Objects modified on Upgrade

Hi people,
I have the doubt, on the upgrade of R3 4.7 to ECC 6.0. All the developments made on the standard of sap, How Can I adjust in the new version? I read the upgrade guide, but this point it´s confused for me.
More thanks.

Hi Ruben,
You need to use transactions SPAU/SPDD for this. Your ABAP guys would be able to help you with that as well. Please check:

  • Objects modified by a patch

    Hi,
Please let me know how to find the objects modified by a patch.
In OAM I'm able to see only the files modified by a patch.
    I need modified objects.
    Thanks
    \RK

    Hi,
I do not think there is a direct way to determine this. "Patch Impact Analysis" report would provide some useful information (like number of files in the patch, number and type of files the patch will install, products that will have updated files, files that will be introduced by the patch, ..etc).

You may query DBA_OBJECTS and check the TIMESTAMP of the objects based on the date/time when the patch was applied.

  • Impacted Object List - when upgrade

When a customer upgrade from E1 8.10 to E1 8.12, he should know the impact over his customization on standard objects. Where can he get the consolidated list of impacted objects by this upgrade?

    Hi,
There is a guide (7MB) available on MetaLink3 that lists all changes to ALL objects. The one I came across is JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Programmer's Guide - Xe to 8.12
    You can find them in:
Knowledge > Browse Home > JD Edwards EnterpriseOne > All Products Information > Documentation - Install & Updates > All Products > Implementation Guides & Updates > Browse Results
    Good luck

  • SAP Standard objects:modified ones.

    Dear all,
my client wants to have a report where in he can see all the modified SAP standard object so that he can analyse his effort for the next upgrade.
there is already a report existing which does this but not sure if the logic is correct.
It is getitng all the entires from table "ADIRACCESS" and displaying.
I understand i can look at the txn SPAU and SPDD but ofr reporting purpose i waould need to get the tables/ FM which gives me the lilst of objects
any pointers to that would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance !

    Hi Dhruv,
As mentioned by Srinivas the ADIRACCESS table is where all access keys used within your system for modification to SAP standard code are stored and hence should be a good indication of what all / how many modifications to standard have taken place.
As to your doubts, append structures do not require access keys, since creating append strcutures is an enhancement to standard DDIC objects and only needs a transport since in actual, it only is creating a Z table structure.
Also, user exits and BAdis certainly dont require access keys. Again they are enhancement and not modifications and when upgrading they will NOT be overwritten. As SAP mentions, during upgrades all enhancements are retained within the system however modifications if not handled are overwritten.
Hope this helps in a way.
    Best regards,
    Aditya

  • Report to find the objects modified during a period in time

    Hi all,
I need to find out the number of SAp objects that have been modified during a period in time. Is there any report in SAP I can use?
    Thanks
    Diana

I don't know a standard report (SE95 does not seem to include selection by date), maybe you can tweak SE16 display of table SMODILOG for your purpose.

  • Can we check the Objects modifiable " option for standard objects

    Dear Friends
In IR , we have imported SRM SERVER->SRM SERVER5.5
Then we  have checked the option<u><b> "Objects are modifiable"</b></u> then we imported the IDOC from R/3 system under SRM SERVER 5.5 swcv.
Then created the mapping. It is working fime.
how ever i am not sure whether it is right process. Can we check the "Objects are modifiable" for standard compoents delivered by SAP????
    Regards
    chandra

    Hi Jai,
<i> >>>Can we check the "Objects are modifiable" for standard compoents delivered by SAP????
No. As best practise you are not supposed to do so.</i>
In order to implement any changes in the mapping we can do it rite.
Because recently i have applied one SAP note to my SRM swcv and one of the MM object was changed according to the requirements.
    Thanks,
    Prasanthi.

  • Business Objects Planning Database Upgrade

I have attempting to upgrade Business Objects Planning from version 11.2 to 11.6.  The upgrade appears to run successfully, however, when I attempt to start the Planning Application Services, the service fails to start up, stating the current DB version is less than the working version.  I have spoken to our consultant, who stated he knew nothing of any changes that must be made to the database.  The first portion of the error log is copied below.  I have tried an incremental step of upgrading from 11.2 to 11.5 and have received the same error.  What must I do to configure the database either before or after the upgrade?
Application is set up as single server.
    OS is windows server 2003
    Database is Oracle 10.2.0.4.
Database user is SRCAdmin, and is an owner of the db.

    hi Santhosh,
you may be able to use the query builder tool to do this.
    BusinessObjects Query builder - Basics
if you need further info on using this particular tool let me know & i'll move your question to the bi platform space.
you can also look into 3rd party tools such as rpt inspector which may be able to do this.

  • Inactive authorization objects after patch upgrade

    Hello all,
I've upgraded the version of all the patches of my 4.6C system, but I've a problem.
Now, I can see by PFCG t-code that a group of roles have objects of authorization inactive and I cannot remove and add again in the role.
A strange thing because if I go to SU25 t-code and I revise all the roles affected by the patches (specially one of the affected),  I see the role fine but waiting to be adjusted. If I try to adjust the role by this transaction, the result is unsuccesful. I go after this to PFCG transaction and the objects are inactive.
Is strange, it seems that I've the role duplicated, in PFCG transaction I see the "bad" role with inactive objects and in SU25 transaction I see the "good" role waiting to be adjusted.
Anyone knows what's my problem ??
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Albert Plaza

    Hello,
    thanks for the answer.
I've executed the report and I've 4 or 5 roles with duplicated authorizations, but neither of them are my roles with objects inactive.
    Anyway, I don't know that's my problem.
I would like to know if it's normal to see my role different by PFCG and SU25 and if anyone know how fix it.
    That's really strange !!!
    Regards,
    Albert

  • Newly Created authorization Objects after SAP Upgrade

Can someone tell me whether there is any transaction or table that display the added object authorizations after a Sap Upgrade ?
    Thanks in advance.

Also, you can check SAP_NEW profile which shows which authorization objects have been added in which release.

  • Authorisation objects while BI upgrade

    Hi Guru's,
We are planing to upgrade our BW system from 3.5 to 7.x. We have some authorisation objects in our system. Before upgrading should we do any consistency check for these objects.
    Regards
    Savi

    Hi,
I need to develop field level authorization.
I need to create BW Role that will restrict access based on region.
I made region as authorisation reveleant.
    In BW 3.5
In RSSM i used to create authorisation object based on region and in PRCG i use that authorisation object and restrict it with a value i desired.
What is the procedure in BI 7.0
    Thanks

  • How to get the list of object that are going to modify during the upgrade?

We are upgrading sap 4.OB to ECC 6, is there any place we will get the list of standard object which are going to modify in service market place? Please let me know the link to get those details.
    Thanks

Usually you get this list when upgrading first system (sandbox type) via SPDD and SPAU. (useful for objects modified in your system - SNOTE or mofications) - The whole list of modified objects will be huge,  many (most) objects were modified (created, even deleted) those last 13 years.
There are also tools that may help you like [panaya|http://www.panayainc.com/] (but i'm not sure for a 4.0B, it worked fine for a 46c) - look for tools/vendor at [Partner Information Center: Search|http://www.sap.com/partners/directories/SearchSolution.epx]

  • Steps to upgrade Bw Objects from BW 3.5 to BW 7.0

    I have upgraded a NW2004(BW3.5) system to NW2004s(BW 7.0) .
After upgrade i see that the infocubes, infoobjects are still in BW 3.5 Concept itself.
When i open each object and save it , it is changing to BW 7 Object. But there are about 10000 objects. Please let me know the steps to upgrade the Objects to BW 7.0

    Just upgrade.
There are some guides in service.sap.com and lots of notes on upgrade.
Reg efforts, it is totally dependent on the  no of objects, etc to upgrade / convert and so many other factors. Even a rought estimate will not be possible without the knowledge of the system.
