Kindly clarify on the following..
1.Can we install obiee 11.5.1.1.0 on AIX 6.1 TL6 SP6...as per certification matrix "Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.5.0 is certified on IBM AIX on POWER Systems (64-bit) 6.1 Service Pack 5+".
2. port numbers required for Web access, OBIEE developer access and MS Office plugin access, and which ports do we need to be available.

I have a server (2008 R2) in DMZ network and the domain controller (also 2008 R2) is sitting in the internal network. There is no domain or domain controller in DMZ network, only one domain in internal network. The server in DMZ is a domain member. I opened
all the necessary ports through firewall mentioned in below article:

When I use domain credentials to log on to the server in DMZ, it successfully logs in but takes about 5 mins for the log in process to complete! As a test, I opened ANY (all ports) and then log in takes only a few seconds (normal time).
Can someone tell me whats the reason? Is the above mentioned article missing ports that should also be opened?

The ./docs/guides PDF folder in sdk (Build 244) just contains "IDML Specification.pdf".
Which Mac/Win versions ?
Which XCode/Visual versions ?
How to convert a CS6 project to CC ?
Where are usual docs ?

The docs you are looking for are in the final, released, SDK which you can request access to from here: http://www.adobe.com/devnet/indesign.html.
They are no included in the SDK you currently have since that was a pre-release build which didn't have final documentation PDFs included.

Vivado 2015.1 Bug Report: Adding Required Port without Default Value in Custom Interface Definition

When adding a port using the Custom Interface Definition window and not defining a Default Value, the attached error message appears. Not only are the html tags visible, but this error should not be thrown in the first place if both Master/Slave Presense is set to "required". As it is, a port can only be added if a Default Value is given, but can be removed later from the ports table.

yes,I have successfully install petalinux2015.2,but,the issue still be the same as before,the axi 16550 is not working,when I run echo 123 > /dev/ttyS1,my ttyPS0 stop working and axi com keeping null output...
then,I try petalinux2014.4+petalinux2014.4,the difference is the ttyPS0 still alive but axi-com still null...
I found that pl.dtsi file is quite different between the three mode:
M1,petalinux2014.4+vivado2015.1
M2,petalinux2015.2+vivado2015.1
M3,petalinux2014.4+vivado2014.4
most confuse for me is the interrupt ID,
in vivado I connect the axi intterrupt to ID 62 but I get different auto generate dts file
M1:nothing about interrupt and i add manuually in system-top.file
M2:vivado ID is 61 but dts "interrupts = <0 30 4>"
M3:vivado ID is 62 but dts "interrupts = <0 31 4>"
does petalinux auto detect the vivado interrupt connection and ID and write to dts file right or User have to verify and rewrite in ststem-top.dts?

I have allowed the TCP 1433,1434,135 and 80 but still unable to connect the remote SQL named instance DB for the SCCM 2012 R2... and getting below error..can you please suggest if any other port required for the same, i have turned off the windows
firewall and RPC service is running ob Remote SQL and SCCM 2012 R2 server..

Change required ports during Network Monitor's installation

Hi everyone,
i've found a conflict with port 8009.
Network monitor requires it as free during installation, but an instance of a Tomcat server is already using it. As I can't change tc config, I need to know if there's another way to install NM in which I could assign that port to another one that is free.

Is there any secured port that can be used instead of 9704/ If so, how to make the changes from default port to someother http port? What type of authentication is enabled by default for users access over the internet?

Hi friend,
OBIEE can manage user access by Security Manager in Administration Tool. Security manager is used to setup users, groups, synchronize with LDAP server and to control information can be used by users/groups.
Port 9704 uses the authentication mechanism defined on Administration Tool, for example, using LDAP and Oracle database tables with information about users.

I have a requirement where i need to show the tile in subreport dynamically like Employee Headcount By accounting/Accountant/Manager..
Example:
I have report A (Parent Report).I have used column selector to show Trend.Let say Department wise,job wise and Position wise
This report A navigates to the Report B(sub report) wherein Details of the employee is shown.
My requirement is
Report B does have Title.As Per the click on the Parent Report column the Title need to be change in Report B.
Workaround I did to achieve this:
1)Created the Same Presentation Variable for all the column(Departement:@{DEPT},Position:@{DEPT}},Job:@{DEPT})
2)Prompted in Report A using the PV
3)And added this Variable in Title View.
But this will work if we have Dashboard Prompt for all this columns.
Another Method:
1)Created Dummy column in Report B where Condition write is
CASE WHEN 1=0 THEN Department_desc ELSE job_desc.....
END
What it do is always get Fail and show Job Desc even for department
2)Narrative this column in Narrative View.

Required ports to be open on the firewall?

Hello everyone,
I'm sure this question has been answered earlier but I wasn't lucky enough to find it! I evern tried to look into metalink but I couldn't find anything useful.
I have an OCS Rel2 installation ready and it is time to have it public on the internet. I have my servers placed in DMZ but I want to know what ports need to be open on the firewall? Are they 7777 and 7778 only?! I doubt it!
I would really appreciate a point to a relevant document or whatsoever.

Depends on what parts of OCS you are going to need remotely...If you go to http://yoursite:7778/ and then go to the Ports tab, there will be a listing...
For my config we have the following ports open...but if you are just going to use the webmail/webcal then you only need 7777-7779
smtp - 25
imap - 143
5730 - cal server
7777-7779 - Apache Midtier
2400 - iMeeting

We have 2 FE pools in two Geographical locations, each FE pool has 3 Lync 2013 Ent servers. Uses from each locations IM, av and video conference among them. In such case what ports need to be opened between the pools?
In case of DR at any locations users from DR locations will be moved to surviving node. In such case what ports need to be opened between the pools?

OK, I have a question regarding the ports for ZLM. Please do NOT refer me to the documentation as I've read it but it does not specify if the traffic needs to be bi-directional or just one way (either from client to server or server to client). The two ports that I have questions about are 2544 and 8089. Specifically, do we need to allow 2544 and 8089 from the clients to the server only, have the ports open both ways or just need communication from the server to the clients on those ports?

port 2544 is open on the client side an waiting for incoming connections from the ZLM server. When you issue a device refresh or something, then the ZLM server will connect to port 2544 on the client and submit that command.
Regarding port 8089 I'm not sure but it looks like that that port must be open on the ZLM server for incoming connections. I think no outgoing are needed.

We are in process of Lync Server 2013 enterprise deployment where all the workloads will be used. We have two distinct datacenters representing two different sites. Below is the infrastructure information
Single Forest
ContoBill.Com
Empty root domain with three child domains
Users.contobill.com
Resources.contobill.com
Staging.contobill.com
Two AD Sites Default and DR both of them will have DC/GC/DNS for all the domains
Physically we have three tier architecture
Two Datacenters both are identical, details below
Tier1: DMZ that will host the servers that are not in domain and are used for internet gateways like Edge, Proxy etc
Tier2: Internal network (intranet) that will host the database servers and applications
Tier3: Internal network (Intranet) that will host Exchange, SharePoint and Lync
Each tier is a different IP subnet and there is a firewall between each of them, and also there is a firewall between the datacenters as well.
I have following questions in order to plan the lync deployment in highly available environment and maintain supportability.
Q1. Does Microsoft support having firewall between a pool pair, the pool is active/passive and will be utilized only in case of disaster recover.
Q2. If this scenario in Q1 is supported what are the required ports that are required to be opened on the network firewall. In order to successfully synchronize between the pairs
Q3. Does Microsoft support having a firewall between the frontend and backend servers, if yes what are the required ports to be opened on the network firewall

Can anybody tell me the ports required for distribution point. as in I have a site server with distribution point in HO, i want to have a distribution point server on a remote site. i went through the microsoft document which says u require port 445 open between site server and distribution point and it says u only require port 80 or 443 open between distribution point and branch distribution point. little confused!!!. which ports i require to be open between site server with distribution and remote site distribution point.

Server 2012 - Problem with multiple instances of RDS looking to the same license server. Server Pools requiring the wrong servers.

Hi All,
I have two domains, prod.local and test.local. On prod.local, I have a license server living on the connection broker. I have created a two way trust between the domains so that the RDS instance on test.local can use the license server on prod.local.
When I first setup the RDS instance on test.local and point it to use the license server on prod.local everything appears to work, all servers recognize the license server.
However when I log off and back on, and click the RDS dashboard in test.local, the Remote Desktop Services overview states I need to add every server from prod.local to the server pool. This is bothersome because the Remote Desktop Services on test.local
is still functioning, but I am no longer able to manage it. When I add the servers from prod.local to the server pool I am displayed the setup for prod.local instead of test.local
Is there a way around this? Can I use the same RDS license server key multiple times?
tldr: Using a different domain's license server causes my RDS instance in Server Manager to display the wrong RDS farm.

Thank you for posting in Windows Server forum.
Please check the required ports must be opened on firewall.
- To issue RDS Per User CALs to users in other domains, there must be a two-way trust between the domains, and the license server must be a member of the Terminal Server License Servers group in those domains.
- To restrict the issuance of RDS CALs, you can add RDS Host Servers into Terminal Server Computers group on RDS Licensing servers.
- Configure RDS licensing server on all RDS Host Servers in each domain/forest. You can do it through RDS host configuration snap-in or through a group policy.
- Add administrators group of each domain/forest in the local administrators of RDS licensing server. This way, you’ll not get a prompt to enter your credentials when you’ll open RDS host configuration snap-ins in trusted domains/forests.
