Object navigator - Search field missing

Hello,
in the transaction se80 (Object Navigator), I used to have a search field  in the repository browser to search for programs etc.  But for some reasons this field is missing, there is just a white field which does not allow me to enter anything.
Can anybody help me out?
Thanks,
Anne

Hi Anne,
This problem is because of GUI patch issue.
Try to upgrade your SAP GUI to 7.0.. Or install new patches if you are using GUI 6.0 versions.
This problem would definitely resolved if you upgrade to SAP GUI 7.0.
Thanks,

  • Search field missing

The search field is missing on Itunes on my Mac Book Pro. How do I get it back?

There is no setting for this.
Try a reset which is similar to a computer restart and is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release.

  • Google search field - missing "red arrow"

    Hi,
not sure why but my "red arrow" in the Google search field has disappeared.
You know, the arrow which appeared after you clicked a search result allowing you to return to the latest search you have done...
Any ideas how to get it back?

I am not able to locate the search option in Notes on my iPad. where did it go? Thanks

  • How to disable placeholder text in the URL and search fields of the navigation bar?

Everytime I open a new tab (frequently, home page is set to blank) I have to look at "Go to a Website" in the navigation bar. The search field shows the name of the currently active search engine until text is inputed. All I want is to be able to do is disable the placeholder text, showing both fields as blank.

Thank you. Worked fine. For anyone who comes across this in the future, change "graytext" to "transparent" to hide the placeholder all the time. As is above, the placeholder shows when the mouse points at the box.

  • Missing keystrokes/characters in search field

Note: Others have encountered this same problem in the distant path. Wondering if anyone else has lately?
I began to notice that more than a few attempts to enter search terms in the upper right search field resulted in a missing character somewhere in the search string and consequently a borked search a week or two ago. (cannot link it to any changed add-on or silent Firefox update but it's always possible)
Not happening every time but Is occurring far too often to be my speedy typing fingers. Even occurs when I slow down to hunt and peck but not as often, suggesting maybe a buffering glitch. Kinda hard to estimate typing speed in milliseconds.
I would prefer not getting the classic "reset Firefox" non-solution (i.e., "nuke all your settings by throwing the kitchen sink at it")
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this irritating anomaly and if an actual solution exists.
Something I'd like to see (and it may already be hiding in plain sight?) is the DATE (various add-ons) were installed on my Firefox as opposed to the Last Updated Date of the add-on itself.
Another - on the https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/plugincheck/ page, since the individual "RESEARCH" buttons for STATUS UNKNOWN software leads to a Google search results page that will lead to umpteen other pages, it should open in a BLANK window/tab instead of overwriting the list of items we want to check! It's ludicrous to have to remember to click back arrow each time when one's instinct is to close the final windows... and find you've lost your place on the plug in check page!!
    Thanks!

Here we are, nearly 6 months later, 6 others claim to have the same problem, and still no solution. The second or third character typed on the keyboard is the one that's usually dropped, suggesting that there's some sort of lag created by the software interface or buffer. (I'm not a techie, this is speculation)
FF's Rube Goldberg philosophy of software construction - right hand doesn't know what the left hand's doing (people invest time creating plug-ins only to have the backbone broken by an "upgraded"/degraded version) - and "repairs" (the standard "solution" being either to remove all your plug ins and try the near infinite number of combinations OR the scortched earth policy of resetting FF and hoping that does the trick) is getting mighty tiresome.

  • Multiscreen HTML 5  output  in Chrome – when scrolling down very long topics in the content pane the navigation area 'moves up' , i.e cant see search field or TOC.

    Hi,
Multiscreen HTML 5  output  in Chrome – when scrolling down very long topics in the content pane the navigation area 'moves up' , i.e cant see search field or TOC.
    thanks
    Anat

This is by design. If you want to change this, the content section must have a set height and scroll. Which layout are you using? -- Check out the Responsive layouts and the Social layout. I believe those have the more traditional TOC placement.

  • Missing Search Field when using 3.1 Create App Wizard ?

    Hi
    2 points which look like bugs to me;
1 - In all previous versions whenever I used the create app wizard to build up a list of pages, reports always included the 'search across any varchar field' funtionality. This seems to have disappeared when using the Classic form of reports. It is obviously there if you use an Interactive report.
2 - Again when using the Create App wizard, if I use the Classic form (in order to be able to also 'Generate Analysis Pages') these do get built, but not linked in any way (tab, list region, button etc) to any other pages. I can link them myself, but I am demonstrating APEX here and it doesn't look so good....
Can someone just quickly confirm I am not going mad here ?
    Jules

    Hi Jules,
You're not going mad! I've reviewed the behaviour of the Search field and the Analysis Pages link using releases 3.0.1 and 3.1.1, and there is a difference in behaviour between the two versions.
Classic Reports generated via the Create Application Wizard in 3.1.1 should have a Search text field above the report region, however this field is missing. I've logged bug 7185486 for this issue. Classic Report&Forms generated via the Create Application Wizard, with the "Include Analysis Pages" option selected, are missing a link to the Analysis pages in 3.1.1. I've logged bug 7185486 for this issue. I've updated both bugs with a workaround. A fix for these issues will be available in a future release. Thanks for bringing these two issues to our attention.

  • CSS or JS Navigation Bar with inline Styled Search Field

Does anyone know of a good tutorial on how to create a CSS or
JS navigation bar that would contain a matching styled search field
    box?
I have tried creating something like this a couple of times
using the old JS Navigation Bar wizard in DW, but can't get the
results I need. I can never seem to add a column that would include
a search box and have it look right and inline with the rest of the
    navigation.
For reference, I am trying to do a nav that is somewhat
similiar to Apple's Nav bar, where the search field is styled to
match the rest of the Nav and inline with the rest of the buttons.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks.

You don't need to use PMM. You can set your menu container to
    position:
relative and then absolutely position the search box inside.

  • Mail search field is missing - how to get it back?

My Mail search field in upper right went missing. Anyone know how to get it back?

    Hi Pacodog,
In Mail goto "View" then "Customise Toolbar" from there drag the search bar back to your toolbar.

  • Search field in iPad's iTunes is missing

    Hi,
Something odd, but after updating the iPad to latest version of 5.1.1 now for some odd reason I cannot seem to find the search field in the iTunes music and video store, though I do have other buttons etc. (I'm a US resident).
Any 1 else also have/had this anomaly in their iPads?
    Thanks ppl.
    Augi "Snowman"

I'm guessing you mean in Safari. There is now a unified search/URL bar. Just type your search term in the same place you type your URL.
    Best of luck.

  • I don't have my search field anymore, only the url field. I know I can seach in it, but I want my separate search field back. How do I do that?

Not sure when it happened and I am sure it is just a setting or something, but I can't find where I get the search field back. I see it when I open the customize the tool bar, but it disappears when I close it. I want to search from Google and the URL search bar does not give me that option, only Google Maps & places.
How do I get back that separate search field?
    Thanks.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Navigation Toolbar" and the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible: "View > Toolbars"
    * If items are missing then open the Customize window via "View > Toolbars > Customize" or via "Firefox > Options > Toolbar Layout"
    * If a missing item is in the toolbar palette then drag it back from the Customize window on the toolbar
    * If you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the toolbar palette then click the "Restore Default Set" button to restore the default toolbar set up.

  • Blog Search Field

    Greetings all,
I was wondering if there was a way to have the search field only display on the archive screen of the blog page? It seems like you only have two options with this feature On (displays on the main Blog page as well as Archive page) and Off (no search). Am I missing something? I know that I can manually remove the one that I don't want via editing the .html file but is there a way to do this through iWeb?
I will have to manually edit this every time I publish to .Mac right (if my only option is editing the .html file)?
Thank you for your time and efforts.

You are right, there is no way to eliminate the search field on either the Main blog page or the archive...without removing both.
But try this workaround. If you don't want the search field to "appear" on your main blog page (or vice versa) select it and move it to somewhere inconspicuous on your page. Then create a shape object about the same size as the search field and make it the same color as the background of your page (with the color fill tool in the Inspector Shape tab). Then move this shape object and cover the search field right up so that it looks like it has disappeared from the page!
Maybe this will keep you from having to edit any HTML?

  • Inserting a Search Field

Hi, I want to include a Search Field and Function in my
website and I wonder what is the best method for achieving this? Is
the DW extension Zoom a good idea? (
    http://www.projectseven.com/tutorials/accessibility/zoomlearn/index.htm)
    Many thanks, Simon

    Hello
When searching for a feature, the templates are certainly not the best objects to study.
It would be more efficient to search in the help or in the PDF User's Guide.
In a Spreadsheet, there are no fields but cells.
In the User's Guide, the cells formats are described from page 56 thru page 63.
If I read well nothing resemble to what you describe but it would be safe to read these pages by yourself, maybe I missed something.

  • Fields missing in Infoset.

I have an infoset that contains 3 master data objects.  Some of the attribute fields do not show up in the infoset.  Does anyone know why some fields show up and other do not?
    Thank you
    Aaron

    Hi Oscar,
The field missing is not set to attribute only.  I checked other fields that do show up in the infoset and they are not marked as attribute only.  Any other ideas?
    Thanks
