Or the presentation variable only change if click on "GO BUTTON" ????

You need to click the "Go" button. That is what sets the variable.

How to (if possible) change the measfilename variable at runtime

Hello / Hallo (in Deutsch unten)
Is it possible to change the measfilename at runtime? I have two HBM MGC+ which need a pretty long time to initialize. Both are installed in a car. For each measurement we make I must run the DAC scheme make the measurements an stop it. Then ich change the filename for the data and we make the next measurements. This takes a lot of time.
I want to start run the DAC scheme for only one time and let it run. Then I want to trigger the measurements with buttons setting triggerconditions in the DAC scheme. To trigger the recording of the data is not the problem but how can I change the measfilename variable at runtime so that each new measurement is saved in a new file?
The example with the GenFileName function is interesting but not the solution for my problem...
has anyone an idea?

kennt einer eine Möglichkeit die Variable MeasFileName bei laufender Messung zu verändern? Ich möchte die Messung starten... das Abspeichern geschieht über Triggerbedingungen die von Button im DAC Plan während der Messung gesteuert werden. Ziel wäre für jede neu getriggerte Messung je eine neue Datei mit einem neuen (in der Laufzeit eingebbaren) Dateinamen anzulegen.
Hat das oder ähnliches schonmal einer gemacht und kann sachdienliche Hinweise abgeben ?

ich habe noch ein wenig herumprobiert aber es klappt nicht so richtig. Ich habe noch folgendes versucht: Daten ins Datenportal ablegen und immer nach Ende einer einzelnen Messung per Button eine Autosequenz aufrufen die die Daten in eine Datei schreibt (Dateiname über Dialogfeld eingebbar). Das klappt auch... nur wenn ich dann in der Autoseq. den Datenbereich komplett lösche (DATADELALL) und eine neue Messsequenz starten will stürzt das Messprog. mit Runtimeerror ab. Irgendwie kommt der vermutlich nicht klar damit, dass der Messwertzähler während der Laufzeit wieder auf 0 gesetzt werden muss.
Eine fortlaufende Speicherung mit anschließender Sortierung wollte ich auch schon machen aber bei fast 200 Messkanälen mit 800Hz häufen sich einfach soviele Daten an, dass die Messdatei riesig werden würde.

Could not find this info via the "Context Help" window.

If you have to handle situations where you do not want to insert something in an array, then you can either use a negative index value as you suggested, or put the insert node in a case structure, with the "do not insert" case empty (almost...just crossed by the array wire!..)

How can i display the presentation variable in my reports

Was facing a problem to display the Presentation variable on my report, however i managed to display it on answers, but when i try to display it on my Publisher report it doesnt shows any data.
I use to Select the Values From my prompt, and it shows the Reflection of Presentation Variable on my Answers Report. but i cannot see the Reflection of data on my Publisher Report Please any One Can help me with this.

Removing '' does not work it given the following error
"State: HY000. Code: 10058. [NQODBC] [SQL_STATE: HY000] [nQSError: 10058] A general error has occurred. [nQSError: 27002] Near <@>: Syntax error [nQSError: 26012] . (HY000)"
and by adding space you mean that I use it as '@{ BbranchCode}'?
What I am doing at the moment is
1. Write the given query in oracle BI Answers.
2. Made a dashboard prompt in Answers.
3. Made a report in dashboard using the Answers report and the dashboard prompt.
Up till this step it works perfectly fine and the data displayed in manipulated on the basis of the values selected in the prompt.
4. Now what I want is to display this report in Dashboards using oracle BI publisher. For that I use the template builder provided for microsoft word.
5. I login to that add-on, open the answers report where I can see the field in the rowset. I select that field and save the template.
6. I open the oracle BI publisher and make a new reprt with data model of the answer's report and Layout of the one I just created.
7. I open the dashboard and put in the BI publisher report in the same page in which the asnwers report and the prompt was.
8. Upon changing the values of the prompt the report in the answers is still getting manipulated but I am not able to see its reflection of the BI publisher report.
The thing is that I am currently using this presentation variable to manipulate my reports in dashbords using dashboard prompts. The report is built in oracle BI Answers and it is working perfectly fine with it. Now when I use the template builder for Microsoft Word and open the template with the answers's report of this query I see the field in the row set but when I display the template in the dason the bases of this presentation variable the report in the oracle BI Answers is getting updated when I change values but when I use the template builder for microsoft word the the field is being shown in the row set.

Hi,
Did you try the steps which I mentioned above. You can use TIMESTAMPADD function in many places in your report but I think not in title section of the title view.
Also you can try using Narrative view instead of title view to achieve this. Follow below steos:
* Pull another column in the report and change its fx to TIMESTAMPADD(SQL_TSI_DAY, -1, @{system.currentTime})
* Now go to the Narrative view and add the below text in Narrative section of the view.
Active Person Report as of @1
Here @1 assuming the new column created is placed before all the columns in the request.
* Also set the 'Rows to Display' as 1.
* Delete Title view from the report and this narrative view on top of your report.

I would like to show the value the user entered on the column header because the values under that column are driven by the presentation variable.

You cannot put variables in the column headers, as they get considered as text and the same shows in the reports.
However, you can use the session or repository variables in the alias field in the presentation layer.
You should make sure, that in this case, all the calculations are done in the BMM layer and not in answers, for the columns where you will be using the variables.

Yes,I think it wont pass the parameters from one parent report to child report.one thing you can do is put the detailed report on a page in the same dashboard as that of prompt.Put the same between condition on that report also.Give navigation link to this page instead of report.You can hide this page as well so that it will be available only on navigation.

For SharePoint 2013 installation, I need to change the RunAs account.
is it possible to change the RunAs account without reinstalling Workflow Manger/SB Manager without complete uninstall? Even if I remove all servers from the farm, seems like the RunAs account is always in Management db, so RunAs account is pre-populated
with the old account.

To change the RunAs account of the Service Bus, use following PowerShell commands:
Stop-SBFarm
Set-SBFarm -RunAsAccount Domain\Username
$RunAsPassword = ConvertTo-SecureString
-AsPlainText -Force
'<password>'
[RunOnAllNodes] Update-SBHost
-RunAsPassword $RunAsPassword
Start-SBFarm
Then open the Service Control Manager and navigate to Workflow Backend Service and change manually the account.
Restart the Wf Service.

Remember security on a TC is an illusion.
Simply press the reset button for 1-2 sec.. you must not do too long .. it will then hard reset.. but soft reset will revert all passwords to default for 5min. ie TC password is now public.
Remember this the next time because anybody at all can change your passwords.
Once into the TC you can then open the view passwords if you wanted any weaker security. Click and open the TC.. and click on edit.. then go to the top menu..
Voila .. all your passwords in plain sight to any Tom Dick and Fred.

How to make use of the presentation variable in SQL result query

I have 2 prompts in my dashboard.
Prompt1 decides the values of Prompt2.
I have set a presentation Variable (selected_comp) in prompt1 which holds the value selected.
To populate the values for Prompt2, I need to execute a query using the presenation variable set by Prompt1.
SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=@{selected_comp}
the query is resulting into
SQL Issued: SELECT "List Of Values".RID from rocketv2_3 WHERE "List Of Values".NAME='COMPONENT' AND "List Of Values".VAL=0
but the value in selected_comp is "ABC".
Can anybody help in how to make use of the presentation variable in query to get the correct value

Just use constrain check box to filter your 2nd prompt values based on the 1st prompt.

How to change the text variables for a standard report-writer report ?

I am trying to change the text variables for a report -writer report and transport the same so as to change the title page and the report output heading .I know the Report-Group 6Z02 and the library 6O1 to which it belongs.I tried using the change transaction GR32 after going to the area menu through FGRP . I try to change the text variables through but it throws an error "You chose a name in the reserved name range - try different name ".
I have also tried copying this report into another report and changing the new report . I was able to change and save the text variables . Now when I try to overwrite the original report 6Z02-001 with this new report , it does not allow that.
Let me know how I can change the text variables for the same

I have a question..... how can we see all the presentation variables defined ( created ) in answers/dashboards..? like if we want to see all the repository variable/session variables..we can see those in BI Admin Tool... from >manage>variable... like so forth is there any way to see all the presentation variables...........

Hi Sri,
We cannot see all the presentation variables at one place. It should require manual work, there are no hard and fast rules for this.
But we can always know about the list of total prompts created in the following path:
\OracleBIData\web\catalog\samplesales\root\shared\sample+sales\prompts

I have installed ECC HA on AIX/ORACLE
now i want to change the environment variables for the qr1adm user at the standby node
i tried to change the /home/qr1adm/.profile with command
vi /home/qr1adm/.profile it is changed and i saved this changes.
now I login with qr1adm user and i executed this command
env |more
it comes with the old values
i don't know why?
and if i oppened the .profile file i'm finding the new values
So could you please tell me how can i change the environment variable for qr1adm user

i want to tell you that R3QASsvc is the virtual hostname
and KFGKWERPR303 is the name of the primary node A
and the phiscal host name of node B is KFGKWERPR307
so which one should i change it?

You are trying to find a loophole to circumvent a basic rule that prohibits the transfer of purchased content from one Apple ID to another.
Content tied to an Apple ID are bound to that Apple ID forever. You can not merge or trade accounts. Well, not (officially) anyway...

Is it possible change the vendor old address while reprinting check in F110?
My user first he run the APP and he print the check with wrong address, after that he realized, he had taken print with old address.
Now he want reprint the check after changing the new address in vendor master.
As per my knowledge, once print the check it will store in REGUH table. if we change address at vendor level it will store at LFA1 Table.
So Is it possible change the vendor old address while reprinting check in F110.
Can any body please give me suggestion regarding on the same

Hi Vamsi,
you are right, it is not possinble to get new address with reprint check.
Along with clearing document system updates vendor details and line item detais in REGUH / REGUP tables. when user get print, system takes data from REGUH and print details.
In your situation cancel check and reset clear documetn and again execute payment, then system fetch new address.
