OBPM integration with Documentum

Hi,
I have to do integration of OBPM with Documentum. I have search on internet about Documentum.but found nothing.
Do anyone have idea , how to implement this?
Thanx,
Vinit.

Hi Prashanth,
Document Content Server and Caching Server version 5.x can be easily integrated
with WLP81. DCTM has implemented the integration and you should look for "Documentum
Content Services for Weblogic" on their site. This basically ties the DCTM systems
to the Virtual Content Repository in WLP. At that point you can interact with
DCTM from portal tools, get content in and out, and navigate the content.

    Hi all Guru,
I have a integration problem, i want to <b>integrate my BSP Application with " Documentum "</b> i.e access " Documentum " from my BSP Application.
Can you please tell me How it is possible and how can integrate two systems?
What configration is required on both systems, any API available, required glue code for integration?
    Please let me know.
    Thanks in advance

    Raja,
First I regret for late reply as i am waitng reply from my team.
Currently it is not integrated with the system, but it’s possible. Basis can do this for us. But they need the specification or requirement for this integration. So basis fallow it?
    2nd is ,
I think better to give you more idea what I mean by  “Integration with Documentum ”  for your better understanding. So you can assist me in a better way.
Scenario: I want to load documents ( word , excel, PDF ….. etc)  in a particularly Directory of Documentum from my BSP Application. i.e. just a click by user and the selected documents start load into Documentum in a specific Directory. The main Objective is all this operation will be done from a BSP interface and transparent to the user about backend jobs and overcome manual work. i.e. copy paste from system to Documentum .

  • Knowledge Provider KPRO architecture integration with Documentum

    Hi All,
As a part of KPro architecture it is understood that the SAP Content server at the bottom layer can be replaced by any third party Content server and in our case we wish to make use of Documentum content server in place of SAP content server
On digging further it is understood that the integration point is an HTTP script
Currently http script is having a default value to point to SAP content server as ContentServer/ContentServer.dll
Now we need to point the http script to point to Documentum ?
Our environment is in solaris and hence instead of dll it should be a shared library .so file.
    Have anyone tried that?
If so how can we achieve this? How can we make the http script to point to Documentum in KPro

    Hi Guys
Can anyone give a clue on this. We are stuck at this phase.

    Tankyou very much...

BI documents are by default integrated into SAP's KM application.  This integration is further enhanced in BI in SAP NetWeaver 2004s.
You might consider approaching this as a KM - Documentum integration project.

  • Oracle Payables Integration With Documentum Content Managment System

    Hi there,
I'm working for a customer who has the requirement to add "attachments" to invoices in Oracle Payables. The attached documents will not be stored in Oracle, but will be links to documents stored in the Documentum content management system. Clicking on the link will retrieve the document and display it.
The problem is I am a complete novice when it comes to developing for Oracle Payables. Documentum provides an extensive java API that I have a lot of experience using but can I get at that from within Payables?
Can anyone point me at the correct documentation/websites to get me going?
    Many Thanks
    Paul

You can attach a URL to an invoice using standard attachments, just query up an existing invoice and click on the "paperclip" attachments icon in the toolbar, enter the sequence, category, description and enter "Web Page" as the data type, then put the URL in the File or URL field.
You could also do the above steps automatedly via PL/SQL (or Java) by calling the appropriate FND attached documents API to insert the data into the required tables.

  • Integration SAP with Documentum

    Hi!
We use Documentum SAP Archive Services 6.7SP2 to store content data of some SAP documents in Documentum repository. We configured this service in Documentum WebAdmin's node "ArchiveLink - Archive". So, content of some SAP documents becomes objects in Documentum repository (they place in folder, specified in Archive node configuration). The problem is, that names of that Documentum objects (object_name attribute of dm_document type) are not user-friendly. It seems, that there are equal to SAP GUIDs.
Does anybody knows, how to make Archive Services set the correct (for a human) object name as in SAP? Is it possible to save this strange identifier somewhere else, except of object_name?

    Hi Sachin,

how the testing will take place on sap side to test the integration?
    can any one tell me?

I am not sure you have got answer already.
If you have to integrate with Documentum, there is a way to do it.I have not worked in SAP CLM but integrated between Documentum and SAP for various application.CLM is ECC component based on the readings from SCN.
If that is the case, each t-code is associated with one business objects in SAP.If the CLM follows the standard SAP technology, you can integrated with Documentum or Opentext using SAP Archivelink.Or you can customize the general object services to fit your front end then use SAP standard archivelink.
Alternative you can use Documentum Webservices embedded in ABAP code to store and retrieve the documents

    Prashanth,
The are a lot of differences in what the Documentum does as compared to
Interwoven Teamsite. Comparing these items is like comparing apples and
    oranges.
Normally in Teamsite, during the document capture process, a Teamsite
    user
categorizes documents by specifying the documents' metadata attributes
    using
Teamsite templates. Once the documents are captured, the Interwoven
    OpenDeploy
workflow mechanism is used to publish the content to the WLCS database.
Unlike Interwoven Teamsite, Documentum products manage the metadata and
documents in their own repositories. Thus, with this integration, WLCS
    queries
the Documentum system at runtime via a specialized JDBC driver supplied
    by
Documentum. Once the Documentum user captures a document and tags it
    with
metadata attributes, the document may be immediately available to WLCS
(depending on administrative options in Documentum, such as whether
    staging is
    involved).
Please contact your sales person for a more detailed overview of what
    these two
products do and how they interface to WLPS.

  • Performance issue with Documentum Contetent Services.

    Hi All,
    This is my environment :
    WebLogic Portal 8.1 SP3.
    Documentum Content Services : 5.2.5.
    Site Caching Services :
The WLP has been integrated with SCS (Site Caching Services) using DCS. The integration is done by creating the content Repository.
The DCS has been used to connect to SCS target and all the contents for a site has been published by using the SCS source system.Essentially, DCS has been used to fetch the metadata of the content as well as the actula content from SCS system.
As a part of DCS configuration, the DCS is connected to SCS target system DB and the IIS from where the actual files are served.
In terms of working, the DCS opena Http connection with the IIS to get the content and it returs in the form of
    'com.bea.content.Node".
This has been tested in local development environment and it works fine and is reasonably fast for a portal page where it displays about 20 contents. In local environment (in one network), it takes about 8-10 seconds to retrive the content and display the same.
BUT,in different environment (ie in another network) ie Staging and Production, the PERFORMANCE is very poor. The same portal page containing about 20 contents takes about 80 seconds.
I am wondering what could be the issue for such a poor performance. In that particular network, the performance for Staging as well as Production environments are same (takes about 80 seconds).
Did anybody face this type of problem??
Can some body give some pointers for resolving this issue?
    Thanks,
