Objects recently modified (Portlet)

Dear all,
I was wondering if there is a portlet for Portal that lists (all) the recent objects modified; I mean public items published by any content manager. The default functionality that is close to this only allows to display a list of recent objects modified by you and not by all contributors.

hi,
one solution is to use the custom search portlet and run it in auto-query mode. you can for example configure it to automatically show all items modified in the last 7 days in page group x.

Remove Recently Modified text and links

I am new to CSS. Here are the instructions I am using to remove recently modified text and links below it:
Type in the CSS code below in red into Notepad without the quotes. Save the file.
“<style> .s4-recentchanges{ DISPLAY:none; } </style>”
Upload to file to your SharePoint site. Copy the link of the file.
Go to Edit mode of the page where you want the “Recently Modified” link to disappear.
Add a Content Editor webpart (under Media and Content) on the page.
Edit the webpart.
In the Content Link box, paste the URL you copied in 2) above.
Under Chrome Type, select None.
Click OK.
I created the file but am not sure where do I upload the file (site assets, etc). This should have an .css extension. Does this webpart go at the top or bottom of the page.

OWB Issue|| ORA-12838: cannot read/modify an object after modifying it in

Hi
I am not able to enter the data into the staging table .
it is also not throwing any error ,only giving warnings.
so as a next step i just took the intermediate result generation and try to run it
but it is giving me an error in that
ORA-12838: cannot read/modify an object after modifying it in parallel

The error ORA-12838 occurs if you try to issue SELECT/DML immediately after completing parallel DML, within one transaction - it's not permitted.
Start another transaction - issue Commit or Rollback first.

Is "Open Recent' modifiable?

Is "Open Recent' modifiable?
Is there a way to increase the number of "recent" files that an application will list in "Open Recent" - right now it seems that it's limited to what the application has set ... BBEdit is about 16, Photoshop is 11 .... I'd like to be able to set any and all applications to a 20-25 "recent" file limit.

there is no "preferences" file in the Word menu bar.
Which version of Word? I have Word 2004 and under the Word item in the menu there is preferences (can also be opened by command + comma). In preferences there is general and under that is a feature to change the number of recently used items.

If the object is modified int the QA server

If the object is released to QA from Dev system>In QA system if some modifications are confrontedmthen the object is modified in the dev system.
Will the object be assigned to a new transport request or task or ?
Can anyone xplain this

Once you have released a request, you can't add any new changes ( task ) to it.
So yes, you are correct the object will be contained in a new separate request.

Lion - finding recently modified files

Lion's removed the 'recently modified files' from the sidebar in finder. How, in the new Lion world, does one find files that have been recently created, for example in Fireworks/whatever?
The online help is useless, but as the user interface isn't much help, I now need to find out.
BTW searching for a file using spotlight was the only way I managed to find the file - I want the "new" "improved" way of doing something that's always been there. Oh, opening the enclosing folder shoots me to a different screen when using mis-control.
What a mess.

Click on the Desktop
Do CMND + Click (this opens Spotlight)
Search for a full stop (.)
When files appear, select the "Last Opened" column.
This lists files even without a . in their names. It seems to include OS files that were opened directly by the user (eg., text files) but no matter.

After System copy all objects become modified state in Dev and Quality .

we have 5 source systems, recently we did system copy for 4 source systems but only one system alone not participated.
so now all objects in SS become modified state in development and quality.
earlier in Sys copy i faced the same problem in quality i will do the transport form dev to quality. but now in development itself its in modified state how can activate it?

Looks like system copy is not performed correctly.
But there are options like
go to source system
myself BW system right click actiuvate and replicate option
similarly for SAP R/3 source system.Right click and activate
then there are other transactions in case there are specific objects to be activated
RSDG_CUBE_ACTIVATE
RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE
SO ON

Error while trying to create IPTSession object in ALUI Portlet

All,
I'm creating a IPTSession object using the following code in a ALUI portlet. (I'm using server side API for some reasons)
#1 PortalObjectsFactory.Init(OKConfigFactory.createInstance(ConfigPathResolver.GetOpenConfigPath(), "portal"));
#2 IPTSession ptSession = PortalObjectsFactory.CreateSession();
When the #2 is getting executed, i'm getting stange error,

How to modify portlet's appearance

I am pretty new to Plumtree portal, so please pardon me for my basic question. I created a portlet and added it into the portal that the server is installed in my local pc. As default, each portlet has a title bar with blue background color, has a border line, and the content area has light blue background color. How can I modify it to change the background color, remove the border and even remove the title bar if it is applicable?

It depends on which stylesheet has been selected for your subportal and which language you're using. By default I think the portal chooses stylesheet #1, but there are also sheets per language (en, es, etc.). Hit "view source" in your browser window and look for the ".css" extension somewhere in there. That'll tell you which stylesheet you're currently using. Be careful over-customizing this. These can be regenerated through the CSS mill so if you customize the sheet directly you might overwrite it at some point.
Is your portal in production or development right now? Only reason I ask is because it looks like G6 was released today and if you're not yet in production I'd consider looking at it. It's got some really, really nice features for this sort of thing. :)

How do you find what objects you modified?

I am leaving my current company soon and they want me to document all objects that I touched. Is there a simple way to do this? I am thinking of a program that I can run (create) by searching z-objects (programs, structures, tables, forms, etc...) that I have modified. Is this possible?

Just in case anybody finds it useful, here is a quick little program that I wrote. It accepts a user name and a date range. It then saves the objects in an excel file.

Problem in unblock an object to modify.

I trying to edit an object and the system tell me that I need to go to the transaction SE03 and put it in modify option the namespace. How can I know the name space assigned to an object?

Please check the documentation for Namespace> by SE03> expand the object folder --> place the cursor (or highlight the namespace information system)
and click information button from application toolbar.
Otherwise if you want to know available namespaces please double click in the "namespace information system" system will take you to screen and press f4 you can find available namespaces in the system
want to view the objects comes under which namespace--> then double click on objects in Customer namespace
For selecting customer namespace you need to consult with your basis.

Modify portlet preferences programmatically

Hi,
I need to create a desktop programmatically and then change the value of a portlet preference in every portlet of the desktop I just created.
I create my desktop like this :

and it works fine. I now need to get all the portlets of this desktop and modify a specific portlet preference.
Is there a way to get all the portlets from a desktop ??
