Objects suddenly going invisible

This problem has just popped up in a project I have to turn in later today. It seems that at a certain, hard to pin down point in a project, random objects will go invisible. Mostly it happens when I've added one behavior too many (and not my hundredth behavior either, but my second or third behavior for the entire comp. It's not necessarily that an object goes invisible for it's entire duration either, but sometimes at the end (or beginning) of a behavior applied to a second object. I've rebuilt from scratch. I've deleted the guilty behaviors, but had the effected objects stay invisible. I've converted the behaviors to keyframes. I've even trashed the motion.plist file a few times. I had a similar problem on my old G5 over a year ago and reinstalled and all that to no avail. This wonkiness was the main reason I bought a late '08 MBP the month they came out. What the heck am I doing wrong?

Thanks for checking. The problem is that I don't want all of my behaviors to start at 00:00 - some I want to start at 2:00. I just tried parking every object at :00 and moving my behaviors around in the timeline and that is working right now. Is that a Motion rule that I've overlooked? Does every object in a comp need to start at 0? I'll keep messing with it, but I'm fairly certain it's going to crap out again.

without more information, I assume you mean a blackout from sleep issue.
Go to system preferences > energy settings > raise the "turn display off" setting up to as needed, say 5 mins. or 10 mins.
AND ...
unchecked the "Put hard disks to sleep when possible" in both the battery and power adapter tabs.
test it and check back

20"iMac Display Suddenly Goes Black

While I am using my iMac, occasionally suddenly goes black. If I hit a key (usually the space bar), it comes back as if I had put it to sleep.
What is happening? What should be done? What can I do?

I'm having the same issues on my Intel Core 2 Duo 20" iMac. if ANYONE could post a solution, I'd appreciate it.
The computer is still working correctly. It is not on sleep mode. I've press the power button and it goes to sleep, but then when I wake it up it repeats the black screen a couple of times until it finally settles on letting me work.
What is the point of user support forum if there are no moderators around to help people out? :/

My cursor goes invisible. How do I fix this?

I have a macbook pro and when I am using Firefox, the cursor often goes invisible in the main body of the screen when I am using iView, Facebook and other programs. I can still mouse to the side dock or top menu and the cursor becomes visible again but for example if I try to close Firefox and the little box comes up asking if I want to close all tabs, I cannot get the cursor to appear in that box to click yes. This happens quite often and it's really frustrating. A friend said it's a problem caused by Flash but I don't know what to do about Flash to fix it. I am using OS X 10.9.3 and Firefox 29.0.1 I am using Safari to post this question as I don't think it happens in Safari.

iPhones do not have an international warranty. Warranty is valid only for the country of purchase. This is most likely because different countries require different iPhone models. Not reasonable to expect all countries to maintain stock for all models.

PMG5 suddenly goes to sleep (When using Toaster Titanium)

Since yesterday my dual g5 2*2,7 have developed a new problem.
Im trying to toast a dvd for my sister as a x-mas gift, but whenever I start the encoding process the computer after a few minutes suddenly goes into sleepmode without warning. Im suspecting some sort of heating problem because if I wake it up shorty after it goes down in sleepmode again a lot faster than if I wait for a while. Any tips on how to verify any heatproblems? leaks maybe?

the main reason for most of the transports to fail is:
1)Transporting each and every object in the same transport request.
Ideally,
u2022The Infobjects should be transported first in a separate request.
u2022Then the Data source and the Info providers (Cube, ODS, Data source and Multiproviders) together in a separate request.
u2022At the end the transformations and the DTPu2019s in an another separate request.
If the above mention sequence is followed while transporting the transport failures can be avoided.
2)Also when a change is made to an ODS (I object added or deleted) it should again be transported along with the transformation but in separate request.
I.e. the ODS 1st and the transformation.

Monitor suddenly goes dark

My monitor has recently started suddenly going dark. I get a little blue box that says "No signal, analog" and then the computer keeps running but the monitor won't come back on till I shut down and disconnect the power cord 2 or 3 times. This happens in Safari, Firefox, and Logic. It may happen in other apps but those are the ones I use most frequently.
My computer is a 2007 Mac Pro dual core intel xeon. The graphics card is an ATI Radeon X1900 XT. The display is a VX2255.

That message comes directly from your display, not from the Mac.
Consider replacing your aging graphics card with an Apple-firmware 5770, about US$250. It works in every model Mac Pro and drivers are in 10.6.5 and later.

Attention to high temperatures (sun, car, etc)

Why hasn't Apple solved the issue. For what I paid my computer, I expected more from the product than I have gotten. I was a PC person for years and most of my associates told me that I needed to get a mac...I am starting to regret having taken their advice.

A few years ago we had a similar issue on one of our machines, it was an early MacBook. Ended up being a cracked circuit connection on the motherboard. Changes in temperature caused the crack to expand and contract resulting in a shut-down followed by an automatic reboot. Sometimes over-and-over. I understood from AppleCare at the time that those symptoms could have also been any number of things including a intermittent issue with a powersupply.
If you take it back to the Apple Store at some point, I would ask them to have it run some CPU intensive tasks that closely resemble what you are doing when the screen goes black. It took us several try's to find the problem. Calling AppleCare each time to discuss it and troubleshoot before making the trips to the Apple Store really moved things along. In fact, it wasn't until the Apple Store had cracked the case from the inside that things kicked into a higher gear and AppleCare phone support sent out a pre-paid FedX package to send it to a refurbishing facility. Never a problem since and I know the people who have the machine today.
PS Can identify with the trip to the Apple Store, our closest one is in Knoxville, 2hrs from us.

If it's not a battery issue, restore your iPhone.

T41 screen suddenly goes blank - possible overheating?

Having an intermittant problem with my T41, and wondering if anyone has any idea as to the cause.
Most of the time, I use it in a docking station. Sometimes, after I've been using it for a while, the screen suddenly goes blank. There's still hard drive activity, as the light keeps on flashing, but the screen stays blank no matter what I do. The only way out is to do a hard reboot via the power button and, when I switch it back on again, the screen comes back, but usually some of the desktop icons have changed places. One time, the screen resolution had also been reduced to 800x600, and I had to reset it back to 1024x768.
I have noticed recently that, when it does this little screen shutdown trick, the fan doesn't seem to be operating and, if I remove the computer from the docking station, it does seem a bit warm underneath. Then, when I reboot the computer, the fan kicks in right away and seems to be pushing a lot of heat out of the vent in the side.
So does anyone know if this is an overheating issue caused by the fan not kicking in when it should, or could there be another cause? One thing that has me confused is that, according to the Windows fault reporting system, it says its a video driver fault and I should update the driver. So can anyone tell me just what the problem really is?

I've been able to find one of the manuals as a PDF, and it seems like the computer is unexpectedly hibernating due to the CPU overheating. Unfortunately, that's all it says, and doesn't give any advice as to how to fix the problem. Does that sound like a correct diagnosis?

Don't know why this topic has been marked as "solved" when it's still an ongoing problem - I certainly didn't mark it as such!
Installed the program you suggested, and ran a few tests. From those, it looks like the issue could be the CPU, not the GPU, that's been overheating and causing the hibernation. With the computer just idling, the CPU temperature reports about 35-38 degrees C, while the GPU sits around the 40-44 degrees C mark. Playing a HD flash video, the GPU temperature went up to around 50 degrees C, while the CPU went up to 69 degrees C. At that point, the fan hadn't kicked in, so I switched from Smart to Manual mode, at which point it started in Mode 7 and brought the CPU temperature back down.
I then ran the test again a few more times with different videos and, with Smart mode selected again, the fan did kick in automatically at around 66 degrees C on the CPU temperature, but only in Mode 1. This seem to just stabilise the temperature, not bring it down, and I had to go to Manual mode to get a higher fan speed.
Before I installed the fan control program, I don't think the fan was kicking in at all, as there was no sign of air coming out of the vent. The only time the fan did kick in was after the reboots, and then only for a minute or so. The program seems to show that both the CPU temperature sensor and the fan are working OK, but it appears that they aren't talking to each other properly. Any ideas why this could be?

Place object suddenly not working - please help

I have been using PS successfully for a few weeks now. But suddenly when i go to FILE....PLACE - photoshop is not acting like it used to. It places the object as a "smart object" and i cannot see it on the canvas. The only way to see it is to click on the little thumbnail on the layer - which it then opens in a seperate file. In the good ole days (of last week) when i place a file it would show up as expected. I've restarted PS, deleted preferences, and tried placing multiple files. Some files place "normally" and some are creating this problem for me. PNG's seem to work normally - but JPG's are not placing. So i converted the JPG to PNG - but PS does not fall for my trick - it still will not place the object so that i can edit it.
This is incredibly frustrating. What am i missing in this incredibly temperamental program?

I think this is connected to my problem above - another new behavior.
1. I open a file - PS automatically makes it a background image.
2. When i convert it to a layer - it disappears from my canvas. I can still see the image in the thumbnail of the layers panel - but nothing on the canvas.
What is going on here?

IPhone 4 battery was good for a month and suddenly goes dead within 6 hours

I have been running my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.1) for a month without any problem.
Suddenly, two days ago (although I haven't changed anything) the battery goes dead in less than 6 hours...
When I touch the phone, I notice it's warm. I have checked if any app was abusing of the multitasking (by killing all running app in the multitask bar) or the location services (you can tell by the little compas icon next to the battery icon), but it didn't change anything.
I think the last thing I have done, is to purchase my first Multitask application called Avertino. I have since deinstalled it (since I believed it was the root cause of my issue), but no result.
None of my other apps are abusing of the Push Notifications. I am using Push Emails with my Exchange Server, but this hasn't change in years... So this can't be the issue...
Anyways... Something is running and draining my battery, but I don't know what... Reset and Restore hasn't help, but maybe you could?

Speharpre, I wanted to let you know I've figured out what was causing my battery problems, and it may be affecting you, too. I checked wifi, 3G and background apps, but none of these were causing the issue.
In the end, it's my Exchange accounts Push email that was draining the battery so quickly. With Push turned on, the battery drained between 10 and 12% per hour, but as soon as I switched the Push function off, the battery drain went down to about 1%.
All day I've been turning push on for an hour, then off for an hour, the back on for an hour, etc... and each time I switch it back on, I see exactly the same rapid drop in battery.
Still haven't figured out how to fix the problem. I'm going to try deleting the account from the phone and re-adding it, and will also call our server tech support to see if it could be an issue at their end. Either way, I'll let you know.

JTable goes invisible

Ive generated a JTable on base of records from database table is added in a panel and panel is added in a JTabbedPane. when I execute the query first JTable displays... but when I resize the Frame or minimize it and maximize again then JTable goes partially invisible .. i guess it is because of some problem with component paint method.. Ive tried
calling repaint()
validate
doalyout
but none of these works
can any one help me...

send me your code, just made a program myself where i generate a jtable from info from an oracle database and it works fine, whether i resize the frame or not, send to [email protected]
