Object system and its method genericinstantiate?????????????

Hi Experts,
I have a workflow, in this workflow header tab there is no triggering event is mentioned .
no business object no triggering event .
when i checked the workflow the first task is created by business Object system and its method genericinstantiate.
now i am not able to understand what is the role of BO system and this method.
Also i am not able to understand how this workflow is getting triggered is this method is helping this workflow to get triggered.

If you are not able to trace from where this event is getting triggered, the simple way to find how the task is receving the event is
1.Switch on the event trace by using the txn SWELS.
2. Trigger the workflow by using the same event either from SWUE txn or directly stsrting the process which raises this event.
3. Onc the event is triggered , go to SWEL txn and check what are the workflow templates and tasks are receiving the event which you have triggered.

Go to the Windows Control Panel and select Boot Camp applet. In that applet there is a Boot Drive option. Select Mac OS X.
Or restart the system and hold down the Option key for a few second. A Boot Menu screen will come up. Select Macintosh HD.
Once in OS X go to the Sys Prefences, Startup Disk and select Macintosh HD Mt Lion 10.8.2 and click Restart then Restart again. the system will now restart in Mac OS X.
To boot back to Windows do the same, Startup Disk, and select Windows then Restart and Restart again.

Trying to restore system and its not responding.

Last night I went and tried to reformat my mac to its original settings, I erased the cd and turned it off and restarted my mac with the os cd in the drive, I have been trying to hold the "C" button but I get to the utilities and to be hones ...I get lost, I don't know where to go from there, my system is not responding, it is not allowing me to reinstall the os and I kind of hit a wall, I don't know what else to make, I am new at the whole Mac thing. any help?

If you can't reinstall using the disc that came with the computer, and given the window that you mentioned, it sounds like you have Lion. Take a picture with your phone or camera and post what you see if you want us to confirm.
If it is Lion that is installed, you will want to click on Disk Utility and then select "continue."
Run Repair Disk by selecting the Mac HD on the left and click "Repair Disk" on the bottom right (not "Repair Disk Permissions").
If there is no Mac HD, then you may simply need to create a new partition in the partitions tab.
If the Mac HD is there but Repair Disk either doesn't find any issues or it fixes directory issues but not the kernel panic, then you will need to use the Reinstall Mac OS X method.
If the Mac HD fails Repair Disk, then you will have to do an erase/install (data will be lost; may want to seek 3rd party data recovery services prior to this step):
1. Select the Mac HD on the left
2. Select the Erase tab up above
3. Select Mac OS Extended Journaled for the format
4. Provide a title for the new volume, such as Mac HD
5. Select the Erase button below
6. Quit Disk Utility upon successful erase
7. Run Reinstall Mac OS X Lion to install Lion on the new Mac HD
If you haven't yet purchased Lion yourself, the reinstalls won't work. You will need the discs that came with the computer to do an erase/install.
We can provide more information, accurate steps, with more information from you:
1. What OS is actually installed?
2. If Lion, how did you obtain it?
3. If not Lion, do you have the install discs that came with the computer or the retail DVD that you used to upgrade the computer?
4. Is any third party RAM installed?

We are using Business Package ESS SP6 with EHP4.
My question is which type of Applications are used in this EHP4. (ie., BSP or ABAPwebdynpro or JavaWebDynPro )
If the application types are of JAVA WEBDYNPRO how should we assign the WAS and ITS parameters for SystemObjects like

BC4J Entity object validation and JSP

Hi, I've been trying to implement BC4J best practices as per a previous thread with Steven Muench.
I've placed all my business logic/validation in the entity object create and validateEntity methods. This works perfectly in the tester utility.
In a JSP page the first time around the error raised also gets displayed properly prompting the user to go back and fix his data entry. The problem is that the error keeps reappearing even after the data has been fixed.
We use web beans to perform the save using standard create/setAttribute/InsertRow/commit logic.
The whole setup works perfectly in JSP if there are no errors in the data.
Any pointers or ideas?

I've came across a scenario /people/siva.maranani/blog/2005/05/25/understanding-message-flow-in-xi which explains "message flow in XI".
Q1. my question is under "RETURN JOURNEY" section in Point 1. the author is saying "So the XI Integration server will send the message to the messaging system of the Adapter Engine (AE)" i want to know what is message system and its purpose? will it store converted messages.
Q2. wht does an XI Adapter do and wht is the purpose of using it?

Here Messaging System means evevry Processed message Should get through into Messaging System of AE before Delivering to Target Application.
In Messaging System we can see the delivered Messages and to be deliver messages.
If the channel is inactive , it will error out in Integration Engine itself, so u can restart those messages manually.
Also, lets say the receiver system is not reachable(example JDBC), then what happens? You can find those messages in
http://host:port/MessagingSystem/monitor/monitor.jsp . In the window left frame choose Received Messages , in the right frame choose Status Not Delivered. Change the time frame and click tab(there is no enter) , u can find list of messages. Now for each message u can find two options Delete, Re-Deliver ,click on Re-Deliver the message, it will go thru.
Q2. wht does an XI Adapter do and wht is the purpose of using it?
Here if u observe first message pick up by Sender CC get through AE. Then the converted XML message will be delivered to IE for further process
Here we use XI Adapter to Communicate IE with IS internally.

Purpose
You use the Adapter Engine to connect the Integration Engine to SAP systems (RFC adapter) and external systems. You use the various adapters in the Adapter Engine to convert XML- and HTTP-based messages to the specific protocol and format required by these systems, and the other way around.

Purpose
You configure the XI adapter to exchange messages with an Integration Engine. Both XI 3.0 and XI 2.0 message protocols are supported. You also use the XI adapter to exchange messages between SAP Exchange Infrastructure and the Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK).
You can use security settings to sign messages and check the signature. You can encrypt and decrypt message payloads.

·        To receive XML messages from a sender system, configure the sender XI adapter.
If messages are sent from the Integration Server to the PCK, you must create a sender XI adapter in the PCK.
·        To send XML messages to a receiver system, configure the receiver XI adapter.

XI Adapter in the Integration Server

   XI adapter sends the data through XI protocol which works on HTTP and XML.
So, security for XI adapter means
1) HTTPS(Communication channel security)
2) Message Level Security( You can send messages further in encrypted form)
The communication via web service may have advantages, if you want communicate with non XI systems.
In your scenario, there is direct communication between XI engines, so you can go for XI adapter. The XI adapter which is normally used to configure the exchange of messages with in an Integration Server, canbe extended to exchange messages between the two Integration Servers in the scenario.
Please verify if if you have the common SLD for both XI systems. its preferable to go for seperate SLDs

btw,we can do kind of data encryption in the mapping with java classes and you can pass the value.. but it is just a data level or message level

Pass object to xslt stylesheet and invoke its methods

I'd like to pass an external created object to a xslt stylesheet to dynamically modify the xslt file at run time. After searching around for weeks, I'm really desperate.
I used Xalan transformer's method setParameter(name, obj) to initialize a variable in xslt file with this object. Then the object's method was invoked.
The class that I want to invoke the method:

The problem is for all the info I knew, we can only
create a new object inside the stylesheet using new()
and then invoke this particular object's instance
method.
However, I want to pass an already created java
object into the stylesheet and then invoke its

Xalan seems to not allow this. I have tried to pass
an object as the parameter of
transformer.setParameter(name, object) but it doesn't
work.
Any one know what 3rd party transformer that allow to
pass object directly into xslt?setParameter will work... in your XSL, you should have

In your XSL header, you must declare the your Java object namespace and path, such as:

Can we add an info object and its nav. attr in an aggregate together?

I am getting an error when I try to add 0MATERIAL and 0MATERIAL_OPROD_HIER in an aggregate at the same time. In the cube, both 0MATERIAL and its attr 0MATERIAL_0PROD_HIER sit in the same dimension. Therefore, when I try to create an aggregate and drag these chars in, they try to come into the same dimension here also.
1st scenario:
1. I add 0MATERIAL in the aggregate.
2. I try to add 0MATERIAL_0PROD_HIER in the aggreate, I get an error message ' Aggregation levels cannot be defined for 0MATERIAL_0PROD_HIER.
3. And it does not let me add this nav attr at all.
2nd scenario:
1. I first add 0MATERIAL_0PROD_HIER in the aggregate.
2. I try to add 0MATERIAL now.. I get the same error as above for 0MATERIAL this time.
3. But it lets me add 0MATERIAL inside.
4. Now, when I go its context menu (right click) and select aggregation as 'All Char Values' for 0MATERIAL, then the error goes away.
5. But after I activate and fill the aggregate, I have a look it again.. and now I only see 0MATERIAL and its nav attr which I added first has disappeared.
Why do the above 2 happen? And if I have an info object and its nav attr in ROWS in a query, and if I am not able to add both of them to the aggregate.. how can I improve the performance of the query?

Hi Srinivas
In your scenario, it is sufficient if you just add 0Material when you are creating the aggregate. Need not add the nvaigational attribute in the aggregate definition. The procedure you followed the first time is right i.e. Drag and drop 0material first.
The system does not allow you to add the nav attribute because it is not required. I say this because a navigational attribute added to your infoprovider is like (in terms of SQL) joining your infoprovider with your material master table. Navigational attribute's value is not physically stored in your cube. It is brought in during execution time in both list cube as well as in your query output.
Similarly when you execute your query with 0material as your aggregate, even if you add a filter or variable restriction on 0Material_prodHier your query WILL use the aggregate since 0material is referenced.
You can even check this in RSRT. Give your query name, and generate report first. Then click on Execute + Debug, Choose Display SQL/BIA Query and enter your selection and choose enter. You will see the SQL of your query and in the SQL select statement you will see that your aggregate table is chosen instead of your infocube. This aggregate table only will be read during your query execution in Bex as well.

Changing Original System and Transport Target System for Objects

Hi Gurus,
I need to do mass transport of all the Infoobjects to newly defined system. Since these objects have different Original system. Its giving me error. Again, for other objects, Transport Target system is QAS, But we want to change it to NBW (A new system to which we want to send transport) . I am able to change package of Infoobjects. Is there mechanism to change Original System and Transport Target for System? Please let me know ASAP.

Deleting a Business System and related/assigned objects

I am PI newbie (as will soon become apparent) so first I apologise for my “simple” question.
In PI one business system has been replaced with another e.g. BS_US_1CLNT is replaced by BS_US_2CLNT. I want to delete the first business system and all its related components and links without breaking anything, preferably.
What is the best way to do this? I assume I go to the interface builder, select Object View, then select BS_US_1CLNT and open the object list. The object list consists only of communication channels so I can right click on each CC and delete? But what if these have been assigned already to Configuration Scenarios? Are there other objects/assignments I should take care of or check? Is this the right way to go about this i.e. simply right click on each CC under the BS_US_1CLNT tree and then delete?
Please help me with the steps I should take to proceed with this, and any objects etc. I should take care of.

Hi Glen,
It is not easy just to delete all the objects pointing to a certain business system, but the way to delete would be communication channels first and then the business system would be last.
When deleting a communication channel, you can see where it is used by right-clicking on it and then select the Where-Used List option. It will list the objects that uses that communication channel, namely receiver agreement (for receiver) and sender agreement (for sender).
Once you have re-created the receiver/sender agreements to use the new business system, it should now be safe to delete the channels and the sender/receiver agreements. You should also do the same with the business system, right-click it and select Where-Used List. You also need to re-create the objects that uses that business system e.g receiver det, interface det, receiver agreement (if not yet deleted), sender agreement.
Do not worry about being a newbie, everyone of us started as one

Comparing dynamic fields of objects using equals and hashCode methods

To compare the different objects of the same class with their contents like jobTitleId, classificationId, deptId & classificationId was to be done and do some manipulations later using Set and Map. I was able to do that by simply overriding the equals and hashCode methods of Object class and was able to fetch the information (like in the following Map).

The following is the class I used (its been shown to you so that it can be referred for my problem statement):

Problem:
I'm already known to which all fields of this object I need to make the comparison.
i.e I'm bound to use the variables named classificationId, deptId, jobTitleId & locId etc.
Need:
I need to customize this logic such that the fields Names (classificationId, deptId, jobTitleId & locId etc) can be pulled dynamically along with their values. So, as far as my understanding I made use of 2 classes (TableClass and ColWithData) such that the List of ColWithData is there in TableClass object.
I'm thinking what if I override the same two methods `equals() & hashCode();`
such that the same can be achieved.
    TableClass class #1

        List<ColWithData> cwdList;
        @Override
        public boolean equals(Object obj) {
            boolean returnVal = false;

Please let me know if I'm proceeding in the right direction or I should make some any other approach. If it is ok to use the current approach then what should be performed in the equals and hashCode methods?
Finally I need to make the map as: (Its not the concern how I will make, but can be considered as my desired result from this logic)
    Map<TableClass, List<TableClass>> finalMap;

SQL to list all objects and its depencies

Hi:
I am trying to come up with a SQL script thatt will list the following:
For all ORACLE objects, list all its dependent objects.
In other words, I would like to get a trre-like output containing info on every object with all the other objects that depend on it.
I found a TOAD option for View->Dependencies
which does what i am looking for but unfortunately it falls short of making the output useful.
When I tried this option on the schema "SYSTEM" this is what I got:

That is what I need but the problem is that you have to manually click on the "+" to expand the three. For some reason the chose not to provide an "expand" option. If the tree has , say, 100 lines and each line is on average 3-4 levels deep you can imagine how many click one would have to do.

So far it looks like I would have to look at the following:
OBJ$
USER$
DBA_DEPENDEBCIES
DBA_OBJECTS
in order to get what I need but since I am not familiar with the precise meaning of the columns I cannot get any close results.

Have a look under your oracle_home directory for a file called utldtree.sql. That might give you what you are after.
