Object RL_LUBU in SARA

Hi Folks,
we are archiving the material.
Error : WM stock transfer (from/to material) exists
Diagnosis : Entries in Table LUBU (Posting Change Document)
Solution : Use the archiving object RL_LUBU in SARA.
Queries :
1) This Object does not give material nos to choose. Entire table is selected. How to come over this ?
2) Can there be any possible reasons for this error ?

you are right, this is one object that has only the warehouse number as selection criteria. So you cannot archive individual documents. you can only archive all documents older than x days for a warehouse together .
Was this transfer posting from this or last year, or older?
I am just asking because you might just remove one error in material master archiving with archiving of LUBU (which is really an easy task, straigt forward, and usually you will not see any problem in archiving. This runs for me since many years scheduled automatically once in a month, and I never had any problem).
if your transfer posting was in this or previous year, then I assume that you had as well inventory for this material. SAP will not let you archive the material if you had inventory in this or previous year, even you had taken care about all depending objects.

Hello,
Usually PCNs will created automatically by the system, when you do a stock category change.
First you try to process the PCN using LT05 , if it is giving any error , go to LU02 and enter you PCN number and change the status to Processesed(U). Before doing this make sure to check the IM & WM stocks and close the PCN.

Archive MM_ACCTIT object issue

Hi,
we are planning to do archiving in ERP systems. initially i have gone through the documentation and done for one archiving object MM_ACCTIT using SARA transaction in the following ways.
1. created archive files with WRITE button
2. deleted archive files with DELETE button
3. Then finally i can not able to read the archive with READ button. Here READ button is not displayed in SARA transaction.
please help me on the above issue and give me some references. Is there any thing i missed out in the configuration.

Hello Ramesh,
SAP does not supply a "read" program for all archive objects. MM_ACCTIT is one of those where the Read button is not displayed. If you need to view this information, you need to use an archive information structure (transaction SARI).

FB99 check archiving status - Withholding tax life (455 days) not reached

Hi to all,
We are in process of archiving SAP data.
Requirement: There are 2 company codes in one production client and we want both company codes to be separated as independent clients. So we are archiving one of the company codes in existing client.
Since we want separate clients & require only one company code data in each client, we want to archive all the documents as on date.
I am archiving FI documents through Archiving Object FI_DOCUMNT in SARA transaction. Before archiving we have to clear all open items for the FI documents, for that am checking document archiving status through FB99.I am getting following message for one of the line item
u2018Withholding tax life (455 days) not reached u201C.
I have set document life (OBR8) and account type life (OBR7) form 9999 to 1 day.

Hi Govind,
The document life and acount type life is not the same as the withholding tax life. The witholding tax life is country-specific and cannot be overridden. I do not believe there is a way around this.

XI Message Archiving Problem

Hi,
I was trying to schedule XML Message Archiving Job in XI 3.0 SP16.
As per schedule procedure, I have defined interfaces for archiving and retention period for the same. Also I have configured the archive object BC_XMB in SARA and activated archive infrastructure SAP_BC_XMB in SARI.
I have scheduled the job SXMB_ADMIN, and the job ran without any error. When I checked the job log of ARV_BC_XMB_WRI<timestamp>, it says "0 XML Messages Archived" and I am unable to see the archive file in the target location.
I have also run the report as per note 872388, i.e. RSXMB_SHOW_REORG_STATUS and it shows "Msgs not in retention period (can be archived): 2,030".
Can anybody help me, how can I solve this problem, so that I can archive the XML Messages.

Require link to download PDK for EP 7.0?

I am ABAPer and already did ABAP WebDynpro in ECC6 environemnt. But now i am planing to do some java related test developments in ECC5 environment. So requires link to download *SAP Enterprise Development Kit (PDK) or SAP NetWeaver Development Studio*. Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. Your given path is accurate. But when i try to download NetWeaver Studio by using SAP download manager. Its giving me following error "The request failed: 400". It gives error when download manager try to process object JIDE16_0-10003480.SAR (Connecting to smpdla.sap.com).
I try to access site www.smpdla.sap.com separatelly just to check and it throws me following error:
Access Denied
You don't have permission to access "http://smpdla.sap.com/" on this server.

PP_ORDER - Duplicate entries in archive file

Hello Experts,
I am using the archiving object PP_ORDER in SARA. However, after executing 'write' , when I check in txn AS_AFB, under PP_ORDER, I can see that multiple archive files are created under the same run.
Eg: 000182-001PP_ORDER , 000182-002PP_ORDER, 000182-003PP_ORDER etc.
Now, the problem is , in the files 000182-001PP_ORDER and 000182-002PP_ORDER, I could see that similar entries exist.
What causes such an inconsistancy? Why is the same entry being written to multiple archive files in the same run?
In the customizing settings for the object PP_ORDER, I have maintained the maximum size in MB to be 40 MB -> this is why multiple files are created in the same run.
Can any of you please throw some light on this at the earliest?

Archive File Browser using transaction AS_AFB.
The Archive File Browser is used to display the content of archive files. Note that this is purely a technical display.There is no business formatting.
Please note Info structures SAP_PP_ORDER001 and SAP_PR_ORDER001 delivered by SAP do not support duplicate index entries.
If you want to have multiple entries in the index, you must change the 'File in index' indicator from D to K in the field catalog of the info structure (Transaction SARI -> Customizing -> Environment -> Field catalogs). The name of the archive file then also belongs to the key and you can generate index entries for the same order in different archive files. You have to create an info structure with this field catalog to activate this change. That is, you must delete the old info structure and recreate and activate it using the modified field catalog. Remember that the system deletes the complete index table when you do this. You must rebuild the index table for the modified info structure by re-indexing the old archives.
You must use Note 387505 to use the archive information system with archiving object PR_ORDER.

Archiving equipment in PM Module

Can any of u help. actually i need to archive these eqipment
can u tell me Tcodes and steps to be followed. to do so

We want to archive the Equipment- 12011792
and usage check saying that this equipment has the measurement point and also superior Equip.
That is why archiving not possible for that equipments.

Have you set a deletion flag to the equipment 12011792/12011793?
After applying the deletion flag, you can archive the equipments using the Archiving Object PM_EQUI (Tcode: SARA).
(As per the message 'Usage Found', try archiving the equipment 12011793 before archiving 12011792... use test runs)
But firstly check for dependencies for the equipments in the network graphic.
Also note that once you have archived the equipment, you will not be able to reload it back into the database.

Deleting an IDOC

Delete/Remove of IDocs from R3
Created change pointers related to message types like MATMAS and LOIBOM by keeping specific conditions (running a background job). so server created lakhs of Idocs. Due to this sever is running very very slow.
Is there any facility to delete/remove Idocs from SAP R/3. If yes what is is next step. Now what should I do.
Take a look at running report RBDCPCLR from SE38 in the backgorund. You will probably have to up a varient we run the report weekely and keep the last 6 weeks of data. You will be removing from table BDCPS take a look and it will all make sense.
Report RBDCPCLR selection screen is for deleting change pointers. My question is deleting IDocs which are created by Change Pointers. Please guide me to next step. What should I do......

"There is no special deletion program for IDocs.
Use the archiving programs. IDoc is a separate archiving class. The following programs are available:
1. Archive RSEXARCA and RSEXARCB (as of Release 3.0C)
2. Delete RSEXARCD
3. Read archiveRSEXARCR
4. Restore RSEXARCL
The Idoc archiving is checked against the status. The statuses which can be archived and those that cannot be archived are stored in the "Status maintenance" table. You can change the standard settings. Menu path:
Area menu "WEDI", control, status maintenance.
The archiving procedure is described in the documentation 'IDoc interface for EDI'."
I tried as like you said, first tried with RSEXARCA (Archived) then deleted from SAP R/3 RSEXARCD(Deleted from R/3) I tried this for few IDocs and it worked fine.
but after tried for more no of IDocs(20000). then given like 'last create archive file without data objects was deleted' for report RSEXARCA. and not showed any thing for report RSEXARCD.
I am not that familiar with the transaction but it may be possible to break down the IDOCS in to batches of 5000 and run these in the background ??
Have you checked the customizing for object 'IDOC' - I mean not only in transaction SARA but also the application-related customizing. There might be a parameter, defining the minimun-duration time of idocs ... unfortunately I don't remember the transaction ...
Archiving IDOCs for WM system
I use program RSEXARCA to archive the IDOCs that do not required posting. I wanted to permanently delete those from system; but donu2019t see the archive file in SARA.
In the 46C there is object IDOC.
I regularly run program RSEXARCA in SE38. And archive IDOCs that do not require postings anymore.
Documentation of this program in SE38 does not talk about archiving & deleting, I'd believe that it is creating an archive file that I should be able to permanently delete from the system. In transaction SARA for object IDOC, I do not see any files for me to delete.
I also regulary delete IDOC, but I use RSEXARCB in the background job.
Since you mentioned 'delete' I assume that both programs RSEXARCA and RSEXARCB Archive & Delete at the same time.
Please use Object Idoc from SARA. If you use this it will write file using program RSEXARCA and delets using RSEXARCD.

Archiving Projects

Dear Experts,
There is a requirement to archive projects. Self have done the below steps, but project did not get archived. Kindly help me.
1) Self have set the status of the project to DLFL.
2) In SARA transaction for PS_Project, i have created the variant. That is in technical Settings of Archiving Object Specific Customizing, i have mapped the variant.
3) In CN80 transaction, i have maintained the same variant with the project which is set to DLFL status and also maintianed the Start date as immediate and executed the scheduler.
4) The scheduler was run successfully, but still the project did not get archived. I am able to see the project when i check "Data From database" in retreival.
Kinldy help me and also suggest if i have done anything wrong.

Hi Visvesh,
Please follow the actions for archiving object PS_PROJECT in SARA to archive the project step by step:
1) Preproc: Set DLFL and DLT status on the project. After this step, you should better goto the project in CJ20N to confirm if the status is set correctly, if not you need to goto the job spool list to check why the status can't be updated correctly.
2) Write: Choose the project you need to write the archive file to archive that project.
3) Delete: Choose the write session to delete the project that has already archived.

Fast growing tablespaces

Hi Experts,
The following tablespaces are consuming max free space.
PSAPBTABD : 50% of the total space aquired 77.5 GB
PSAPBTABI : 38.5 GB
PSAPCLUD : 15 GB
85 % of total space is consumed by these tablespaces.
Tables with max growth of increasing are :
BSIS, RFBLG, ACCTIT, ACCTCR, MSEG, RSEG   etc.
Average increase of 2GB space per month.
Kindly help me to find out the solution.

Greetings!
I am not sure whether you are a BASIS or Functional guy but, if you are BASIS then you can discuss with your functional team on selecting the archiving objects inline with your project. Normally, func consultants will have the knowledge of which archive object will delete entries from which tables... You can also search help.sap.com for identifying the archiving objects.
Once you identified the archiving objects, you need to discuss with your business heads and key users about your archiving plan. This is to fix the data retention period in the production system and to fix the archiving cycle for every year.
Once these been fixed, you can sit along with func guys to create varients for the identified archiving objects. Use SARA and archivie the concerned objects.
Initiating a archiving project is a time consuming task. It is better to start a seperate mini project to kick off the initial archiving plan. You can test the entire archiving phase in QA system by copying the PRD client.
The below summary will give you a idea to start the archiving project,
1. Identify the tables which grow rapidly and its module.
2. Identify the relevent archiving object which will delete the entries in rapidly growing table.
3. Prepare a archive server to store the archived data ( Get 3rd party archiving solution if possible). Remeber, the old data should be reterived from the archive server when ever the business needs it.
4. Finalise the archving cycle inline with your business need.
5.Archvie the objects using SARA.
6.Reorganize the DB after archiving.
Hope this will give some idea on archiving project.

Reading classification data of batchs from archiv files (MM75)

Hi,
At performance of archiving and deleted batch (object MM_SPSTOCK in SARA, Release 4.7), which have classification assignments (class type 022) there was a following situation: all batches in run with same material, have in index table for selection from archiv same offset, and at review of data of classification in transaction MM75 batch classification, charact values of classification are collected in one general list from all values batches on the same material in run. Besides, at viewing of a key of object of party on the screen classification in transaction MM75 (MATNR, WERKS, CHARG) it is visible incomplete batch number (3 signs from 10) only. Please support as to solve the given problem - it is required to have possibility of reading from archiv file data for separate required batch, and in this case in archive the information has mixed up for all batches with an same material.

To check to see if the archive file is actually available, go to the Management data of the archive object (from transaction SARA), expand the archive session to see the file(s), double click on the file and look at the Archive Administration: Archive File Detail information. Check at the bottom of the pop-up box and you should be able to see the File Name, the Logicial Path and the Physical File Name.

Object for Maintenence orders is PM_ORDER and for notifications is PM_QMEL.
You need to maintain proper customization and residence times before archiving. Also you need to archive the dependent objects before archiving maintenance orders and notifications. You can view the dependent objects for a particular object in tcode SARA ->network graphic
