Obtaining the current JSF Phase

Hi all,
One of the ways to obtain the current JSF phase is by implementing a phase listener. However, I would like to know if there are any simpler ways to obtain the current JSF phase that my code is executing in. For example, I would like to know what phases my getters for my beans is executed in. So, every time when my getters for my beans are executed, I would like to know what phase it gets executed in.

Folder Id is one of the attributes you can pass to a custom item
type procedure. In the custom item type, go to the Procedures
tab. At the bottom of the page, under "Pass Attributes as
Parameters" select Folder Id from the list. Under "Pass As" you
have to provide the name of the parameter in your custom
procedure.
For example, here is a procedure that displays a list of
subfolders for a given folder:

A far quicker way of getting an answer to such a basic question is to consult the API documentation at http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/api/
If you have already looked and couldnt fin the answer then have a look at the methods inherited.

Can you determine the current phase running?

Is there any API which you can invoke to tell you what phase the JSF lifecycle is currently in?
For example, suppose I have a backend bean, receiving JSF invocations. I would like to be able to tell what phase the JSF is in? for example restore views or render response?

How to obtain the Subject from the current context ?

Im working on a SSO project and everything is fine with getting the Principal from a HttpServletRequest object or from an EJBs SessionContext. But, I have some business logic that is not necessarily behind a SLSB (as a façade patter) and I dont want to propagate the Principal reference from Presentation to the Business Layer. Thats why, I would like too know if OC4J has some sort of utility to get the current authenticated Subject.

Get the current Oracle Function

Is it possible to obtain the current Oracle function from within the controller? From the OADBTransaction it is possible to obtain the current responsibility using the getResponsibilityId() method but there appears to be no way of identifying the current function. Any ideas?

I have found that when a page is involved in a workflow that OANavigation.getItemAttrText(oapagecontext, "P_CALLED_FROM") does return the correct function name.

How to Select the Current Row When Using af:iterator?

Hello all,
I encounter the following problem when using af:iterator to display data from
a View Object:
When trying to display the content of a row via a popup, only the first row is
returned no matter which row is selected. So a selection of the current row
should exist or some other method which should allow the access to the
current row.
The af:table has a selectionListener attribute which permit to achieve this.
Does anyone know about some similar attribute or some method for
selecting the current row when the af:iterator is used?

I would be interested in the answer to this basic question as well. I cannot get the selected row value of an attribute in an iterator for a view if I simply set-up a attribute binding to the iterator. It seems that this should be possible. I've had no other option but to obtain the current row and the related attributes programmatically. This works fine, but if there is a more elegant option, then I'd certainly like to use it.

You can't change the existing queue if the SPAM status is DDIC_ACTIVATION.
Can you please check the SPAM --> goto --> import logs.
You need to raise an OSS message if you want to reset the SPAM queue.

Obtaining the template of the current page in extJS

How can I obtain the template of the current page in the design dialog of a component?

Found a solution to it. All the properties of the page gets stored in an json object which can be accessed by appending .1.json to the page url. If http://localhost:4502/content/en.html is your page, then http://localhost:4502/content/en.1.json gives your page properties. Hence, we can extract the required property(cq:template) from the object using getJSON() method.

DataTable Exception: Invalid operation for the current cursor position

I have a JSF application that lists rows from a view in a SQL Server database. I have set up a commandLinks in an extra columns.
The data is displayed properly, but when I select one of the commandLinks I get the "Invalid operation for the current cursor position" exception.

Looks like some inconsistency in the jsp source:
in the 2nd link the url property is set. I don't think
you need to set this.
I couldn't tell what action you want to occur when you
click. If you want some action to occur such as
navigating to another page then you can use Page Navigation. Then you would need an action handler
for the LinkAction component.

if I want to edit a row data, and then know which row is edited in the component datatable, and how to do?

It's quite confusing when you leave Struts and try to adapt your projects for JSF for the first time...
I wanted to click on a row with a "onMouseClick" on the TR tag like I used to do in Struts/JSTL. But it seems to be impossible in a dataTable.
Ok then. I've added a column at the end of the row with an icon.
But eventually I didn't need to declare link parameters.
In my BackingBean I did like this :

Thanks to your reply I realized that putting this form in the middle of the dataTable seems to be impossible.
So I put this form in a floating DIV in front of the table with a shadow.
It works :o) !
But I'm a little bit disapointed to be honest...
I used to build my web applications with Struts and JSTL and doing this kind of interface was really easy.
I've decided 3 days ago to convert into JSF because the "GUI Layer" seemed to be improved.
But now I realize that I cannot put a onMouseOver and onMouseClick on a row and I cannot display a different row in the middle of a table....
I think it's a shame because there is a facet for header and footer.
And it would be great if we could create our own personal facet that appears only if a condition is true.
For exemple " if the current item id is the same as the request parameter id then display the following facet content ....... (with a panel group and a form inside to update the row) "
It's easy to do that with JSTL thanks to c:forEach and c:if but it seems to be impossible to use JSTL tags like this during the dataTable iteration.
And JSF tags seems to have no logical tags like " if " or loops that can be nested in dataTable.
I really need to realize this interface (you click on a row then an edit form appears where you clicked).
Do I have to write a component myself that extends dataTable?
Do you know if writing such a component is hard to do for a beginner like me?
(I've juste discovered JSF 3 days ago and I've used Struts/JSTL for 2 years til now)
I'd be glad to have much advices from you about that.

Troubleshoot: when I try to update my Iphone 4 (ios 4.3.3) to the latest ios via itunes. It gives me a message "This version of iTunes (10.6.3) is the current version." Why?

Hello - I am trying to update my Iphone 4 from its current Ios (4.3.3) to the latest Ios (7.x.x?). I currently do not sync using icloud, and have only started syncing to my itunes today.
So far, I have backed up my Iphone using Itunes, transferred all my purchases using Itunes, and imported all my photos using Iphoto.
Then clicked on my Iphone in the left hand Column and in the screen that appeared found the "Update" button. Next to the update button read "A newer version of the iPhone software is available (version7.0). To update your iPhone with the latest software, click Update."
I then clicked the "Update" button and a pop-up message reading "This version of iTunes (10.6.3) is the current version." appeared.
Please advise why this happened, and how I should go about restoring and updating this Iphone.
After updating to the latest IOS, my next step will be to sign up for iCloud.

Thank you for your question. iTunes 11.1 is required to update to and sync with iOS 7. If you are still running iTunes 10.6.3, I recommend trying to obtain the update by going to the iTunes menu and selecting Check for Updates.

If you continue to get the message that iTunes is up to date, you can download the latest version of iTunes here:

Once the file downloads, double click on the installation file that downloaded to initiate the installation.
