OC4J can be Certified for Redhat ES?

Hi,
OC4J can be Certified for Redhat ES? since the Redhat site say
"While Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES provides the same core capabilities as Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS, it is designed for smaller systems with up to two CPUs and 4GB of main memory."
the only feature missing is clustering
What Oracle engineers think about this?
Best regards
Clovis

Hi,
OC4J standalone runs fine with RedHat ES (actually it runs excellent == I do).
I don't think that Oracle will ofiicially support the ES version of RedHat. But I am not the descision maker on this topic.
Thanks

  • Lost Hard drive need the Tarantella 3 program for Redhat 8

Does anyone know where I can find Tarantella3 for Redhat 8? I have my
Certificate of License and Authencity document, but I lost my hard drive
which contained the Tarantella install program. Obviously I cannot pull
the license out of the product because the hd failed.

I tried that and input my license key in the format
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX and the screen displayed "invalid key".
This was never accepted. Any idea why?

The COLA should have the license key. Register on Customer Central and
you should be able to get to the Downloads section and download 3.30.
Then use the keys from the COLA to license your server.

Tarantella v3.42.947 that will install on Redhat 8 from
    http://www.tarantella.com/download
if you need an older version then you need to have registered or have
Maintenance with us. You can register @
    https://custcentral.tarantella.com -> Downloads
You need 3.4x licenses for the last two versions of the product.

  • 8.1.7EE certified for which file systems on RedHat 7.1 ?

    Hi,
Does anybody know if Oracle 8.1.7 Enterprise Edition is certified for
any other file systems than ext2 (and raw) on RedHat 7.1.
Specifically journaling file systems, e.g., ReiserFS, XFS, ext3.
    Thanks in advance,
    /Leif Klepp

Well I think the problem is at Sun, not at us, but I couldn't figure out how to contact them for this particular problem. I hope they will someday notice this topic and fix the problem or, if we are doing something wrong, say what else requirements we have to meet :).

  • JDeveloper 10.1.2 certified for JDK 1.5?

    Hi there,
I just wanted to find out if JDeveloper 10.1.2 is certified for JDK 1.5? I have to be able to host Java/JSP code with Generics and our servers are running JDK 1.4 ... would help to know this information.
    Thanks!

If you want to develop with JDK 1.5 you should use JDeveloper 10.1.3.
The tricky part is that OAS 10.1.2 doesn't support JDK 1.5 - to fix this you can install an OC4J 10.1.3 that will be managed by OAS 10.1.2.

  • ORACLE 817 and above IS NOT certified on RedHat 7.1 and above

    Hi,
ORACLE 817 and above is not certified on RedHat 7.1 and above.
I would not waste any time. Rather would go with
SUSE (It works like a charm...) http://www.suse.de/en/support/oracle/
    or TurboLinux
    Regards,
    Sebastian

    Go to www.oracle.com.
click on downloads in the upper right.
Select 8i Enterprise edition in the select product box.
    select 8.1.7 for linux.
You should see the glibc patch on this page.
you will need a userid and password to the oracle technology network, but these are free if you do not have one.
    Thanks

  • Configure BPMJ2EE 10.3.1 for Redhat Linux

install BPM J2EE 10.3.1 for Redhat Linux and weblogic server 10.3 for linux in Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.
The oracle DB is installed in Windows 2003 server sp1 of another machine.
When I configure the BPM, it is failed at about 70%.
Mush I install weblogic server and BPM and config the BPM as root?

    Hi YE,
If you are deploying BPM on a Weblogic Server you'll find your workspace on the following url
    http://localhost:7001/workspace
This is because the all the jar services are deployed to the WLS. You can monitor if it is installed by going into the Process administrator -> Engines -> J2EE jar deployment (or something)
There you'll find all the jars that are/can be deployed. If you make any changes using the BPM admin center configuration don't forget to recreate and redeploy the jar file.
    Hope this helps.
    Kind regards
    Nils

  • /etc/init.d/imq script fix for RedHat Linux?

I'm using Message Queue 3.0.1 SP2 (Build 4-a) Platform Edition and trying to get it set up to run on a RedHat machine.
I am finding that ps (procps version 2.0.7) is not compatible with the script installed as /etc/init.d/imq.
Specifically, that script's findproc function looks like this:
    # find the named process(es)
    findproc() {
      pid=`/bin/ps -ef |
      /bin/grep -w $1 |
      /bin/grep -v grep |
      /bin/awk '{print $2}'`
      echo $pid
    }and the script later calls
findproc $EXECUTABLEThe problem is that imqbrokerd (the value of EXECUTABLE) is a script, and so does not show up in the process list. I have struggled to glean the proper PID from ps another way, but so far have not been successful.
Does anyone have an example of a findproc fixed for RedHat's procps?

I can see the imqbrokerd process when I do a 'ps -ef' on my
    RH Linux system.
    # /bin/ps -ef | grep broker
    root 22571 1 0 12:28 pts/0 00:00:00 /bin/sh bin/imqbrokerd -bgnd -au
I tried manually stopping the broker through the
/etc/init.d/imq script and it seems to work for me.
    # env DEBUG=1 /etc/init.d/imq stop
    Stopping imqbrokerd ... done
How are you using /etc/init.d/imq ?

  • Configuring Oc4j 9.0.2 for SSL

    Hi,
I'm trying to enable oc4j 9.0.2 for SSL communication. I have created the certificate request using the Oracle Wallet Manager and received a signed certificate from CA. I refer my .der file created by OWM in the ssl-config tag-keystore attribute.
When i start my oc4j server, i receive the following error.
Error starting HTTP-Server: Unable to intialize SSLServerSocketFactory 'com.evermind.ssl.JSSESSLServerSocketFactory': Invalid keystore format
If i create a self-signed certificate with keytool, it works fine.
Can someone help me in this.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I found that Oracle Wallet Manager cannot be used with Oc4J-SO. KeyTool should be used instead. However certificates for HTTP server could be configured using the Wallet. It could then be configured to proxy the request to the oc4j using mod ssl. As my requirements are different, i did not try the latter. Hope this info is useful to someone working on a similar issue.
    Thanks.

  • Procedure for becoming certified for OS/DB migrations?

    Hi,
Can someone please tell me how one can go about becoming certified for OS/DB migrations?... ie is there a specific course and what are the pre-requisites?
    Thanks
    Sharon
PS: We are currently on 4.6C and looking to migrate to another O/S.

    All complete now.
There isn't a SAP suported method of migrating an APO 30A system, just some generic migration info.
I used a combo of the DB6 migration stuff, standard migration utilities and oracle exp/imp.
    All worked without a hitch.

  • How do I obtain Firefox version 1.0 or 2.0 (certified for my university work) for my G4 Power PC iMac, OS 10.4.11?

Firefox 1.0 or 2.0 are the only versions certified for my Mac OS 10.4.11 and to use with the learning system on campus here at the University of New Mexico. I have an iMac, Power PC G4, purchased in September of 2003. It has a 1.25 GHz processor and 768 MB DDR SDRAM. How do I obtain one of these versions if Firefox. Thank you.

Doesn't Firefox 3.6 versions work with that software?
Firefox 3.6.x versions are still supported and should also run on your PowerPC Mac.

According to http://www.linux1394.org/download.php you should not need any additional kernel module support. You may need to install the libraw1394 RPM packages, but you can get those from your distribution media or from ULN, if your are subscribed.

  • How many connections Developer Suite/OC4J can support?

    Greetings to all
I would like some information regarding the possible load the devsuite's/oc4j can support.
I know it is not for production use and only for testing purposes, still I would like
someone to inform me about that or at least to point me to a relevant thread or documentation.
I have searched extensively in the forum and on the Web and haven't found something that hints
    these kind of details.
    Thank you in advance

As an interest point, all the SpecJ (and old ECPerf) benchmarks that we run, all just use OC4J standalone.
The SpecJ benchmark if focussed on testing J2EE serversm so it's not surprising that our J2EE container is used I guess, but what is interesting is that we do just use OC4J and it satisfies all our needs vis-a-vie the benchmark.
If you are looking for something lighter than the full application server, OC4J standalone should certainly be something you look at.
    cheers

  • Can I pay for an Aperture workshop

I've had my mac for a couple of years,
I've had my one to ones and I went to 1 Aperture workshop which was ruined by 2 domineering women - I complained afterwards but
    got nowhere.
Can I pay for additional workshops with Apple UK?

Not sure about the UK, usually I'd say for any Pro App to contact an Apple Certified Pro and schedule a one-on-one with them, but there doesn't appear to be any Aperture-certified pros in the UK.
Over at ApertureExpert.com, they do have a collection of Live Training Sessions delivered via their website, and they do a free live one every few weeks. If you can follow along online, it's a fairly inexpensive way to learn, and there's a few low rez samples that you can look at to see if you like it.
Oh, and Apple does have a few how-to videos on their website. These helped me out when I was first learning Aperture.
