OBIEE marketing and SIEBEL marketing

Hi,
I have to get data from Siebel Marketing(OLTP) in OBIEE 11.1.1.5 in marketing,so in OBIEE 11.1.1.5 Analytics Marketing shows no data how to do this can help me on this..

To add or modify a Siebel Analytics create segment view
In Siebel Answers, create or modify the request with which you want to work, and then perform one of the following actions:
To add a new create segment view, click the Results tab and choose Other Views > Create Segment from the views drop-down list.
To edit an existing create segment view, click the Results tab, choose Compound Layout from the views drop-down list, and then click the Edit View button for the create segment view.
When you are done, you can save the request with the create segment view

Hi guys.
I want to install the Oracle BI Enterprise Edition in order to use it (Segmentation) from Siebel Marketing.
To ensure the correct cooperation, between oracle BI and siebel Marketing, i have to follow some particular procedure?? or i can install Oracle BI normally and after set correctly some parameter in siebel marketing/oracle BI??
If the answer is PARTICULAR...... WHAT??

For the OBIEE platform itself it's irrelevant whether you use Siebel Marketing or not. The differences are
a) within Siebel - i.e. the administration screens
b) within the BIEE rpd - i.e. the Marketing metadata objects

Siebel sales and siebel marketing is a module in siebel.....so same way as marketing is done.....siebel sales also is integrated......its just a module difference.
Specifically i dont have a document on this imtiaz

Siebel Marketing/OBIEE and cache tables

Dear,
Could someone explain to me the mechanism of the cache tables on OBIEE/SIEBEL Marketing.
For example, the MC_ASSET_MK table contains two columns GUID and QUALIFIED_ID. I understand the meaning of the QUALIFIED_ID column. But what is the meaning of the GUID column. Is it a foreign key to another table ? Which table ?
What is the difference between the two tables MC_ASSET_MK and MC_ASSET_SR ?

Integration between Siebel marketing 7.8 and OBIEE 10g

Could you please let us know which lastest version of obiee 10g supports Siebel markeitng 7.8 application.

Hi,
If your DBMS is 10.2.0.4 and your application servers are Windows there is a serious bug with the 10.2.0.4 client you should be aware of. Please contact me directly or your TAM for the details. It is very difficult to recreate this issue but when it hits you no users will be able to login.
You should also follow the PPS init.ora and statistics strategy. This will be a key to getting good performance with Siebel on 10g. Our recommendations are slightly different from the Siebel recommendations and cover areas they don’t even mention.
I would recommend you use our PPS SQL Record/Playback product to test your actual production SQL on 10.2. This will give you 100% test coverage and is very easy to do.
You also should read the chapter in my friend Jonathan Lewis’ book that describes upgrade surprises in moving from 9i to 10g

Questions regarding Email Marketing and Campaign Management

Hi,
i am facing some problem is using Email marketing and campaign module of CRM On Demand. Need help in solving few queries.
1. I am trying to create the email template and save it for future purpose. I am using fields data column to make email personalize automatically. Problem i am facing is when ever i am opening this template for using it again for another campaign these dynamix fields doesn't come. ONlyu the static text xomes.
2. Second, how can i get the status of email delivered, read etc.
3. And in last, what ever email i am sending, how can i attach them with the receipient (Contact) record.

2 - email receipt status is automatic by Email marketing. You should see it in the Campaign Detail - section Recipients
3 - Campaign Detail - section Recipients > You can insert Contacts manually or via Data Import or via Segmentation Wizard.

Siebel Marketing ESD not sending Email

I have installed Siebel Marketing and configured it to send email through launching campaigns. Without intervention of ESD, my emails through F9 (Menu bar->File->Send Email) goes fine but when i send it through a campaign it is not received at the other end, i have not installed BHD so that i can only work on this issue and Send Email first. i have checked my SMTP and its sending mail through telnet just fine. So could anyone tell me what is the problem or what am i missing??
I have configured ESD according to guide and all the verification are in place. There is no error in ESD log or Siebel log related to it. Only thing which i doubt is an error is that "r" 450 4.1.8 <SEMA-CR-1-83O3@CHANGEME>: Sender address rejected: Domain not found" after every contact it processes, be it a valid or invalid email. Kindly any answers would be really appreciated.

Siebel Marketing 7.8 (Unable to load Campaign)

Am working in siebel marketing 7.8. We done following steps to load a campaign.
1) New campaign created in campaign screen.
2) Offer has been associated in design tab.
3) list is added for the created campaign.
4) In program design palatte, allocated stage with the list for created campaign.
5) Verified the following servers are online.
* Marketing Object Manager
*Marketing Server
*Workflow Management
*System Management
But still am getting the "Campaign Load" task status as pending. Is there any steps missing? please guide me.

It seems to me that your workflows are disabled. Please enable all Marketing Workflows and restart the load.

Is it necessary to have RTD Application installed in order to integrate RTD with Siebel Marketing (configure IOG: )? or you just need RTD installed?

Siebel Marketing License Key

Helllo guys,
We are studying the idea of implementing Siebel Marketing. So I'm trying to find the license key for Siebel Marketing. I have found one link but its for Siebel Marketing Analytics and Marketing Planning Analytics Option. So my question is are these two enough to view all functionality of the Siebel Marketing screens? Or are there any more license keys to enter?

Thanks for the reply. Yes I have changed the name from <AnalyticsServerName> to the hostname..logged in and out but the Marketing and Marketing Analytics screen is blank and in the corner of the internet browser it says "Error on page"

Functionality of Siebel Marketing

I want to know the functionality of various siebel applicaions. We all use Contacts, Accounts, Product, Service Requests etc in Siebel. But for each specific applications like Call Center, eMedia, eMedical, Life Sciences, Marketing what is the functionality or business process that is differentiating it from other applications?
Can anyone tell me the business flow that is the basis for developing each of these applications? In a broader sense, I am looking for 'what a eMedia business does by using eMedia application, that I can not achieve through eMedical or Marketing'?

Hi Topsiy
The logic varies widely with different business processes. In general, you can say that in a Call Center application the following steps may happen:
1. User dials in and Siebel CTI routes the call to the appropriate agent.
2. This gets registered as an event and also creates an activity in the application as a child of the event.
3. Agent opens up a smart script and fills in user responses to the various standard questions.
4. If user is satisfied, agent completes the activity and closes the call.
5. Else, the call is transfered to a superior or another more knowledgeable agent for proper resolution.
6. A new activity is created for the other user and process loops as in above steps.
The stuff in bold is standard Siebel Terminology generally used in a Call Center Application.
The stuff in italics is also standard Siebel Terminology but different organizations may call it differently.

As per my knowledge i am telling forecasting is done by Historical Data { MM & PP Module }
when you collect the data based that we have to plan every month how much you want to procure the raw material etc..,
that should be entered in the material master under "Forecasting" tab there we have to maintain monthly wise forecasting values
i think it should get some idea if i wrong please clarify

Business One for Fuel Marketing and Transportation

I have a prospect who requires a system to handle marketing and transportation of petroleum based fuels. Has anyone dealt with this scenario before?

It turns out this company is not doing true fuel "transportation" via pipeline. They are simply trucking their product, so this should be a simple distribution situation.
