OBIEE11G - Fusion middle ware not starting.
Hello,
I just installed OBIEE11g suite on my windows machine by following steps outlined below.
Step 1.
On windows explorer
go to
C:\COEXSYS_BI\user_projects\domains\bifoundation_domain\bin
and startWeblogic.cmd in admin mode
Step 2.
Go to weblogic console and start BI_SERVER1 managed
wait till status resumes to running
Step 3.
Go to CMD as administrator
navigate to C:\COEXSYS_BI\instances\instance1\bin
ran opmnctl startallAs a result, I am able to start and login weblogic, bi pulblisher, BI EE, Real time decisions. But,For some reason it will not start oracle fusion middle ware control(/em)
What am I mssing?

I hope you are using http:\\localhost(or FQDN):7001\em as the URL to launch EM

I have successfully installed OBIEE11G but the installation has not been stable. Sometimes I find all three components 1) web logic 2) fusion middle ware control and 3) bi publisher
whereas most of time, only weblogic console is coming up.
When I tried to manually start the fusion middleware deployment it gives following error
weblogic.management.DeploymentException: [J2EE:160149]Error while processing library references. Unresolved application library references, defined in weblogic-application.xml: [Extension-Name: adf.oracle.domain, Specification-Version: 1, Implementation-Version: 11.1.1.1.0, exact-match: false], [Extension-Name: oracle.webcenter.skin, exact-match: false].And how do I start bi publisher services. Currently when I launch BI Publisher I get following
Error 404--Not Found

After complete installation of obiee 11g
step 1 :- start the listener and services manually
step 2 :- Start BI services from all programs/Business intelligence/start bi services.This enables you to start OPMN,Node manager,BI server,Presentation server,BI Publisher server
This is the method i do follow for starting up.If you want to individually start and stop the services go to FM EM console and BI foundation in that capacity management in that screen you can start or stop.The URL's mentioned are correct with their default port numbers.

Proposal for 12 database and Fusion Middle-ware.
Dear all,
i am not sure that the question is relevant here or not, if not then please accept my sorry for that.
we are going to move to 12c database and fusion middle-ware from 10g database.
our head of department ask me to prepare a proposal for that so i ask and forward it to the top management.
i am wonder what should i include in that proposal?

If you have a proper Support contract, it includes Update support. So upgrading an existing implementation doesn't require additional licences to be purchased. You'd need additional licences if you are increasing your licence count (Processors or Users), adding database options (e.g. the 12c MultiTenant Database Option is a new feature that needs additional licencing) etc

Additionally, if you are installing on a 64bit OS, you will need to install a 64bit JDK (version 1.6.0_xx) in order to correctly complete the WLS installation. Refer to the Installation Guide for details about this:

The complete installation steps will require that you review the product Installation Guide. However, here are the basic steps assuming you are installing on a 64bit machine:
Release 2

3. Run the FMw 11.1.2.0 (64bit) installation. You can choose either "Install Only" or "Install and Config".</blockquote>

In general, if you read and follow the Installation Guide, you should not have a problem. I understand that the documentation can be a little confusing, but the trick is to understand exactly your situation. In other words, know what you are installing and on what you are installing it. For example+,

My installation will be all on one machine

My OS user is a member of the Windows Admin Group (for Windows). I have root access (for Unix)

Oracle application server middle tier not starting
I installed oracle 10g application server( version 10.1.2) in windows 2003 server.
In the same machine we have infrastucture and middle tier installed.
last 6 months it is working fine.
now i stop all from ias console to stop the middle tier.
in the ias console page it is showing all component is down.
Now when i click on start all it is giving error "all components are already started."
But in the ias console page all component are showing down.
Now if i give stop all then it is showing error all component already stop.

Because middle tiers depend on OracleAS Infrastructure services, you need to ensure that the OracleAS Infrastructure services are started first, followed by middle-tier services. You can do this in the following ways:
1.Give the OracleAS Infrastructure an Oracle home name that alphabetically comes before the middle-tier name. (When you restart a computer, Windows typically starts up services in alphabetical order.) For example: name the OracleAS Infrastructure "Infra", and name the middle tier "J2EE".
2.Edit the registry (using the Registry Editor) to delay the start of the middle-tier services by setting up dependencies between the OracleAS Infrastructure and middle-tier services. You do this after installing both OracleAS Infrastructure and middle tier. See Section 16.6, "Service Dependencies" for details.

Middle ware settings and replication issue

I am trying to replicate DNL_CUST_BASIS3 object . I have done all Middle ware settings as per note
Note 720819 - Middleware consumer entry for SRM in OLTP system
my system details : SRM 7 EHP1
I am having active RFC from ECC and SRM.
When I run R3AS for object "DNL_CUST_BASIS3".
I am getting error in SMQ1 (outboud )in SRM with this error The initial download in the R/3 Adapter was terminated with note "212666 - Initial load canceled because of
corrected QRFC queues"
Generally we see errors in Queue in SRM in inbound SMQ2 but I am getting the error in outbound queue.
i checked SMQ1
I feel that that Middle ware not able to connect to ECC adapter.
I checked my RFC connects and tables in R/3 all are fine.
If any body has simmilliar issue pls guide.

Kindly follow the below steps to resolve the issue here.
1) Maintain the table TBLSYSDEST in both SRM and ERP system with regards to the logical system and Technical and Dialog rfc's.
Also assign the MW_admin in the rfc user.Register the queues with * smqr.
2) Follow the sap note 720819 and maintain all the 5 tables correctly.
3) Before you start the download, you must use transaction SE38 to execute the report BBP_PRODUCT_SETTINGS_MW in the EBP system. In the 'User' field, enter the consumer name that you selected (for example, "SRM").
Select the radio button depending on whether service products should be active or not. The report starts with the default settings in test mode.
4) Ensure that the table CRMATAB in ERP system holds the entries after the step 1. IF it is blank then follow the sap note 1498111 and run the report SMOF_FILL_CRMATAB in SRM.
5) Also check for the R3-Guid in the tables CRMMLSGUID (SRM system) and CRMPRLS (ERP system ). Both should be identical with the logical system.
Kindly abort and load the object again, it should work fine.

yet another forum suggested taking a cleanly shut down model.mdf and model.ldf from another sql server 2008 instance and placing those in the data directory while moving the 'restoring' ones to a backup location. this didnt work either. any help is appreciated im new to sql server and this is very frustrating! thanks in advance!I have the same issue on SQL Server 2008R2, after a server reboot, but none of the NET START commands or command line attempts are successful to start the Service.

when i plug my ipod in it says ipod cant be read cuz the apple mobile device is not started.And i went to services and apple mobile device properties and start stops in the middle.and its on automatic.and there isnt a stop button.when i click start it says the apple mobile device services stopped in the middle then stopped.it said some services stop in the middle if not used by other services.and i just updated itunes before all a this and ever since ive had errors.

bi_server1 is not starting in OBIEE11g.
All the services are alive except the bi_server1.
While doing restarting in console getting a message called
Failed to instantiate logViewer class

I didnt changed any thing in config files.
In console when i am trying to restart the bi_server1 we are getting a message called FAILED_NOT_RESTARTABLE.
Can any one say what is the cause for this error.
In my error log file these are the errors which i got

fusion application doesn't use oaf. it's ebs related technology only -
firefox was installing an update and i accidently hit the power button and so it shut down in the middle of the update. after i started my computer again, firefox would not start up. i tried to download it hoping the update would complete but it still would not start up when i clicked on the icon. so i tried to delete it and it would not delete said it was open, so i shut down and restarted the computer. then it deleted using the control panel remove program option. after that i logged onto IE to mozilla.org and downloaded it, afterward it still would not open up or connect to the internet.

It sounds like you've tried to do the right thing- by uninstalling and then reinstalling. I'm hoping that you can look over the steps I usually suggest and see if there is anything different that may help you get a fresh version of Firefox installed.
