Objects not activated during Upgrade
Hi,
We are uphrading our BW system from 3.5 to 7.0. During XPRA phase i.e installation of technical content, many query elements not activated with error message 'Java communication error'. They are not present in our current production system and may be delivered with new BI content. Can we ignore these objects at this stage. What actually happens in XPRA phase? Do our basis installing all business content objects?? We are not using java functionality now on our system.
Regards,
Raj.
hello,
it may be that the services in the J2EE is not up. try to activate all services in the J2EE system.
Ask your basis to do the same.
There are some notes on the same:
SAP Note 1036075 TREX 7.10: Java parameter communication.readtimeout
SAP Note 946679 RFC_VMC_COMMUNICATION_ERROR
SAP Note 982547 COMMUNICATION_FAILURE error group instead of SYSTEM_FAILURE
SAP Note 916090

Disck Space not enough during upgrade CUCM 9.1(2)SU1 to 9.1(2)SU2a
Hi,
I face an issues during upgrade my current CUCM 9.1(2)SU1 to 9.1(2)SU2a, it show with this error message "There is not enough disk space in the common partition to perform the upgrade, for steps to resolve this condition please refer to CUCM 9.1(1) release notes or view defect CSCuc63312 in bug toolkit on Cisco.com". I had check the bug id and got 2 way to do it:-
1. reduce the amount of traces on the system, but I not ready want to do this
2. install a COP file name: ciscocm.free_common_space_v1.0.cop.sgn
If I select option 2, will it have any risk? Is it mean 9.1(2) - inactive version will be clear out from disk space or it will clear out 2 version - active and inactive version from disk space?
I need have some advice on this before I perform.
Thanks.Hi,
As per the following link
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/rel_notes/9_1_1/CUCM_BK_R6F8DBD4_00_release-notes-for-cucm-91/CUCM_BK_R6F8DBD4_00_release-notes-for-cucm-91_chapter_011.html
You will not be able to switch to the previous version after the COP file is installed. For example, if you are upgrading from Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.0(1) to Cisco Unified Communications Manager 9.1(1) and the previous version is Cisco Unified Communications Manager 8.6, the COP file clears the space by removing the 8.6 version data that resides in the common partition. So after you apply the COP file, you will not be able to switch to the 8.6 version."
Additionally, regarding the first option, if you do not want to reduce the tracing levels you can still delete some old traces using RTMT which gives you an option of deleting the traces from the server as well as transferring / downloading them to your pc simultaneously by checking the 'delete from server' option on last page of log file collection option.

How to track changes made to the standard objects by SAP during upgrade ?
Hi All,
Can any one of you please let me know if there is any straight forward method to find any change made to the standard objects by SAP in different versions ?
Like for eg, during upgrade from 4.6c to ECC 6.0.
Thanks in advance.> For eg , if SAP has made any change in the standard transaction IE02, in ECC 6.0 how will we come to know those changes?
There are two sources for that:
The "Solution Browser" (http://solutionbrowser.erp.sap.fmpmedia.com/) which lists the differences between source and destination release and the release notes (http://service.sap.com/releasenotes). You'd need to read here all those from 4.6 to ERP 6.0 (so 4.7, ECC 5.0 and ERP 6.0) to find out the behaviour changes.

Profit Segment not activated during creation of purchase order item
Hello,
While I create a Purchase Order Item, in the account assignment tab, I may fill in at least a cost center or a cost center and an internal order.
If I fill in only a cost center and key the enter buton, the profit segment is activated.
If I fill in the cost center and the Internal Order at the same time and afterwards I key the enter button, the profit segment is not activated. I have to click on the Profit segment button and validate the profit segment manually.
Could you tell me what the problem is?
Thank you in advance
RegardsHi
That makes sense to me
In any entry you can enter One REAL Object and more than one Stat Object...
SInce you entered Cost Center in Option 1 - You were proposed with PSG and IO as the option
Since you entered Cost center *** REAL IO in Option 2 - The system got what it wanted i.e. One REAL OBJECT.. hence, no more objects are proposed to you... However, you can manually enter PSG or WBS if allowed in your Field Status Group in FI

HR Objects in SPAU during upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0
Hello,
We are in the process of upgrading and have come to the point in SAPup where we need to address all customizations in SPAU. There were several HR objects displayed (both logical and physical info objects), and from what I have been reading, there should be no HR objects listed. I followed the instructions in OSS note 519678 to remove unnecessary HR objects from table SMODILOG using program H99PDSY_REPAIR_SMODILOG. This did remove quite a few, but I am still left with some.
Can anyone provide information on what I should do to resolve this issue. I thought that maybe, the information that HR objects should not be in SPAU could be wrong, so I attempted to reset one object to original. When I did this, it prompted me to create a new "customizing" transport request, when all of the other objects related to SPAU were put into a "workbench" transport. I also understand that there should only be one transport for all SPAU adjustments, so this further makes me believe these objects should not be showing up.
Thank you,
LeeannaHello Leeanna,
Apply this note. and execute the mentioned report, this deletes all the HR objects

OOP PL/SQL - Objects not activated
Trying to use OOP (Object Oriented Programming) under PL/SQL
I get the message that Objects are not activated.
Do you now if this is a feature only available in the
Enterprise edition, or if I need to change some setting or
configuration file somewhere?
nullI would estimate that about .01% of PL/SQL apps are written with a completely OO model, so finding help on this might be difficult. Keep in mind that your database session only really lives as long as takes to render a page, so lets just say that's 0.2 seconds. I believe this is also true for J2EE web applications as well. There is no way to keep the session alive, nor would you want to as this totally kill scalability and performance. The only structures that persist from page to page are APEX items and global application contexts, neither of which are suited to storing an object. Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

New authorisation object not working after upgrade
Hello there
We have created a new authorisation object ZCODE for the customized transaction codes ZPA20 and ZPA30. This was all fine until the upgrade. Now we can't even access the data e.g. in ZPA20 with SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW profile. It gives an error that says "You have no authorisation..." The trace shows no errors.
Are there any important steps that we've missed after the upgrade? You might have excluded custom objects from SAP_ALL (see the PRGN_CUST switch for this), or need to regenerate SAP_ALL again (there us a button for this in SU21).
Another possibility is that a field of your custom object is a data element which is now obsolete or changed with the upgrade.
Please provide more infos about the object, and what you have found so far.
Cheers,
Julius
ps: Are ZPA20 and ZPA30 copies of the original PA20 and PA30? The upgrade would have brought in some changes to the standard codes, which might not be (completely, consistently) included in the copies, depending on how you copied them.

CVERSEXPORT.OUT not found during upgrade
Hi,
In the extraction Phase of the upgrade (upgrade to NW7.01) we are getting the below error
"SEVERE ERROR: File CVERSEXPORT.OUT not found or empty."
Please advice.
Regards,
CsHi,
The problem seems to be an issue with your downloaded files for the upgrade .
Please check you have downloaded all the export files for the upgrade succesfully . If not download
again and repeat the field .
Also mount the CD immediately after the Drive. Like H://Export .
Make sure that the file path is not too lengthy .

FaceTime video not active during web browsing
Hello,
My friend and I are both using MBP (2011) w/ OS Lion, yet when I start to use Safari, my video pauses and is not in the active screen (I have to go back to the desktop screen to see him and my video feed being un-paused). However, when he uses safari, his video is not paused and is active while using safari (he can surf and vid chat at the same time). I can't see what seetings, if any is causing this to occur. Any thoughts?
TxI think this is by design. I think it occus when Safari is in full screen in Lion. Perhaps your friend isn't in full screen mode.

CSS506INT3# show redundancy
Redundancy: Disabled Redundancy Protocol: Not Running
Redundancy is running before upgrade. Is anything wrong??show redundancy would never show you anything with this config.
'show redundancy' is used for Box-to-Box redundancy.
What you have configured is VIP/Interface redundancy.
You need to use the command :
show redundant-?
redundant-interfa.. Show redundant-interface information
redundant-vips Show redundant-vip information

Structure SI_BBSEG not found during upgrade from 4.6C to ECC 6.0
Hi
We are upgradingour SAP system from 4.6c to ECC 6.0 and we are having an issue while generating the programs, error says '.INCLUDE SI_BBSEG ' not found. It seems like structure SI_BBSEG was not created by SAP'. How would i resolve this issue? i couldnt find any OSS note on this. Please advice.
thank you,
- AAnil
SI_BBSEG is Include structure of BBSEG & comes already included in it as std SAP. (u can see it in SE11 >> BBSEG)
It does not exist till you want to enhance BBSEG & add your custom fields. Normally those fields will be added to Std SAP screens as custom enhancements . You can go to SE11 & double click; it will ask Do you want to create ?
What is the process you are following for moving Enhancements from 4.6 to ECC6 (user Exits, screen exits) ? If this SI_BBSEG exists in old system, then there must be std screen enhanced which uses the fields of this structure. There could be some programs too which are using this structure while creating FI Documents using std BAPI. recomended that these should move to ECC6 together.
If you have not enhanced BBSEG in 4.6 then refer note : 590977 -

In the menu bar, click on File. Almost at the bottom of the dropdown list will be the Work Offline option. If it has a tick next to it, then FF is working in offline mode. Just click on it once & all will be sorted.
