can i use an OL for Forms 10G to Forms 6i..?

Can't you recreate manually on Forms6i ..???No i can't
I mean examine the objects included in it and its properties(on Forms10g)
and then create exactly the same in Forms6ii tried the objects r dimmed i mean i have no access to an obj in an obj liberary
i asked a friend telling me this is through building a Template Form we have to drag and drop objects after specifing for example LOV with it's properties,etc.
The big issue is theat the origional Template was replaced by mistake (((((
Maybe the faster method is what Gerd suggested.... convert it in fmtHow could i do this to which form 6i or 10G ?

How to change objects in object library?

I saved an object in the object library and used it as parent object to create some subclass objects in several form modules. Now I want to modify the object in the object library so all the subclass objects can inherit the changes made in the parent object. How can I change the object saved in the library?

1- Open New Form
2- Drag the object you want to modify to it
3- Modify it in the opened Form
4- Drag it back to the Object Library
Rem: Be sure all Forms that are using this object are closed when you start this procedure.

ID CS3 - Objects from Object Library change unexpectedly, not wanted!

Hi,
Our production group has experienced this on several occasions. We create catalogs, so need a number of objects in our object library... boxes, charts, price points, icons, logos... trouble is that sometime after I set them up, they change unexpectedly. No one is updating the objects.
For instance, our standard box below charts is supposed to have a .5 pt. 50% black rule. At times when we drag it into a document, it comes in as 1 pt. 100% black! Not good! I need to have these objects flawless, for consistency, and just so everyone in the dept. doesn't have to remember sizes, screens, etc.
We work from three templates (inside pages, back cover, front cover)... is there an overriding object style which I may need to turn off? Or what?

Now here's the next question. I've revised all of our templates, our object styles are all set, as well as paragraph and character styles.
I have instructed the staff to use the new templates-- however we use some of our old pages, so we will be dragging in items (objects, text) from old layouts onto the new templates. Won't these old styles populate the style panels... and is there a way I can get the new styles to override the old? (Aside from re-naming them all).

Huh? Of course you can maintain an OL after creating it, as long as you know how...
To add an item to the library, just drag it in from a form.
To remove an item from the library, just select it and press delete.
To edit an item you have to be sneaky - drag it from the library into a form, select "Copy" when it asks you what to do, update the properties you want to change, delete the original item from the library and drag the revised item into the library.
Now to go back to original question about what to use, there's very little to choose between them, but I'd go for Object Libraries because of "smartclasses". If you have, say, a checkbox in your object library, you can mark it as a "smartclass". Now, when you place a checkbox in the layout editor you can right-click on it and the "smartclass" appears in the menu. Very quick and easy way of ensuring all items pick up standard properties.

Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found

I have an excel macro application. It works ok in my machine. Whenever I send it to my colleague and he opens the file and save and send it back to me, I get the below error. But, it is working
ok in my colleague machine.

Looks like some recent windows update is causing this issue. I tried to delete the temporary file from the command prompt as mentioned in some of the forums using the below command. But, still it
is not working.
DEL /S /A:H /A:-H *.EXD
Even tried to uninstall the recent windows update on both of our machines, but still the issue is not resolved. It is working ok in his machine, but I get the compile error. Please share your thoughts.

I've heard some cases that even deleting EXD files and running the FixIt tools, ActiveX controls weren't working.
Can you confirm if you can insert ActiveX controls in your worksheet, please?
(Developer tab >> Insert button >> any ActiveX control of your choice)

Rename Object Library Orphans Dependant Forms

Hi.
We are using Forms 6i, and we LOVE object libraries. We have a canned product that we customize for clients. Each client has their own naming standards, and so we end up changing the name of our object library.
I was wondering if there was a technique of being able to do this so that each form that is subclassed off of it is automatically updated.
I have tried converting form to text and updating references to OLB. However, there are still references back to the OLB... Doing this manually would be a very exasperating task.
Any comments would be appreciated!!!!

module_type=library is used to compile pll files. It's not for fmb files.
First, see if you can open and compile your library fmb file in Forms Builder.There is no problem compiling the library form. I even ran it to create an .fmx
Then open a regular fmb file and see if you can compile.If by regular you mean a fmb that uses the library then the results are in my original post. Compiling a fmb that does not use the library works fine.
Where in the dependent forms is the property that says to load these objects from the library.An object has the Subclass Information propety set.Not sure what this means. What I need is a way of looking at whatever property is saying 'look for these objects in this form located in the filesystem/database'. Can I do this in Form Builder?
Does 6.0 support library forms? Do they have to be compiled into special form such as .pllA pll is a library for procedures. A library fmb has objects (blocks, items, LOV's etc.). You can also have procedures in >a fmb library, but it is better to move them to a pll library.I don't care what way it's done so long as I get something that works

Error in VBA reference for Adobe Photoshop CS4 Object Library

Hello,
I'm using Windows 7 Pro, MS Office 2010 Pro and Creative Suite CS4 (with all updates).
I will automate Photoshop via Visual Basic for Applications in MS Access.
Befor using there the Adobe Photoshop CS4 Object Library I must reference it in VBA.
But when I will du this, I get the message "Error loading DLL".
When I will manually reference to the WIASupport.8LI File, I get the error: "Cannot reference this file"
Can you give a tip, how I can solve this problem?

I have the same problem! I have photoshop cc2014 (which we own) and the object library shows, but not for cs 5.1 (30 day trial).
Does registering unlock something?

Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Object Library for PSE 8 ?

I want to write a program to loop over all tags and copy the associated fotos to folders named with the tag-name. By this way I have a good structure to select the fotos on stick / DigiFrame.
I'm a Unify TeamDeveloper developer, so it's no problem for me. But: in TD I can generate the COM classes to access PSE. I think the right object library for this is Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Object Library.
I have a complete installation of PSE 8 on my computer but this Object Library is not present.
Does Adobe Photoshop 8.0 Object Library not serve for PSE8? Where can I get it?
the one I have is Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 Media Client 1.0 Type Library. There are some methods like GetTags. But what is the input parameter tagIds? The return is a object. But the Media Client has no class Tags.
I also searched google, perhaps already exists a plugin for such a export. But I found nothing.
Can anybody help me?

Dear Adobe Community,
I am using the Adobe (JetForm) Output Designer Version 5.4.0. 130
As we are working in a team on several forms (IFDs), which include
some objects from a object library, we would like to share the same library
within the team. I could not find any option to export / import objects from one
library to another one.
Is there a possibility to share the same library with multiple users, for example on a
network-share-drive? If yes, how can we implement this?

-both users must have sharing enabled in their iPhoto Preferences
-both users must be logged in and have iPhoto running
-Remember that you can only view the other library. You can't edit the photos or play the saved slideshows or view the made books or burn them to CD or DVD. The books and slideshows will show up as an album. You can play that album as an "on the fly" slideshow. You can drag images from the sharing library to your library in the source column to import them to your library. You can then edit, add to albums, books, slideshow, etc.

You can try one of these three methods:
1- Use iPhoto Library Manager-the paid version
The documentation page will give instructions on how it is done.
2- Sharing one iPhoto library between several users on one machine
3- Share an iPhoto Library in tiger Using ACL's
4- I have also read about ShareAlike
There is no other info on the site about how it works.
I strongly urge anyone wanting to try any of the methods for sharing one iPhoto Library folder among more than one user to backup all iPhoto Library folders before attemptin anything.

I would like to share music with my Dad we both have ipod classics and i tunes installed, my library is backed up on hard drive helives abroad and we are visiting soon how do we share library content? Can I do it by plugging my hard drive into his pc?

I don't want to take my pc with me but the hard drive may be an option. Can we share music from my hard drive plugged into his pc? and if so how? also can I then copy music from his library onto the hard drive so that i can sync them to my i pod. Or is there a way we can do it with just the i pods and pc? Pls help techno novice!

System Preferences - Sharing. If you cannot find System Preferences, then use Command - Spacebar and type System Preference and when you see it in Spotlight (uper right) hit return.

How to load the object library at run time from within the script.

What i am trying to do from my library is that I wanted to load the object library file (.properties) file at run time through the script. I know that open script has a deprecated method "ft.loadObjectLibrary". Is there any other method other than the deprecated one?. Also is there a way that I can unload the library?

I have my iTunes media on an external drive but I would like to know if I keep the library file back to my internal hard drive so it gets backed up by Time Machine.

I have all my media on an external drive for space. Is there a way I move the library file back to my internal had drive so that Timemachine will keepa backup of the file. Recently my library file became damaged and I lost all my playlists and playcounts and all that good stuff. Thanks for your help.

I never lost any media mind you just the library file that tell iTunes where everything lives.
On this point, you can keep a copy of of the "Itunes Music Library.xml" file, which contains the itunes metadata for your music library (songs & playlists).
Obviously, you would still need the files themselves for this to be of any worth, but if you ever find yourself in the same situation you can use the .xml file to recreate iTunes as it was. Keep in mind that you must import the .xml file into iTunes for this to work, you cannot simply move it via the finder.

The iPhoto library should be in your user folder/Pictures unless it was moved.

How to Capture the Objects in Object Library in Openscript tool?

Hi Ajith,
Create one Object Library. In OpenScript click File -> New -> Select Object Library under Script Assets.
Then mention name of your library and save it.
Add this library to script assets of your script. Select Script -> Script Properties... -> Script Assets -> Object Library -> Add(button) -> select your Object Library.
Then save your script and start recording. After recording you can see xpath of all objects you interacted with during your script recording.
If you want to apply this to your script, select Script -> Apply Object Library.. -> then select your Object Library. If you want to revert it, then select Script --> Revert All Navigation To Recorded
