Object moving locked in marketing plan

Hello,
We have created a marketing plan with a specific nomenclature.Then we have released it so that the budget can be transfered to BW and then to R/3.
But it shows the status as Object moving locked where as it should be with status approved and released.
Will there be any problem in future if the marketing plan is of staus object moving locked.

Check into Customer Relationship Management->Marketing->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->System Landscape->Define ERP Integration Type

    Start Authorization Trace in tcode ST01 and see what all authorization checks get executed.
    Later on from this trace you can identify the authorizations.

  • Object is locked ( Plan ver.,obj.ty.,obj.ID )

    I got one message while processing IDOC like " A lock key has been set for the object.The object is : plan version,Object Type,Object ID."...If anyone knows,plz guide me....

    The reason why you get this lock error could be that someone was locking it when the IDOC was posted. Or it could also be that the object is sent in several IDOCs, and the object is locked in one IDOC so if the second IDOC is also sending the object, it is not fully posted as it was locked in the first one. In that case please check [SAP note 418212|https://service.sap.com/sap/support/notes/418212].

    Hi Jaya,
    I haven't used this particular workflow but hopefully the following is of use:
    - Email to initiator- the likely explanation is that the workflow has not identifed the recipient's email address. Follow steps 4 & 5 from the Blog and this should resolve the issue.
    - Cancelled Event - The wait step listens out for the triggering of the corresponding event on the BOR object.
          i.e. for this workflow wait step 164 is listening out for CANCELLED to be raised on that particular instance of BUS2010020.
          If this is triggered that branch of the fork will be triggered.
    - Locked/Rejected - There is no step (that I can see) that notifies the initiator that the campaign has been locked.
      However you can add your own Send Mail step(s). An alternative approach would be to have additional branches that listen for the  BUS2010020.locked and the rejected events and then have your Send Mail steps, however this is probably overcomplicating the solution.
    - Schedule condition and start condition - Again I haven't used campaigns yet but in the Blog they are using the Marketing Project Campaign BOR Object status profile and status table  - look at object BUS2010020 in SWO1.

  • System Status Authorizations for Marketing Plans and Campaigns

    Hi Experts,
    We are using the Standard System Statuses on the Marketing Planner like the Created , Released, Approved, Finished, Locked and Rejected. My requirement is to limit the access to the Users for these Statuses. For Example :
    User 1 will have access to Created.
    User 2 will have access to Aproved.
    User 3 will have access to Aproved,Released, Create
    How do I set the Authorizations for the System status based on the User? I tried creating Authorization Keys under Status Profiles, but I am not clear on where to assign them.
    Please guide me.

    Thanks for your input. I am planning to go with your second option to go with assigning the Authorization objects at the Marketing Plan and also at the Campaign level . My only concern here is will we be able to assign status specific authorizations here ?
    The Authorization objects given are for change, create etc. There are no status specific authorization  objects mentioned.   My requirement is the person who creates the MP should have access to release it and only the approver should be able to see the approved status and change the status o approved.
    Do you suggest using Authorization keys and assigning them ?If so where do we define the restictions on the Authorization keys like
    Authorization Group 1 has authorization to Create , modify  a MP and can only   View / Change the  statuses to Create and Release.
    Authorization Group 2 has access to Modify and has access to change the  statuses to Aproved.
    Is there any way this can be achieved ? Please let me know if I am going in the right direction.

  • Text determination procedure in Marketing Plan

    HI All,
    I am using text object CGPL_TEXT and Text determination procedure MPL assigned under it. Text determination procedure MPL has two text types "Description" and "Notes". System is allowing to select "Notes" in marketing plan and enter the text. Next time if I try to select same type "Note" then system is giving error "Make entry in the field Language". But I can select other type "Description" and enter the text.
    Does it mean system allow to enter text for a text type only once? What if I want to use same text type for multiple time to enter information related to the same item.
    Any pointer?

    Dear Nikhil,
    You are correct that in standard only one text type can be created per language... i.e. 'Note in English' or 'Description in English' can only be created once. But you can certainly add information to a previously created text type.
    I'm not sure if there is a technical way to change this.

    I was creating a marketing plan in CRM. I saved a excel file as attachment in the element of marketing plan. Now I want to get  the data in excel file .

    Hi Abhinav,
    - Table SMOATTACHLNK is the attachment Link table to link attachments to Business Objects like Marketign Plan.
    - Table SMOATTACHMNT is the attachment Header table containing all the file attributes like Name, size, physical path, logical path etc.
    - Link between SMOATTACHLNK and SMOATTACHMNT:
    1. Pass Project GUID to SMOATTACHLNK-PARENTID, and extract SMOATTACHLNK-SFAATTACHMNT.
    2. Pass extracted SMOATTACHLNK-SFAATTACHMNT to SMOATTACHMNT-SFAATTACHMNT, and extract PHIO_ID, PHIO_CLASS, LOIO_ID, and LO_CLASS.
    - Get the content of file
    Use class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS. It has so many methods to deal with attachment and its content.
    For example, to get the binary content of attachment,
    1. Create object of class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS, and use method GET_DOCUMENT with exporting parameter IO-OBJTYPE = P, IO-CLASS = PHIO_CLASS, and IO-OBJID = PHIO_ID (Process by using PHIO details). Similarly, we can also use LOIO details as IO-OBJTYPE = L, IO-CLASS = LO_CLASS, and IO-OBJID = LOIO_ID as exporting parameter.
    2. Importing parameter CONTENT_BIN of class CL_CRM_DOCUMENTS will contain contents of the attachment in Binary format.

    The custom fields in marketing palanner will be an attribute. To add a new field in Marketing planner screen you need to create attributes for a set types. This is done with the transaction COMM_ATTRSET.
    The validations can be done in the BADI. In SAP IMG, Under Marketing planning and campaign management, BADI's are aviailable. Create a new implementation.  (Option : BADI Additonal checking and controlloing options). Include the validations in CHECK_ATTRIBUTE method.
    Data can be accessed using the ELEMENT_READ method on object CL_CRM_MKTPL_APPL_BASE Find values in the return table EX_ATTRIBUTES.
    Use tables CGPL_TASK , CGPL_PROJECT,CGPL_HEIRARCHY to collect the Mkt fields wherever required.
    Set type values can accessed by the ELEMENT_READ method on object CL_CRM_MKTPL_APPL_BASE and finding a value in the return table ET_SETTYPE_VALUES
    Note: You need to be careful in adding the attributes.

  • ** SMQ2 - Object is locked by PIAFUSER - Message Has Errors

    In SXMB_MONI, for a particular message, in the Queue column, we have 'red color' time bomb symbols. It shows 'Message Has Error'. When we double click the queue. we can see an error message 'Object is locked by PIAFUSER'. So, how to solve this problem and restart the message ?

    1)  clear the queues in SMQ2,first try to activate them,if that doesn't work them delete them
    2)You may need to re-register your queues.
    Follow SXMB_ADM -> Manage Queues -> Deregister Queues
    Afterwards, re-register the queues and activate from the same screen
    3)Only use SMQ1 (outbound queues) and SMQ2 (inbound queues) if re-registering doesn't fix it. You will need to give the queues sometime to get activated so be patient.
    4)From SXMB_MONI go to Queue ID of the message, a click here shall take you to qRFC monitor.
    if the messages are stuck, you should see an entry indicating number of messages stuck in the queue.
    a double click on the entry shall take you to detailed list.
    if the messages are stuck because of any error (other than queue not registered etc for e.g. a message failure) then the first message shall show you that.
    if indeed you find a message stuck in the queue then the way is to delete the stuck message (DONT DO THIS IN PRODUCTION SERVER without being sure of what does this mean for that particular process !!) and unlock the queue from previous screen.
    5)Go to smq2 and execute F8. Then it should come as Nothing was Selected.
    If any queues are present then open a queue.if the status is SYS ERROR check the entries,right click on the status text and give save LUW.This brings queue to READY. .
    GoTo-> Qin Scheduler: check for the scheduler status to be inactive->Edit-> Activate Scheduler: status frm inactive to starting to wait.Now the queue will be RUNNING.U can see the entries in the queue moving.
    Now go to SMQ3, right click on the queue and give Restore LUW.
    6)this basically means tht message is waiting in the queue.
    in sxmb_moni go to queue Id column and double click on the entry .It will take u to SMQ2.Check the status of the queue
    If its SYSFAIL or STOP then double click on it and try to correct the error.After correcting the error send the message again.Also check whether the Queeu is Registred in transaction SMQR.
    7)Select your queue form the sxmb_moni, you will reacht he QRFC monitor.
    Here you will see some lock figures on the , Select on the 'Unlock Queues'. Activate your queues once again.
    This is if your data is correct and queue is stuck. You should only delete the queue if it has errored out due to incorrect data and you need to urgenetly process the rest of the data in the queue.
    If you drill down one step more than selct the error message and on the menu select edit-->Save LUW.

      Is it possible to lock the BPS planning obj in QA or PRD system? We chnage the client setting in SCC4 with no change allowed. But, user can still change or create planning objects in the BPS0. Is any way to lock that?

    You would have to develop specialized role / profile that controls the different planning objects: i.e. transactions, Planning area, planning level, planning functions, etc. 
    We had used a whitepaper or OSS notes in addition to looking at the profile/role for SEM_ALL to start locking down on things...  Might post more when I find my notes.

    I could enter enter and save planning figures in campaign and marketing plan. But I don't get anything after clicking on Budgeting tab in MP. Is there any authorization object which needs to be added in user role?

    Hi Nikhil,
    If I understood your issue correctly, after you click on 'Budgeting' button on marketing plan, system does not display the top-down budgeting. If this is the case, there is a customizing entry which has to be maintained in  the navigation bar profile . I believe the entry is found in define OP mapping. please compare your navigation bar profile with standard one of business role MARKETINGPRO.

  • Additional Date range in Marketing Plan/Campaign

    I am working CRM 7.0 webui, i know in SPRO under Marketing we have option to define additional date range for marketing project, i have added the some date fields in Marketing Plan and Campaign but still i am not able to see the additional date range in Marketing Plan or Campaign in webui, please tell if there are any additional configuration needs to be done for this.

    Hi Dipesh,
    For every additional date range you define, you will have to define a context objects of type CPGDateRange and relate it to campaign. SAP has already provided 5 such addtional context objects from Daterange1 to Daterange5. To get these on web ui, you will have to do UI customization and implement getter and setter methods of the attributes for star date and end date.

    User with a campaign manager role can be restricted for changing marketing plan using authorization group.
    We define authorization groups for use in the Marketing Planner. Authorization groups can be maintained at both marketing plan level and campaign or trade promotion level. Authorization groups enable us to control which users are authorized to change which of these two types of marketing project. We could, for example, define one authorization group to be assigned to a marketing plan, then define further authorization groups to be assigned to the different campaigns within the marketing plan. In the Marketing Planne.
    Follow below steps
    1. Define authorization group using following IMG Path
    Customer Relationship Management / Marketing / General Settings / Define Authorization Group.
    2. In authorization object CRM_CPGAGR of the role Campaign manager maiantian activity 01, 02, 03 ,06 (this will allow user to create, change, display and delete)
    3. IMG defined authorization group ex: ABC can be seen under the tabstrip Basic Data of marketing plan.
    4. Now user have to choose the Authorization group ABC from the drop down in Basic tab to create a marketing plan. User will get the change access for all the marketing plan which have the authorization object ABC.

  • Marketing Plans & Campaigns

    I am a BW developer and have a project to work with CRM to build the Marketing Plans & Campaigns.  I have some experience with BPS, so I think I can work with this piece of it also.  However, the first problem I am having is when I go thru the following in CRM:
    SPRO->Marketing Planning and Campaign Management->Key Figure Planning
    The problem I have from this point is when trying to go into Planning Workbench or Define Key Figures. 
    When I try Planning Workbench, I get an error "Access via NULL object reference not possible." 
    When I try Define Key Figures, I get "You are not authorized to use Transaction UMK_MB"
    When I do an SU53 for both of these, it shows all authorization checks were successful.  So I am thinking there may be a problem with the BW to CRM connection.  However, we have another CRM project that I am not having any problem with.
    My next question is how does BPS play into the Marketing Campaigns?  I thought all the planning happens in CRM, so why can't I just pull the results into the BW InfoCube, instead of going thru BPS.
    Any info about anything to do with this, would be greatly appreciated.

    Also please check if you have made the below customizing in CRM for BI :
    BI Update flag: Marketing --> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management --> System Landscape --> Activate BI Update.
    RFC Connection to BI: RFC connection to the BI system in Customizing by choosing Marketing
    -> Marketing Planning and Campaign Management --> System Landscape --> Define RFC Connection
    Also please make sure that user assigned to the system is a dialog user and the user has the required planning authorizations.

    to achieve this, you need to implement the BPS in BW, and make the BPS and CRM integration.
    In standard, CRM Marketing is integrated with BPS,  you can login the CRM and open the BPS windows in Marketing object screen, fill your cost plan or trade plan or sale plan.
    For WBS elment, you need to activate the configuration in PS mode and middleware between CRM and ERP.
    If you don't need to use PS, maybe you can use Claim in CRM to manage the expense and cost in campaign.
