Objective Settings and Appraisal Template

I just completed most of the configurations and testing in sandbox (we have real data there) for this project.
Now I need to replicate the same in DEV and move to Quality( Client specific)  for testing and then prod.
Since there is structure of template, statuses, substatuses ............. each time I will be prompted for a transport request. Should I use one transport to include all changes or I understand that you can right click on the template structure and move to different landscapes?
Please help on this and anyhting per your experience, I should know before starting in DEV.

Hi,
Normally you just maintain everything in your development system and in the end you put it on a transport. For that just go to the template and right-mouse it. There is a write to transport entry there.
Do not forget to transport the category as well! and if you made changes to the category group those need to go as well. They can be put on a transport via context menu as well.

    Goodday,
    I'm getting this particular error in MSS service 'Objective Settings and Appraisal'. One of my drop down selection is not returning any employees even after maintainng teh proper relationship. I have 3 selection for this service - 'All employees', 'Directly reporitng employees' and 'Business Unit Reporting'. For the first 2 selection, i was able to get the correct employee list. However, for the third selection, i did not get any outcome.
    When i checked in transaction 'PPSS', i was able to get the correct result out. My root object selection returns the position of the manager. My second object selection was based on the manager's position. This then returns the 'S' and 'P' of employees with 'z10' relationship to teh manager's position.
    However, this is not appearing in MSS OSA. Anything missing?

    Thansk for the feedback. I have gone thru both and the links are very general on intalling BP. We have been using ESS/MSS for the past couple of years and all is working fine. We have recently upgraded to ECC6. this is where i'm having the problem. Any ideas?

    How can I change the delivered text 'Display Scorecard' that appears on a button on an Appraisal Document when the Link (Display Scorecard) is configured on the Layout section of an Appraisal Template?

    I have looked at the BAdi 'HRHAP00_LINK' and the associated implementation 'HRHAP00_LINK_001' and all the methods.  Where would I be able to change the value?
    I did see in the 'GET_INFORMATION' method where it mentions transaction SE61 and 'TX' to change documentation, but I couldn't find in SE61 how to add an entry to change the verbiage on the 'Display Scorecard' button.

  • HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER BADI in Objective Settings and Appraisal

    Hi,
    I need to allow the Validity Period end date to be changeable in a template.  I've created/activated an Implementation of the HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER Badi, but it does not get executed because the system is looking at the templates HRT5025 table to find the exit_area and it only has DV and DR, but no 'HA'.  It needs HA for the system to find the Header Access Badi implemenation I mentioned above.  When I check the configuration of the template, going into the Processing Tab-then clicking on Further Template Behavior, it doesn't give HA as a choice.  I'm thinking I need to get HA there for the system to find the BADi Implementation.  How do I get HA as a choice?  Or, am I not on the right track?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

    We've been revisiting the HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER BAdi as now our requirement is to allow certain users that ability to change the Status and/or Substatus of an Appraisal document, while in the document. 
    I updated my implementation to do this, but found that the system does not open the Status and Substatus fields as changeable because of an additional program that runs called HRHAP_C_BC_HEADER_ACCESS.
    Is there something I can do to allow a user to change the status/substatus when in an Appraisal document?  If not, can I somehow allow users access to the PHAP_ADMIN transaction?

  • Appraiser Authorization Issue (Objective Settings and Appraisals)

    Hello!
    We are currently using Objective Settings and Appraisals for our
    performance appraisals. ESS and MSS is also used during the process. We
    do not use structural authorizations either.
    Authorizations work fine for the vast majority of employees. However, we have an issue with some of our Human Resources users. For his/her ID they have authorization to certain personnel areas. However, his/her appraiser is in a personnel area they do not have authorization for. As a result, the appraisal does not show up when the user access ESS to work on their appraisal.
    For example we have an HR user who has access to information in
    personnel area 1081. However, her appraiser/manager is actually in 2054. As
    a result when she accesses her appraisal it says no entries exist.
    One solution we tried was selecting the 'No Authorization Check for Appraiser' on the
    template. With this selected, the appraisal shows up with the personnel
    number of the appraiser on the listing. When the appraisal is accessed
    and the user tries to perform an action, the following error pops up stating the
    appraisee person is not allowed and it has the appraiser number within
    the error message.
    Currently, we have the HR employee using a different ID for ESS that allows the
    user to access the appraisal. Is there anything standard that will
    allow the user to view the appraisal without using a different ID?

    I've customized the Objective Settings and Appraisals, created a template with part appraisal & its working properly. In my company the appraisals take place every 6 months i.e twice a year. If I create an appraisal document for an employee with validity say 1 year i.e. 01.04.2009 to 31.03.2010 in infotype 0025. Now within same appraisal document using part appraisal concept how can I do appraisal of that employee 2 times. Is it possible or I'll have to create 2 records in infotype 25, first for first 6 months & second for next 6 months. what should be the standard process?

    The administrator functions are in transaction PHAP_ADMIN. If you have a customer report and want to assign this to the transaction you implement HRHAP00_ADMIN. This has the advantage that the document selection (screen) is a given and you only need to start the report on the selected documents.
    However, you normally would not give the administrator functionality to a 'normal' manager. This because the admin functions are performed without any checks and are very powerfull.
    Your requirement can be or done via statusflow configuration (with extention set 2.00 and higher) or only by the administrator. To be honest, I think the statusflow won't give you the flexibility you probably want in this case (do workflows get re-triggered, are value determinations restarted etc etc.)
    In our design resetting a document status is an interuption in the process which should only be possible for the administrator. The transaction phap_change_pa allows the manager to reset the document from completed to in process but thats all (This is not available in the portal).

    How can I create a new category group in the activity "Edit Templates" from the objective settings and appraisals?, The system automatically generates one category group Personnel Appraisals, so we need to create  a new one?
    This new category group is neccesary for the events appraisals (PE), and the category group that we had in the system is for personnel apraisals.
    Somebody can help me to response this question??

    Try to access transaction code PHAP_CATALOG.
    Through this transaction code, you will see all the categories of appraisal templates for personnel appraisals, SAP Learning Solution, recruitment, etc.

  • Technical Link b/w Employee and Appraisal Template

    Hi,
    Can anybody please help me in finding the technical link b/w an Employee and an Appraisal Template? In other words, I need to know the table name(s) in which data is stored while appraisal processed is going on. I can view the appraisal form in IT0024 and IT0025 in PA. I can also see the objects VA, VB & VC in PP01, but where are these entries stored in the table.
    We are on SAP R/3 4.7 (Enterprise) and using new Objective Setting and Appraisal Component.

    Hi there,
    Function module 'HRHAP_DOCUMENT_GET_LIST' can be used for this purpose.
    In order to find the objects you want, make sure you set the appraisal templates for calling this function as well as all of the other required parameters. If you need help for the other parameters then let me know.
    The fields for the template table import parameter need to be set as follows:
    plvar = <b>Active plan version</b>
    otype = <b>VA or VB or VC</b>
    objid = <b>appraisal template id</b>
    This returns two tables - the appraisals and the associated documents.
    Other tables you may be interested in are :
    HRHAP_T
    HRHAP
    HRHAP_APPER
    HRHAP_APPEE

    I am trying to transport category and Appraisal Template Transport:
    1) Right clicked on Category, select transport and clicked enter, it gave me the following error:
    Object "R3TR" "TABL" "T77HAP_C_OTHER" is an automatically generated object and cannot be transported. All tables beginning with "M_" belong to matchcodes and can only be accessed with these
    After this I need to transport Appraisal Template, Please Help

    I cannot place the error message, but...
    go to transaction "oohap_category" and  select the category you want to transport, then go in the menu and select transport. That should work.

  • EHP4: Objective Settings and Appraisals

    Hi,
    We are implementing EHP4 Objective settings and appraisals solution where we have a requirement that we need to set up weightings for criteria groups and also for criteria's seperately.Actualy client requires a solution where the HR should set up the weightings in the backend for criteria groups and hte manager shouldn't be able to change it afterwords.
    However manager should be able to edit the weightings for the criterias while running the web application.
    Could anyone have some idea?

    Thanks for your quick reply.If we could use the qualification catalog for the same then do we have an option to restrict the no. of certain entries for a particular category group becuase according to our requirement there can be no. of category groups.
    i.e we want the case that once set the system should recognize if the particular qualification group(containing some x no. of entires) is related only to particular category group.
    I hope you understood what I meant ?Anc also could you please elaborate this free enhancement option?

  • Transporting the Templates in Objective settings and Appraisals

    Hello expert:
    I am finding problem in transporting the Personnel appraisal Templates from dev box to test box.
    I could transport the category group and category, but not the templates.
    When I rt. click on templates and select TRANSPORT, it is asking for a customizing transport. I did not get any error while assigning the templates to a transport.
    But after assigning template to a request number, it is not getting transported to test system.
    Any suggestions will be rewarded.

    Hi,
    I found the answer to this question in a different thread.
    If there is any problem transporting PD objects, one should try executing a report "RHSOBJCH" and adjust any inconsistencies that the report suggests.

    In appraisal template we have different object types on selecting the participants
    in general we select For one Participant ex: Manger under object type P PERSON for the same Participant i want to select
    object type S POSITION and P PERSON.
    Is there any option for the same participant we want to select both object ID's on using the T Code APPCREATE.

  • Testing Question - Objective Settings and Appraisals

    Hi Experts
    During testing, we need to delete  appraisal docs under Appraisal Template and  do "cancel release", each time need  to change configurations or for any changes in the template.
    Since in Perf Mgmt , it is recommeded to transport at the very end, how can we accomodate these changes as the tranport is already released and moved to QA?  
    Secondly, how can we transport  configurations done for the front end/ portal configurations as the project requirement is to access appraisal template via ESS/MSS?
    I have done this whole project in Sandbox ( as we have real data there) and tested and worked fine, now doing everything in DEV and moving to QA and then Prod, I need to be educated on accomodating and moving configurations through different landscapes.

    For the customizing, just make your changes, put them on a transport and push them thru your landscape. You can create as many transports as needed, just make sure you import them in the right order

    Using TCode PHAP_Prepare_PA, we can assign the Appraisal Template to Either Org Unit, org Units with resrticted Templates.
    As per our requirement we need to assign the appraisal template to OM Object- Job Families. But this option is not available in PHAP_Prepare_PA. Also we can not maintain relationship of any Appraisal objects like VA, VB, VC thro PP01.
    Can you guys please suggest a way by which we can assign the appraisal templte to Job Families.
    Is there any patch that we need to apply?

    Hi Chetan,
    Add a column owner into an Appraisal Template, SAP Provides a Business Add-Ins(BAdI) name HRHAP00_COL_OWNER.
    This Business Add-In (BAdI) enables you to create further implementations, in addition to the standard SAP Implementations, with which you can provide further column owners.
    You can select the implementations in the appraisal catalog on the Column Access tab page.

    I hope you must have downloaded the template from Client Box. When you are saving the downloaded appraisal template in the source Client Box, do not save it on your loacal desktop. Please check in the destination Client Box (the folder options available) and save accordingly.
    You can download the appraisal Template/ category by right click and then selecting Download option.
    For upload, you can right click and then select Upload Template/ category, as required.
