OBI EE maps integration tutorial

Hi guys!
I'm pretty sure that this topic has been mentioned many times before...But my question is..is there any good tutorial on how to integrate maps with oracle biee? I've seen a lot of them..but lets be honest most of them are not for the regular guys...I haven't seen any to take the subject step by step...I mean click here or type it there...Integrating obiee with maps its very hard..It'd be nice to learn a nice good step by step simple example and then populate your own needs...I heard a rumour that there is a 45 page power point which handles the subject well..maybe someone does know this rumor? Please help...Any good tutorial would be appreciated...

Ajax Map Viewer Tutorial - Not showing Map !

Hi, there
I just tried the Ajax Map Viewer Tutorial.I downloaded the Ajax Map viewer component and imported it to JSC.
Got the Google API key and dropped the Map viewer component on the page and added the API key
But when I run the application.The page doesn't show the Map .
I get error "Error in this Page " on the status bar of IE.
What 's the reason .Any ideas??

Any chance on the geocoder component also supporting proxy user and password ? Preferably like creator itselves, since it seems to work fine with windows domain level users and passwords..

Google Map Integration with Map Viewer is not working

Hi Team,
My MapViewer Version: Ver11_1_1_7_B130111
I have created a Google Map (with Type of Map Source as "Google Maps") in Oracle Map Viewer and i could see google map in Oracle Map Viewer(using "show Map").
I wanted to show a village map theme over the above google map in a web page and i am using Jdeveloper to integrate map viewer with Village data. I could see the google maps inside Jdeveloper however when i run the Jdeveloper code google map is not shown inside the web page.
I tried with Oracle Maps, Bing Maps as the "map source" in map viewer and tried integrating inside Jdeveloper and got same result (blank screen). However when i tried a different mapviewer ( Base Map ELOCATION.WORLD_MAP from OracleFMW MapViewer Home ) i could see the map in the web page.
I could get all other base maps (created with "internal" as the map source") in the web page, so there is some thing that i am missing with Google Maps, Bing Maps, Oracle Maps. Could you please help me what is that i am missing or point to a help resource?

Google Map integration in SAP BO Explorer

Hi All.
I would want to integrate Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer. Is there any standard functionality (Out of box solution) available for this in SAP BO Explorer?
Please let me know the step by step procedure for this? If there is no standard functionality available in SAP BO explorer for integrating google maps please let me know the plugins required please. Thank You in advance

I would want to know the following.
Does integrating Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer for IPAD/Mobile based version is a standard functionality in SAP BO explorer? Or we need to go for additional plug in?
2.Same question for web based version of SAP BO explorer as well
3.If it is not a standard (Out of box functionality) of SAP BO explorer please let me know the plugins / third party add ins required for integrating Google Maps with SAP BO Explorer (Both web based and IPAD/Mobile version).

Error in Map Interface tutorial?

On page http://java.sun.com/docs/books/tutorial/collections/interfaces/map.html in the tutorial, the code example has the line
Map<String, Integer> m = new HashMap<String, Integer>();When I used this in my NetBeans program, it gave an error "type packagename.Map does not take parameters" ('packagename' substituted for the name of my package).
When I changed the 'Map' on the LHS to 'HashMap' it was OK.
I did previously have a class called Map which I refactored to something else - I checked the sources and no references to the old name remain. Maybe this has something to do with it?

dust out your project's folders. In a pinch, this will always work:
java.util.Map<String, Integer> m = new HashMap<String, Integer>();

Geographical map integration

Hello,
As far as i experienced the old-skull built-in map that comes with Crystal Reports Design 2008 support locations on country and city level not street,postal code,coordinates level, is this true ? Can someone confirm this ?
My other question is how possible integrating Google maps as a flash object into CR Design 2008 ? When i make research for that, i find one company with limited information for CR Design 2008 support.

you can put a zip code layer into a map in the maps which are native to cr. the bad news is that these granular levels have to be purchased as an additional layer. this is a third party product.

Siebel Google Map Integration

Hi,
I was trying to display Google map as an iframe. This integration used to work earlier well and I am trying to debug this but I have heard that there has been some changes on the Google side where it is preventing Google Map to open inside other applications.
Has anybody faced such a problem ? Any conformation on this info.

HT5429 ios6 map integration is horrible

It doesn't provide directions when using public transportation. Help! Please tell me this feature is coming TOMORROW!

Agreed. A big mistake, from my perspective. This regressive omission has been lost in all of the hubbub over map inaccuracies. Officially, Apple invites the market to find the best solution to public transportation integration. That's a bunch of hooey. It feels like a half- baked app rushed to market to meet the iPhone 5 release date.
2 options I've tried (in Seattle):
1. Download google map website. Requires internet access or a phone signal, but not a big issue in urban area.
2. Free HopStop app. Integrates with Map, but only by launching another app. Different UI is not clean by Apple standards. Banner ads on the bottom. Info has been accurate so far. Good turn-by-turn walking directions to bus stops.
OK, but all-in-all, poor substitutes for the simple, functional elegance of the Google Map app.
Google Maps iOS 6 app reportedly coming sometime in the 6 month time horizon.

SCD - Map integration 11g

Hi all,
I have a question about scd on areas (polygon) on integrated maps in 11g.
Let's say that a postal code area changes from 1 year to another.
Is it possible to configure the maps/area to use the old area for previous years s and another for the new area?
Do you somehow add a query specification on the two themes in Mapviewer?

Unable to load mapping - Integration Repository

I created a Message Mapping and saved it, then when I close it and try to open it again I can't see it and this message appears:

Yes , ECM can be integrated with Oracle EBS (enterprise business suite) and other Oracle Apps as well like Peoplesoft , Siebel etc .

Help with BC and Google maps integration

Hi, I am considering going for the paid option of BC so that I can have access to the web apps. But before I go ahead, I have a few questions for someone who may be able to help.
I am building the site on adobe muse - this is not the latest version of muse as I am working on an windows 7 computer. Would all the BC web apps work on the site for all it is not the latest version?
Also, the thing I am really interested in is the ability to do an interactive map, building pins etc at the back end - is there any tutorials that anyone can point me to to help possibly with styling of say the little pop up box? I have watched the AID+BC muse and BC dynamic duo webinar on aidbc already, but wondered if there was more tutorials that would help.
Also, is it possible to use a stylized map, or do you have to go with the default google map? If you can use a stylized map, how do you add this to the BC web app.
Sorry for so many questions, but need to know before I make the leap onto a paid BC option.

HI Michelle,
Muse can not and does not utilise or have access to all that BC is. It does not give you access to the layouts and things like eCommerce and Web apps in the full ability sense. You can build interactive maps with the google API, web apps as the source of data, using the address lat and long or geo location ability etc But its not something you can do really Muse on its own.

Prime Infrastructure - Google earth maps integration question

I am in doubt about a specific statement found in the P.I configuration guide:
Adding an AP to Google Earth map without having the AP associated on a standard map, you do not see
any heatmap when you view the AP in Google Earth.
So, just to understand, its not just enough to import a kml with the access point information to P.I?
IF not, then do i have just to add the access point in any standard map (could even be an irrelevant map to the actual kml map?)
Can somebody please clarify and provide some tips?!!

The point is , the AP which is being added into google maps , should also be a part of any standard map. Standard Map will show the areas ( so that you can see and understand heat maps) , however, they don't actually give the presence of the area in global map ( in terms of geographical coordinates). Kml file is data of coordinates, it is not the actual MAP.

4096 byte sector Drives vs 512 byte Drives and Partition Map integrity

I have a late 2008 Mac Pro, and every so often, if I don't take the time to Defragment my startup drive, or go over it with Disk Warrior, my partition takes a dump. Normally its a invalid file count, invalid directory count, invalid volume structure, or some combination in between. I don't think its the drive or the mac itself (at work we have 200+ macs of various years and models that do this too) since it only happens to the startup drive (1TB-56% full) and I've had apple replace them 2 times now, along with a replacement machine and it still happens. I was wondering if the GUID would be happier on a new 4096 byte sector drive assuming the mac would even be able to use it. Buried deep in the developer site is a tec note that says Mac OS 10.4 and up are able to use the drive, but I haven't been able to find out if anyone outside of Western Digital has actually used them on a mac yet. No one at AppleCare seems to have an answer to my question, or can explain why my map fails regardless of drive.
