Objects in Fireworks files lose their x,y coordinates

I am currently using CS4 10.0.3.011
I can create a Firewoks graphic and save it just fine.
When I re-open the file to edit it, sometimes the x,y positions of the various objects are scrambled and the pieces end up all over the page. This causes me to have move everything back to the way it was thus creating lots of grief and profanity.
I thought I was the only one having this issue until I was talking to a friend and realized he was having the same issues.
I have searched and searched and searched for a resolution to this problem, but have yet to find anything even discussing it.
Has anyone else seen this?
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to resolve it?
Any help is greatly appreciated as this really irritating me.

When I export an Indesign file as a pdf, objects lose their transparency

The file looks fine in Indesign, but as soon as I export it for print, all transparent objects lose their transparency. I've tried multiple export settings.

What export settings did you use? That looks like you used X/1-a.

Have you looked at re-arranging the reading-order itself under View/Navigation Panels/Order/
This will provide you with the ability to fine-tune content for reflow and read-aloud ..

Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS: RDS Users are unable to delete files from their desktop

We are working with Windows Server 2012 R2 RDS. We also implemented User Profile Disks. This is all working fine without problems. The only issue I have is that normal users are unable to delete files from their desktop. They are getting a message:
you'll need administrator permission to delete this file, with the prompt for administrator access.
They can edit, copy, rename, cut and paste files. But they cannot delete a file from their desktop.
I checked the security permissions of the files on the desktop (for example a normal self-created PDF file) and the users are owner and have "Full Control" over the files.
I checked the file permissions and took a look under "Advanced", selecting the specific domain user and checked the "Advanced Permissions" and the user has the "Delete" option checked. So he should be able to delete the
file.
I am guessing this is UPD related issue, or something in GPO. But I already unlinked the GPO objects, that I felt could be the source of this problem, but without results.
Could someone give me a hint on where to look? It's kinda annoying to users, that they can't delete their own files.

What you should check first, is the NTFS permissions on the User Profile Disk to begin with. See if the user has full control over the items that are in the UPD.
Also check the GPO's that are enabled for the user and computer account. You can check that by running: gpresult /h <path>\gpresult.html
There are two GPO settings that could prevent the user from deleting his/her own items:
User
Configuration\\Policies\\Administrative Templates\\Windows Components\\Windows Explorer\
Hide these specified drives in My Computer
Prevent access to specified drives in My
Computer
There might be other GPO settings, that block deleting items on the UPD, but can't think of any out of my head.
I can only think NTFS and GPO settings that might prevent the user from deleting items. In my case it was a GPO setting, that I didn't suspect.

PDF export of adobe illustrator files loses layers

When we export an iBooks Author file as a PDF (best quality), Adobe Illustrator files that have transparent layers lose their transparency.
The .ai files look fine iBooks Author (where is gives the file name of the image as a .pdf because that is how iBooks author imports .ai files), and when you Preview the file in iBooks on the iPad, and the transparent layers are there.
It is only when exporting to PDF that the image breaks.

The problem was in "printing" the PDF.
The issue was completely resolved by printing the iBA file to a Post Script file, and then indepently using Adobe Distiller to produce the final PDF.
It makes no sense to me why using Print to Adobe PDF from the iBA print menu works any differently than using Distiller on a .ps file. But whatever, it works, and it is beautiful.

In elements 6, certain edited files lose color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Why is this happening?

Using Elements 6- when editing files in certain applications such as Portrait Proffesional, the edited versions lose their color when transfered to Photomail or Online Gallery. Also, when I use elements 6 e- mail attatchment to e-mail a single file, I get a message that says too much has been taken up. Anyone have any suggestions?

Well here's my workflow. I'm using Firewire external HD for storing Aperture library.
1. Creating Folder with client's name
2. Creating New project with shooting name in the clients folder.
3. importing all RAW files into project. During that process i'm adding all keywords, time adjustment, credits etc....
4. sorting photos, adding ratings (1 - for delete, 4 and 5 - to keep).
5. making smart albums (according to ratings). Deleting all 1 star files.
6. Editing all 5 stars (the one i'll give to the clients). If i'll need to edit it with photoshop, i'll use open in external editor. And keep the final psd file also in the Aperture library.
7. Adding "final version" keyword to all files ready to be send to the client.
8. Making a new smart folder (sorting by "final" keyword)
9. Using internal web publishing - i'm publish them on my .Mac account. Sending the link to the client
10. Using presets exporting tiffs and jpg versions and burning them on DVD for my client.
11. Also - i'll print them using Aperture.
12. Backing up the project - both on DVD and Aperture Vault (using external HD).
13. I'm also backing up Aperture library using TimeMachine (using 3rd external drive).

File objects in jar file

Hi!
Is their some kind of way one can use File objects in a jar file plz? I have a project which is complete and working well on the IDE but now that I have jarred it, i've come to realize that apparently file objects do not relate well with .jar files. The problem is that the program makes a lot of file manipulations and changing everything to getResource, InputStream etc would be very lengthy. So there's absolutely no way in which one can use File objects in jar files?
Any help would be very much appreciated!

You can use the java.net.JarURLConnection class (use file:/// when creating the URL) to get a URL to a jar entry, create a URI from the URL, and then create a File object on the URI.
Or use java.util.jar.JarFile methods and its associated classes to get jar entry contents.
While you can use these approaches to create File objects from a jar, they are not any easier than what's already been mentioned.
And all you can do is read or delete a jar - jar entries can't be rewritten.

You're going to need to be more specific, as I'm not quite sure I understand what you're talking about.
If you're referring to copying from an external hard drive or flash drive, and you want to actually move files rather than copy them, you can hold down the option key to force it to do a "move" rather than a "copy." This is not new behavior, though... the Mac OS has worked this way as long as I can recall (and I've been using it since 1984).
If you're having a problem with trying to move files from one place to another on a single drive causing them to be copied instead, that is likely because of some permissions issue preventing you from actually being able to move them.

Save different Objects in one file by two different streams

I have a issue to read two Objects from one file if I write those in two different streams.
I open the ObjectOutputStream and save an Object to the file. Then I close this stream and file. Then I open the new ObjectOutputStream and save the second Object in the same file. It works Ok. Then I open the ObjectInputStream and try to read those two objects and get java.io.StreamCorruptedException.
This exception happes only when app tryes to read the second Object.

How to allow the user to upload a file from their desktop to MII Server?

Hi,
Is there a way for the user to specify a file on their local computer to upload to the MII server for processing? We have a method that works for uploading from a shared network drive, but now the need/desire is to allow the user to upload a file from their desktop.
Ideally, this would be a file browser that the user would click on to browse their local desktop and select the file and click "Upload" but not sure what's possible?
This is using 12.1 SP4.

Ask Apple to re-enable it. I had an unauthorized purchase last October. They disabled my account until the problem was solved. However, I asked them to reopen it, and they just asked me to provide some security information (billing address, a recent purchase you made, etc.), and then they re-enabled it.

The problem is that, if I use only the Load for open the file,it works great and find the first User, instead if in the Salva I run try{ loader.Caricalista(Lista);
}catch (Exception e){System.out.println ("Errore in Salva.java");}
it always goes in Error and print "Errore in Salva.java" like if it can not open the file.
How Can I Resolve?
The base idea is the:
from the mainvia I pass the ListKey Lista to save, then i load all the object from the file to the Lista, then i add to the List the new Object then i write all the object in the List to the file.

Object in import-file header does not correspond to the migration object

Hi Forum,
I have loaded Business partner successfully with the file created in Workbench with test data.
Now I want to load the data from Application server. But i am getting the error
"Object in import-file header does not correspond to the migration object".
I have read that the import file should have 3 types of record
1. Header record corrs to the structure TEMINFO
2. Actual data records
3. Final record for individual object.
I am not sure where I am making a mistake
my files header looks like
<004F><Space><&INFO><Company><Migration Object><User><Date><Time>

I am assuming you are in transaction EMIGIMP loading a converted migration file for import, correct?
If so, you should be able to read the company, mig. object, user name, etc. in the import file tab overview. If conversion did not work correctly, this info will not display here.
It is possible you are missing some data in the header, or spacing is not correct. Are you converting the input file with program REMIG_FILE_TRANSFORM or are you trying to create the migration file yourself?
