Thanks
I had similar issue in windows 7 [64 bit].
It is found that the nodemanger windows service was not present and I had to create it by executing installNodeMgrSvc.cmd present in wls server location say, 'C:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.3\server\bin' in my case and then come to bi wls console and 'Resume' the bi_server1 managed server. You would see progress in the installer once the managed server bi_server1 is 'Running' state.
Hope this helps.

Failed to start managed server in weblogic server 9.2.1
Before I'm using WebLogic 9.2.0 and the managed server can startup without any issue. Now, my environment is upgraded to WebLogic 9.2.1 and I'm experiencing a couple of problems. The major problem is that I cannot start my managed server anymore even if the node manager and admin servers are running. Error logged are as follows:

Failes to start Managed server using Nodemanager from admin console
Hi
I have created the cluster using Weblogic version 9.2 MP3 with
Machine 1 --> Admin (AS) + Managed server (MS1)
Machine 2 --> Managed server(MS2)
All the servers(AS,MS1,MS2) are SSL configured to run in production mode.
Machine is associated with each managed server and node manager is up and running.
I have made Host name verification as "None"
When i start the MS 1 from admin console it comes up in running.However MS2 is not coming in running mode.
The server logs states that "Could not connect to admin server"
Cannot decrypt the password ,username and TrustKeyStorePrivatepassphrase.
Even when i write the clear text password and username in Server_Name/data/nodemanager/boot.properties,then also it throws the same error.
Node manager is not configured to SSL.
Any Clue what i am missing????Is your Machine #2 shown as "Reachable" in the admin console ( Machines -> Machine2 -> Monitoring )?
Does your managed server #2 have the same userid and password on its Server -> Configuration -> Server Start page ( UserName & Password fields ) as managed server #1?
Your boot.properties only needs 2 lines, like:
password=your plain text password
username=your plain text username -

Edited by: Sunny.Zhang on 2009-10-3 下午6:58Hi All,
It is same case with me :( , Unable to start managed server wls_ods1 during OIM 11g installation.
My base_domain is configured with the following
1) Oracle JRF 11.1.1.0 (For ADF runtime)
2) Oracle Identity Management - 11.1.1.2.0 (From OIM 11g)
The list of things are not yet configured
1) Oracle WSM Policy Manager - 11.1.1.0 (From OIM 11g)
2) Oracle WSM Policy Manager - 11.1.1.0 (From oracle_common)
3) Oracle JRF Webservices AsyncServices - 11.1.1.0(From OIM 11g)
4) Oracle JRF Webservices AsyncServices - 11.1.1.0(From oracle_common)
5) Oracle Enterprise Manager - 11.1.1.0 (From oracle_common)
I'm not sure, if I've to extend my domain for the Oracle WSM Policy Manager and/or Oracle Enterprise Manager. Or I have to check something else.
Please let me know if you have overcome this issue.
Thanks,

Can anyone help us to fix this issue?Hi,
Apparently, there is a problem in package “*wwsso_ls_private*”. I got below error while trying to compile this package. When I was trying to compile ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_PRIVATE, I got the below errors about parameters
SQL> alter package ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_PRIVATE compile body;
Warning: Package Body altered with compilation errors.
SQL> show error
Errors for PACKAGE BODY ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_PRIVATE:
LINE/COL ERROR
484/4 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored

628/6 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
628/20 PL/SQL: ORA-00904: "LSCI": invalid identifier
681/4 PL/SQL: SQL Statement ignored
684/10 PL/SQL: ORA-00904: "LSCONFIG": invalid identifier
Cause:
The possible cause this issue is some problem that occured when
applying the latest patchset. The patchset does include updates of ODS and ORASSO schemas and their objects. If parts of objects were not updated with the new version and the old version is still in DB, errors may occur (for example when I was trying to compile ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_PRIVATE I got the errors
about parameters, which indicate version mismatch).
To fix this problem, I have re defined the problem giving package.
This package wwsso_ls_private is defined in
$ORACLE_HOME/sso/admin/plsql/sso/ssolsprv.pks
Solution:
I have fixed the problem by following the below steps.
1. Login sqlplus as orasso user of MR
2. Recreate the view wwsso_ls_configuration_info$ by issuing the below DDL statement.
SQL> CREATE OR replace VIEW wwsso_ls_configuration_info$ OF ls_config_type WITH object oid(config_name) as select * from wwsso_ls_configuration_info_t;
3. Now compile the problem giving package.

Management console fails connecting to Management server.
I have installed Oracle 9.2 on Red Hat Advanced Server V2.1.
Also installed Management server and client software on the system.
Started everything up: oemctl start oms, agentctl start agent, apachectl start...
Run Manager Console on Linux machine (i.e. locally)
Runs successfully - connecting stand-alone
Runs successfully - connecting to management sever
Installed client software on a Windows NT PC.
Runs successfully - connecting stand-alone
FAILS - connecting to Management server
On another NT PC, try running web interface to Management server
FAILS - Same error as when using thick client.
Failure is the same in both cases: The exception (java.lang.NullPointerException) occured.
Failure of both of these suggested a server issue...
Don't know where to find management server logs?
Looking at $ORACLE_HOME/Apache/Apache/logs/error_log seems unable to find files, e.g.:

I have tried reinstalling Oracle website, however this made no difference.Can you ping the server which is running OEM from the client NT machine?
Are you trying to connect using DNS or IP?
Verify that this works first. -

i appreciate if someone can help me in this issue.Enterprise Linux is designed for industry standard server hardware. It supports a limited and well known range of peripherals in order to provide commercial support and high reliability.
If you need Linux for any Laptop or Desktop PC, choose a Desktop Linux distribution, like Ubuntu, Fedora, Debian, etc.
Your best option to run Enterprise Linux on non supported hardware is to use hardware virtualization like free Oracle Virtualbox. More information see http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/community/developer-vm/index.html. IMO, there is no compelling reason to try to install Enterprise Linux using dual boot or relying on 3rd party driver software. -

<class-path>/opt/WeblogicApps/cargomax/cargomaxDomainDev/lib/CR326377_92mp2.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/patch_weblogic922/profiles/default/sys_manifest_classpath/weblogic_patch.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/jrockit90_150_10/lib/tools.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/server/lib/weblogic_sp.jar:/opt/WeblogicApps/cargomax/cargomaxDomainDev/lib/tibjms.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/server/lib/weblogic.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/server/lib/webservices.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/common/eval/pointbase/lib/pbclient51.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/server/lib/xqrl.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/p13n/p13n-schemas.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/p13n/p13n_common.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/p13n/p13n_system.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/wlp/netuix_common.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/wlp/netuix_schemas.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/wlp/netuix_system.jar:/opt/Weblogic/WLS9.2.2/platform/lib/wlp/wsrp-common.jar:/opt/WeblogicApps/cargomax/cargomaxDomainDev/lib/swalog4j-1.1.jar</class-path>
I compared the classpath of the MS1 ( Running fine on Machine1, on the same box Admin is also running fine. ) and MS2. They are exactly same and we are passing the same start up argument.
But when I am trying to start the MS2 through admin console its throwing the same error.

Failed to start HTTP server while installing companion CD
Hi all,
I am installing apex 3.1.2 (though it is old version, clients are still using it :) ), on the oracle 10.2.1 database. I am installing HTTP servers from the companion CD and getting error while starting HTTP server from the configuration assistant. I am getting following error.
==================================
Configuration assistant "Starting HTTP Server" failed
The "/u01/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/OHS/cfgtoollogs/configToolFailedCommands" script contains all commands that failed, were skipped or were cancelled. This file may be used to run these configuration assistants outside of OUI. Note that you may have to update this script with passwords (if any) before executing the same.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
===============================
Can someone help me to resolve this issue please. Thanks.
