It sounds like you have been trying to enter—unsuccessfully—an item name or substitution string into the Number of Rows attribute. The Number of Rows (Item) attribute is the one that actually allows you to do this. Click on the flashlight icon beside it to get a list of items from the application.

    I have given a thought to that option too, however the issue is that, in order to use returning clause you have to use a temporary SQL variable which I believe can not be used unless we use a PL/SQL block (Please correct me, if I am wrong).
    I wanted to get away with the option of re-querying the 'SELECT' or a PL/SQL Block. Any suggestions?

  • How to optimize the number of battery cycle count?

    Hello,
    I'm using my MBP Retina display (Mid 2013 model) and I just found out my battery cycle count is 143. It's been a year since I bought it. Is that count normal? I don't use my laptop other than using it for browsing, Skype calls and word processing. I leave it charged all day and in the evening I use it up until a 60% charge is left. I can avoid this and leave it unplugged. Should I leave it unplugged and use the battery only when it is absolutely necessary to do so, to keep my battery cycle count low? Please suggest and thanks.

    i may be wrong but I think the number of the battery's cycle is implemented by 1 each time you recharge to 100%. Even if you were for example at 70%, when you plug the charger to reach 100% it is counted as a cycle.

    What exactly did you search for on Google? What is "that"?
    Are you trying to add more tab pages to a Tabbed Canvas from the Forms Builder? If so, user13390506 is sort of right. Click on the "Canvases" node of the Object Navigator press the *<font color="green">green + </font>* button to add a new "Content" canvas to your form. Now you need to open the property pallet of the new canvas and change the "Canvas Type" property to "Tab." You will notice that the icon of the new canvas you created in the Object Navigator has changed. Click on the + node next to your new "Tab" canvas to reveal the "Tab Pages" node. Again, open this node (by clicking on the +) to reveal the individual tab pages. By default, Forms will create two tab pages. You can add a tab page in the "Tab Pages" node by clicking on the node and then clicking on the + button. To remove a tab page from the "Tab Pages" node, click on the tab page you want to remove and then click on the *<font color="red">red -</font>* (minus) button.
    If you are trying to add a new tab page during the Form runtime - as I mentioned before - this is not possible.
    Also, what is your Forms version?

    I'm a little confused by the question, but it sounds like you're asking how to count the number of files with a particular extension in a given directory? That's not really an AI SDK question, but it's a fairly easy one to find if you google it. If you're trying to use Illustrator to do it, AI doesn't have a general purpose file API. It has a few functions to do some things that Illustrator needs, but I don't think enumerating directories is one of them.

    How do you return the number of Rows in a ResultSet? It's easy enough to do in the SQL query using COUNT(*) but surely JDBC provides a method to return the number of rows.
    The ResultSetMetaData interface provides a method for counting the number of columns but nothing for the rows.

    No good way before JDBC2.0. u can use JDBC2.0 CachedRowSet.size() to retrieve the number of rows got by a ResultSet.

    When i looked up the net, one suggestion that was given is to narrow the wildcard query, which i cannot in my search page. Hence I am left with the only alternative of limiting the number of results returned by oracle text search query.
    Please let me know how to limit the number of search results returned by oracle text so that this error can be avoided.

    Hi,
    If not set explicitly, the default value for WILDCARD_MAXTERMS is 5000. This is set as a wordlist preference. This means that if your wildcard query matches more than 5000 terms the message is returned. Exceeding that would give the user a lot to sift through.
    My suggestion: trap the error and return a meaningful message to the user indicating that the search needs to be refined. Although it is possible to increase the number of terms before hitting maxterms (increase wildcard_maxterms preference value for your wordlist), 5000 records is generally too much for a user to deal with anyway. The search is not a good one since it is not restricting rows adequately. If it happens frequently, get the query log and see the terms that are being searched that generate this message. It may be necessary to add one or more words to a stoplist if they are too generic.
    Example: The word mortgage might be a great search term for a local business directory. It might be a terrible search term for a national directory of mortgage lenders though (since 99% of them have the term in their name). In the case of the national directory, that term would be a candidate for inclusion in the stoplist.
    Also remember that full terms do not need a wildcard. Search for "car %" is not necessary and will give you the error you mentioned. A search for "car" will yield the results you need even if it is only part of a bigger sentence because everything is based on the token. You may already know all of this, but without an example query I figured I'd mention it to be sure.
    As for limiting the results - the best way to do that is to allow the user to limit the results through their query. This will ensure accurate and more meaningful results for them.

    For the loop block option, your answer is passing message count in different message type is best option !
    I really do not know why SAP does not deliver a build-in function to return the number of items in multiline element at run time ?
    Now the question for the second option: ForEach block:
    When I leave current line of block properties empty, the compile does not pass
    I have to input a another element (Var_Cur) in current line
    Inside my block, I have one send step, it will send Var_Dest[Index],  followed by a container operation step to increment Index by 1.
    With above setup, I compile it, compile passed, but it says:
    "Container Element Var_Cur in Step Block1 is initialized but not used"
    then I added another containter operation step in block:
    Var_Cur = Var_Dest[Index]
    I modified send step to send Var_Cur rather than Var_Dest.
    Up to now, I can compile it without any warnings.
    But when I send message to IE, the message pass pipe line, but it seems does not pass the BPE.
    When I go to SXI_CACHE, to check the return code for my Integration process is 0, means no error.
    But my message does not reach my target system.
    Where do you think I made wrong ?

    Go to the change/display mode of the info object (0CUSTOMER) in your case. Go to the Master data/Text tab. Here you will find the master data tables according to your settings (P orQ or X or Y). Double click on the table name and it will take you to the SE11 display. From there, you can check the number of records as you do in any transparent table.

    You can check to see if it contains a string once by using the contains function, but there isn't a very clean way to do what you want. If you wanted to guess at the maximum number of occurrences, then you could:
    Box A has your initial. Set Box B to do a concat of string-before and string-after of Box A where it copies Box A minus the string we're looking for. Then we have Box C that does the same thing to Box B. Repeat as many times as you see necessary.
    Example:
    String: "1"
    Box A - "123451234512345"
    Box B - "23451234512345"
    Box C - "2345234512345"
    Box D - "234523452345"
    etc.
    We then have a field that has nested ifs looking backwards from Z -> A looking for a non-blank. Based on that, we return the number of occurrences. Again, this isn't clean, but it will work if you think there's a predefinable maximum.

    Get the field as SPFieldNumber and then check DisplayFormat which returns
    SPNumberFormatTypes
    SPFieldNumber numberField = list.Fields.GetFieldByInternalName("YourNumberFieldName") as SPFieldNumber;
    SPNumberFormatTypes numFormatType = numberField.DisplayFormat;
