Objects Display in Timeline but not in Preview

Heya,
I'm trying to get a couple of colored ovals to appear over screenshots in Captivate 5.5. If I move the Timeline bar, the objects display with the correct timing and effects. However, when I attempt any type of preview (next 5, from this, web, project), none of the objects appear. project), none of the objects appear. I would love to get some help. Thanks!

16:9 footage displays properly in timeline but not in menu

Greetings guys,
this is a follow up to a 16:9 import issue I had previously.
We now have a good quality 16:9 file that imports as an asset into Encore no problem. It plays back perfectly in Encore in a timeline but if I use the footage as a menu, which I intend to do with one clip then it puts letter boxes either side of the footage. I check 16:9 in the properties but it doesn't help... I don't understand why encore will play the widescreen footage and display it properly in a timeline but not as a menu...
any thoughts would be great,

CODEC: MPEG2
FRAME RATE: 25.000 /s
DAR: 1.778 (16:9)
720 x 576
SAR: 1.250 (5:4)
PAR: 1.422 (~10:7)

Select the menu then "Edit->Edit Menu in Photoshop"
Verify the menu dimension in Photoshop, if the menu is HD size then reduce it to 720x576.
Or use any DV-PAL size menu from Encore library.

Doublechecking. Have you also tried a complete uninstall of both iTunes and all the other related software components and then a reinstall? If not, try the instructions from the following document:

You are probably looking in the wrong place - all photos in Photo view and in event too unless you have a corrupted library
most common cause of your not finding them is bad sort - view menu ==> sort events
Nest most common cause is a bad data/time on the camera - this can be corrected using a smart album to find the photos from that camera and then using using the adjust time/date command to fix the bad ones
YOu can alwasy find the event a Photo is in by selecting it and selecting show event

Your basically calling/emailing yourself that's why your getting a busy signal.

Found the answer to this one myself.
Load the most recent version 1.3.2 of java 3D and everything is sweet.
The version available on Sun (1.3.1) has problems with some recent device drivers

Video Control Bar in Flash Displays on HD but Not From Webserver

I am using Flash Pro 8 - putting FLV files in SWF files using
Flash Pro 8 and then "publishing" to Html and SWF to a location on
my hard drive.
When I display the webpage from my Hard Drive from where ever
on my hard drive I initially published to from Flash 8 Pro -
everything works fine - videos play and video control bar shows and
works.
When I publish this website to web server the video displays
and plays but NO Video Controller Bar (at bottom of the video)
shows at all.
Symptom: when I make an Html, SWF and FLA file into a folder
on my hard drive and display them in the browser the video control
bar shows. When I copy those three files into the hard drive
website in FrontPage, the video shows but the video control bar
does not.
So, I re-made the Html, SWF, and FLA files and put them
directly into the FrontPage website (on my hard drive) then
everything works fine when I use broswer (IE 6 or Firefox). z
But, when I publish the hard drive website to the remote
website hosting company, the video control bar disappears -
everything else works fine (video shows OK just no video controller
bar.)
My guess is that the SWF file has a non-relative URL
reference concerning the video control bar and when the three files
(Html, SWF and FLA) are moved to new location then that
non-relative address rears its head.
I should NOT publish from Flash 8 Pro directly to remote
webserver as it has FrontPage Extensions and does not like to talk
to FTP changes to website not coming from FrontPage client.

Flash Store/Player displaying in Chrome but not IE10

It displays in Chrome but when I tried it in IE10 it is missing.
I have tried a cache clean and also from a laptop with same results?
Interesting in standalone at www.spindisc.co.uk/cart the player that is written in AS3 with SWF fand XML files, shows upper central in Chrome, however in IE10 it shows in top left position (so I am expecting that while it is in the site page it is being displayed off stage!!!!
The coding shows to be aligned as "middle" in the HTML file, I can't figure out what the problem is.
Any help please.

I found out I had to adjust this line

as IE requires full name and not just pathing

Currency Symbol displays correctly locally, but not when I deploy to server

Hi have some number fields, where I set the control hint on the view to Currency format. When I run locally, everything displays properly: $1,234.56
But when I deploy my application to our development server, the $ is coming up as a ¤1,234.56. This happens to all my currency fields, not matter what object is displaying it.
I've seen one other post that talks about using a numberConverter tag everytime I display the values, but I'd prefer to stick with "best practice" of using the control hints. Especially since it works fine locally, I have to think this is some sort of server side setting that I am missing. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening here?

The ¤ symbol is a "neutral" currency symbol, it is used if no locale can be determined (no matter if you are using control hints or converters). Try setting a default local to your application on the faces-config.xml file.

Trying to print an object at all pages but not last

Hi.
I'm trying to print an object (a square ) at all pages but not printing at last. I try to use "All But Last Page" at "Print Object On" property of field but this is not ok.
Tried to get value of any function like SRW.GET_PAGE_NUM to find the last page indicator, but I think this doesn't exist.
Any idea will be apreciated.

It's all about anchors. Objects cannot have a property of Print Object On "Last Page" or "All but last page" if their Base Printing On property is "Enclosing Object". In order for it to work, you should anchor the fields or frames you want displayed on "all but the last page" to the main frame which holds the Repeating frame of the detail section of your report. Then, you should set the Base Printing On property to "Anchoring Object" and now you're ready to use the "All but last page" and "Last Page" options on Print Object On property.

Objects Exist in Prod but not in Dev - how to Delete?

Hi All,
I have recently taken over a system and I am doing some clean up of process chains which are failing and not needed anymore.
I have noticed that there are objects like DTP and Transformation in Production for an Infocube in-active in production that have a different technical name in the Development environment.
When I activate the objects in Dev and transport them through it does not work as presumably the objects have different technical names, my transport seems to do nothing.
I am now looking at deleting the objects from production and then transporting through new Active DTP and Transformation so that both systems are in Sync but because the objects are in prod and not in Dev I cannot delete them with a trasnport.
Same with my Process chain it is in production and I want to delete it but when I delete it in Dev and transport through to prod it does not delete.

For deleting DTP :
Execute the RSBKDTPDELETE report. As of NW 7.0 Support Package 08, this report exists in your system, before this, you must use Transaction SE38 to create it and copy the program text from the correction instructions. The report requests the ID of the DTP that is to be deleted.
Caution: You should execute the report only if you cannot delete a DTP using the normal procedure. The report does not check whether the DTP may be deleted, for example if this DTP has already been used to load delta requests and if a deletion would invalidate the delta administration.
For deleting ProcessChain :
For deleting process chain, we will have access in the system. If not, tey to transport the chain again.
Deleting process chain is not an issue i guess.

Problems with artwork displaying in iTunes but not on iPod screen

I have iTunes (7.6) and a 5th gen, 80GB, firmware 1.2.3 iPod.
Not infrequently, I find that a song's artwork is visible in iTunes, but not on the iPod itself. Sometimes the artwork is displayed simply as a black rectangle on the iPod.
The converse situation also sometimes happens - when album info is retrieved from the CDDB, sometimes album artwork is also retrieved - but this is not displayed in the iTunes software, only on the iPod.
And yes, the "Display album artwork on your iPod" checkbox is selected in iTunes.
Does anyone have any more info about this?
Are there any restrictions on image file formats? Maximum size? Type? Interlaced or not?

It is an irritating problem, cos there's no way to check what the artwork looks like on the iPod without disconnecting it from my PC :/

I think the "sync" thing is irrelevant anyways.
What I tried in the end was viewing my iPod in iTunes,
navigating through to the check box for "display album artwork",
UNcheck it, and click apply.
At this point, iTunes said, with NO confirmation "Are you sure?" dialog, "DELETING ARTWORK ON iPOD" !! :-O I was not pleased
However I then re-selected the "display album artwork" box and clicked Apply. The process took about 10 minutes to complete.
When I then disconnected the iPod, the black squares were gone, and the artwork was NOT deleted (phew!) and was displaying correctly. I was pleased
The amount of "other" megabytes on the display in iTunes for my iPod's contents had shrunk.
I dunno what all this actually did - are the artwork files embedded in the MP4 files on the iPod? Or are they stored seperately and linked to them?
I'm wondering if the "black square" thing is caused by an MP4 having an embedded image, and there also being a conflicting image file elsewhere on the hard drive? But this is just guessing.
